701  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] KNCMINER Pre-Order 1-500 Spot on: June 05, 2013, 08:06:03 PM
How do you figure out how many units you can order on your account?   You mention 1 and 3, how did you figure that out?
702  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnCMiner Openday Wednesday 5th & Monday 10th June on: June 05, 2013, 07:51:41 PM
Hi folks,
I feel that the community is waiting to hear back from the Open day event. Me and my associate attended. We put forward most if not all the questions that I have received (quite a few). It will take me some time to write all the answers down, hopefully I'll be done by tomorrow afternoon.

It has been said already by others who attended in this thread, but I'll reiterate what they stated. This endeavor seems legit. For the moment that is all I'll say. Answers to the questions will be posted as well as a few pictures soon(hopefully tomorrow afternoon).

When did they say it would be actually shipping?   Which model is shipping first and did they have a prototype for you?

Thanks,
-D

706  Economy / Goods / Re: 2010 Silver Eagle 1 troy oz Silver AMAZING QUALITY on: May 29, 2013, 05:55:08 PM
$37.00 per ounce is quit the premium over spot even for eagles.  I am interested at a more reasonable price, I can get cheaper than that from any local dealer.

707  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #2) on: May 29, 2013, 03:10:31 PM
Guy's

Has anyone got their batch 2 Unit(s) without having an account in Avalon store? I mean ordered as guest.

10X

No one has received a batch 2 order that was purchased as guest at this time. At least no one that has posted up.

Nope, this is troubling.
708  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Beats Headphones, Bose Headphones, Sony MDX Headphones on: May 28, 2013, 06:57:54 PM
Guys Sol republic is better and they cost less Tongue

Where are the specs for these?  Do they go down to 3 Hz too?  Ya, right.  Sure they do!   Cheesy

I'll stick with my Sony thanks.  Gotta have that sub-bass for the drop!

Yep, 3hz is impressive, just hearing a 10hz tone is nice.  My Beats Pro are doing well, the construction is solid and they are loud.
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Winklevoss twins' Bitcoin 2013 Talk on: May 22, 2013, 01:38:53 PM
Overall, I was impressed that they made it out and it was interesting to watch their keynote.   I don't think we should be using the word "wannabe" when talking about the twins, they have their hard earned money invested like the rest of us so they are a part just like us.  I did wish they would of stay near the stage after their keynote for some additional follow-up questions but I had reports of them around the conference so I know some others got a chance to chat it up.   It was much more of a positive than a negative for Bitcoin and that is what we need.   Thank you Winklevii.

Price update.
713  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: May 15, 2013, 05:16:12 PM
I ordered and paid early on Feb 2. I've even received confirmation from WalletBit about the order, but nothing from the two tickets opened up with Avalon and still no orders showing in the store.

I am happy others are going to see their orders soon. It would just be nice if Avalon could follow through with any of their communications in the past. I have no idea what to expect right now regarding my order.

I sent Yifu an email inquiring about this.  He stated orders would ship in order to when payment was received so orders placed on Feb 2nd should ship first and then so on and so forth.  Things seem to be moving so lets just see what happens.  Contact him or open a ticket today asking about this.   Who knows how many tickets they have from before, it could be lost in the shuffle.

716  Bitcoin / Legal / Department of Homeland Security Shuts Down Dwolla Payments to and From Mt. Gox on: May 14, 2013, 09:54:24 PM
Direct Quote:

"The DHS issued a "seizure warrant" for the funds associated with Mt. Gox's Dwolla account.

The Department of Homeland Security appears to have shut down the ability to use Dwolla, a mobile payment service, to withdraw and deposit money into Mt. Gox, a Bitcoin trading platform. A Dwolla representative confirmed the move to Betabeat. Chris Coyne, cofounder of OKCupid, posted a screenshot(url: https://twitter.com/malgorithms/status/334395559366520832) of an email he received from Dwolla, stating that due to recent orders from the Department of Homeland Security, Dwolla cannot complete the bank transfer to Mt. Gox.

Is this the first shot across the bow of Bitcoin?   Many commentators have speculated that if there was regulation of Bitcoin, they would go after the exchanges first.  Another unfortunate event after the Coinlab lawsuit.

What do you think?

Cheers,

I don't mind swinging by the Marriott.  I will be at the Hilton bar as well.     We should make a twitter hashtag (#bitconferenceSJ ?)so we can follow where everyone is meeting for drinks and socializing.
719  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ASIC Mining Hosting Service - Electricity @0.02/Kwh (Washington State) on: May 13, 2013, 09:05:21 PM
What i dont understand yet is the power cost. Its so very low that it seems unbelievable to me. I thought about finding cheaper power in my country but it seems not possible. At least in a reasonable scale.
So when you get so low power cost... why isnt the creator of the power selling it into energy exchange? I mean they would get a better price there. Why is it sold so low?

If you dont want to answer in public, please send me a pm. Its not that i could take your source since im on the other side of the earth... Smiley

Washington state does have some of the lowest energy prices in the country, but even then .02/kwh is still unbelievably low. http://www.bls.gov/ro9/cpiseat_energy.pdf shows the average for Seattle area at .09, so I'm not sure how he could get it for .02.

The phase 2 location will not be in Seattle.   I am currently paying that rate but the plan is to move the operation to a that low cost power district.   Already getting strong demand for this.   Look for 20-30 units to manage and host.  Hope that helps explain the project.
