701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all nations of the world started to use bitcoin on: April 22, 2017, 11:53:19 PM
If all countries use bitcoin, must be able to provide free internet to all countries. Because it will be used by everyone.

For some countries this is possible but here in my country this is all about business. Big companies will take the chance of earning with the internet connection of bitcoin. It is good for us that are into bitcoin while it is still good as early but for those people that will enter bitcoin lately, it will not be an easy thing for them.

As a matter of fact, some countries provide free internet already in public areas such as park, malls, etc. On the other hand, I would not agree that the internet will be fully free for all. Just think about the quality they will provide if that happens, I would think that the internet will be so slow because ISPs gives good quality of service if they are paid high enough.

I have some questions regarding the signature campaign.

1. Are we allowed to post on any board? Just meet the 15 post per week and that's it? It happens that I did not see any rules about the signature campaign. Also, is the quality of post necessary in order to be paid?
2. When will be the payday? Is it by week or after the ICO? If by week, is there a fixed duration or it will depend on what date we registered?

Please provide rules regarding the signature campaign. I do not know if the rules were given on other thread or somewhere, if there is kindly reply the link.

Thanks in advance.

706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Number of Bitcoin users. on: April 16, 2017, 09:09:51 PM
Recently, a comprehensive cyrpto currency study was conducted by the university of cambridge.Although,it has revealed various aspects of bitcoin such as total number of wallets used, number of unique users of crypto currency wallets, but finally they have said that it is impossible to know precisely how many people use crypto currency. What do you think? Can we atleast get an approximate number of  total Bitcoin users world wide?
Impossible is nothing, easy to say it impossible as to get it become reality ; a lot of effort and cooperate are required from all of users.
Approximately? Maybe not, but at least almost true. To calculate bitcoin users all over the world, we need an anonymous poll. I mean, an online poll which every person could vote, start from a country to another, cooperate with exchanges to achieve that. Not impossible but not easy to do, in the end ; who wants to do that? There's no point to look after the approximate number maybe.

And how do you think you can implement that? How do you even know that all bitcoin users would answer your anonymous poll? Is there a certainty that they will answer honestly? How about multiple voting, can that anonymous poll identify if that particular user voted already? Your idea seems to be very difficult. There are many possibilities and factors to consider before implementing such anonymous poll. That approach will not also give the exact number of users, even not near to the exact number.
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons of why bitcoin accepting shopping sites are not famous on: April 16, 2017, 05:11:50 PM
We all can see that on internet there are a lot of online shopping sites which have a lot of customers even bitcoin users also need paypal to shop online while they do not know that with bitcoin they can shop online easily without any exchange but they do not know about these sites. The reason is that these online shopping sites do not advertise their sites they even do not advertise on here which is the biggest bitcoin community and where they do not need any higher budget for advertising but can start a smaller signature campaign.
Those new sites are just trying to see whether accepting bitcoin would be successful and profitable.Once they get good results, they would start advertising their sites that they would start accepting bitcoins.

But how come they will get any profit from accepting bitcoin if the bitcoin users does not know that they are accepting bitcoin. They must advertise that  they are already accepting bitcoin from the start. That way, they can evaluate whether accepting bitcoin as payment is profitable or not.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: April 16, 2017, 04:53:15 PM
Nowadays we do not use paper money anymore. We do all our shopping online. We do not need paper money for clothes, food, etc.
Payment systems are constantly changing. Bitcoin is the result of this change.
So Bitcoin is a real payment system. Yes bitcoin is a money.

I do not know where did you get this information but this is not entirely true. I cannot even give a single country that do not use fiat anymore.

Fiat money is still the mostly used type of money across the globe. It is being used every minute for payment. You claim that digital money is the only money being used and you even neglect the fact that digital money, at any point, did not surpass fiat at all.
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: April 16, 2017, 04:28:37 PM
The government can pass a law that essentially bans the use, buy/sell/trading of bitcoins. What the government cannot do is control this ban. There is no server to block. There is no network or range of IPs to filter, there is no “port” to shutdown, there is no organization to provide a notice to. If enough major countries banned it, then bitcoin might just be reduced to a novelty traded item, in which legit consumers and clients would not be willing to invest in or fund companies related to bitcoin.

