701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CELL] SolarFarm asset | Photovoltaic power station in Thailand 18MW on: January 21, 2015, 04:29:54 PM
Great idea that could work great in areas that don't have the intense regulatory environment that rules established power grids.  Arkansas law recently changed to allow co-oping offsite power offsets to grid power costs for those who want to invest in renewable energy without the "farming" costs.
702  Economy / Goods / Re: Canadian Adult Pair of Mammoth Tusks on: January 21, 2015, 04:24:45 PM
I've been here a long time and this is probably the most fascinating thing I have seen available for sale for bitcoin!

It would have been sold a long time ago if the OP asked for a more realistic price. The price of mammoth tusks arent nearly as much as what he is asking for. Even for ones that are this big.

Hmm I'm no expert on mammoth tusk prices.  Cheesy How much do you think they should be?

Valuation approaches to the mammoth tusks can be assessed in a myriad of ways.

For the closest present day comparable approach, considering to legally go hunt Bull Elephants in Africa you first have to pay for a license apx. $20,000 USD.  Then add travel expenses, guides,  taxidermy costs, etc. The only aspect counter weighing all that is the time costs of the individual whom can afford to do this is quite high, so tack on an additional demand variable in a range of $50,000 - $500,000 USD..  So unless the actual adventure experience value remains higher than the grand total here, you should expect this trophy to fetch anywhere from $35,000- $650,000.00 USD.

From a intrinsic science valuation approach I have no training or expertise.

Finally from an Income Approach, one would expect this to be secured as part of a much larger package deal, allowing the buyer to generate fee income from patrons of however a particular commercial establishment capitalises on the public draw this particular piece adds to said collection.

Just my 2 bits..
If it was me selling it, then an adventure aspect would be included in the asking price, making the piece much more about a life experience than just an object.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] - 'paracoin' - paracoin.org on: January 21, 2015, 02:17:17 PM
The idea of paracoin to me is interesting in the physical performance gap that buyers/sellers must risk in light of the many variables at play in a international business environment.

Having some sort of order of justice to backstrap delivery or performance of smart contracts, in which risks excluding systemic ones, are as various including, misinterpretation , quality control, and corruption/fraud.

How or what this will entail depends on the legal culture gaps of international law etc.  Although in summary a polite democratic capitalisation of indemnification vehicles in the physical world versus the virtual one.

IMHO

Is there any more linking to Bitcoins than them "liking" the idea because they know some Viennese Bitocoiners and printing the logo on the barrel?

711  Economy / Services / Re: Buy Domestic and International Real Estate for Bitcoin on: September 01, 2014, 01:28:13 PM
Well it's a good time to do this, since a lot of real estate deals, would be done soon in BTC

The sale of that real estate worth $ 1 600 000 in BTC would put a lot of spotlight on this currency.

People just need, someone to guide them through the laws.

Thank you for your kind words.  The legal team we have is top notch in asset preservation and constitutional rights including privacy etc.  We also feel that BTC is going to become a game changer for the Real Estate Markets as we know it and are confidently interested in a DEV or 2 who are able to implement mutual vision to make the worlds RE that much closer to this new reality.

As I have several irons in the fire ATM please PM to schedule a time to discuss joining our project.

Sincerely

VLB

From a Reddit post http://www.reddit.com/r/Spokane/comments/2d373p/im_looking_to_buy_propertyhouse_in_the_spokane/

I live and work in Spokane, I'd just like to get some property now instead of renting, but I only have magic internet money.
The process of converting this to cash will be a lot of hassle and probably take many months, as I don't want to end up on a watchlist e.g. lots of money spawning in bank account over months (and all the fees that go with it) when I live relatively frugal, aside from a few expensive toys.
Anyone know of anyone who would sell property for Bitcoin?

All 7 billion people in this world have the right to provide security with their value.  Inalienable right that human across the world share in a good respecting peoples
715  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can all Government Functions be Replaced by Peer to Peer? on: August 09, 2014, 01:43:51 AM
I think that we should have self regulated society, where most things is decided by the free market and maybe government with very little functions like public health, foreign policy, monetary policy, army etc.
I can see a regulations market from government in the capacity of insurance.. I'm not worried about any of that
716  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can all Government Functions be Replaced by Peer to Peer? on: August 09, 2014, 01:37:39 AM
How the military could be replaced by p2p?

Military are a construct of governments. What do we need defense against? You would likely pay a company within a certain jurisdiction, to guarantee, within reason your safety, a little classier than mercenaries and likely more efficient than a bloated standing army.

I boggles my mind to think of the amazing ways the free market could replace the role of government.
On the topic of private militaries; Private Military Corporations? What about those that already exist, like G2S or Blackwater? What would happen to them?

But I agree 100%, the free market would be able to replace a lot of government roles.
I've played with private contractors.  They drop ya w 2 shots and don't ask pls.. im not sure I can pay them the amount of money they need.  If you like killing people u should meet them.

Against other governments that think disagree about their minimal role and the military is a waste of money?

Can't see p2p and private armies winning against a centralized governmental army.

You can't see it?  Ask the good people who don't have it!
718  Other / Politics & Society / Can all Government Functions be Replaced by Peer to Peer? on: August 08, 2014, 02:56:26 PM
Speaking of federal or the consolidation of international governments. As they become more about money, guns, & shit it is more apparent to me that we must get them out of power!

Government these days is only good at about 3 things. Amassing Money for itself and the partners in Crime which Empower it, Raising and Perfecting a death machine unparalleled in the history of man kind, and deciding who is right and wrong in a system of laws which increasingly is perverted by the first function.

Resistance is futile yet we can now get them out of all the business we make.. Accept Peer to Peer Commodity Backed Coins Only. "Every Dollar becomes a Petrodollar" Asking for a coffee bean? coffeecoin! etc.

No resales for USD!

Am I Wrong?
