This is my method : 1 make a coin 2 make a game 3 make profit The two first steeps are indeed difficulthttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1051731.0Ultracheap now long term holding With the rate of shitcoins being pumped out lately, its hard to find a good trait that can be promoted. With 0 innovation you can be sure that your coin wont last long. I`m sure there are like 500 new coins /day at the moment i am not sure the number of new coins created every day is as high as 500 per day but i wouldn't be surprised even if it were near that number. i have even seen Newbie- friendly- walk- throughs for creating your own shit coin. i mean it is getting easier every day to scam people!

Thank you all! I will most likely be using BC then. Sounds pretty safe and anonymous. I will look into those other websites for another wallet.
Here is a full list of wallets out there : https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet For Desktop wallets I'd suggest : Bitcoin Core , Electrum , Multibit HD for Android : Mycelium for iOS : I'am not sure because I'am speaking for an experience and I never tested wallets on iOS device . Stay away from Web wallets because they are the less safe . the safer are Paper wallet (free) and Hardware wallet which will cost your money . Paper wallet are mostly for receiving and not for sending because it will be a simple paper printed where there is Public adress + private key . I checked both of these: "Bitcoin Core , Electrum" The first wants to download 20GB of data into my computer. The second also seems to be some kind of software installation. I just want to send some money to someone. That is all I want to do. I can install software if thats what I have to do. But I thought I could send people money using a website that asks for my bank account/credit card like Paypal. That is fine with me. What website should I use? I can use multiple websites if needed. i think coinbase is going to be the easiest choice for you since you just want to buy bitcoin and send it to someone. also if the amount is not so much you can trust an online wallet like coinbase.

Hi, I'm new here. What is a good wallet?
i would suggest bitcoin core or armory if you can download the big size of them (40GB) but if you want and SPV wallet i suggest using Electrum.

as long as they have access to their wallet or those bitcoin addresse's private keys the dust is there maybe they can use it in a pool of other addresses to sweep them . but they dont care about those amounts since they are earning a lot more it is not even seen.

My last purchase is windows 8 key Bought it from this forum was the keys legit. i mean , i have heard that some of them might be bought with stolen credit cards and when Microsoft finds out about them in a couple of weeks they will be disabled. A box of condoms, 2 pair of edible panties, a large bottle of chocolate syrup and whip cream.
what are your plans ^.^

I recommend Trading altcoins, but trading is very risky in general. There are more people who have lost money in pump and dump schemes, than those who have actually made money.
Then you should not to recommend this thing which your words sounds like uncertainty to grow our bitcoin. Actually we could learn the skill of altcoin trading, and its safer than gambling that only depends on luck imo. Some Time I feel gambling and alt coin trading is same because many pump and dump schemes shock investors I also have some bad loses in last few days on Cryptsy just because of this suspicious pump and dump yeah i sometimes have the same feeling about trading altcoins too. i think it is because of all the mini whales who can easily manipulate the market and pump and dump the hell out of an altcoin. and also predicting this crazy market is hard because it is not following conventional rules.

i was thinking about that for a while, Core can come with a login and password instead of creating a passphrase for your wallet plus 2fa google authenticator
so in the event that your computer is compromised you still have the google protection
I think this feature is already available in electrum. but, it's only for 2 of 3 multi-sig addresses & we need always depend on trusted coin to make a transaction. And also we have to pay an extra fee for trust coin service. Do you know any glitch of this 2fa service of electrum ? i don't use electrum or any other spv, and i'm doing it right seeing how the last issue of invalid block was affecting most those clients, it's the reason why i want it on core now that i think of multisig, the procedure to create one, should be made more simple and clear for newbies, without the need to go in the console, there should be a one click button i think if the electrum server that you are connected to had bitcoin-core version 10 and up there was no problem. right? and as for core, people like me who don't want to download around 40 GB of data and save it on their computer have no choice but use SPV wallets creating multisig with Electrum has clear explanation with pictures in it's wiki. i guess it is enough.

Bitcoin has no consumer protection, eBay and Paypal are very big on consumer protection, it makes sence sellers cannot use bitcoin as a payment method on their platform. They also do not permit cash and a bunch of other payment methods, this isn't something new... http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/accepted-payments-policy.htmlYes and if ever the time comes that they'll start to accept bitcoin as a form of payment, eBay would be a scammer's paradise. Post fake stuff and takes away that bitcoin unless they offer an escrow-like service to hold the funds. but i guess this can be easily prevented by forcing the sellers to give their information and register properly before doing any business with bitcoin. this way nobody can scam when their identity is known. They can use fake information and forged documents if needed. That's the bad side of accepting bitcoin on sites like these. I've seen scammers on paypal and ebay and I've got scammed on ebay several times and I'm totally over with ebay. with that logic nothing is safe and ebay should stop their service and close down the website. because people can simply create a fake document with fake paypal and scam with fiat and launder the money earned this way to cover their tracks! but i don't see it as a reason not to use bitcoin!!

