741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency [CPU/GPU(NVIDIA+AMD)] on: June 29, 2014, 05:31:47 PM
Hi guys, need to test my XMR wallet. Please send some to:

49Tk6cTxcLw3wDh1wC1XamYHgZvWHaCXyjBe2NDHZgxhdUubYcVsroTZEgF4HMgdWbVKbNzcnH5PHPV XFjGANDB3T98KurA

I install the wallet and miner and the computers that was on were hit with a reboot.  How do I open up the wallet to check what XMR if any has been deposited by my i5 mining the last few days?
742  Economy / Speculation / Re: The next bubble is Wall St. on: June 29, 2014, 05:30:25 PM
Well for me, it appears this weekend and the last week’s prices are clearly linked to the SR coins,
that in itself is clear evidence the market is not run by Chinese FUD but the important movements are now from the US.
The only movement from the Chinese will be how much they buy rather than what they sell.
So, could be some big movements when the auction prices are revealed, interesting times, Wall Street will show their hand soon if they are going to.

Chinese adopters are the same as American Libertarians.  I hate to see their hopes dashed as policy and regulation completely smothers the love they feel for Bitcoin.  It the case of Altcoins I feel it is much less clear cut and there will be some extreme opportunities there.  I wonder if it will be posted here though..
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Theoretical]The Short-Circuit 51% attack vulnerability in non Sha256 altcoins. on: June 29, 2014, 03:17:10 AM
This is a outrageous claim without something more than some theoretical development in the way the underlining math works.  Celebrate the "discovery" of this idea when you have successfully broken a few shitcoins.

Commented for posterity.. I will not be buzzed tomorrow!

Get over it.  BTC money laundering is a stiff bunch of stupid shit.  Combined with a Max trash talking idiot and you have a recipe for disaster.  There is alot of pointless flooding happening all over the earth.  Use the alternatives and don't talk out of your ass.

This post made no sense. It was written in English, but seems to be straight off a bad online translator service.

Type coherently please.

Its called crypto currency for a reason man.. Follow the stories and understand the references.  If not, feel free to PM me.

Can you honestly read the whitepapers or use some features of alts that have new and completely improved things that bitcoin willl as far as I can tell never have and tell me bitcoin is the only one.
Many alts provide some app or app platform.  Some of those are innovative in some way.  In most cases, using them as a currency is bogus, and pitching them as a currency in order to get people to fund your p2p blockchain project is a scam.  I am not saying all, just most.  Prove to me that your favorite is not a scam, please.  But not in this thread.  There's an altcoin observer thread too:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=624223

I don't play favorites.  It there is a clear lead then I am the first to look at that and call it for what it is.  Bitcoin is in a time that it seems many have a sense of urgency for Wall Street or some other extraordinary change.  I don't think bitcoin can effectively capture that lead in the current course it has headed for.  The glass floor of Wall Street and the federal reverse monopoly on money is enough for me not to think a repeat of a new global digital reserve status is good for the movement.

[...] Monero is most fundamental coin to the day. Not only it is strictly anonymous, it has double-spend proof even in case 51% attack. [...]

That's new to me. Is this true? How is that supposed to work?

Yes - link to support this claim is now necessary, otherwise, it's pure FUD.

FUD mentioned. waiting for it.

Volume is completely quiet.. Pitch me a new business, trading is boring in the bitcoin.  Altcoins get it done..

Being here taught me one important thing - never underestimate bitcoin Smiley

I've always been all bitcoin.. never into any alt coins although a friend did pitch a pretty convincing argument for cloakcoin. I may take a chance... a very small one.

Speed Reading Monster..  Cloak stake ranked small..

752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - HardFork Major UPDATE 1.0.11 - New Mac Wallet TEST on: June 29, 2014, 01:39:41 AM
hey I've just updated new version of the beta of my client, it's almost done, respect last one i fixed some issue and added some stuff

how you can see here, I've implemented the chat, not just as readonly as before, but now you can type a message over your hunters list in "My Troops" window and when you'll move some of your hunter, that text will be send on behalf of that player
you can even send just a message without planning other actions on hunters of that player of course

Other thing added is the previous feature i wrote about (context menu to open a dialog that show who share the same reward address of a selected hunter)

Next thing, i fixed the displayed block time needed to reach a point, in the hunters list of your troops, but then i went beyond and implemented the same feature over the targeted hunters in "Target" window, you can see that in the pic (the number between brackets) next to the "moving icon"

another tool in this toolbelt Wink

you can download the beta at the same previous address: http://www.mithrilman.com/files/HuntercoinMithrilEdition_beta.zip
Awesome this is looking very War ready!
tomorrow i could release officially this new version, update website, etc...
then I'd need some help from community to write something about how to use properly the client, common tecniques etc... because we need new players to come to play this cool game, disaster time is coming, few days to the disaster block!

