For increasing the security in Telegram I would advise to have a look at the settings. Personally, I disliked the standard settings of Telegram and I've changed most of them: In Privacy and Security I would recommend to chose: - Phone number (who can see my phone number) => my contacts - Calls (who can call me) => my contacts - Groups (who can add me to group chats) => my contacts And of course it's important in Telegram that you don't use your real name and your real photo. There are too many scammers and I'm sure you don't want that a picture of you is used by scammers. Also in the settings, in Data and Storage I've switched off everything to avoid downloading every bullshit automatically. In most cases the GIFs and pictures are only wasting storage of your device but in some cases (malware) I would rather be safe than sorry and advise everyone to switch off automated downloads: - Automatic media download - when using mobile data => off - when connected on Wi-Fi => off - When roaming => off - Automatic media play - GIFs => off - Videos => off - Streaming - Stream videos and audio files => off Telegram has many features but they can also be abused by scammers. So better take care and adjust your settings.  |

I have participated in their signature campaign 1 or 2 weeks and I choose to transfer 50% to tokpie so I can convert them to ETH.Now I can't find the way to sell them anymore and impossible to get the tokens without passing KYC.This is a total rip-off, if anyone makes a flag I'll definitely support it. Generally it is advised to create an thread yourself when starting a flag, but since this one here is very well documented and 1miau is a trusted member, it probably would be the best if you simply link to this one. A second one would either contain not all the information present here, or would be redundant. I'd say, link to this one and report back once the flag is created. You got my support. Since you have confimed to be affected by their KYC-Scam here it's totally fine to link this topic as reference in my opinion. Supported. But I don't know if that's allowed to create a flag from your alt while your main was scammed. Would you consider that as ok? The only reason is to protect the main from damages like deletion of stakes or doxing because they have the personal data and it's linked to the account.
As far as i understand, this forum does not necessarily distinguish between different accounts. For example: 1) If one account scams, all known alts will get tagged. 2) Being banned does not mean the account, but the person is banned. Therefore i would say if an alt creates a flag and some reputable and trusted member does confirm that the alt does belong to an damaged user, it should be fine. I, for example, trust you. So if you confirm that the alt is from someone who was damaged, i trust that statement and therefore can support that flag in all conscience. However, i'd still like to hear the opinion from others regarding this topic. I agree, especially if the use of the main account could lead to damages when the team refuses to pay that account or they have already the personal data and there's a high risk of getting doxed when the main account is known. However, i'd still like to hear the opinion from others regarding this topic.

Exchange market is highly competitive. There are many good exchanges out there, and reliable ones, such as binance, kraken bitstamp coinbase...
I really don't see too much of a reason to invest in a new created exchange, which will be riskier for users.
IEO - Initial Exchange Offerings, are not crowdfundings for launching new exchanges, they are just like ICOs, but instead of developers conducting the token sale themselves, via smart-contract, a third party (exchange) conducts it on their behalf, with things like capping contributions per user, destroying unsold tokens and so on. People believe that IEO's are less likely to be scams, because exchanges care about their reputations and check the projects that they list. I personally believe that IEO's are not really different from ICO's, and in fact they are just rebranded ICO's with extra steps, and they have just about the same level of scammery. The difference that IEO scammers instead of running away with money after a few months will just fake activity, tweeting that they work hard and soon the project will moon, while their useless token goes to zero. I think you are completely right here. There are quite a few people expecting that IEO is something special where the project is "approved" and they will make a big profit. The reality is much harder. After the team has raised funds the project might turn into a big nightmare. A funding on an exchange doesn't improve the skills of the team. The devs haven't even to be dishonest, it's always possible that they experience big issues when they realize that their idea is not so easy to realize how they expected. IEOs are only ensuring to weed out the blatant scams where the team is fake, involved in fraud before or other red flags which an halfways experienced person should spot easily on his own. In the German section two projects were very famous last year, Savedroid and Envion. Both collected a big amount of money. Savedroid (crypto saving app) collected over 40M $ and Envion (mining containers) collected over 100M $. Both of them failed badly, I didn't follow them closely but as far as I know Envion is close to be a scam where the founder tried to do some shady practices. At least the project is failed. Savedroid isn't a scam but the team is completely out of their mind and think they can run the company like a local kebab shop. They have made an April fool after their funding to simulate an exit scam because they thought it's a cool marketing strategy to get attention. NOT In both cases the company would have had no problems to get approved for an IEO, the team is known, the expectations are big, everything is fine for an approval by big exchanges like Binance. The issues happened after the funding and that's why IEOs often have no advantages to ICOs. |

