7061  Other / Meta / Re: Earning merit points by being a cry baby! on: March 15, 2018, 11:47:17 AM
The OP is a pure shitpost. He might have been lucky getting merit on his past whining but definitely this tactics won't last. Desist from this OP before your account gets nucked.

Onto a serious concern. Honestly, I am beginning to loath write-ups on the Merit system. These complaints here and there piss me off.

Unbelievable! I can not believe that you can create such a foolish topic to suggest other users to complain all the time about merit system in order to earn merits.
Yes indeed, it is foolish.
7062  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Raise merit requirements at the lower and highest ranks (@theymos) on: March 15, 2018, 04:04:17 AM
A little deviation since Theymos can easily be reached here. Please don't see it as a complete off track.

I think there should be a deviced way the sMerit can be reversed (undone) if given in error. Let's say double clicked or sent twice without realizing it actually went through the first time or when refreshing/reloading one's browser after sending the merit - doing this tends to send our more merit even without the benefactor's knowledge. Can Theymos please fix this?

I am not sure anyone has brought this issue up but I don't want to pile up on the Merit system this and that by starting a thread on this.
7063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO project should I choose? on: March 15, 2018, 02:53:40 AM
Don’t buy ICO don’t waste your time, a lot of ICO drop when it’s available in the exchange, the game has changed.
This has become my mindset too as ICOs have become a ground for easy Internet fraud this day. But I can do pre-ico once I find the project laudable and irresistible. At pre-ico, the coins or token are almost at giveaways.

on choosing ICO you need to do research about their prject. and be careful to scammers because 90% of ICOs are scam.
Research don't seem to be enough this day. If you observed the Vionex ICO fraud, you wouldn't have known they would scam. Everything was carried out with clinical precision till the end. Got a whole lot of people deceived.

So I think you should not join the ICO, invest in Crypto, they are safer.
What are you blabbering about? ICO as used in this forum is all about crypto.
7064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO]🔥 BITCOINUS - Ecommerce payment processor🔥 on: March 14, 2018, 08:27:54 PM
Hello, please ask in bountyhive support - they deal with our bounty.
OP, are you by chance aware of this thread here with an allegation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2947177.0 Is it dé javu?
7065  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Iungo Scammed The Bounty Hunters on: March 14, 2018, 08:22:03 PM
We need to start some activity in social media websites. Because they are really scammers.
Here one of the new project where is one of the iungo team members
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2795842.0
Is the McGregor (from the link you supplied and I followed it to discover the OP of that thread) guy truly a member of the scamming team  as alleged? I am going over to draw his attention to this.

It is also a shame that trusted members which are giving negative trust every little shit out there is not even commenting on this issue.
Report this to the moderator or to the Meta session so that the guys get their red painting.

So what, you were hoping that if the bounty pool is $10 000 and you're the only one participating, you'll be getting $10 000 for doing nothing except having a small tag under your name?
Come on, don't be naive. An agreement is an agreement. It should stand that way except it is conditionally stated in the beginning that a reduction may occur later. Without that, changing rules if engagement at the end is a breach and should be seen as a scam.
7066  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Merit Phase 2 - Drain the Swamp (@theymos) on: March 14, 2018, 05:49:33 PM
It sounds like a good idea on the face of it, but I suspect that the bad managers will arrange for their posters to receive merit to bypass the restriction.
Ouch! This is a heavy allegation. You make it sound like the campaign managers are accomplices in this spamming the forum struggles to eradicate.

The problem is that in a lot of the altcoin/ico bounties the managers don't give a shit and just want to get as many page impressions as possible regardless.
Managers here express more laxity than their colleagues at the btc paying campaigns. I don't think they deliberately want to not be thorough but maybe the crave to keep the scarcely got jobs make them a bit relaxed with strictness to adherence to posting rules.

If Theymos implements rules, he then needs to enforce them.  :/

We need more moderators!

Then hire more eligible moderators.
If it would help the forum certain laws/rules need to be brought in stage.
I think the forums have enough moderators. They only need to step up their game and be top notch getting defaulters to face the wrath of the forum. The existing laws need to start getting enforced.

Something like users must earn 5 merits a months for their account to display a signature if being done by theymos or managers can make a user earn 1 merit per week to stay in a campaign.
I strongly disagree with this.Even though the merit system is doing well,I don't think every quality poster is awarded merits. My point being,a participant could be a great quality poster but due to whatever reasons his unmerited posts shouldn't stop him from participating in campaigns.
Well done Joel. Your position can not be faulted.
7067  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happen to Bitcoin? Bubble or Not? on: March 14, 2018, 05:19:20 PM
It was obviously a bubble and true to form like all bubbles it burst but that does not mean that bitcoin won't go up again, and with the way this crashes are going I won't be surprised if another bubble happened soon
As a noob, you are bound to take this position and tag what is happening a bubble. I don't have any issue with such stand. But have you heard of the word, "correction"? Good. Try to see what is happening as correction and price stability. Nothing rises forever without finding gravitational pull once in a while.

Or is this what makes the price to go low. Panic selling of a company of about $400 Mln worth of Bitcoin.
No doubt the Mt Gox sell off aided the further plunging of price as the news made a mess of technical analyses. Also, don't hurriedly forget that excess supply will always bring price to its knees at all time. And that was what happened with the sell off.
7068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding or Scalping ? what do you chose on: March 14, 2018, 01:51:01 PM
Scalping is a better option if you are a trader and know how to do it. Scalping is a skill not many can perfect. But if you are an investor you won't need it -only hodl.

if holding , Long or med term
The duration to hodl will also depend on the news surrounding the coin you are hodling. If news is favourable, you keep hodling and vice versa. So, there is no predefined time duration to hodl, for me.
7069  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Giant Binance to Launch Decentralized Exchange and Public Blockch on: March 14, 2018, 10:37:30 AM
The OP would do better if he put out the link to the source of this news. It helps to keep things in their proper perspective and prevent needless spamming. And as for Binance starting up a DEX while it has an already existing enviable centralized exchange will be a huge dream. I seriously doubt this.
7070  Economy / Reputation / Re: Would you trust someone who had been arrested multiple times for.. on: March 14, 2018, 09:38:52 AM
Well, if we had to beat the OP's question into two parallel parts: Political arrest and (2) Criminal arrest, our verdicts may change. For me, I see the first kind of arrest as having strength of character while the second may be with having criminal intent and breaking the law of the land.

