701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: yobit.net Scam or not ? on: November 15, 2017, 10:46:32 AM
Dear Friends.,

I recently checked this site and its offering freecoins. though its very small fraction but still they r free and all u have to do is to click on them and thats it..

But while using this site, the page takes alot of time to load which is not normal and also i want to know if anyone has withdraw funds after collecting all those bounties. i mean i don't want to waste my time there if one can't withdraw its amount

So i need to know if any of u guys have used it before and if yes, is it a scam or not ?
I am using yobit.net and it is a good exchange. I have tried withdrawing from that certain exchange and it is working fine. Although that is the case, don't bother collecting those free coins since they aren't that profitable. Most that can be get there for free are coins worth 1 satoshi with huge buy wall making it worthless. There are some sellable ones, you are free to gather them as you like because you can sell and withdraw them as well that is if you can exchange them to btc.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex.com SCAM 100% on: November 15, 2017, 09:32:48 AM
This subject is very ridiculous, do you know the 24Hr volume of Bittrex, to scam you of 2.2BTC is very ridiculous, you should use a better subject next time, something like, "Stupid me, lost my 2.2BTC on Bittrex"
It is very ridiculous I think like you that bittrex won't scam people for just 2.2 BTC. If they were to do it, then it should be worldwide and all accounts will experience it simultaneously not just you OP. Maybe OP lost his coins because of lack of 2FA and vulnerable password on account. It is strange though that there aren't any history of withdrawal on his account. I am not familiar with trollbox functions of bitttex but my guess is that the one who accessed it transferred his balance internally via tip. Many exchanges have this feature.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have 15 BTC worth of ALT coins, what would you do ? on: November 15, 2017, 08:06:18 AM
LSK is going crazy  up another 5% since I posted this thread an hour ago.  I'm up 64% now......  Just so happened to be by number one pick and what I have the most in too.  Grin

You are lucky then OP, I suggest you o just hodl those coins that decreased and sell it above your buy price if you can. Sell other coins that gained more than 100% from your buy price then try to invest more on waves. I know you will gain massive profits with it after waves-ng update has been released. You can also continue to do your strategy, IMO it is fine as is. Still, good luck to you, I hope you gain more from your current picks.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin CASH will take over BTC ? on: November 14, 2017, 09:53:11 PM
Do you see a pump and dump happening in BCH right now? or is it really taking over Bitcoin? How do you think will it affect other coins when BCH successfully replaced BTC as the top cryptocurrency
I see manipulation happening in BCH and because of it, Bitcoin Cash would not be taking over bitcoin. Also, I see that the current spam attack on block chain somehow is related with it. If ever it would, I think it would not affect other coins that much but it is a waste of time thinking about it because the chance of it happening is very low. I think that ETH is better than BCH even if it had surpassed it in price. At least ETH admin does not try to manipulate bitcoin to hype their coin.
705  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's make Bitcoin's Price Higher on: November 14, 2017, 12:27:14 PM
The thing we can do to keep the bitcoin price going up is by continuing to buy bitcoin, if all users continue to buy bitcoin then it is certain that it will continue to rise, do not be tempted to sell at this time because we will get a better price.
It is impossible to unite network in doing the same thing. Always remember that continuing to buy bitcoin without selling it to take profit during big pumps is not a good move. Although we might see a better price to sell, it is better to sell every now and then, we will surely find another good entry point since bitcoin is not always going up. Sometimes it goes bearish and at those times, rebuying is recommended but only buy using the fiat you gained from selling when price is high. Although this would be hard to pull off, always remember that successful traders take risk to sell when price is high and takes risk to buy when market is going bearish.
706  Economy / Economics / Re: About world crisis and criptocurrency on: November 14, 2017, 11:05:51 AM
Hello

