The only reason that gambling is making you cry is when you are losing to much money with gambling and that is so hard because the bad thing is that you cant stop.
So it would be better for you if you are playing with small amounts so you wont lost that much money with gambling and than you dont have also to cry.

You are doing saving money by investment but a better solution can be investing some percentage of your money in bitcoin and not all of it. It all comes down to how much risk he is willing to take.
