703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will $XRP be safe for long term? on: September 26, 2020, 05:33:22 PM
Real growth in terms of partnership and deal which is only profitable for the team involved? Please study XRP very well you'll see that it was not created for the betterment of crypto community, enthusiast or investors but for the betterment the institutions.
That is the case with all the other coins and projects, the owners make a ton of money even if the project is successful or not. Bitcoin created a monster and then do you think that all the coins that were created were are for the betterment of the community. I am not a big fan of centralized coins either but who knows what their position would be 10 years from now.
You make a good point but in 10 years time I don't see the community support centralized coins and the only change I believe will occur is the centralized of more exchange and crypto payment site cause crypto will be moving to the edge of mainstream and more AML will be implemented by the government.

Theres nothing safe about XRP but selfishness.

The problem is people want to trust people and for some reason, when guys go out and wear a tie and a suit and smile people feel safe in them. And okay, I get it, sometimes you want to trust a selfish person to make the most money, but people don't realize these guys at Ripple ALREADY made their money and this is going nowhere except for small pumps to squeeze every last possible cent from investors.
Absolutely and I hope the naive crypto investors will for once wake up from their sleep to face the reality.
704  Economy / Economics / Re: UK’s economy will lose a good amount of money if football clubs shut. on: September 25, 2020, 07:11:52 PM

Thats understood er since the ease of lockdown, people are allow to go to barber shop, restaurants, place of worship etc thats should also happen in the sports scheme either so that the clubs, the people involved will also make more income and also get inspire by the fans.
It will be good if the UK government come to a good conclusion.

The fullest capacity of a well patronize barbing saloon is not greater than 30, not using numbers a barbing saloon, gym house, capacity or people in it can't match that of a football stadium which can be in an excess of seventy thousand people.
Restaurant, eatry and relaxation centers are not fully opened and there is still limitations of possible people, some has no chairs, customers can only buy take always because of the corona virus.
Football stadium reopening is in the level of schools reopening it not rushed, if rush can spark another wave of corona virus.
I understand that. The last time i check restaurant and relaxation center are fully opened but are giving some certain rules and restrictions of practising good hygiene which will curb the spread of the virus. However, I believe the UK football clubs only want the government to allow the reopening of 1/4 of the stadium capacity not all.

705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will $XRP be safe for long term? on: September 25, 2020, 01:24:36 PM
Honestly, XRP shouldnt be consist as a safe investment at all due it total manipulation in nature and I will guys to understand that the increase in sales of a particular cryptocurrency in the market or partnerships doesn't mean the coin is good as an investment especially when it  a centralized coins.
I have seen alot of people invested in Edinar etc and later lost their investment.
Whenever there arises a discussion related to ripple, someone will state its growth as manipulated.
Thats because it was the most manipulated coin in crypto market
From my view XRP is manipulated at times, but there is real growth.
Real growth in terms of partnership and deal which is only profitable for the team involved? Please study XRP very well you'll see that it was not created for the betterment of crypto community, enthusiast or investors but for the betterment the institutions.

This can be understood by its continued progress in development and partnering with different centralized firms to use the Ripplenet on all transaction needs. Without doubt XRP will be safe for long term.
Theres nothing safe about XRP but selfishness.
706  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Wolfage.finance DEFI SCAM!! on: September 25, 2020, 12:46:15 PM
There are many DEFI projects scams everyday.
Do you by any chance love the fact people seems not to be doing something big to limit it.

but this can still be legit, depending on what they show in the future.
If they are in deed legit, they won't problem to prove the OP wrong in other to save their project.

If they disappear, you can quote and mock me in the future.
After the investors are been scammed and you believe mocking you'll save the investors? This must be a puppet account from the accused project.

If this is/was a scam, the investors are already busted.
If I was a puppet account, I would shill the fuck out of this project, not steer the people away from it.
I only said that Crypto Viking is as fishy as this project, the man is obsessed with this thing. He has made some really good points but in the same amount a few fake ones that were deleted. The amount of stalking and obsession made me second guess which at first was really solid evidence.
From his own words, he contacted binance, tornado, stalking on telegram/twitter/youtube and follows transactions/money etc. Maybe he is just afraid that he might be wrong after all the time he invested, who knows.

I've had the account for a few years, but never had a reason to log into it. I'm searching for a few solid DEFI projects, sadly most of them are scams.
Let's agree Crypto Viking is obsessed about the project to be scam while you're not a puppet account and just an investor looking for solid Defi projects. Why don't you stay out of the issues while you notify the project team about this thread so they can defend themselves not you putting yourself in the middle using a wake up an account to depend on a scam project?
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks Launder $2 Trillion While Claiming BTC Is For Money Laundering? on: September 24, 2020, 11:17:34 PM
This is not true at all and you all understand it. BTC is not designed for money laundering. Much more money is laundered in other ways, including using the us dollar.
You are absolutely right because bitcoin was designed as an alternative means to make people financial freedom but the decentralized aspect of it is what the government and institutions don't like about it which the reeason why they make some false statements  about crgpto to be an instrument of money laundering and darkweb. But the information provided by the OP make us to understand that all the scam and launder done through crypto is still amateur.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: European Commission officially proposes regulatory framework for crypto-assets on: September 24, 2020, 10:11:16 PM
The European Commission have be on this issue since last year, the important part is that they dont see crypto currency as a threat to their economy and I love the fact that President Ursula and the committee involve took some steps to understand cryptocurrencies opportunities and the risk it poses and provides adequate support.
Meanwhile, this regulatory framework should have been published since last year if not for the pandemic problem and it good they don't change their decision about crypto.