P.S.
thanks to people who tested the client and reported things so far!

Man you know this coin has got to be good.  Just read the whitepaper!  Then read through the entire thread.  Much more educated than many on Bitcointalk..

756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.7 Available on: June 29, 2014, 01:32:57 AM
I want inflation free doge back.. That was cra cra..  I'm looking at you devs

Perhaps the perpetual inflation was implemented so the coin would be unnatractive to speculators who aren't involved with the community, and thus allowing the coin to have a more stable value dependent solely on its userbase?

The early adopters wanted to believe.. It was Crazy and funny but man..  I wanted to believe
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] (WC) | WhiteCoin | BIG NEWS: Foundation, investors & more ☯ whitecoin.info on: June 29, 2014, 01:31:12 AM
I think many of us are concerned about how it will be launching WitheOutCoin do.
Any form of release that does not prioritize the current holders of WhiteCoin will be seen as a scam.

well the main ideas floating around is that there will be an IPO stage of release where you can buy WOC with WC prior to release, this is the main mechanism to prioritize WC holders

Will this type of coin recycle be done completely in WC.. If not I think that needs to be a thing that limits the upward motion of the price of WC.

as far as i understand it will be done completely in WC, there was also talk of trying to get exchanges to have WC as a base coin. creating a market place where you can directly trade WC - WOC and then hopefully have other cryptos directly trade able to WC

I don't want to come off as rude, a troll or a pain in the ass, but based on the timeline presented, this is either been in the works for sometime or it will get launched without thinking through the ramifications to the entire coin and investor base. I will state again, it smells scamming without details that either don't exist or have not been thought through enough to pull this thing off. I have been burned on this coin from the start and this is not sitting very well with me or the folks in my camp. Not sure what your role is with WC, sounds like you are on the sides like the rest of us, getting this information a little at a time and ever changing. Seriously causes me a ton of angst and I would just as soon spin up some additional funds on crypt, cloak or razor now that VRC is doing well.
Would really love to get more behind this coin, but not hearing the right things yet, which sucks.

Slush fund headquarters.  25% moves are sketchy as fuck I'd say.. How about something real for a change
758  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 29, 2014, 01:28:12 AM
Do we know when the first ETF will launch? I think that could be the thing to propel us to alltime highs.

GoPro went public last Thursday and increased >30% in a matter of 2 days. The stock market is still in full bulltard mode; I hope bitcoin can IPO while it lasts..

Things that we are involved in as a culture of capitalist, consumers, and blessed with enlightened offers for investment are not were we are in the bitcoin.  This is just a FAD man, in the US, why say yes to bitcoin, when the reserve status is as it is.
759  Economy / Speculation / Re: The next bubble is Wall St. on: June 29, 2014, 01:23:12 AM
The Mother of All Bubbles will be when retail penetration reaches critical mass.

I am not sure why man.  Please feel free to explain to me but as a typical economic evaluation goes,  The purchasing power is trending up, Transaction costs only has a slight advantage in the international markets, and the aggregate demand curve is not all that.  What policy planning will change any of that in a quantifiable way lol.  Using bitcoin as a medium of exchange is not why the majority of the buys have been made..

Because if businesses ever decide to trade wholesale to retail purchases or business to business purchases in bitcoin, the demand will become 1000x greater than it currently is.  Right now, outside of Overstock, businesses just convert straight into fiat. If they ever hold bitcoin to do commerce between each other, bitcoin will be worth 5-6 figures.
Businesses don't generally trade retail purchases between eachother. However once businesses are able to pay suppliers in bitcoin the demand for bitcoin will dramatically increase.

Ok I understand increasing the loop and how important it is.  Feedback will be much realer when that happens.  I myself am putting alot of effort in Potcoin because I see things there as a new industry that doesn't need to change because its better.  There simply arn't any solid alternatives.  But man I see Bitcoin getting shunned for a while longer because of the way it has been man.

@username, rather than some superlong string of alphanumeric characters.
Landrush anyone? Cybersquatting, now playing in an alias near you.

It's not really a landrush if you have to solo a block, unless you're cbuchner1 you're probably not gonna be soloing a shitload of blocks. And if you want to call it a shit feature, that's up to you, I'm sure you've innovated many new features yourself that are far superior.
Si my name is David Ford. Say there is another David Ford mining BBR. I'm sure you see where I am heading.

we can't all be davidford@gmail.com, but it seems to working out ok for them...

Will David Ford be my Friend.. I only want exclusive friends man haha
