701  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: are the feds buying bitcoins? on: April 01, 2013, 09:34:25 PM
Feds cannot just buy an uncertain thing. It is public money and its spending is regulated, I belive.
If bitcoin fails for some reason who will be responsible for buying them ?!
Such action could trigger a death sentence in money oriented country like United States of Dollarica ;]

im sorry but im talking about the federal reserve. the ones who print the money. the government buys there printed money. they are no more federal government than fedex. they do not answer to anybody. they are absolutly not at all the government or elected people. please educate yourself on this.

703  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is about to be featured on CNBC Closing Bell on: April 01, 2013, 09:29:33 PM
I'm really trying to get caught up with this. I already downloaded a wallet. It took like a whole 24 hours. Now I don't know what to do next, and this forum is so big it's overwehlming what is the next action I need to take.

Ok, now read about the technology. Read about the risks, the volatility. Go to bitcoincharts.com and see the historical price.
Learn about the exchanges, make sure you use double factor authentication.
DON'T TRUST ANYONE AND BUY ONLY FROM PEOPLE YOU KNOW!!! Or people that has been vouched for in the forums. BEWARE OF SCAMMERS!!
You do not want to have a bad experience when you're first starting to get your feet wet.
Bitcoin is awesome if you learn about it and learn how to use them properly.
Have fun and welcome to the forum.
YES DO WHAT HE SAID but why buy from some random person he needs to get on an exchange or he could just go to "BITINSTANT"
1) learn
2)wallet
3)bitstamp account
4)bitinstant
5)buy bitcoins with funds oin bitstamp
6) now you have no money but pretend money that is going up. Wink
7) dont sell. untill it gets to 1,000.00

705  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why hasn't the porn industry jumped on bitcoin yet? on: April 01, 2013, 09:23:31 PM
I'll take a stab at this: Porn is free. The people who pay for it aren't the types to be using Bitcoin, imo.

like he said up there , even a noob can find free porn. good free porn. the type of people who pay for it are idiots, these idiots dont know about free porn let alone a complicated currency. they probably dont even own a computer. listen befor you type
706  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: are the feds buying bitcoins? on: April 01, 2013, 08:10:55 PM
hey, at least we can all go and buy some tin foil to make hats out of with the profit we've made in the last month :-)

yes some profits, but this topic should be taken seriously, this little idea of bitcoins is not so little any more and the ones in control of the money...actually physically making the money and charging intrest for using this money are not just going to sit back and do nothing. these people dont work, they let there money make them more money.  these people think its funny that we work three months out of the year for free. but now with a monetary system that cannot be tracked then there are no taxes or no need to print more money or at lest less of it and less intrest paind back to them. so you may joke about tinfoil hats but we need to keep an open mind about what could what is and what may allready be happening.

untill you have bought somthing and own it or transfered your coins into actual cash you realy truly have nothing but the possibility of that welth. it could go to ten buck tomorrow or less and all that money you spent on tinfoil makes you look kinda dumb.

dont count your chickens untill they hatch. dont count your chips while at the poker table. etc etc etc.

708  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin vs Litecoin [Winner Prediction] on: April 01, 2013, 07:00:48 PM
Who's to say that neither will survive longterm, and these are just the precursors to another cryptocurrency?  Digital currency is still in its infancy, I would not be surprised to see other players pop up before/after BTC and LTC.

no doubt one that maybe the government will make? maybe they will start it low and start pumping billions into, one that they say is anonymous and one that they have no control over but indeed they do? just a thought

711  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it even worth trying to get mining this late in the game? on: April 01, 2013, 05:22:26 AM
You'd just burn electricity and your laptops out.

You could try Litecoin, but Bitcoin is definitely out.

ya figured, thanks
712  Other / Beginners & Help / is it even worth trying to get mining this late in the game? on: April 01, 2013, 05:18:29 AM
I have two not so great laptops, would i even make a coin off a month of mining?
713  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why do you think exchange has been so flat??? on: April 01, 2013, 05:15:28 AM
I agree with all of the above mentioned, and the valid point that if its flat and a holliday then are most whales the 9-5 financial types,

seams if the average person had a little extra time on the weekend to buy a few coins than it would not be flat, this almost proves that the movers are the 9-5 types. but easter is not recognized by the whole world, a Christian (originally pagan) holiday
714  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduce yourself :) on: April 01, 2013, 01:13:46 AM
Oi folks! Have a nice Easter.

indeed! thanks and hello and welcome all.

happy easter to all:)

716  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why do you think exchange has been so flat??? on: April 01, 2013, 01:07:19 AM
Easter coupled with the banking holidays in North America + the weekend...

I ain't too surprised but again I had a prediction that the next flat line would be at the 100$ or so mark. I hope it breaks on Tuesday Smiley

I personally think a nice flat line is good to breathe a bit. These days have been very exciting!

for sure, i think it will straingthen the bottom and help it not dip to low, then again if it does ill just buy.

I was thinking of selling around the new high 99ish and let is slide to mid eightys like you said, then buy and hold till mid 120s where we will see another dip to 100ish.

lets see what happens:)
717  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why do you think exchange has been so flat??? on: April 01, 2013, 01:03:59 AM

718  Other / Beginners & Help / why do you think exchange has been so flat??? on: March 31, 2013, 09:17:02 PM
just want a general consensus about why the exchanges are so flat the last couple days.  Undecided
719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how Bitstamp gave me bad service! on: March 31, 2013, 09:14:35 PM
Exchanges, like all websites, cannot operate perfectly 100% of the time.  Sometimes, @#$# happens.

Bitstamp has provided me with nothing but great service.

yes in normal times yes it does, when you can make money or want to use the site for what its there for ( they do make money off this.... its not like its a free service) they are not available?Huh

when I get a bill for a service like my power bill and i dont pay it ill just say sorry shit happens. haha please
