701  Economy / Economics / Re: Tax Authority in Israel wants to Treat Bitcoin as a property!!! on: January 19, 2017, 03:23:34 PM
Undermined bitcoin's usefulness as currencies will undermined its value too. Bitcoin is not even a digital silvers, oil and gold but currencies. http://www.coindesk.com/israel-may-gearing-tax-bitcoin-kind-property/

If this Israel country wants to treat Bitcoin as a property, It can be a sign of good news or false alarm for the bitcoin enthusiast. Good news in a way that there is country like Israel will adopt the system of bitcoin that they will give an ordinance for bitcoiner to their citizens over there. False alarm because it might be in the long run we bitcoin enthusiast will going to have tax deduction in every transaction and that is not good, am I right.

Recognition from a government is constructive steps and in favor of bitcoin. At least Govt is willing accept it as legitimate rather trying to ban the concept altogether. If Govt recognize something as property then obvious purpose is to milk the cow (bitcoin). Anything non-taxable does not go well with establishment any way. With tax one thing become clear that legality of bitcoin gets official in that country. Otherwise it remains in "If it is NOT illegal till now then it is legal" scenario. Instead of this 'It is legal and you have to pay tax for it' is better.
702  Other / Meta / Re: [Controversial] Who's to blame when an account gets hacked? on: January 19, 2017, 03:12:55 PM
If the girl didnt went out that night, or didnt wears skirt? Or to lessen the volume that she take. Would it be possible for her not to get raped? Of course yes, She knew her responsibility as a woman. That would go the same for your responsibility of your account
In the world of permutation combinations there is this possibility:  If the girl didn't went out that night, there is possibility of break-in and attacker/rapist cause the damage.

Proving account is hacked could be difficult? rather proving hack was unintentional is difficult. Once hacked activity is proved then something could be done. Personally didn't like the analogy of rape with hacking. Each person would have different perception. Lender was at fault because he did not verified the account details of person.  If lender is innocent then how verification process was conducted. Tomorrow lender could run a scam and claim you requested for loan.
Imagine same hacking and loan scenario happened with 100s of people. Would you still blame victims or lender or hacker?

It is difficult to find real culprit and person who is responsible for it.  These kind of scenario are too intricate to deal with.
703  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: January 19, 2017, 01:43:37 PM
In the short term it will be probably difficult, on the other hand if you believe in the future of these currencies and it still suggests that all major countries and even all countries term will evolve into purely electronic currencies - so if you believe in this movement, which is still a very logical, you may think that bitcoin is the first really conclusive test. If you have a timingof  five to ten years you can so completely invest on bitcoin.

I think this would be possible. It can be possible, if our local government participate on bitcoin, and make bitcoin legal to use in other kind of transactions. We can use bitcoin in buying of our daily needs. All we had to do is to have a bitcoin wallet. In terms of gold or bitcoin, gold has a high value compared to bitcoin.

At this stage, Gold has best liquidity on this planet. Globally accepted all over the world. It has been in use for centuries/millennia already. Most importantly Governments have it under their control.
Nobody know how governments are going deal with digital currencies especially which are not under their control. In long run Bitcoin may gain wide acceptance and its value may increase in leaps and bounds.
At this stage we have two option where one has proven record and other is has possibility of bright future. Which leads to if investment is concerned then 70% gold and 30% bitcoin(or the amount one could risk)
704  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me a secret: any way to earn 0.1 BTC per week? on: January 19, 2017, 08:23:48 AM
Taking into account the current value of bitcoin (around $900), gaining 0.10 a week ($90) is not so difficult. I think that almost any modest job could generate that income. The problem is that most newcomers look for an easy way to generate that amount without excessive efforts, and that is really a difficult task.

We also need to take into account that bitcoin price or for that matter any market does not grow in linear proportion. Thus if bitcoin is gaining .10 per week for one month now that does not mean it would keep on going that way. If that was the scenario then prices of bitcoin kept on rising from 2014 till now. In 2014 btc was at ~$1000 and within few months it was ~$235 for while. Point here is, let's not consider bitcoin prices linear.

