Sorry, there's no way for you to transfer your ERC20 token out of your wallet to a exchange and do trades without Ethereum. However, why not deposit few Ethereum to your MEW, an amount that to get your going and trade your ERC20 tokens. I have the same problem when I started to accumulated tokens as well. LOL. Didn't know that I need Ethereum as fuel.

You need Ethereum as a GAS or GWEI, think of it as the fees you need to incur when transferring bitcoin. And its quite cheap, the current GWEI is around 50, it around $1 or more. Go to trading site and buy Ethereum and then transfer to your MEW.

Again, there's no one here that can really says when the future brings. The price can go bottom or top at the end of the year. You can go back in 2017 and check every predictions that member made, and you will find 99% not accurate.

So it just shows that no matter what graphs or TA you look, most of the time it's a miss. But If I can share my opinion, bitcoin started below $1K starting 2017 and now its above $10K. So decide for yourself, are you willing to invest and wait it out in a year and see how your investment grows or not to invest at all because of so much volatility?

I really doubt that TRON can make it to the top 5 this year as per market cap. Other coins might surpass it at the end of the year. I'm not sold about this coin. Its been pumped very hard, and another rude awakening when the market crumbles.

Glad you also see what I'm seeing. Noobs will really have a hard time understanding when it breaks all the way down. They are throwing money without thinking. But when the price goes down, they will all shout out that this coin is a scam. Its their fault, greediness, without logic, irrational behavior. We have seen this when bitcoin touches $19K. There are newcomers buying at top price and now crying when the price today is just above $11K.

There's no one can really point as to where the price will move in the future. There are analysis that says bitcoin will go below $8K when the $10K wall breaks. However, it didn't happen and so far it looks like we are stable above $11K.

But we can't take away TA though, its really a good guide for us casuals who don't know how to read graphs and candle sticks and so on. That's why personally, I read all about those predictions and make my one decision.

As per OP, thank you for sharing your insights, I'm very optimistic that we can get over this another hump in the road and we see bitcoin rise again in February as you have predicted.

I haven't thought of that for a second. OK. I'm thinking of earning at least $1 million this year. I will set this goal of mine and see how it goes. This is also one way of giving ourself a good vibes and focus on our goal for this year.

Last year, was able to do this, however, when I look at how much I earned, was quite surprise that I did pretty well. There was one thread that I remember, the OP, set his goal to reach $1M and he did it in 8 months, specially during the height of bitcoin rampage and the booming of the alts economy. So I guess my goal is doable.

However, are you sure you want to get $10M this year, you set the bar too high, but I guess if you believe that you can do it then no can prevent you from reaching your dreams.

Depends on the trading volume of the said trading platform. Thank for example, Zimbabwe exchanges, the price of a bitcoin is at a premium, because most of them are putting a lot of their money into the market because its their mode of storing their wealth. And then we have the South Korean market which dominates the trading volume per 24 hours. They too have bitcoin price well above their Western counterpart because the trading volume is huge on that side of the planet.

So its not surprise that we will find different bitcoin price on every exchange. That's why we also have what we call "Arbitrage", wherein you will buy bitcoin on a trading platform where the price is lower and then sell them at a higher rate on another platform. Instant profit on your end.

Even if we have the crystal balls, I'm 100% sure that you can't predict where the price would go because its really volatile and every minute that price keeps changing. That's why there are TA, but for me its no way to really refer to it because most of the times its a missed, and its only a basis and not accurate in my view.

The price changes randomly because of the process of buying/selling by a lot of investors. That's why I don't bother to do short or day trading because in a blink of an eye your investment will go to 0 not unless you are really a pro. And every move you make is a calculated risk.

I agree that 2018 will be a big year for altcoins market. We have seen it growing in the last month and continue its trends up until the crypto bloodbath. But the future really looks good. As for Ripple, It can go as high as 6$ a pop in the next weeks or so. Now its climbing very fast again after trading below 1$ during the bleeding. It has soon recovered and I think it will be pump hard again by the investors.


Its still at a discount price and I suggest that you get it while its below $2 a pop. Just like what I speculate it could go as high as 6$ and that will make your invested tripled. There's always two side of a coin, some will attack it, but if you have faith that it will increase many folds in the future, then you might as well get it right now.

For me having a huge number of Telegram followers or members, is not a gauge on how a successful an ICO could be. I have joined a lot of Telegram groups but it doesn't mean I'm taking part of the ICO, success or not. Its just one instrument to spread the word about your project or ICO, and there's still other social media like Facebook and Twitter. So I really doubt that Telegram is a good or the new measures of ICO success.


Exactly, there could even be bots, (I have seen a lot) that can even say "Hi" to you. LOL. So it really doesn't make sense to used it is a indicator. Since there is a crash and Ethereum went to sub $1K again, I think it will be very hard to climb back and even reach $2K at the end of January. But looking forward, if there is a bullish sentiments and renewed interest on the coin, it will likely to get $2K around end of Feb or mid March. I don't think that this crash will be the end of the $2K goal, in fact this price correction will lead to more growth, steady growth in the next coming months.

