7121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You've earned tons of tokens, NOW WHAT? on: January 30, 2019, 06:14:23 AM

I hold all my tokens because I choose promising projects that will eventually develop and bring good profits from the rapid growth of coins. Just need to be patient.

How many of them are listed on the exchanges though? I think out of the tens I have, less than 5 managed to make it.
7122  Other / Meta / Re: Why I think Copper Membership is a must buy on: January 30, 2019, 06:08:20 AM
Arguments aside, I'd say Copper Membership is a way to support the forums beside the ads in place, just that if only the name could be of something nicer (e.g. Silver).

At a glance, it looked legit until I checked the profile and oh, a spambot.

I don't understand, how did it look legit when the reply was off topic and contains a link promoting and exchange? Anyways the user just help me increase my good reports counts and maybe I could own that Reporters badge if implemented.

You quoted the wrong guy, haha.

Nowadays spambots are pretty sophisticated so their messages try to "fit" into topics, but you can somehow feel something's off after a double take.

The same message was posted in several topics, one which was related to an exchange so yeah. Anyways, we did our part in reporting and now they're nuked.
7124  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Suggestions to grow my Bitcoin on: January 30, 2019, 05:24:45 AM

Poloniex is a nice exchange, but either a lot of people have figured out that lending is nice profit, or the bear trend has caused many to just hodl.

https://poloniex.com/lending#BTC

The rates are atrocious, constantly less than 0.006%, so for a 100 btc you make 0.006 btc in profits.... It's really way too competitive for a decent profit, and in case someone gets burned through his margin position, you're not going to get your profits and your original sum is going to get returned forcefully.

To OP, it's hard to make money from money if you don't have a lot of it. Try finding a source of income that doesn't put your existing small capital at risk.

0.006 from 100 BTC is definitely peanuts. Plus the reviews are off-putting enough.

And I agree that more money helps make more money, but honestly speaking I'm just using some spare change (interest) to gamble on some websites and just cashout in BTC once I've reached the minimum threshold, hence the thread.

Fret not, I do have my steady source of income and am just looking for opinions.

SOLUTION: Thanks all for the opinions. Just to take the safe route, I'll place my BTC in FBC to earn interest, slowly grow them in casinos and a signature campaign.
7125  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Suggestions to grow my Bitcoin on: January 30, 2019, 03:54:14 AM

Lending is good, but I won’t really recommend as you have not tried that. I think you should go for something else which is not at all in your list.

Instead of looking for making your bitcoins to grow, why not buy some bitcoins from your other resources, now that the price is down and then store them in a wallet till the bull run comes and the value will increase. Long term trade is the best and easiest way for you to make money through cryptocurrency, since there have been a lot of predictions that the price of Bitcoin will go up. So just go for that. Or maybe you can try other stuffs, cause there are plenty stuffs for you try and don’t look for quick money or else you might lose.

Please do not forget, bitcoin itself a safer and ever growing investment. When we do not have enough options for growing bitcoins, I believe we must focus on getting bitcoins from other resources so that we may have decent amount of bitcoins well before another bull run.

Actually I do have a portfolio of altcoins, just that they have lost over 80% of the value since last year's massive correction. With limited funds and waiting for the next bull run, I'm now trying to park them without touching them too much.

I acquired my current Bitcoins from selling some stuffs but I also have to reserve fiat funds for my daily and monthly commitments.

You've been warned beforehand, no collateral loans are the riskiest ones of them all.

also i am wondering, wtf is wrong with those 5% who did not complain about the crushed burger ?

The realistic view is, is it worth my energy to complain about this burger or they didn't look.

That said I have heard many stories about the same thing happening in China where people die and are ignored.

It's called the Bystander effect individuals are less likely to offer help to a victim when other people are present. The greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is that one of them will help.

For example once I had a person beside me at a crosswalk pretty much having a stroke but they didn't want the ambulance so I tried to get them to cross the street to the LRT station where the security could take care of it.

Was not successful however since I started helping the person, other people appeared and the person was helped and an ambulance was called.
Point is that unless someone starts the action no one will interfere since they are scared that by rebelling and helping they will be the ones who will be harmed next or that someone else will do the task.