In fiat currency market there are big shot companies who influence whole market as per will, fortunately in bitcoin world till now there are no such big players entered. It would be interesting when that happen.
705  Local / India / Re: Launching the Coinsecure Payment Gateway for Bitcoin in India on: January 19, 2017, 08:07:07 AM
Congratulations for venturing into this payment gateway. This move may be the game changer for bitcoin being used currently in India. Businesses who are bitcoin-literate will be more than happy to user this.
Best wishes for your venture.
706  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: January 19, 2017, 07:22:55 AM
Guys sorry for this question above but I would like to ask here that

What is the difference of Trading to Investing?

though I know that I can search it in google but I want an answer from those people who have already experienced this two.
Thank you.

I hope you can help me in my confusion..

For me, in a way these two are similar to each other. Trading is where we apply the buy low sell high principle and it would be all about the right timing. I guess it's the same way with investing though it's more on business. In trading we deal with altcoins while investing covers a more general and broader aspect of business

Lot of threads running on forum has explained the trading n investment in different way. As far is investments are considered they could be short term or long term. Same applies to the trading as well. One could trade on intra-day basis or one could look for long term selling period.  Purchase at low price and hold till price reach to the expected levels. Even if price does reach in a day. Holding duration could 1 day, week, month. Trading and investment are not explicitly time-bound. In fact if real difference is who is behind the wheel. Who is making the decisions. In trading individual(owner) himself call the shots. In case of investment, decisions are taken by a broker, investment-manager, investment-house. In investments, investors assumes that broker/invest-mgr knows better than him and allows him to invest/gamble.
707  Economy / Economics / Re: The 2.5 million dollar Bitcoin on: January 19, 2017, 05:38:44 AM
There's 5 trillion USD worth of hard fiat currency in circulation.

There's 40 trillion USD worth of liquid fiat currency total (currency + checking accounts)

A 40 trillion market cap for bitcoin would mean that BTC = $2,500,000

This 40 trillion represents the whole market that bitcoin is "competing" in against fiat currency (and alt coins), and doesn't take into account BTC's use as a store of value--gold, for example, has a 4 trillion USD value.  So if fiat currency became worthless, that's the bottom for BTC (bottom because it doesn't include potential market cap hikes from the derivatives market and institutional $ investments that are to come)

Fiat currency management is not simple where calculations happen in linear fashion. Though bitcoin may have good future, there is no chance that it will replace or compete against fiat currency. Forget about fiat currency becoming worthless, it not going to happen, period. Current price level of bitcoin is around ~ $800 to ~ $900. It may take a while for bitcoin to reach $250000 level. Who knows what governments have utilized blockchain to turn table in their own favor.

709  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's Next Direction 2017 Predictions on: January 18, 2017, 02:41:49 PM
Hello,

After successfully predicting BTC moves in 2016 here on the forum, I have a new set of 2017 predictions that I'm using to trade the current move.

1. Rise to $1,200-$1,300 (Current move)
2. Correction to $800-$900 level and range trading for a while
3. Rise to $1,500
4. Correction to $900-$1,000 and range trading for a while
5. Continued rise to $2,000 by end of year

tldr; BTC will double this year after making a couple of moves up and down.

Setting aside that your 2016 predictions weren't that accurate (50% accuracy is a coin flip), you provide nothing to back up your predictions, and currently aren't doing so well one week into 2017. Are you just shooting in the dark or do you have anything to base your predictions on other than whim? Because it seems more likely that we're in another deflating bubble period, as opposed to an environment that can sustain the momentum that ended 2016. This is a repeat of 2013.

I use a combination of technical analysis, fundamentals, and past behavior. I modify my results to account for the pump and dump nature of bitcoin movements. So basically, I increase variance.

What do you mean I'm not doing well one week into 2017? So far, I've traded all moves perfectly. I sold at peak and I am now looking to repurchase once I verify my support levels. Also, the 2016 predictions were extremely accurate from a trading perspective as following them resulted in a generous profit.