Yes, who would control a decentralized currency? Even Satoshi cannot control bitcoin now. Bitcoin was intentionally made as an untouchable currency specifically for any government, organization, or international body. They can ban bitcoin anytime they want but they cannot control individuals from using it.
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: April 16, 2017, 04:22:20 PM
Bitcoin replaced by another cryptocurrency?

I think it is impossible. Because we know and realize that bitcoin is the mother of all kinds cryptocurrency then I believe bitcoin will never be replaced by cryptocurrency
yes i agree in my opinion altcoin or other currency not value if there is no bitcoin Smiley
so if bitcoin die and replace by another currency i think is imposibble Smiley

There is an old saying as "No matter how good you do your job, there will be a person who can do better.."
More than 60k unconfirmed transactions, transaction fees raising day by day, Exchanges started asking for different fees to every user, many faucets and gambling sites turning to altcoins. Bitcoin replaced by some other crypto currency is a possible scenario in the future. May not be right now but after a few years, it is possible.

it is really possible since there were already a lot of users in bitcoin, some might find more reason to change in other currency to find some satisfaction, though bitcoin have lots to offer there is something to improved and to develop.

That is right. The average transaction fees are too high. People will start using other coins.

And what if that "other" coin gained many users and had many transactions per minute, don't you think that their fee will likely to increase as well? The quality of service is directly proportional to the required fee. That is why even bitcoin's fee increased, many are still using bitcoin.
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all nations of the world started to use bitcoin on: April 16, 2017, 10:58:04 AM
What would be a beginning for a better world. The economy would be more stable and the price of BTC would be too. And it wouldn't  be easy for someone to steal money because the system would be way more safe. And everyone will know that there are only 21M btc to use, and this is a way for nobody to ''make'' more money.
to me i think that is the future of bitcoin. although it will take such long time as still only 1 % people of the world are using bitcoin but we can see that the users of bitcoin are continuously increasing.
The population of bitcoin users are now keep increasing, you are right that 1% of the people in the world or more use bitcoin as of now and it will continue to rise if we will just keep being active in this forum and any bitcoin community site and also keep promoting bitcoin until its popularity will be enough for bitcoin to stand alone and keep growing.

Seriously? 1% of the total population in the world is using bitcoin? The total number of bitcoin users is so much far from the 1% you are saying. What do you think is the 1% of the world's population? There are more than 7 Billion people in this world and the 1% of 7Billion is 70 million. The number of bitcoin user is not even near 10 million so from where did you get that statistics of yours?
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: April 16, 2017, 10:44:44 AM
Every system that build with standard algorithms always have bugs. I am not saying bitcoin saving a bugs that can destroy it in the future, but everyone knows if there is smart people with high intelligence can build a system, so there will be another smart people with similar high intelligence or more can make something like that or find a bit mistakes in that system.
I am always curious how bitcoin with almost perfect security system can create by just one person that called Sathosi nakamoto. I mean it's too perfect to build by a single person.

True. Every system has faults and bug. No one can really do a perfect system. There will always be someone or a group of individuals that will penetrate a system. Therefore, bitcoin will always be prone from any hackers around the world.

Come to think of it, that is quite intriguing. That fact could make us think that Satoshi Nakamoto is actually a group of skilled individual and not just a single person. Well I am not saying that bitcoin cannot be made with just a single person.
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maersk, Walmart & others already applying blockchain technology to everyday use on: April 16, 2017, 09:07:55 AM
Even if blockchain was patented, some developers would still use blockchain's concept. That is how innovation works today. More and more developers and programmers will be utilizing blockchain in different type of applications. And come to think of it, is there some sort of problem if blockchain was used mostly in different application rather than currency at all?
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is responsible for less than 1% of Overstock's revenue on: April 16, 2017, 09:00:57 AM
That 1% is not shocking at all. There is not much people using bitcoin today to contribute more in any company's revenue. The number of bitcoin users worldwide does not even have 1% of the total population in the world so this rate is more than normal to me. Just wait a little more, when bitcoin becomes more popular, when bitcoin's value become at least 10,000 USD per BTC. Then you will see that 1% revenue will soar high exponentially.
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you have to pay 10% or 20% extra will you still be using bitcoin? on: April 16, 2017, 08:49:12 AM
This type of problem would likely become a threat for bitcoin's existence. Who would pay 10-20% of fee? Even rich people would be mad due to the very high fees. Also, this is why bitcoin is still impractical when it comes to a daily basis of usage.