It's a little hard to justify not lending a hand, but things over there are pretty messed up since there's no law to protect good Samaritans or bystanders.

The "victims" might blame you or even sue you instead! Here's an article on one

Personally, I already added that guy into my Ignore list immediately after seeing that post.
However, the first time saw that post, it was very annoying.

At a glance, it looked legit until I checked the profile and oh, a spambot.
7131  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Suggestions to grow my Bitcoin on: January 29, 2019, 01:30:46 PM
Don't you consider to trade? it's also risky but if those are your only options, go with the low risk type of investment with your choice.

Don't worry, I'll definitely request for an escrow because of the status. Smiley
If you're going to get an escrow, you should have one rule that the borrower shall shoulder the escrow fee. But if you are too generous enough you can deduct that to the interest and cater it for your borrower.

I've thought of that before, but it's too much of a hassle since I have to keep track of the prices as well as compete with other sellers. It's on a p2p platform by the way.

Plus, I'm working full-time so jostling just to be the featured seller isn't too convenient.
7132  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ClaimBitcoinNetwork - Deceptive BTC Faucet Developer with GUARANTEED bans on: January 29, 2019, 12:15:16 PM
I'm surprised that there are scam faucets when the payout is very small and you will have to work for a long period of time, thank for posting this for newbies I'm not into any faucets anymore, it's newbie stuffs or those who just want to start in cryptocurrency.

I understand if many find faucets a waste of time, but you'd be surprised how tightfisted some people can be!

Simply the best faucet ever. But don't play HI-LO with Martingale. Take a patience and you will get the lambo on the moon  Grin

I've yet to secure a car, let alone a Lambo Grin
7134  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Suggestions to grow my Bitcoin on: January 29, 2019, 09:31:53 AM

I think that there is another exchange where you can do that, but unfortunately I don't know which.

Imho the lending subforum is the most risky. There are a lot of people asking for money, but there are already many that want to lend.
And many want to scam. From providing collateral they can steal from you to collateral they've already gave to others too, from not giving back the money on time to neg you if you sold the collateral.
Also you are "only" Member and some would think that because you are "only" member maybe you cannot be trusted to hold the collateral.

Maybe it's just my distrust in people and maybe I'm too negativistic, so you better ask for others' opinion.

You got a point. Lots of complications if I have to handle accounts and possibly lengthy loans so I'll avoid it for now.

Don't worry, I'll definitely request for an escrow because of the status. Smiley

I think I might have found it, BitBond. Could give it a shot!

Thanks for the hardwork man, this will look them scam now and it has proven out doubt from the very beginning.
I wish OP would explain this, but whatever the explanation, it's pretty obvious that he just copied it to one of the popular gambling sites in crypto.
I see their future very dim now, hope everyone who were playing would take a look at this.

OP never replied ever since he posted this thread, although he's last seen today.
7136  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Suggestions to grow my Bitcoin on: January 29, 2019, 08:29:45 AM

I think that one option you have is lending at Poloniex or such. Maybe the income is not that big and probably you need to get KYC with Poloniex, but the chances you get screwed are much smaller.
I am saying about Poloniex because I did some lending there a couple of years ago and it was ok back then. I don't know how is it now.

Hey, thanks for your input.

I looked up Poloniex and reviews seemed to be a mixed bag; particularly fees and interest rates. Like you said, lots of things might have changed by now. Source

Quote
This is a must read for bitcoin users. Poloniex allows you to lend bitcoins to others trading on margin. In theory, Poloniex will try to protect you from losses by forcing a person to liquidate if they're taking a beating.

This is not true.

I've tested lending one bitcoin over the last two weeks. That one bitcoin has gone from one bitcoin to .81 bitcoins now. That's a two week loss of 0.19 bitcoins. If I kept lending for a full year, I would have 0 remaining of the bitcoin at that rate.

Interest rates must reflect the risk associated with lending and Poloniex's users don't seem to get this. In addition, due to these losses and how quickly they've piled up, Poloniex needs to re-evaluate cutting a margin traders losses much earlier. Make no mistake: Poloniex still gets their fee, while I got the loss.