We've now dropped to the $800 level I thought would serve as support for range trading. The level was broken through briefly but the speed at which the price returned to above $800 strengthens the support significantly. I will probably begin to buy again if the level holds until Monday.

I don't think BTC is in a bubble phase. I think the bubbles are short lived and over time add long-lasting value.

Both my first and second predictions for this year happened almost exactly

Wow! your scientific approach towards the calculation almost reminded me "The Big short" movie.  It is better to see someone making realistic predictions. Do you really think bitcoin value will reach a million dollars or so by 2020? I checked lot of videos and some known friends wishful-thinkers believe in million dollar mark. It would be nice to things sorted out correctly.
710  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best way to invest/grow your Bitcoins? on: January 18, 2017, 12:43:30 PM
Investing in altcoins will give you good profit and there is very low risk in investing your money to buy cryptocurrencies for trading but be sure that you pick right coin for trading, if you choose wrong one then you will face a big loss and you loose your investment. Stay away from scammers and also from those sites that scam you. Only invest your money in reliable site and to a reliable person, and for that you have to know about altcoins traders and sites.

Investment in altcoins is highly risky, as it is difficult to know which one would pick up. Many has considered altcoins as way of exploiting greedy people. Unfortunately there are not enough reliable ways to grow bitcoins at this moment other than taking part in bounties, siggy campaigns, trade. Most Safe way  is to hold btc for time being their value would increase accordingly.
711  Local / India / Re: Is there any signature campaign on: January 18, 2017, 11:32:14 AM
Normally signature campaign are posted in the Services[0] section of forum. If India specific company is starting any new advertisement then such campaigns will be posted here.
Currently Qtum [1] is running multiple campaigns like signature, posts, fb, etc etc.

In the Services section would come across multiple opportunities apart from siggy campaigns. There are small bounties available

712  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: January 18, 2017, 10:39:22 AM
Well, BTC is growing fast. So, you should buy it now for easy profit Smiley
one of the reasons why you should buy a bitcoin is when prices are low or the upside. it now appears that prices continue to rise after some time ago the price had dropped.

For long term(5 year min)profit in mind, buying bitcoin purchase will not matter if current price is $1000 or less. Appreciation in coming years is expected to be more on very higher side.
For short term(01month to 1 year) then situation is bit tricky. Purchase may yield profit. In Current situation, bitcoin pricing fluctuates on chinese market. And given how Trump deals with China will greatly affect bitcoin market this year or so. Looking at  current development between Trump and china, things looking more chaotic. Just check BBC news and other reputed media sites, there are all kind of speculations.
Unpredictability of Trump has raised question mark, if that may cause panic in chinese market then bitcoin price will surge heavily in unprecedented manner for sure. Same has been observed last year as well.

So buy few bitcoins or satoshi and watch to show.
713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Paxful on: January 18, 2017, 10:04:56 AM
Can you actually make a good living trading for btc? What is a good amount of btc to have to trade on paxful? I always buy and think to myself that it must be nice to sit back, make a trade, and make 17%

There are lot of good threads in the forum which discuss this kind of question like making money with trading on exchanges. People have surely shared really interesting suggestions. If you go through those threads you will get answer to your query. Though nothing specific about paxful though you could relate advice for it.

Earning enough money from the trading itself is possible. Though to get trading correct is experience oriented, time-consuming and requires acute understanding of market working. Last but not least you also need the bit of luck to make right decision as bitcoin market is Open and decentralized one. Study the bitcoin markets like chinese markets which influences bitcoin price significantly.

As you see trading bitcoin to get great easy money is not that easy (unless you have great luck with you then you could make it big.)
714  Local / India / Re: Please stop buying bitcoins from India on: January 18, 2017, 09:07:35 AM
This seems like a really interesting way to go about the current prices but as a user earlier pointed, Demand > Supply so people who urgently want BTC will obviously won't mind paying more than preev rates and end up giving more $ to the seller.
There is lot of Ignorance about other options available for purchasing bitcoin. One could buy from bitcoin exchanges as well (though very few are offering prices compatible with preev price).  Purchasing bitcoins from internation market is bit difficult. There was a thread in forum where a veteran member shared a cheaper way to purchase bitcoins from international market. Problem was the restrict verifications or rules followed by that company. I'm not able to find it readily now.