My respect stays with the first. And yes, I would trust such a person arrested because they refused to compromise their fundamental principles with a sitting authority.

Illustration: Bear with me as I give these two scenarios to support my position. Two lawyers get arrested. One, for refusing to give up his activism. The other for defrauding a client. Both are convicted. Served their respective jail terms. Came out but both don't remain the same. The first one remains a lawyer while the second is debarred. This is because crime will always manifest a character flaw.
7071  Economy / Reputation / Re: asking 'VOD' to remove his bad review on: March 14, 2018, 09:10:18 AM
well but can u just please change it to neutral i just dont want to keep having this red trust...
I can bet my two upper incisors on the argument that the only reason you are so worried about Vod taking off the paint is so that you can easily get into Bitcoin paying campaigns. Minus that, I don't think you would be getting worried. Notably, you haven't shown any remorse for your misdeeds. If let off the hook, the concern is that you are likely to cheat again.

Most (bolded mine for emphasis) red painted people don't want to stay red painted
In support, I would strongly say, "ALL"
7072  Economy / Services / Re: ALAX.io Signature Campaign on: March 14, 2018, 04:25:56 AM
Payment received. Thanks.
7073  Other / Meta / Re: Does merit really helping the forum. on: March 12, 2018, 04:14:10 PM
Of course it is helping the forum - look how many merit threads and posts it has created. Smiley
Lol. Jet Cash is being hilariously sarcastic.  Shocked

Though he is right on the number of post this has created. If we look past the wall of amusement we would agree that the merit system is helping howbeit in its little measure in controlling spamming and draught of intelligibility in post constructiveness. It has also brought out a different dimension to the forum even with the "Joe's Signatureless Challenge" on board which encourages posters to up their game by increasing their post quality.

The Merit system is a good one.
7074  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: On which exchange do you trade crypto currency? on: March 12, 2018, 03:22:53 PM
Make it a habit of using the forum's search function before asking questions, to prevent redundant topics.

You should know by now that noobs are mostly out to increase their post counts, not to research before asking already answered questions. They don't even have the habit of reading posts above them let alone researching the forums.

I would advise the OP to lock up this thread as the answers he seek have been provided him.
7075  Economy / Services / Re: ALAX.io Signature Campaign on: March 12, 2018, 01:56:34 PM
There is something wrong with post calculation. I guess it's either certain posts in the past are getting deleted or the forum bot has gone haywire miscalculating posts. I read many complaints on this so I decided to review my post count too. Behold, I am also affected. Lol...

From the spreadsheet my post count was 1195 as at March 5 cut off. I have counted 28 posts I made that were recorded (minus this one) since March 6 till today. 1195 + 28 should be 1223 from my knowledge of simple maths. But what I have on my profile is 1203. Meaning I made just 8 posts since then? Funny, right?

Perhaps Yahoo will know what to do here.
7076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google too closing crypto ads on: March 12, 2018, 01:36:53 PM
If this happens, we should count it a good thing. Facebook did it and the crypto community is still bubbling after that. It only goes to put a bit of sanity on the whole frenzy. Besides, ICOs have become scam ventures now with devs only out to steal public funds and then scamper to safety. I believe this should help put a regulation on ICOs. It's a welcome development, for me.
7077  Other / Meta / Re: Signature bounties and Merits on: March 12, 2018, 12:54:20 PM
People just don't get it, you will not get merit if you're forcing yourself to write posts. Don't stress about it so much...
This is a sad truth. At the onset of the Merit system it used to bother me that my posts weren't getting merits (Of course I write quality posts). I would go back to check after posting if there were merits placed on them. And that wore me out. But not any more do I worry about that. I have been surprised on my posts that got merited after that.

I think the case with the OP is that of lack of depth in constructive posting. His posts history suggests that.
7078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the Biggest Bubble in Human History? on: March 12, 2018, 04:37:13 AM
This argument about bitcoin being a bubble has gone forth and back with weak (and sometimes with concrete) standpoints. We are yet to see the end of it. But I know that what gives a thing its intrinsic value is demand and this is what bitcoin has been able to achieve. We may think its price is way too high but wait for it as the popularity around it continues to spread with its limited supply.
7079  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading actually worth it? on: March 11, 2018, 08:16:34 PM
Seriously you won't find "pro traders" here.
Says who?

Definitely, yes trading is worth it and of course there are traders here who make money off trading even in this bearish market. We really can't make a classical generalization that no one makes a headway in trading because of few failed traders around us.
7080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Altcoin Wallet For Mobile With Multicurrency Support on: March 11, 2018, 12:03:10 PM
You are right. I give the trophy to Coinomi but Freewallet is also good. While Coinomi does the same thing a MEW wallet does with erc20 enablement and still maintains a list of the regular coins, Freewallet does not list tokens. That's the beat there.

Coinomi was one of the first multiasset wallets, 4 years before Eidoo, and has been battle tested since. Our ETH dApps support was added in 2015.. Smiley
Eidoo does not have the advantage of Coinomi for it lists only Ether blockchain tokens.
