7121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Huobi vs BNB on: March 22, 2019, 01:26:46 PM
I think BNB is miles ahead on Huobi token. Actually last year I invested on some coin which I thought could be the next BNB, unfortunately, it wasn't as predicted. My point is, BNB is already leading the way and there are so much development going from behind that anyone who wish to compete with them will be having a hard time unless they offered something very unique that the investors will instantly bite. But so far we haven't seen anything as of yet. Let's see what Huobi is up to, it's going to be a difficult road for them, but who knows. But personally, I think BNB just set the bar high that it's going to be hard to catch them.
7122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 22, 2019, 01:19:30 PM
Ok, I checked the schedule in the men's side and there are a lot of known names who is going to play, it's round of 64 already so the fun has started.

Djokovic vs Tomic
Federer vs Albot
Zverez vs Ferrer (this could be a great match)
Thiem vs Hurkacz (another match to watch)
Tsitsipas vs M. McDonald

Interesting note on the women's side: Naomi Osaka, eldest sister Mari, will be playing in this tournament. Unfortunately, she lost against a 16th year old Whitney Osuigwe, 6-2, 6-4.
7123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we are the beginning of a new bullrun? on: March 22, 2019, 01:06:32 PM
There's some eerie similarity on the patterns, but as the saying goes around this community, "past performance is not a indication of future success". So as much as we are all tired of this bearish trend for more than a year now, it doesn't mean that we are entering a bullish trend just because of those similarities. And remember that crypto or bitcoin is still young, we really don't have a big sample data to really compare and make a conclusion. Let's just wait, if a bull run happen then good, but if not then we need to continue to grind everything and hope that everything will change in the next couple of months.
7124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest any time? on: March 22, 2019, 12:55:54 PM
The scenario you just laid out is for short term outlook only. Of course the first lesson is invest what you can afford to lose so that you won't be bothered by the price fluctuations and definitely go for the long haul. Nothing beats a good long term holder specially in you wanted to enter the market specially Bitcoin. If you wanted to do short then go for altcoins, as @Lucius has pointed out and you can make a good profit if you catch those altcoins who is about to get pump.
7125  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-03-19] Crypto Exchange Bithumb to Reduce Staff By Up to 50% on: March 22, 2019, 04:38:29 AM
Bitmain started to reduced it's employees last year, so just a matter of time before everything connected to crypto, especially exchanges will do the same thing. Those are business decisions, and they can't do anything about it because the market went into a bearish trend and up to this day, there are no signs of the market at least recovering. I just do hope that reducing staff won't affect their services and the performance of their exchange. But I wouldn't be surprised if lots of thread are going to pop-up again and complain about their shitty support,  Grin.
7126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 22, 2019, 04:07:00 AM
I guess its up to people on what matches they like to bet on however I don't understand why people bet on these tournaments. I know the odds can be enticing but its just too risky in my opinion. Yes we can say this for all sports however I think its best to bet in Grand Slam tournaments as there seems to be less upsets then any of the other tournaments.

Correct, it's really up to the person on what matches he/she would like to bet, specially if the odd are that great. I guess this kind of tournaments is also good to gauge your analysis to an extend, but obviously upsets to happen in small tournaments.

@Royse777 - please continue to place your bets here, there's nothing wrong with it, as I have said, it's depends on the individual, whether to tail you or not.
7127  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Save The World! Donate BTC Today! www.msmmoorefoundation.org on: March 21, 2019, 02:49:26 PM
LOL, a newbie asking for a donation, first read flag, and then someone reported that the websites is malicious, another red flag. Sorry OP, we don't know what is your 'real intention' though. But for me it looks like you are somewhat 'masking' and hiding behind those so called donations, but it seems you are intending to do harm here. And for others, be careful and not just click any link here in the community.
7128  Economy / Speculation / Re: 'Bitcoin will run up to $5,000 by May' on: March 21, 2019, 02:39:31 PM
I know its a little bit exciting see crypto market going up but it only be triggered when we all are helping to achieve of what we aim for. But we can't deny how dumpers affect its trend and creating a bending price cause some declines anytime.
Are we in looking for $5k? Not only for $5k but we want more. Just to look optimistic and hopefully it will be given to us.

