The fact we are at historical widest discount is telling us ETF conversion appear to be priced to happen far in the future.

Seems like a great opportunity for anyone who sold the peaks to get funds into their retirement accounts.  I've always avoided this fund, because why not just own Bitcoin...  However, seeing this premium grow and knowing that a spot ETF is only a matter of time, it's beginning to look like an attractive option.  For those who believe that Bitcoin is going to go up from here it seems like this might not be the worst spot to nibble a bit on GBTC as opposed to buying spot, especially if as mentioned, you're doing it with tax sheltered accounts.

It's a good decision by Nets to bring Kyrie back.

Ya, it’s nice he won’t be losing out on so much money and so many games from his legacy building career as a result of his personal beliefs. He showed a lot of heart leaving so much money on the table and risking being blackballed from a career he worked his whole life for in order to stand behind what he believed. I still think he’s a bit crazy, but he has my respect.
7043  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What is it with mining in a Tesla? on: December 17, 2021, 10:45:56 PM
-I know it might be a waste of your time explaining to me but at least if you know or understand it that fast not like me who's IQ is not that good but sharing about how could this be efficient and possible as you can see they are doing it?

It's efficient because he was planning on using a free unlimited supercharging plan, so he could fill up, drive home, leave the rig mining on the battery come back again and charge the battery for free. Tesla has since then phased out the unlimited free plan for everyone unless you had a lifetime one and they are just doing random promos right now and so probably a new buyer will not have this advantage. But this is just theory.

Whenever anybody claims to have free power I usually put that to the test and it's proven to not be true fairly quickly.  I can't tell you how many people I've known who say they have free power and then hook up a few miners and things quickly change.  Landlords freak out at sudden 4 figure electricity bills and investigate...  Businesses change their plans.  I guess it's good while it lasts, but typically ends up with a worse deal going forward.  Not just mining, but a good example of why we can't have nice things.
7044  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will the vaccination end? on: December 17, 2021, 07:42:40 PM
End?  LOL...  Imagine the government ending a temporary program...  Once you give them an inch you're never getting your mile back.  I refuse to take one single step down a path of regular injections from the government.  "Two weeks to flatten the curve" suddenly turned into, "winter of illness, death" for those who don't get the vaccine.  Even in the face of a diminishing threat, the government is doubling down on the fearmongering.  Not to mention the vaccine has shown that it doesn't stop the spread, so the entire thing is a bad joke on the human population to the tune of trillions of dollars wasted.

Not sure about the chemistry though, they are still in the 6 place in the West but winning 3 straight already. But the big test for the Lakers is to face the top 3 teams and see if the chemistry is there, otherwise they are good only to win games against a low team, just saying. And they almost lost to a team without their best player, so I wouldn't say this is a good gauge about their chemistry.
Yeah, the Lakers still need to improve their team chemistry. However, it's worth noting that they began to play much better after LeBron's full recovery from injury. By the way, there is also news that the Lakers decided to sign a 10-day contract with Isaiah Thomas. Honestly, I'm happy for him because he finally has the opportunity to return to the NBA. Let's hope coach Vogel will allow him to prove himself on the court.

I was happy to hear he got signed and will get another chance in the nba. He deserved it after balling out in the G league. Lance Stephenson has been putting up some numbers in an attempt at a comeback also. With the Lakers having some issues getting it together I wouldn’t be surprised to see something crazy happen with their roster soon.

Was a close game. More than it should have been with no Luka. The 2 last second shots to first send it into overtime and then to win the game were exciting to watch. Westbrook seemed like he was intentionally passing up shots at the end of the fourth and overtime. I think he was making a point to over pass after the trade rumors and saying he’s a ball hog. Something was off… Luckily it worked out for them tonight. AD back out there with a broken finger too… Whatever gets a Lakers win.

I'm seeing a lot of signs of long term weakness and some signs of short term strength in the market.  This is usually the opposite of what I'm used to seeing.  I'd remain cautious here.  Price models are starting to break and the focus is turning to things like NFTs and coin burns while DeFi is still going strong even after the latest crash.  There isn't a whole lot of reason to be bullish on Bitcoin here in my opinion, but we haven't seen the multiyear blow off top that we typically see, so that remains the hope for a target.  I think it would be wise to have an exit plan ready if the right opportunity presents itself and starting to familiarize yourself with ways to earn a return from your crypto other than by 'price go up' might be a good idea.