ihr müsst alle aktiv mitarbeiten, die BM nerven und auch hartnäckig bleiben. teilweise kommt es mir so vor als würden BM sachen durchgehen lassen da sie selbst mit den scammern unter einer decke stecken oder selbst mit ein paar alts an eigenen kampagnen teilnehmen. was sich hier für abgründe auftun wenn man im detail nachsieht  und man kann leider absolut nichts dagegen unternehmen. Also wenn der Bounty Manager mit Alts an der eigenen Kampagne teilnimmt (er selbst darf die Signatur tragen, mehr Accounts von ihm jedoch nicht), wäre das einen Report in Reputation wert, dass er mit Alts an seiner Signaturkampagne teilnimmt. Für normale Teilnehmer kannst du es in Known Alts berichten und wenn die folgenden Kriterien erfüllt sind bekommen sie negativen Trust (sofern das überhaupt noch was bringt): - sie sind Alts (mit Beweis) - mehrere Alts nehmen gleichzeitig an der Signaturkampagne teil ("Bounty Abuse"), gilt auch für mehrere Accounts in der selben Twitter / FB etc. Kampagne. das ist doch echt unfassbar oder? ich weiß meine zeilen hier ändern nichts... aber bitte bleibt einfach aktiv und hartnäckig. vielleicht ändert sich irgendwann was... ehrlich gesagt zum ko**** was da abgeht.
Es ändert sich eher in die Richtung, dass Accounts, die in der Vergangeheit für Bounty Abuse markiert wurden, trotz negativem Trust wieder für's Tragen einer Signatur zugelassen werden.  Aber trotzdem immer reporten und markieren, steter Tropfen höhlt den Stein und wer weiß, wie das Trust-System Ende des Jahres aussieht. Das wird mir aktuell zu sehr dran rumgebastelt, das ändert sich garantiert nochmal.

Tabellen sind eigentlich immer hilfreich, wenn man lange Listen erstellen möchte. Es ist zwar an sich etwas mehr Aufwand aber die Darstellung sieht einfach besser und übersichtlicher aus. Sometimes I'm quite busy and most days of the week I'm online only during the evening hours due to study work, but it wouldn't be a problem for me to spend at least the double amount of sMerit I'm distributing right now. There are always good posts like in Beginners and Help where I would like to drop a few.
I support the applications. I'm also considering to apply one day, as last days (months) quite often I ran out of sMerit, and there are some people deserving to get merit, when I have the possibility I report them to a Merit source. I know that with every application comes a drama so that's why i haven't done it yet. Anyway if there is a need for more sources, I'll trow my hat in the ring. Allgemein empfinde ich die Lösung von Problemen in diesem Forum als eine sehr zähe Angelegenheit, wie wir ja auch bei der Rück-Ernennung von phantastisch gesehen haben oder der neuen Foren-Software, die eigentlich schon seit ein paar Jahren geplant wird aber nicht fertig wird... Ja finde ich auch, die "Responsiveness" bei manchen Entscheidungen und mehr Transparenz würde ich auch sehr begrüßen. Weiß man eigentlich, ob zumindest tyz seinen Status als Meritquelle wiederbekommt? Direkt zu gesagt wurde nichts, ich hoffe allerdings, dass sein Status da nicht "resettet" wurde und die forenübliche Trägheit endlich mal nützlich werden könnte. Wie das Meritquellen-technisch aussieht, weiß ich nicht, qwk wurden im Dezember 2017 die sMerits halbiert, als er ein paar Wochen nicht ganz so viel Zeit hatte und nur sehr wenig Merit verteilen konnte. Da wurde es ihm direkt gekürzt. Sollte sich das sMerit durch Inaktivität von selbst kürzen, hätte tyz wahrscheinlich nichts mehr oder nur noch wenig. |