I guess $5000 is a realistic goal at this time. We have achieved to break the $4000 barrier and obviously we need more leg up and push the price to $5000. So for now, that target is doable specially if there are enough momentum leading to May. And then once this price is touch, then we can talk what could be the next target or resistance. So need a slow but steady climb, we don't want that sudden burst and then followed by a massive drop. $5000 in the next two months and then by second half of the year maybe we can get to $6000, who knows.
7129  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-03-19]Bitcoin Maniac Andrew Yang Eyes 2020 U.S Presidential Seat on: March 21, 2019, 02:26:41 PM
LOL, what a click-bait. Anyways, When Trump takes the Office, he surrounded himself with pro-crypto if I'm not mistaken, but it didn't influenced the way bitcoin or crypto in the years that Trump becames President. So I don't know if this will bring positive outcome if he successfully became the new President of United States. And before we forgot John Mcafee is also running as reported so that it mean a win-win situation for crypto enthusiast already?  Grin
7130  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: KuCoin upgrade on: March 21, 2019, 02:02:50 PM
I already checked Kucoin Shares chart and it seems it's making a rally after the upgrade. The graph is going upward, a good indication that investors like the new changes. So let's see, we all know that both Binance and Kucoin coins are somewhat in a competition so let's see how it goes. Better to join the hype as both of the coins are also going strong in the last couple of days.

But still, it's not a true indication of how trusted a exchange it. I advised you to read reports about the plight of our exchanges right now: (https://www.blockchaintransparency.org/december-2018-rankings).  Kucoin is ranked 13th in the list, so it's not that bad. However, the problem with most exchanges is security and not the it's features. And no, I'm not joining the hype, sorry to burst the bubble.
7131  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: An advanced cryptocurrency exchange to bridge the buyer and seller gap on: March 21, 2019, 01:45:12 PM
Can you let us know if you have deployed any exchanges in the cryptosphere? I would understand if you don't want to tell us your clients though. What are your thoughts about the recent event surrounding
Quadrigacx drama? How secure is your exchanges that is goes live? We all know that hackers are like one step of the time, do you also give support in case something happened to the exchange that you have developed and possibility turn over everything to the client?
7132  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin ETF: SEC Receives 84% Negative Feedback on Application on: March 21, 2019, 01:35:29 PM
Meh, I just grew tired of waiting for this so called Bitcoin ETF's, however, I was quite surprised to see that it got 84% negative feedback on the application. I see someone trying to play mind games again, it could have been manipulated for all we know. However, as I have said, the excitement from all of this has waned out, so I don't know if people are still expecting a possible ETF's as it looks like SEC will not approved at this point with the same reasons as the previous rejected applications, - market is prone to manipulation.
7133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIT COINS WILL ALWAYS DISAPPOINT on: March 21, 2019, 01:25:11 PM
At least you learn your lessons here, might be expensive one though. At this worsening market conditions, its hard for shitcoins to survived. They can only stay if they been pump-and-dump otherwise they don't have any value at all. And once they have been listed, well, expect a massive dump and obviously, if you're late then all your investments will loss or have incurred a big loss already that you regret investing on them. I'm sure you will slowly became a Bitcoin purist,  Grin, not a bad thing though.
7134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Breakout Scheduled for August, Says Fundstrat’s Tom Lee on: March 21, 2019, 01:15:59 PM
at least now his predictions are starting to make more sense compared to what he kept insisting on last year with new ATH and stuff like that!
the biggest problem that bitcoin is currently facing for its rise is the damage that was inflicted on the investors' confidence because the latest drop that we had (going below $6k) was considered purely manipulative and due to BCash FUD and other kind of attacks on the market value. and to get out of this kind of lack of confidence we first need to see some rises and some time for accumulation. and that is what has been happening these days. if it is kept up we can see $6k within 1-2 months.

Exactly, Tom's prediction last year was very disastrous to his reputation, and he keep on singing the same tune when everyone, even just a casual traders knows exactly what's going on to the market at that time. At least today, or for this year, he learn from his past mistakes and his prediction seems to be achievable at least this year. I don't know how Fundstat and his clients are doing, and I do hope that his clients are still with him eventhough we're still in the bearish cycle.
7135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 21, 2019, 05:21:27 AM
I am waiting for three matches which I am going to place a three fold.

Albot R. vs Krueger M.: Albot
Auger-Aliassime F. vs Lorenzi P. : Auger-Aliassime
McDonald M. vs Sonego L. : McDonald

What do you guys think?

Edit:
15:40
Come on McDonald. He just broke the 7th game of 2nd set after losing his first serve of the 2nd set (2nd game). Now he is going to serve. Hope he equalize. First set was unfortunate for him
I guess McDonald was a risky pick considering the recent form of both players. On the paper McDonald should definitely outclass Sonego but seems like Sonego is playing some better tennis right now since I'm last tournament he beat players like Chardy J. or Harisson R. Thats why I don't like to place bets in early rounds of big tournaments, especially in qualifying rounds. A lot of surprises appear there. Congrats for the other two picks.