I still have high hopes in Ethereum, at the end of the 2017 who see it pushing even further and touching 4 digits this month alone. I'm sure with a lot of positive news, this coin could even go even higher around May-June. Last year it has significant growth around that month, I just hope it can duplicate it again this year and reach another all time high.

I think they have been awoken already from their long slumber. And it looks like they are collecting and stashing more bitcoins in the next days or so. That's how they are, most of the time they are in deep coma but once awaken, it's hard to stop the herd from flocking into the market. You can hear them from afar.


A price "correction" is the reverse of a bull run if I'm not mistaken. Most people define correction as a 10% down of the market price, as opposed to a crash which is around 30% or more.

I do hope that you enter when the price is at $96xx because that really a bargain. Wasn't able to get it time though to see that price however, I get a few while the price is just above $10K and I will hold on it for at least 8 months and see where will my investment takes me.


That's nice to see that you also was able to get bitcoin at a discount. I should have sold my car and my jewelries to be able to get back and buy more at that price.  . But I think I have stored enough, its now waiting game. Looks like the market is all green including altcoins. So this maybe a start of something big in the next days or so.

Don't exchange it to fiat as you will likely incurred a lose. Don't be another noob investors, who just sells when the price is dipping. Act like what we all been doing for years. Hold during dip, and buy more bitcoins. And just like what others have said here, it will likely rebound and you will see a lot of profit in the future.

Indeed. We don't have a choose do we? Hodling on for Dear life is the best way to describe what we are going in right now. But since most of us are here are literally bag holders, this is the best option left for us.


I don't know though if you guys are going to follow this strategy. But I'm not converting it to Fiat and re-investing it to something like precious stones (GOLD) or stock market. Would rather stay in crypto and wait for the long haul.


I think this can be done successful. However, it has high risk for me. Plus the fact that I'm no expert trader, I would shy from this strategy. Again, those who are doing this knows very well how the market works and take advantage of the will price that we are seeing, buy at <$10K and sell it around $10100-$10300 quickly.

Yes, and it also encourages a lot of newbies to create multiple accounts and join airdrops.


But I would rather join Bounties or Signature campaigns because its risk free, as compare to mining or trading, high risk and sometimes low reward. Signature campaigns is the viable option to earn with altcoins, because all you have to do is join, follow the requirements and wait till the end of the ICO to get your rewards. Will only take a few minutes or hours of your day. But you will need to have patience as well because most of them lasted for more than 4 weeks and additional weeks to get your rewards.

Correct, my portfolio is also down, funny this is, before the slump, I have thought of moving some funds and cash it out. Unfortunately, the crash happens, damping my chance of doing it, so I have no choice but to Hodl tight right now.

I believed that most of us here are really for the long haul, specially in bitcoin. This is just another test and I'm sure that it will be pass with flying colors again. We have so much optimism that we can recover from all of this. And for long time holders, this is not new to them. I'm sure that they are not shaken, only those who are really weak and afraid of the situation will really do the opposite and sell while the price is going down.

Bankers has already continuing to waged war against bitcoin and crypto, but I don't know if they had a hand on the current market crash. This correction is deemed to happened, no need to over think what's the cause of all of this. Just don't get worried to much mate, its not good for your health.  

We have seen this kind of event before, bitcoin crashed, bitcoin rebounded, bitcoin getting all time high. Rinse and Repeat.

The crash has something to do with the Asian market market. Some say its because of the Chinese New Year, China and South Korea banning everything crypto related. But as I have said, bitcoin's been there, done that already. Just have faith it in you will, and soon the price will many times, as we have witness in the past.

Of course altcoins is also a good way to make more money, right?

Its a thriving business and others says that we need to diversify, so its really good if you have a portfolio that includes altcoins are well. Recently (before the crash), altcoin is really enjoying a healthy ecosystem. Most of them achieved all time high from the second half of December last year up to 2 days ago. And I'm sure that a lot of investors enjoyed so much profit that they stay away from bitcoin for the time being.

But even though the market is crashing, I will still support them once everything is clear. Right now, I'm not making any move because I still observing everything from behind. But since everything is in red, its fun to go and try to buy some cheap altcoins and then just trade them when this slumped is over.

LOL. I laugh with the Kimchi thingy. South Korean market is really at a premium price. Remember when bitcoin is at a premium and trading way above their Western counterpart? I'm sure that NEO will be pump hard as well. That's why I'm surprised to see it increasing at 25% or more. Its will be called the Korean Ethereum now. 

I hope I didn't miss the boat, I have predicted in December that the next coins that is going to be pumped are NEO and damn I'm correct. Still holding and see how it goes. You gonna love our South Korean brothers on the other side. 

Just like any other coin that is listed initially in a exchange, you will see a massive dump because those who are holding it are going to sell it like pancakes.


Oh OK. If the token is going to burn then there will be a limited supply. And when the demand goes high in the next 6 months I'm sure that the price will go up. But we will never know.