what will happened with cripto currency if it was world crisis?
wha do yu think?
If a world crisis were to happen, I am sure some percentage of the population of the world would resort to converting their wealth to cryptocurrency but most would go to what they believe is safe haven, which is gold and other precious metals. They would not even dare to take refuge of their wealth on btc and other crypto because they don't trust it yet. Probably if a crisis happened in the future, people might consider moving into btc if there are more crypto users by that time.
707  Economy / Economics / Re: Will there ever be a Bitcoin Bank on: November 14, 2017, 09:31:59 AM
Does anyone on here think that there is ever going to be Bitcoin Bank, be it something which is centralized or something which isn't really doesn't matter. But I'd think of this as a company, or a union (like one of those credit union banks) where loans would be given out to people with trust, money is held, and so on and so forth.

I know many think that they can escape banks, but they are insanely helpful and trustworthy for many everyday people who we'd want to join into the BTC community.
I am sure that at some point a site will offer a service similar to banks that would be crypto bank but I think it won't be used that much unlike how people use banks in fiat everyday. The main reason for the downfall of any business similar to a bank is that people used bitcoin mainly for decentralization and having bitcoin bank will remove that decentralization that everyone loved in btc. Because of this, I think btc banks would not last because people would rather use fiat money banks.
708  Economy / Economics / Re: Obligatory: Is Bitcoin Cash A Bubble? on: November 13, 2017, 10:15:48 PM
Is bch a bubble?

If bch is a bubble, has that bubble popped?

For reference, it was not long ago that ethereum was considered a good investment with a massive spike eerily similar to what bch is indicating now.

Do the people behind bch and eth seem like individuals whose goal is to create long term value and wealth. Or do they seem more like the types to focus on short term gains to the expense of long term value? I think Satoshi was a creator of longer term value, which is why bitcoin has done as well as it has. As for Roger Ver and whoever is running ethereum now, I would be interested to know what public opinion on them is.   Huh

On a more technical side, should bitcoin cash be worth 1/4th of what it is given it has very limited utility. It isn't supported by retailers. It doesn't many have uses or real world application. There's not much good about bitcoin cash to favor it. There is a chance that bitcoin cash's real world value is $400. Whatever value it appears to have may be an illusion.
I am sure that bitcoin cash itself is a bubble and it has popped for now I think and will stabilize to a certain price. IMO, bitcoin cash shows some potential to grow again after it has reached another floor price in this current time. Since it is a bitcoin fork, somehow it would have a real world use in the future after all, it's intended functions are not that different from bitcoin, they have just added some feature to it. Soon there will be merchants that will accept it.
709  Economy / Economics / Re: Massive bitcoin manipulation possible? on: November 13, 2017, 12:31:08 PM
Would it be possible for a group of extremely rich billionaires & other powerful individuals to manipulate the bitcoin market? e.g. Pump and dump, exposure to news networks, lobbying for favourable bitcoin regulation, etc Huh
It is very possible and one great proof of that is what happened in the market in the past few days. In fact, Jihan Wu and others who participated cannot be considered extremely rich yet, but they have successfully manipulated btc even for a bit. What would happen when those elites move to pump and dump btc? I am sure price would be manipulated for a period of time after this happen and it will last for a long time.
710  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin ever be safe for any investment ? on: November 13, 2017, 11:32:23 AM
Due to that fact that governments dont support BTC make me feel the real dangerous situation. We cant predic how it will act in uture. But I've done my investments!!SO I hope I will also get very rich=))
Good luck then, just remember to trust bitcoin and hold it, then sell when you got a hefty sum of profit already and rebuy at dips. Even if governments does not support btc itself, they would soon and the greatest proof of that is bitcoin's legalization in Japan and other countries that made it legal. IMO now is the early stage of adoption rate increase and it ain't to late to get rich with bitcoin now. We can't predict what price will it have in the future but one thing is certain, bitcoin still got potential in it and is the virtual gold.
711  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin comeback? on: November 13, 2017, 10:39:07 AM
Do you think the bitcoin price will come back?
I think bitcoin price will come back to it's former price, in fact I believe that it will hit another all time high or two before the end of this year. I think many there will be more action I'm the crypto market at we approach the end of the year especially now that some will have a 13th month pay they will probably invest some of it on cryptocurrency. I also expect that there will be more actions on altcoins before this year ends too. One or two alts might pump X2 or more depending on what will happen in the next few weeks.
712  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy bitcoin cash on: November 12, 2017, 09:44:36 PM
I am thinking of selling 0.2 of my bitcoin so I can purchase 1 Bitcoin Cash and then I will hold 1 Bitcoin and 1 Bitcoin Cash

