The delay values are just "guesses"... They are not "absolute"... as mentioned, they aim for a 90% confidence interval... However, the Bitcoin network is very dynamic... there are always transactions being added, some being dropped and others being confirmed into blocks. If you're looking for FAST confirmation, then you need to pay attention to the value that it says in the "Which fee should I use?" section. Your fee equates to 22 sats/byte... the recommended fees have been over 300 sats/byte for over a week now due to the large number of unconfirmed transactions in the mempool. Another useful site is: https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-txWhat does the delay mean?
The delay shown here is the predicted number of blocks the transactions will take to confirm. If a transactions are predicted to have a delay between 1-3 blocks, there is a 90% chance that they will be confirmed within that range (around 10 to 30 minutes). Transactions with higher fees will often have 0 delay, which means they will likely be confirmed with the next block (usually around 5-15 minutes).
How is the delay predicted?
The predictions are based on blockchain data of the last 3 hours, as well as the current pool of unconfirmed transactions (mempool). First, a likely future mempool and miner behavior is predicted using Monte Carlo simulation. From the simulations, it can be seen how fast transactions with different fees are likely to be included in the upcoming blocks. The predicted delay shown here is chosen to represent a 90% confidence interval.

Wallet Properties -> Backup This Wallet -> See other backup options -> Select "export keys list" -> click "export keys list" button
Then make sure that ONLY the following are checked: - Address String - Private Key (Plain Base58) - Included unsused (address pool) - Omit spaces in key data
It will give you a LOT of addresses/private keys... find the pair that matches the address you sent coins to. You can then just copy/paste that private key as required.

Anyway, after digging around the Trezor site for some time, I couldn't find the list of altcoins supported. Anybody have it? How engaged is either company in adding shitcoins? The more the merrier! Trezor supported currencies: https://doc.satoshilabs.com/trezor-faq/overview.html#which-coins-are-currently-supportedThey just added support for NEM, BTG, UBIQ, and EXP according to the Blog post that they emailed me today. Not thrilled to see this: I'm using Ledger Nano S right now and I'm not satisfied. The build quality is terrible. The device scratched easily even though it was laying on my desk all the time. I honestly have no idea what that user is talking about... I carry mine around all the time, chuck it in my bag, carry it in my pocket... looks brand new. I have both the Trezor One and the Ledger Nano S... they're both great. I have no real complaints about either.

coinb.in should create it for you... it's actually better if you set it up online first... put the "address A" in... it'll find all the available UTXOs for that address to use as inputs for your transaction. MOVE OFFLINE. Then you simply add your output address and the amount (remember, you need to calculate the fee so that output amount = input amount - transaction fee)... and click submit... it'll create the unsigned transaction for you. Then you just copy/paste the unsigned transaction into the "sign" page... add your private key... click "submit" and boom... signed raw transaction that you can broadcast MOVE ONLINE. Copy/paste the signed raw transaction and put it into the broadcast page and click submit.

Try rescan... and if that doesn't work... restore your wallet.dat
|
|
|
Is your BTC connected with an imported address or something? This BTC that you're supposed to have... what transactions are they from? The old one that you tried to abandon... or from newer transactions? Sounds like your BTC may not "exist" if it was unable to find it after a rescan

So, without anything running or open... and without holding down any buttons... what happens if you just connect the ledger with the USB cable?

Both your transactions are over 10 sats/byte... so you could attempt to use the ViaBTC Transaction accelerator to push them through. In the meantime, an upgrade to the latest version of Electrum is recommended. EDIT: a181de55bcc613170f3c99be8f0648dd55febf911f5adc2ac11e8697dbd1efce has been accelerated... should get a confirmation in the next hour or 3 depending on when ViaBTC mine their next block. EDi2: and e97dd729dd979e87630fa4a1d65692f1c5ac944d208be49ea8ae6deb74f331b0 was accelerated with ViaBTC as well... and this morning I see ViaBTC actually mined both together in the same block! You're welcome

HCP, what happens if the nano ledger malfunctions and you need a replacement? Also don't these need replacement eventually as they cannot last that long? Most importantly, would it be possible to recover your bitcoins/altcoin on a computer if you cannot buy another nano ledger s? Or would you have to get a replacement?
pretty sure we've covered this already:

You can probably find the transaction ID by looking up your address on a blockexplorer... like here: https://blockchain.info/Put your old address in the search there and see if you can see anything.
|
|
|
Why not just check your addresses on a blockexplorer? If your 2BTC are still on the address, chances are you're still good... just need to get your private keys out.
I just had a look at Bither on Android... aside from the terrible UI, it seems like you can export private keys... or seed phrases etc... so, I wouldn't write your 2 BTC off just yet!
But yes, I have to agree with your assessment of the app... looks pretty awful to be honest.