Im Kryptouniversum haben mehrere Coins neben Bitcoin Platz. Auch Bitcoin hätte es schwer, wenn es nicht die Community der ganzen Kryptoprojekte geben würde. Alleine könnte Bitcoin zwar auch existieren, aber er würde wohl ein Schattendasein führen.
Im Großen und Ganzen würde ich eher sagen, dass es Bitcoin besser gehen würde, wenn von den restlichen Altcoins überhaupt nur 1-2% existieren würden. Andererseits wird durch die schiere Menge an Shitcoins auch die Bedeutung von Bitcoin immer mehr herausgestellt, während viele Shitcoins einfach nur noch als "Shitcoins " zusammengefasst werden. Das ist dann ja auch ein Qualitätsmerkmal von Bitcoin. Denke aber ebenfalls, dass innovative Konzepte wichtig sind, die es ohne Zweifel bei den Altcoins durchaus gibt. Allerdings ist diese Zahl sehr gering, wenn man es mit der Gesamtzahl aller existierender Coins / Tokens vergleicht. Als größtes Problem des Bitcoins sehe ich allerdings den Stromverbrauch. Sollte der Bitcoin-Preis wirklich weiter steigen, steigt auch der Stromverbrauch mit. Da wird dann auch das Halving den Stromverbrauch nicht wirklich senken, denn durch einen weiteren 50% Anstieg im Preis wäre die Auswirkung des Halvings auf den Stromverbrauch wieder komplett dahin. (Mir ist klar, dass es nicht so einfach ist, vielfach ist der Strom für Mining grün. Aber das interessiert in der öffentlichen Wahrnehmung nicht. Schon jetzt wird diese Thematik vielfach in Artikeln seriöser Zeitungen einfach inkorrekt thematisiert.) Sollte der Stromverbrauch weiter steigen, wird das in den Medien breit thematisiert und Bitcoin ggf. gebrandmarkt werden. In Zeiten der "Zukunftsfreitage" etwas, was man nicht unterschätzen sollte. Das Bitcoin das unangefochtene Kryptogold ist und bleibt, ist meiner Meinung nach klar. Schon allein durch die Massenadaption wird Bitcoin zum ultimativen Wertspeicher und ab einem bestimmten Wert nur noch für reiche Leute zu haben sein.
Warum sollte Bitcoin nur noch für reiche Leute zu haben sein?  Das ist denke ich etwas, was Bitcoin eben nicht ist, nur für eine bestimmte Klientel zu sein. Es ist eben für jeden Bürger nutzbar, der es auch nutzen möchte (sofern er die Geräte dazu hat und Internet kein Neuland für ihn ist). Ein besonders hohes Vermögen spielt dabei keine Rolle.
Zu einer neuen Altcoin-Saison: Meine Vermutung wäre: es wird wohl nicht wie 2017 jeden Shitcoin in dem Maße anheben, wie es damals der Fall war. Vielmehr schätze ich, dass vor allem die Top 100 und insbesondere ausgewählte Altcoins mit funktionierenden Konzepten und guten Ideen sehr gut performen könnten (durchaus besser als Bitcoin) aber in der Breite werden die Altcoins wohl weiter auf Bitcoin verlieren. Einzelne Altcoins werden im Zuge dessen auch mehr oder weniger Endgültig auf dem Shitcoin-Scheiterhaufen landen. Und vielleicht sehen wir noch den ein oder anderen neuen Altcoin, mit dem heute noch keiner rechnet.
Also: Je dezentraler ein Coin/ Token, je wertvoller in meinen Augen um's mal stark abgekürzt zu formulieren.
Kann ich direkt so unterschreiben, zumindest ist das auch ein Kriterium für mich. Shitcoins, bei denen Clowns (BSV, BCH) das Sagen haben, sind für mich genauso ein No-Go wie welche, bei denen sich das Team auf Kosten der Bagholder bereichert (XRP, Libra, ICO-Shitcoins). |

Na, da ist die Teilnehmerliste doch recht übersichtlich geblieben. Bin mal gespannt, wie es in einem Monat aussieht. Scheint aktuell (29,87$) wohl so, als wäre meine Schätzung (44,44$) deutlich zu bullisch.  Naja, wird vielleicht noch. Viel Glück allen und Danke an Lydian für das Gewinnspiel! |