Good or Bad Idea ??
I think it is a good idea to purchase bitcoin cash at least for now. It aint a bad idea after all, the potential of gaining profit is still there, I think they would continue their pump and dump scheme for several days before giving it up. Just hold your 1 bitcoin and 1 bitcoin cash if you already have some, wait for one to dominate then sell the one who lost the fight for dominance. In this case though my bet is btc but bitcoin cash would still pump IMO before it dumps.
713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price fall down to 6094 US dollars accordingly to CoinDesk Chart on: November 12, 2017, 11:22:23 AM
Bros, Bitcoin price is started falling more than 1000 USD in the two days.

Why we see this much without any reasons to face big dump.
Please explain the true fact of this price dump to understand it clearly.
For now I think btc is on it's way back to it's former price and I think we have seen a big dump recently because of yet another spam attacks happening right now slowing transactions down. As you can see on blockchain.info statistics, there are 162,000+ unconfirmed transactions atm and is still counting that is done in order ot manipulate price and then pump bch. Let's wait for bch to go down, after that I am sure that bitcoin price would go back and start it's bullish trend again.
714  Economy / Speculation / Re: effect of BCH in BTC price on: November 12, 2017, 07:08:32 AM
1) Do you think Roger Ver  with his support to BCH will Kick bitcoin price and replace it with BCH or bitcoin will survive ?

2) Do you think this crash normal (7,800$ to 6,200$) or intended Huh
I think BCH would not replace btc even if it has Roger Ver's support therefore bitcoin will survive. He is just pumping it though for his own benefit and soon he will stop and may abandon BCH, then go back into holding btc. This aint the worst crash i have ever seen, in fact the crash on 2013 is way more worse and I think this level of dip is normal considering that the price has been sitting on 7000$+ for a period of time now. For now btc is just gaining momentum before reaching new milestones.
715  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin price continues dip on: November 12, 2017, 04:13:58 AM
bitcoin continues to downward trends dips 6,600usd
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-price-continues-downward-trend-dips-6600/

according to the news from 7,500usd dip down into 6,500usd after 30 days uprising, what is your analysis for bitcoin today do you think guys its continue to drop down the price value or rising again in a few days.
Bitcoin will surely rise a few days from now, they cannot keep manipulating prices forever. For now it will continue to drop but the question is that will it stop today? Probably not because spam attacks on blockchain are still continuing. They cant do it forever though because fees are high. Probably they will stop it soon and transaction numbers will go back to normal tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 134k unconfirmed transactions now. I'm starting to get really worried about this on: November 11, 2017, 10:51:49 PM
but couldnt those 134k unconfirmed transactions tank the BTC market in the coming day as the transactions become confirmed?  or am I being silly?  (honest question since i don't understand it)
It can tank the btc market if they are transactions headig to exchanges. Also, those spams causes uncertainty as you can see so even if they are unconfirmed, it will surely dump price a little, I am sure that there are some who will sell their btc now because of those unconfirmed transactions causing uncertainty. You are not being silly for asking this questions OP as this kind of events does not happen often. It should take more than 50hrs IMO to get all those transactions confirmed.
717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do I have Bitcoin Cash? on: November 11, 2017, 09:54:16 AM
I hope I've posted this to the correct section, couldn't find a forum that matched.