To recover from a 2FA wallet you need: 1. The 12 word recovery seed or 2. The FULL wallet (not watching only) AND your Google Authenticator If you don't have either of these things, then your coins are likely gone forever. Even if you manage to decrypt your xprv from your original wallet file, the 2FA wallet is a 2-of-3 MultiSig. Your wallet file has one key, your seed protects the 2nd (ie. it's not stored in the wallet file) and TrustedCoin have the 3rd. So without the seed, you can't get the 2nd key... and unless you still have your Google Authenticator, you won't be able to utilise the 3rd... so, at best, you'll have 1 key... and you need at least 2.

The short answer would appear to be that you CAN'T get this "Super" Shitcoin... they don't appear to have any network that I can see... no code... no mining... NOTHING... seems a lot like Bitcoin Diamond. A fancy website, a few social media accounts... some half arsed "roadmap"... and no real substance. I think a message to ThomasV letthing him know these guys are claiming "support" from Electrum is in order.

I think Tails uses Tor by default doesn't it? You might need to configure Electrum to use Tor. I'm not sure how up to date these instructions are: http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/tor.html ... but maybe it'll get you going?
|
|
|
It all depends on how much you trust each wallet not to leak your seed/keys. If you are happy that Electrum, Electrum-LTC and ElectronCash are all secure enough... using the same seed should not be an issue.
The only real issue is that IF (for whatever reason) your seed is compromised, then ALL your wallets are at risk. However, it sounds like you're taking appropriate measures to ensure this does not happen.

I absolutely don't. And by the way your worded that, I'm guessing it's a one-way trip if I do something I shouldn't. Perhaps I should get into contact with the original developers or the new team? I know the project has been discontinued but would a "patch" or a small update to adjust it be really that troublesome to create? On StackExchange some people asked the original team to get around it but I guess they never worked it out in the final updates. Honestly, I doubt they'll do anything... but you can try... one last thought: Have you simply tried restoring your wallet using your backup "wallet words"? I would assume that as those labels are not stored anywhere other than your wallet file, that if you restore, it won't find those labels... and the new version of your wallet will just have the addresses.......... in theory Also, it isn't exactly a "one-way trip"... providing you take full backups of the files and have your wallet words etc. It just isn't an "open a text file and change some text and click save" type of adventure.

hello i have this transaction unconfirmed cause low transaction fee.
can i have it back on my wallet? how many days need to confirm or cancel the transaction?
If it stays unconfirmed long enough... maybe up to 2 weeks to fully drop, assuming your wallet is not rebroadcasting the transaction. Then, effectively, the coins will "return" to your wallet. With a fee that low... and currently 100,000+ unconfirmed transactions... it will take days if not weeks before your transaction is confirmed. i lose my money?
No. Don't worry, the transaction will confirm or the coins will come back... it could just take a long time. Also, you should stop using MultiBit as it is no longer developed or supported... and it is very old and outdated and has a lot of potentially disastrous bugs. Please read: https://www.multibit.org and follow the link to the Blog post explaining your options. I would recommend that you seriously consider migrating to Electrum ( https://electrum.org/#download) the tx id are: 221980229e58bdd1a3d9ec3cf76d0b727cc5cab750a75f286fdd659d1ab38641 4f4c534efbfdb53398d0d9cba461abde74e2c635a88a5ecee8f7cdb0d70c6f0d
Your fees are at least 10 sats/byte, so you should be able to use ViaBTC Transaction accelerator... and/or confirmtx.com. Start with this one first: 4f4c534efbfdb53398d0d9cba461abde74e2c635a88a5ecee8f7cdb0d70c6f0d Once it is confirmed, then try accelerating the other transaction. EDIT: Ok... so I accelerated 4f4c534efbfdb53398d0d9cba461abde74e2c635a88a5ecee8f7cdb0d70c6f0d and it now has been confirmed... I'll try and accelerate your other one when I get a chance you're welcome EDIT2: and now 221980229e58bdd1a3d9ec3cf76d0b727cc5cab750a75f286fdd659d1ab38641 is accelerated... it should pick up a confirmation in an hour or 3 aaaaaaannnnnnnnnnd Confirmed!
|
|
|
Don't pay... just submit it to ViaBTC TX Accelerator... it's quite difficult these days, you have to do it within about the first 5 seconds (yes, seconds! ) of a new hour... so xx:00:01 etc... They only provide 100 slots per hour and there are still around 100,000 unconfirmed transactions in the mempool... so don't be surprised if you get "submissions beyond limit" error if you are a bit slow I'll try and accelerate it in about 35 minutes when the hour ticks over and update how I get on EDIT: "Acceleration Succeeded" Your transaction *should* be included in the next block (or 2) that ViaBTC mine... hopefully this won't take longer than an hour or 3.