I would rather cash out my BTC instead of using BTC for many transactions, especially on microtransactions. Cash will not require fees when on a face to face payment, so why use bitcoin. I still prefer fiat in using for payments, and bitcoin for me is for earning.

717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bribing via bitcoin a good idea? on: April 15, 2017, 08:45:29 PM
With 1000 dollars each, it seems that bribing with bitcoin would be a good idea.  One USB stick will do the job with no third party required.
Bribing itself is a bad idea.
But if you still want to bribe, then bitcoin would be much easier to bribe than using cash.Since there is no bank transaction involved here,it could not be traced.Just a click will do sending bitcoins from your wallet to the other address.
Bitcoin is a very easy money to be used for bribe work. And that was certainly made by so many people. And I think that's a bad idea for bad guys. I feel hated and do not want it to happen. It is a criminal offense and affects everyone, and it affects the reputation and the cleanliness of bitcoins. I hate it.

Whether we like it or not, wrongdoers will remain on doing bad things. It is really sad to think that bitcoin is used in such activity but what can we do about it? Nothing. Criminals will always find new ways on how they will do their bad deeds and since bitcoin is just there, waiting to be used, they will use it not only for bribery but for other type of criminal act also. They will stop at nothing just to do what they want.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons of why bitcoin accepting shopping sites are not famous on: April 15, 2017, 08:10:24 PM
A possible reason for this is that they do not prioritize the use of bitcoin as payment as of now. I think that they already thought about announcing their shop is already accepting bitcoin as payment. That is a basic marketing strategy. But if they do not prioritize that type of payment (via bitcoin) then they will not waste funds by having signature campaigns. They will just include in their website that they are accepting bitcoin or they will just include that detail in their banner or whatever.
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all nations of the world started to use bitcoin on: April 14, 2017, 04:25:09 PM
What will happened if every country started to use bitcoin. Is the current supply of bitcoin and blockchain capacity can handle every bitcoin user?

Thanks in advance.

People all around the world are already using bitcoin.

So I think what you meant is that what if the governments in every single country in the world decided that they should legalise the usage of bitcoin and therefore everyone in their country starts using it.

I would say that bitcoin is definitely up for the challenge, because it was designed to be a global currency in the first place. However therw are still scalability issues to be solved before worldwide adoption can actually begin.

Yes, people from around the globe are using bitcoin already, but the question was if all country. It is a fact that not all country are using bitcoin as of now but what if that scenario happens. It seems that you did not quite comprehend what was asked.

OP, blockchain can handle every user, that is the main purpose and the design of blockchain itself but the question is how much time it would take in order for blockchain to accommodate each user, I think it will take forever. A further optimization must be done so that it can accommodate such number of users. Today that the number of user is so small, compared to the total number of people in this world, blockchain have some issues upon accommodating every transaction what more if all country uses bitcoin. Blockchain have many work to do to address every user.
720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if someday the network internet totally dead . on: April 14, 2017, 03:42:39 PM
If someday really this happens then it will not be only Bitcoin which will suffer but all financial system will be effected and will face blockage and huge trouble. I have many time seems banking services have trouble due to linkage down or other problems of connectivity with main server. I am not worried as everything will see same problem in that case nothing will be usable.

That is right. This world had become more and more dependent to the internet and if the internet itself dies, it would be chaos. Businesses are also affected because some company uses the internet in order to provide services to their costumers. Not to mention other people who uses the internet in a daily basis such as in social media, online games and others.