I think I have Bitcoin Cash somewhere and am trying to get hold of it. I held 1 Bitcoin before the August fork. I have since sold the bitcoin (after spending 2 months looking for where I hid my recovery phrase) so have zero balance. I have been using BreadWallet. I believe if I use the BitCoin wallet my Bitcoin Cash should show up, is that correct? The thing is I can't import my wallet into Bitcoin wallet at it doesn't like my recovery phrase from BreadWallet.

Am I going about things completely wrongly?

Thanks!
You should be able to import your bitcoin wallet private key on a bitcoin cash wallet unless the recovery phrase you are referring to is not your private key. I am not familiar with the wallet you use so I can't really answer accurately. Is it a wallet that allows users to access their private key? If it is then you should have 1 bitcoin cash if you haven't sold it before august 1 even if you have 0 balance in btc now. If not then you won't have bcc even if you held 1 btc before fork if breadwalleet didn't support bcc.
718  Economy / Speculation / Re: Once Bitcoin becomes mainstream... on: November 11, 2017, 08:37:44 AM
It's currently estimated about 3 million people own some amount of Bitcoin.

That's about 0.3% of the population of Europe and North America.

If Bitcoin becomes mainstream, and say 50% of people in Europe and NA own Bitcoin, how much would it be worth?
The only certain thing is that it would be worth much more when it becomes mainstream. It can also be easily spent everywhere, even on groceries. It would also be taxed by that time and tax evasion using bitcoin would be illegal when that time comes. Probably when it becomes mainstream, being a bitcoin miner would be recognized as an official profession. There might even be courses that can be taken by college students related to bitcoin mining itself.
719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying Bitcoin Based Alone on Speculation? on: November 10, 2017, 12:48:05 PM
nope,
the first time i bought this Bitcoin i always thought it would be big in the future.
why ?
it's very simple because you can buy/pay/send your money across the world in a second.
honestly speaking whenever i tried to buy something oversea,i always had a problem to pay it.
because most of them did not use Paypal or something like that, while i only can use it to pay it.
when i heard about Bitcoin,i believe if it'll be successfull in the future because i believe it's not only me had a problem like that.
other than that we can safely store our money without authorities behind it.
Then you were speculating too because you have thought that bitcoin is going big in the future when you bought it, technically thinking like that is the same as speculating. I agree on the latter parts or your statement though and that is the main selling point of bitcoin as well as crypto. I am pro bitcoin but I think that many of bitcoin users today have bought with the intent to speculate, and to be honest I am one of those who bought bitcoin in the past thinking it will be big in the future, and because of this I think OP is right for now.
720  Economy / Speculation / Re: Greed = Bearish, Long-Term-Investment = Bullish [Segwit2x cancellation] on: November 10, 2017, 11:28:13 AM
The cancellation of Segwit2x may be a crossroads for Bitcoin's price: It could fall or continue to rise.

Why could it fall now? Because people may have invested in Bitcoin recently because they greedily wanted to grab "free money" from the Segwit2x fork. The fork won't happen (or would be very weak) and thus these people would sell. This would mean that Bitcoin is heading into a bear market.

Why could it rise now? Because people that haven't invested in Bitcoin in the past months fearing the uncertainty around the Segwit2x fork (e.g. because of the danger of a "stuck" blockchain), now feel safe to do an long-term investment. They buy. This would mean that the bull market will continue - to da moon Wink.

I'm still undecided which of the two theories is true. What do you think? Or are both of my reasonings wrong?
I believe both of your reasonings are right. In fact, the former is happening slowly right now. Bitcoin has been slowly going sideways in the past few days, it is just logical to think now that those who bought bitcoin for the sake of free money on segwit2x are unloading. Still, the drop wont be that big, they will probably not unload a lot of bitcoin. After this the latter might happen because uncertainty will be lessened right after they finished unloading some on their stash.