Yes exactly. Is there a guide available for people that are interested to buy Bitcoin accounts?
there is no guide, you have to be able to recognize scammers on your own although there are some good sticky topics on the matter on related boards it is good to read them Prevention is better than a cure. Please escrow.also you have to ask for signed message from an old known address in addition of using escrow. note: the signed message should include the date the account was bought/sold, and that ownership of the account being traded was passed onto you. this will prevent the seller from trying to claim the account back in the future with a signed message claiming it was "hacked." and also for the bitcoin address you should look for an old topic / reply of that person in which he has posted his bitcoin address. IMPORTANT to pay attention to that post to see if it was not edited, because the scammer can hack an account and edit all the posts with his own address and the post date looks old but was edited. in this forum look at the top of the post (the date and time of the post) if it is edited then there will be a line under the date and time (underlined text) and if you move your mouse over it, it would show you the time of the edit.

the recipient can not know your identity as long as you have not any record with the bitcoin address that you are sending with. for example the users of this forum have their bitcoin address on their profile so if we send someone bitcoin with our address the recipient can google the address and get our profile that way. other than that your identity is known to the place that you bought bitcoin from, if it was an exchanger and you have bought with credit card for example.

so i've heard that the chinese were the culprit of this, they stopped performing their infamous attack, and have taken profit by abusing of the fees?
or it was a real test that lasted so long? which seems really strange to me
and what is the conclusion of this? are we going to increase the TX limit in the future as a planned?
i don't think it was a test. not in a conventional way. it seemed to me more like proving a point, maybe the group behind it was trying to force increasing fees, or some say the block size. did anybody take responsibility for the test/spams yet?

i personally don't like BTC-e for my trades , it is partly because of its looks which i am not comfortable with. and also partly because i have heard a lot of complains about long withdrawals, hacked accounts, bad support , ....
nowadays i prefer using bittrex and sometimes cryptsy for some coins that are not on bittrex.

What do you think the price will be in 5 months? and why ?
i think if the steady growth of bitcoin price continues as it is like now it can be over $400 by 5 months and i don't think it can be anything lower than $300. but at the same time there is always the possibility of price going to an all time highs especially because of the 2016 block halving.

My friend recently had his coins stolen on BFX. Given how it happened hackers can apparently drain your account with as little as control of your email.
sorry to hear that. 1. He had 2FA enabled 2. The ONLY thing the hackers needed was control of the email.
how did they log-in his account since it needs 2FA to log-in? Presumably they started by gaining access to the email, searched that he had received emails from BFX before, reset his pw, then gained control of his account. Because he had 2FA enabled, they used a trading algo to make the worst trades possible matched up with their own personal account at BFX until all the coins were drained. For example they would trade BTC --> DRK and then trade the DRK --> BTC back at a slightly worse price matched with their own algo and doing thousands of trades until all the money is gone.
how long did this thousands of trades take that he didn't realize his account was compromised Bitfinex has REFUSED TO REFUND his coins. So they are setting precedent that they will REFUSE TO REFUND YOUR COINS AS WELL. I would suggest staying away from them and say that this is one reason bitcoins will never ever become mainstream.
it is a very well known fact that you should never keep your coins at any exchanger. there has been a lot of hacks, alleged hacks, and scams that makes everybody think twice before considering keeping the coins at an exchanger.

the greeks didn't have that much of an effect on bitcoin price as i expected in the first place.
so i don't think they are going to have any other significant effect in the future either. no matter if they are doing a silent exit or enter!

2000 USD in 2015?
I'm a long term HODLER & about as bullish as it gets (without being deluded) but 2000 USD per coin is not happening in 2015, no way. Unless a number of huge corporations/organisations/companies start using bitcoin or integrating it into their payment systems then 2000 USD per bitcoin is not happening.
I think we could reach around 700 USD per coin as a result of next years halving but 2000 USD per coin is not happening for a while.
i agree, $2000 within year 2015 seems a large target to reach. i there is to be a rise it think $1000 and sub 1000 is way more realistic than $2000. especially that a lot of long term holders would sell their coins way before $1000 which won't let the price go that high. i guess if it were to go to those heights the time-frame of mid 2016 would be more possible especially because of the block reward halving.

i think they will come around eventually, but it needs much longer time and a lot more mass adoption. now it is simply not enough people showing interest in using bitcoin in comparison to people wanting to use paypal and similar services. on the other hand they want to secure their earnings via paypal and don't lose their step there.