Quote
appears to imply that they have no plans to attempt to regulate protocols like Bitcoin, aside from the usual AML stuff.  The focus will definitely be on the stablecoins that claim to be backed by fiat or other assets, because this is the part that requires trust.  Trust can be abused, therefore requiring regulation around consumer protection.

In essence, protocols can't lie.  Companies can (and often do).

Exactly, this is gonna hamper the stablecoins the most. It is pointless to putforth regulations on bitcoin or any framework associated with it. They just can't control the borderless assets ! Unlike the stablecoins which will have fiat regulations imposed on them and any trade that happens or in a holding will be more or less fiat currency! So that goes to centralised framework.

This will definitely have positive impact on the investors but could be unhappy movement for those who thought they will hide their taxes and also earn plenty of good interest rates through stablecoin holdings. Since lot of people do think it's better to put money in them rather than getting low % in the savings account.

But such regulations will now put them in ambiguity unless they dont have any problems with exposed investment.

they can make the company who created the stablecoins be accountable. there is nothing more to check on BTC.
there was a youtube channel i have watched just recently which is related to this regulatory framework which in order for it to be regulated, traders will have to trade their BTC to stablecoins first before cashing out to fiat. this is sort of what he said in that video but its a centralized framework for sure.
Although, i havent finish reading the framework cause it a long list but I want you to know that some Youtube video can misleading and I sill advise you to read the list by yourself.

709  Economy / Economics / Re: UK’s economy will lose a good amount of money if football clubs shut. on: September 24, 2020, 01:33:14 PM
The UK government are concerned And looking out for the health of people because of the corona virus.
Thats understood but ever since the ease of lockdown, people are allow to go to barber shop, restaurants, place of worship etc thats should also happen in the sports scheme either so that the clubs, the people involved will also make more income and also get inspire by the fans.
It will be good if the UK government come to a good conclusion.

The whole Covid business is a load of bollocks. Opening the clubs would mean that they have to admit they have been wrong, and they have wasted enormous amounts of our money over this not very dangerous virus.
I don't why you consider COVID19 as not a very dangerous virus but the rate of how people are infected and killed by it is enough to consider it a dangerous virus.

They have to continue promoting this panicdemic to allow them to implement forced vaccinations
I also feel concern about the vaccination which ought to have been develop by now but why would it be forced?

711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Co-founder of Reddit Bullish on AVAX. You? on: September 23, 2020, 11:28:10 PM
Im also very bullish on avax.

I have also betting on avax coins too. 10x or 20x ROI from the ico price will be a real thing for sure. I trust emin and he's a good guy. i were putting all of my hopes in this coin.

AVAX for the next polkadot. The developers were also releasing very small amounts of coins to the market too.

I salute your great confidence but still you have to be careful with a project like this because it doesn't rule out the possibility that things that are beyond your expectations could happen later, for me personally, I still don't believe in Avax because it seems like a lot of imbalances are happening on their project such as their platform that cannot be accessed and my advice if you want to invest, you better to find more information related to avax.
it is true when we want to invest our money we should think about the impact we will receive. these considerations are not only about advantages but also disadvantages. for the avax itself i am not that interested because it is new to me and it took me time to learn and find out about them before i joined in and bought this coin.
I know you guys are saying without tryna to take a look at this before but stop says anything as a scam coin and that will give you nothing. I have participated in the AVAX public sale before and I just enter at this coin @0.85 for each avax.

I have also earned very good money from there.
You guys just missed the best opportunity to grab money from the market.

IDK why some people keep calling this as shitcoin even someone is still feeling doubt about this while I have made really good ROI from there.  Cheesy DYOR

It is too early to tell that this is a shitcoin. Though I haven't invested on their sale. I believe they have stronger foundation than those sprouting defi projects right now. I think AVAX is just slow in actual implementation? Or are they still on track with their timeline? MAybe if we will see their platform live, then let's see what will be the impact of their network to the crypto community.
Yes, it too early to tagged the coin as a shitcoin but the current reason why the coin was gaining some bullish was because the coin private sale was completely bought by influential people like co-founder of reddit, vitalik etc but people still dont understand that all this dont make the coin special.
The Avax implementation is not follow as they wrote in the roadmap because the coin shouldnt be traded on exchange when they are still in mainnet testing.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH2.0 New Update Today on: September 23, 2020, 09:00:15 PM
I think it been a year that we've waited for its launched date announcement after several times of postponement and I can't wait to finally see the ETH2.0 development. But I don't want to make a try either instead of waiting for other's feedback...lol
I hope this will went smoothly and fewer bugs to appear. Kinda something it is normal but I know the team/developers had prepared for such thing. And then let's see how this will affect the growing Defi projects, sounds very interesting.
The project is still not on it final development and I believe it will still take more time before the ETH2.0 will be fully launch, according to the ETH2.0 timeline and milestones, the project will be develop in several phases and it current in the phase 0 after the total validator reached the step is 2.0 test net and after that we can say the long awaited ETH2.0 will be launch
713  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India plans to introduce law to ban cryptocurrency trading on: September 23, 2020, 06:41:30 PM
How many time they are trying to do that!
Numerous time.