Correct, but in any case, I will also pick McDonald here, but I guess Sonego has other plans. Of course, this qualifying round will produce a lot of surprises so it's hard to put a bet and I usually pass on it. But knowing @Royse777, he really loves to bet on tennis game so goodluck on the next round.  Grin
7136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Mikey Garcia vs Errol Spence on: March 21, 2019, 05:11:31 AM
..he only has few fights left maybe 2 more fights and he can fight once or twice a year because of his being a Senator so let's hope it will happen.

Not because of being a Senator.

That 2 or let's say 3 more fights is the maximum numbers given by his team.

Back to Spence, I found it disrespectful calling a fight on a Big Name Legend that is closed to retirement while he is on peak.

He just let instead those "individuals" around him makes an attention to Manny for him to be the priority as the legend's next opponent.

I agree. Spence said that he will give Pacquaio the retirement money he needed, LOL. We all know what happened to guys who trash-talked Manny.  Grin. I'm sure 60%-70%, we will gonna see this fight next, it's more competitive and Spence will be on a rude awakening and will regret everything he says against Manny.
7137  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Mark Karpelès : Bitcoin Embezzlement Verdict on Friday on: March 20, 2019, 03:58:33 PM
Btw, anyone saw the news of Brock Pierce wanting to resurrect MtGox? my popcorn is ready, MtGox saga continues.
The worst part isn't so much that whatever entity is trying to resurrect MtGox, but the potentially tens of thousands of traders that will be using it. People here never learn of anything about past hacks and thefts.

And that is the cue there as to why Brock wanted to resurrect Mt. Gox, because they can still make money out of those noobs investors are traders. I also wonder why would have happened if Brock was able to acquire Mt. Gox prior, went it is still functional. Would this whole drama could have been avoided? I remember there was an attempt on his part back then in 2013-2014 to get it from Mark but was not successful.
7138  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Birds by Bitcoin on: March 20, 2019, 03:01:09 PM
you might want to try your luck with bounty hunting, though most of them won't give you enough amount for months of work. as an alternative, work as a freelancer and get paid with bitcoin, or apply for signature campaign if you have enough rank.

whatever you choose, just don't expect too much to avoid too much stress.

I don't know about bounty hunting though, the OP is still a newbie and I'm not sure if newbies are still accepted in bounties, maybe you can try, there's no harm in trying so visit this board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0).
A lot of twitter campaigns can be found there but most likely few are going to give the rewards through the tokens that they promised. As suggested with signature campaigns, I'll add that he can purchase Copper Membership and be eligible to wear signature of a Member rank.

@OP as said by TryNinja, just let it pass and look for some other things that you can be productive with.

Right, probably purchasing a copper membership will do the trick. However, I think joining bounties is not worth. Joining bounties is like gambling right now, you really don't know which project will succeed and we all know that with the market conditions today, majority of projects might not even get to their soft cap target so obviously the OP or the bounty participants will not be paid. So that is the risk that the OP has to take if he decided to join bounties.
7139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Volume on: March 20, 2019, 02:51:35 PM
Exchanges have been faking volume, this is a known fact.  Even coinmarketcap isn't right so no one can really get an accurate reading on the real volume.  This is why you should never trust shitcoins that appear to be liquid when in reality they have no true volume to support sell orders.

Right, even cmc is not to be trusted with their data, IMHO. It has been proven as well that they just listed some shitcoins and then the numbers are going to be different. Coinbene is really f***ing everyone with there volumes, LOL. If you have been in this market for so long by now, it's pretty obvious that it's all fake. But it's just sad to see a complete noob entering and have been swayed by this "magically numbers", and think that everything is real as it's get. It's going to be a expensive lessons for them to learn.
7140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Without Using Indicators on: March 20, 2019, 02:37:15 PM
Most of the day traders are doing this. Smiley

Just buying and selling crypto currencies with the intention of making money but not always this will work since we just believe on our luck.

Nah, I wouldn't go that strategy. Just buying and then off-loading them later? What if the coins they bought didn't have a good pump? Then they are already in the loss. That's not how a trading should look at. Of course they can trade without indications but it's not a good practice. It's like listening to troll box and just believing every word those speculators are saying. If you are not ready for trading here, then stop and study and learn first, otherwise you will just be swept by a lot of speculators and FUD going around and it will result to a massive lost on your end.