It was a good experiment, but DO NOT lend bitcoins on Poloniex. The interest rates do not reflect the risk. In order to offset losses, interest rates should be over 150%.

Spread this to anyone considering lending their bitcoins - they will lose in time.

Guys, the purpose of this is to warn new people who make think that lending on Poloniex is 100% safe. Based on my experience, it's not. Whether you agree or disagree, I think we all agree that if we have a bad experience we should caution new users on this. I don't want new people to lose bitcoins, like I did, when they think something is guaranteed, but it's not. Also, this is not FUD because this says nothing about the value of bitcoin; this is about Poloniex. Stop with the "this is a FUD post" - no it's not a FUD post because bitcoin is strong and awesome.

What do you reckon of the Lending subforum here?
7137  Economy / Marketplace / [SOLVED] Suggestions to grow my Bitcoin on: January 29, 2019, 08:08:48 AM
I have roughly 0.15 BTC. What do you guys recommend for me to invest in? So far I've considered these options:

  • Freebitcoin's 5% per annum - Roughly 1.7K sats daily
  • Casino bankrolls - Very slow, often seeing negative profit everyday
  • Lending - Haven't tried this so far

If I posted this in the wrong section, let me know and I'll close it.
7138  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ClaimBitcoinNetwork - Deceptive BTC Faucet Developer with GUARANTEED bans on: January 29, 2019, 07:47:33 AM
I'm surprised that they are this cheap - the time that they took to actually respond to your emails in such depth is probably worth much more than the 40k satoshis that you are requesting here.

I don't think that it's a good idea at all to faucet due to the lack of rewards for your time, but if you do, Google Play is a terrible way to start. The faucet ads on there usually target newbies, and since they hold all of your funds, it is entirely up to them to pay you out and there is no third party to keep them honest.

If you do want to continue to use these faucets, make sure that you are doing so through a legitimate third party micropayment processor. The one that I heard about a while back was faucethub, though I'm not entirely sure whether they are still up and running. By using official faucet lists from these sites you significantly reduce the risk of getting scammed (still not 100% foolproof, though).

IKR, they even have the audacity to respond to the reviews (enjoy your popcorn while reading). I'm actually wondering what's Google doing to handle this since they're still up even after flagging them.

I'm aware that faucets are pretty much a waste of time, but being employed means I'm pretty much restricted to faucets since I'm often using my cellphone and therefore, other options such as bounty and GPT are not viable. In addition, I'm looking forward to joining a signature campaign but slots are very limited and don't favor Members much.

Regarding your statement on the Play faucets, doesn't the same thing apply to web ones too? The owner(s) could still choose to pay or not, and unlike websites, at least the apps could be removed by Google.

Faucethub is still running as I just accessed it recently. No worries though, I rotate between my small list of faucets (FBC, Cointiply, etc...) which have paid me at least once. Not keen on having too many Smiley
7139  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: January 29, 2019, 05:57:32 AM
Hey guys! I've just come here to share what I have learned on how you can achieved a certain amount in faucet on a short time. I recently asked here on what will be the shortest period on this faucet to make a withdrawal request and some already said that it might take me some month/s.

But now here I am, within just 3 days of playing the faucet together with the MULTIPLY, I just simply have 1/3of the minimum withdrawal amount, and if this continues, how much would I earn in just a month?

So here is the thing:
1. Make a free roll
2. After that, go to MULTIPLY and set your bet into 10 satoshis.
3. AIM for HI (Just HI only)
4. If you win, stop right there and wait for an hour for a free roll then do it again.
If you didn't win, simply press x2, until you win back. Then stop if you win, wait for the next free roll and bet again.
5. If you already reached 500sats make your bet in 50sats. Always make a bet of 5-10% of your total satoshis.

On my observation the odds on betting on HI has the higher chance of winning rather than betting on LO.

I will, bring some news after I reached the minimum withdrawal Smiley as of now I have 10,086 SATOSHIS.

That's one interesting strat! I tried once and it worked, but I wonder how long would this work with Martingale? I've seen up to 5 LOs and HIs at a time before so such a streak might wipe out the balance before one know's it.