Do you think they will achieve this success by banning cryptocurrency?Huh?
Yes, they can successfully ban cryptocurrency is they continue to introduce different kind of laws against crypto which will lead to some restrictions and later total ban because India is somehow an imperialism country but it a shame that their government dont care much about the benefits Indians gained from crypto during the pandemic and economy meltdown.

716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help to Restore Ether wallet on: September 22, 2020, 08:50:24 PM
https://kb.myetherwallet.com/en/migration/importing-v2-json-file/

used some help from this topic and installed gith but now its showing invalid character c at the end of your private key.
Thats strange.

now went to this and there is someone saying paste Keystore in plain text in a text file now I don't understand how to paste it in plain text.

If someone was asking you to paste your Keystore don't answer.
First, understand that the process to restore your wallet through the JSON file maybe risky and I will advise you to use a secure computer. There is a 2-3 process i believe you can use to restore the wallet process.
1) The JSON automatically contains your ETH wallet private keys and I will like to know if the JSON file contains normal number alphabets and numbers?

I didnt understand. I have tried all the things. And someone is not saying to paste its MEW they saying convert it in some V3 keystore.

Dont. What guarantee you they wont steal all the ETH before giving you the key store?
I asked you what the text inside the json file look like but you dont answer. Meanwhile, I will advise you to open the json file with any text editor copy pass the code and decrypt it using this code beautify site.

Disclaimer: I haven't use the site before but according to my knowledge code beautify should do the job.
717  Economy / Economics / Re: Internet shutdowns by governments are bad for corporate marketing on: September 22, 2020, 03:56:36 PM
Venezuela and Iran should be included in this category. In Venezuela no tangible reason behind internet blocked execept for claiming it political decision while in Iran was shut down to stop people from voting.

Government don't shutdown the internet on the whole country, they are doing it in the particular region right? So not much of the economic activities are going to get affected
In centralized countries where modern colonialism and imperialism are practiced anything can happen for a selfish reason which will generate big money for the group in government.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the price of BTC (and any other crypto) always higher in Asian countries? on: September 22, 2020, 01:01:20 PM
Its consistently higher that what the normal currency exchange rate would suggest in Asian countries.

For example if you multiply the USD rate of 1 BTC with the CNY rate, its 1 BTC = CNY 73,600, but exchanges there have it around CNY 75,500.
Note that the price of all crypto exchange site cant be the same because each exchange dealings are not the same and the Asian exchange site are expected to have more demand than supply.

In other countries in Asia and South America also BTC is more expensive to buy in non-USD currencies than in USD.

Why is this the case?
This is the case of p2p local exchange site which I believe you referring to cause they particularly offer peer to peer exchange service which the price of BTC on such exchange site is determined by the seller actual price not the price of BTC in the market..
You try should to use exchange like bigone or bibox if youre offers from Asia.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: September 21, 2020, 11:14:02 PM
A wise man once said:

"If you can't lick it, you don't own it."

Wise man lived for sure a long time ago. It is impossible to lick any BTC and I am sure you will like to have one, even 1 GOLD token would be a nice surprise  Wink.

Now without jokes, I keep thinking about Uniswap and to open a pool there for the GOLD token?

Maybe Digital Gold team could do it as a big holder of GOLD tokens?

It is only an idea and I want to discuss it, I don't know if this is even possible (legally?), but I can see obvious reasons to do it.

There is a big profit potential if you are sitting on large amounts of tokens and could provide liquidity to Uniswap.

Not only it could benefit the GOLD token from obvious reasons but also bring an additional source of income for the Digital Gold team.

As I said it is only a simple idea and would be great to talk about it. Is it possible, are there no legal issues, would be profitable and could bring benefits for the GOLD token and the team?

Dear wwzsocki,

It is always good to implement new features to the platform. Uniswap is a great exchange service, but we have our own service for that. You know that such services works on the fees they take from the users. We can provide the same service on our own platform for BTC and ETH. If you want to buy and store gold it is better way to use our marketplace.

Regards,
Support Team @ Digital Gold
https://gold.storage
Absolutely. I want to call the team attention to the information they provided on CMC in the "About Digital Gold". Why not include the token (Gold storage) is also available for instant buy/trade on the project marketplace with the link cause most people that know the project through CMC won't be aware of this ease process.
720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Number of Bitcoin ATMs Hit 9,680 in September on: September 21, 2020, 08:55:24 PM
Have once thought of joining the Bitcoin ATM business but when I calculated the expense of software license and the monthly updates fee etc is a no go area for me. Despite all the things i mentioned, the fees and the pandemic situations it wonderful to see the huge increase in the number of Bitcoin ATMs.