NastyMining has purchased 133 NastyFans seats listed on the public auction at a price of 0.0005 BTC per seat.  These seats will not receive distributions going forward and will result in an increase of 0.48% of the distribution share for existing seat owners.  This brings the total amount of NastyFans seats owned by NastyMining to 2,045 and can be verified here: https://www.nastyfans.org/list.csv

Anyone else looking to sell their online seats to NastyMining can list them for 0.0005 BTC per seat and send me a PM to let me know once they've been listed.

There is a nice game tonight: Dallas Mavericks - LA Lakers. Lakers are going to be my favourite for this game obviously but I won't be surprised to see Mavericks winning this game also. Because this is a close game actually if we take their positions in their conference into account right now. For Lakers, A. Davis's condition is going to be clear right before the game. If he doesn't play, Lebron and Westbrook will have the most of the responsibility for this game.

But the Mavericks is without their number one player, Luka Doncic. So it's hard to win against Lebron and Westbrook without your top player in the roster. Maybe they can stay for the first few quarters before Lebron and company take a comfortable lead. So it doesn't matter if AD will sit or play this game. Lakers has all the advantage as they will have to deal with KP only.

Without Luka it does seem like the Lakers should be able to easily win this one.  It looks like the Mavs even have the edge on the sportsbook I'm looking at, so it could be a nice little opportunity to get a W with some good odds for the gambling folks out there.  I won't be able to place a bet on this one unfortunately, but I will have the game on in the background.  Nice whenever you get to watch a game on ESPN.  Their streaming services are head and shoulders better quality than the alternatives out there...

I checked how much Klay has, and he is getting closer to 2k as well, he is a bit younger as well, so let's see if Klay will manage to break this record as well, not that he will pass above Curry, but he might have a chance to become second by the time he retires. Imagine two guys, who became first and second in "most three pointers in career" and they are both from the same team, that is very interesting to see.

That would be interesting for sure but everything will depend on how Klay Thompson will play when he comes back. His 3 point shooting form is definitely still there, however, I'm concerned with his speed as he is known as one of the fast-release 3 point shooters in the NBA with an accurate percentage.

We’ll find out next week how good Klay is going to be. Looks like he’ll be suiting up and on the floor before Christmas. That should make for some good matchups. I hope he can stay healthy and he isn’t rushing back. If he gets a dunk in though in his first game the crowd is going to go absolutely nuts. He claims he’s going to come back more athletic. We’ll see.

What a moment as Stephen Curry broke Ray Allen’s regular season career 3s record. He came out shooting and made 2 in the first 5 minutes. They shut down play and let Steph have his moment with his teammates, Dad, and eventually made his way to Ray Allen. Of course he had to break the record with a guy in his face and hitting nothing but net. Best shooter ever. Officially.
7052  Other / Archival / Re: SONDORS Metacycle - $5,000 Electric Motorcycle on: December 14, 2021, 10:10:24 PM
Sondors announced that the Metacycle price is increasing by $1000 on January 16th. That leaves only a couple weeks to lock in a $1000 savings if you were interested in getting an awesome bike for relatively low financial risk. We all knew this was coming but it’s nice to see it happen. I’m sure with inflation in the US quickly approaching 10%, this won’t be the last price increase we’ll see before these things hit the streets en masse.

New reports today that the Los Angeles Lakers have started internal discussions about whether or not they should trade Russell Westbrook.  It seems like they're trying to get involved in the Ben Simmons sweepstakes.  With a deal needing to be done in the next 24 hours, it seems like this is a longshot.  Interesting some of the possible teams being named in a blockbuster trade though...  Portland, Los Angeles, Philadelphia...  With the Lakers possibly willing to add Westbook to a deal next to THT and LeBron on Twitter saying how THT is the future, there's definitely some smoke coming from their camp...  Now we wait and see if it turns to fire.

Mike are not into drugs anymore so I'm assuming he is already thinking clear.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

WTF?  Mike not into drugs?  Are you being serious?  He not only owns his own brand of marijuana complete with a luxury weed smoking resort, but have you ever seen an interview with him in the last 5 years where he wasn't on drugs?  These days he can't do a podcast without being high on shrooms.  Not saying that's a bad thing, but he's clearly on drugs and it's debatable about how clearly one can think while on shrooms daily.  He even stated he was high on weed and shrooms during his last exhibition fight.  If there's one thing I know for sure about this fight, it's that Tyson will be high on drugs during it.  Even high on drugs and an old man, Tyson is the heavy favorite to beat Logan's ass.  I wouldn't bet against him.
7055  Economy / Collectibles / Re: (WTS) Eclipse Poster Second Edition - Limited Print - 10/33 Available on: December 14, 2021, 09:20:05 PM
Any updates regarding NFT verification? I assume "work around of minting cost" means it'll be on Polygon?

