This act of "influences" looking down on the market is very unhealthy to the rest of the community because by spreading these concepts people especially the newbies get worried and start selling and would only help it continue down the dip allay.
I agree with your reply. Talking the market down especially by 'celeb' figures only makes the situation of the market worse because negativity spreads easily and it will start getting other people worried. |

I believe that this is a kind of manipulation, which is very beneficial to someone. At least for investors and holders to sell their coins at an attractive price
I don't think anybody knows the real reason because the movement of the market is influenced by all different factors and yes it could have been caused by the news, or exchanges or people just selling and panicking. |

I agree with you, do not have anything that makes us too panic. It will be okay if we keep it. We should believe what bitcoin has done in the past few years and wait for prices to be able to go higher.
Its hard not to worry but many people remain still hopeful in the power of Bitcoin and maintain their holding positions. I just hope this trend upturns out soon because we all need a little positivism. |

if one day everyone drops bitcoin, bitcoin will no longer be valuable, bitcoin will only become garbage. bitcoin will only be a history of the type of digital currency and crypto type of currency I agree with the above because its the community that gives Bitcoin its value but in order for that to happen there would have to be a lot of investors dropping it at once. |

Digibyte is good for investment purpose as it has strong background. Redcoin is also good but on average. Pinkcoin and bytecoin are below average. I would recommend you to invest in digibyte as it was pumped in 2017. I think if we where to know for sure which coin you could buy for cheap now and good investment in the future, the people speculating or thinking they know for sure won't probably post it here. |

I don't think bitcointalk is lost. Still it is one of the best Bitcoin forum with quality posts and with zero spamming. I very much agree with the reply from above. Bitcointalk is still the best forum with many quality posts and in no way its anything close to a scientific journal. It just has the right balance, I think which is why in my opinion its the best crypto forum. |

I think with more people accepting Bitcoin around the world the price of Bitcoin will stay within the volatility zone because of the mass selling from the new investors especially, now when we see a reduction in the price of Bitcoin. Having said this I think the price of BTC is not no way near its real value as I believe this to be >8.5k.

People were disappointed of the bearish market since January and they are trying to cash out and make money on the growing bitcoin, so it makes alts to drop even more.
There is that as well as the fact that Bitcoin price had fallen by more than 5% which would also cause the altcoins to drop down in value. To be honest I'm not surprised because altcoins follow into the steps of the Bitcoin trend but what I'm not sure about why that's happening to be honest. |

The price of Bitcoin, thus, is much more volatile and its market cap is more highly variable.
I agree with this. The stock market is fully regulated and less volatile with prices controlled by political moves while this is not the case for Bitcoin. At the same time, they're both risky to invest but overall to me Bitcoin brings better rewards. |

I only have first hand experience with trading. it's been up and down but I'm ahead. Everything I have heard about mining has been that its a loosing proposition. I would love to make my money mining over trading if possible. Trading is high stress.
Both take a certain level of skill and dependency and I think while its easier to do trading, mining would be preferred but is less practiced because of the hardware and energy costs. |

You're right, and holding a coin is still the effective strategy for gaining profits in long term. Holding coins is very effective during market downtrend when their prices goes down and all you have to do is be patience wait for their price to go up again. Their price could go down further but if these coins you are holding are known to be potential then you don't have to worry because they will recover soon.
Holding your coins is the best thing you can do right now while the market prices are still dropping in order to avoid losing your investments because the market prices are volatile. Yes, I very much agree with the above. Holding is what we must do even if at times it seems frustrating but in the end it will all be worth it because then the profit will sure be good. |