If anyone knows how to purchase the bitcoins from international market without much hassle then it would make much difference. For some going through procedure hassle is secondary if rates are at preeve level.
715  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How to calculate/verify daily bitcoins mined by particular mining company? on: January 18, 2017, 07:27:02 AM
Thank you BrewMaster for explanation. I checked the each block and noticed that reward for each block is 12.5 thus if someone is mining in private pool and found 10 blocks then for that day total return would be 125 bitcoins + 0.69552371 * 10) = 131.9552371 per day

If in owner of private pool allows other miners to mine then how much pool owner earn?

the reward halves approximately every 4 years (every 210,000 blocks) already happened twice from 50 to 25 and as you see today to 12.5BTC

the fee amount is not fixed in all blocks, you have to find them one by one (0.69552371 is only for one of the blocks) they are usually about 0.5 to 1.5
so it would be 10 * 12.5 + (fee of 1st block + fee of 2nd block + .... fee of 10th block)

i have never mined so i am not sure about this but how much each individual miners earns when connected to a pool depends on how much share they get based on their hashrate and how much fees the pool is going to take and how they share the earnings.
and the earning of the pool owner is from those fees AFAIK.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_mining_pools

Thanks again BrewMaster.  Wiki link was helpful. Looks like I need more related reading from the wiki.
716  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth it waiting before investing? on: January 18, 2017, 07:22:22 AM
So I'm a complete newbie at this new business of Bitcoin and other coins... And since I don't know shit about mining, I decided to take it easy first... I started playing Pocket Dice, and transfered to my wallet 0.00045 BTC... So I kinda made money without rly investing...
Now I discovered this Fast Mining which gives you 20GHs for free, and its kinda going... So, should I wait for it to raise enough to invest more, or start investing real cash? And where?

First decide how much time you'll allow for profit making with bitcoin. Check the market, try to understand ups and downs of market.
Recent bitcoin market is again looking bullish. Last week prices were slumped. It is better purchase few bitcoins/satoshi as per convenience. Investing or trading is bit time consuming. For trading you will have to understand how trading works and do some trading. Improve yourself with each trade. For Investing finding and verifying a real deal is real time-consumer.

718  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: January 17, 2017, 03:30:23 PM
Yes, it does. We should sell BTC or buy with it when the price is on its peak and we should buy Bitcoin when the price is lowest. That's what we all want to do, but in reality we can never be sure whether it's the right itme to buy or to sell. When in November 2013 the price has risen from $200 to $400 many people thought it was definitely the right time to sell. Who knew it will go over $1,100 in a month?
This is quite correct that who knew bitcoin would have touched $1100 in a month. Those who sold at $400 made profit of $200 per btc. Those who sold at $1100 made $900 profit. But those waited for btc to touch sky, realized truth hard way when btc plunged to ~$250 level.  Thus it is up to holder how much risk is affordable. Better approach would be to get seed money out as quickly as possible then work with pure profit earned. Play safe.
719  Local / India / Re: how to join signature campaigns ? on: January 17, 2017, 02:15:02 PM
You would find mandatory or recommended thread in introductory post of any signature campaign.  There are general rules and guidelines on how one should work through signature campaign.

Hi Everyone.
How are you doing all?
I am new to Bitcoin so i am sure that it will take some time for me to learn many things about it? I will need your help to learn many things.

Thanks

I'm still wondering what is the purpose of this thread. Is it introductory? Kindly check the the sticky thread in Beginner section:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0

Intention is not to troll but to understand how we could help you better and precisely. Current thread is open ended without any specific question/query.

People here in forum are very helpful and responsive. Make sure to ask correct questions. By starting purposeless threads which are there for just increasing post/activity are already generating lot of garbage posts.
Best wishes for you to learn more about bitcoin and become helpful member of this bitcoin world.