I have nearly worked this out, the next edition you will be able to verify the poster's authenticity on the blockchain.

The posters will be serialized with a hash function that pairs to one of the 33 NFTs that have been minted.

The NFT and hash function will be standard in the next edition. After a vote from the community on what hologram they would like to see Im going to move forwards.

Im looking into upgrading my camera to a state of the art macro photography lens and camera. This would allow me to get the deepest most detailed images possible of these holograms.

-33

Those sound like awesome developments.  Will the posters actually hold the keypair that owns the NFTs?  I like what I'm seeing with people getting used to the idea of having communities linked to physical items.  Reminds me of something...  Nevertheless, as NFTs become more popular and things like profit sharing become more regular in these types of communities, I think there's potential for items like this to be extremely valuable one day.  Would love to see them linked not only to an NFT with a keypair, but maybe the NFT collection could also have tradable NFTs that generate returns for the holders of the posters.  Would be cool if a poster on the wall was earning you crypto.  The hard part being creating a high volume market for a collection to generate fee revenue.

Looking forward to seeing this progress and what you've got up your sleeve next.

The Warriors vs Knicks game is televised on TNT tonight. Stephen Curry going for the regular season total 3 pointers made record. I think we all knew this would happen, but watching him break past Ray Allen with so much time left in his career is something special. With only 2 3s left he’s almost certain to break the record tonight and I’m guessing the crowd is going to go nuts every time he makes one.

A couple of punters here had a very enjoyable #UFC269 yesterday!

Good call on the Nunes Pena fight.  I don't think too many people saw that coming.  After taking down Cyborg with her strikes I didn't think any woman out there could stand in the ring with Nunes.  Julianna was a monster though.  Trading blows and eventually wearing Nunes down to get the win on a submission.  I don't know if Nunes is already starting to see a falloff in ability, or if she was just not training hard enough for this fight, but she seemed obviously winded towards the end.  She'll have something to prove in the next fight.  I hope this was a fluke.
7058  Economy / Services / Re: NFT platform development on: December 14, 2021, 01:20:46 AM
There are a lot of similar marketplaces opened now.

This is because most of them are just using open sourced code from github.  You can do a search on youtube and find videos showing you how to create clones of various sites for free and with an hour of work and basically no knowledge you could have your own NFT marketplace website like rarible just by following along with the video. Now I'm sure OP isn't just going to change some names on open sourced code and charge you money for it as that would be seemingly a bit fraudulent without the proper notification prior to accepting funds, but if you don't mind a cookie cutter NFT contract, youtube/github is certainly a cheap and easy option.  If you want a more customized solution with special features, hiring a coder might be a good idea.
7059  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Pepe Cards by Vizique on: December 14, 2021, 12:23:22 AM

XCP is and interesting choice, but I approve of the art. Dank and digital sounds like it could be a slogan on it’s own. Can you elaborate at all on what made you choose XCP for the project? I didn’t realize there were “Bitcoin 2.0” services still in use. Thinking about it though, this makes sense due to them being Pepe’s. I guess my curiosity lies in if the choice was made for nostalgic purposes or if you believe XCP will see a resurgence of use now as a result of NFT popularity.

I guess everyone is excited for Klay's return. Well, who else doesn't when the Warriors are playing in a high level performance. His addition might boost their performance even more better.
Everyone is also excited on the Playoffs to figure who's really the best team and who's going to make it to the finals this year as there were a lot of promising team and it's becoming more and more unpredictable.
Gone are those days where Miami, Cleveland or GSW has been dominating and obviously make the finals appearance.
I am guessing that there is about 10 days or so until Klay turns and he is not going to just suddenly thrown in there and have 30+ minutes, it is probably going to be 10 minutes per game for a while and gradually grow bigger and bigger, not even entirely sure if he will be 100% this year at all, even during playoffs.

But, obviously him coming back and having a little bit of help on defence or having some sort of shooting chance because everyone tries to double Curry now since GSW can't spread the floor as well as they can when they have Klay. This is why there is a stage where they will end up with getting a little worse first trying to get him back, then they will be better than even today.

It would be great if he was back for Christmas time but I have my doubts.  Has he even started playing in the D League yet?  I was under the impression they were going to make both him and Wiseman play a few games in the D League before returning to the NBA.  Maybe that is not correct, as recently Ibaka complained about having to go to the D League, saying it was insulting for a player of his caliber and would never be required for someone like Durant...  Anyway, I feel like we're seeing the old Warriors these days and when Klay and Wiseman get back in the lineup things could get scary.  I definitely underestimated their chances this year.
