Awwww... you rich guys and your angry brains just don't understand it's a win-win-win-win for these guys to post in broken English.

Sir, I am by no means rich.  Angry yes, but getting paid to shit all over the place to be for bitcoin enthusiasts can't be justified.   I'm sorry,  you know these fuckers wouldn't be posting on any English language forum if they weren't getting paid.  And I highly doubt they're feeding themselves with sig earnings.   Gambling is more like it, and then they come on here to ask for loans and all that other BS.  Does that sound about right?

 That sounds spot on Wink

7163  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: difficulty finally dropping like expected- dramatically. on: July 24, 2016, 07:24:18 PM
It doesn't make sense that miners are shutting down now.  Before the block reward halving, KNCminer reprted they would have to declare bankruptcy due to their electricity costs.  At a time when Bitcoin was worth ~$480, they claimed their cost per Bitcoin was $440 (this is from memory, it might have been slightly more or less) and their electricity costs were $0.196 per kWhr.  I did some math and it turns out that about $200 of that cost per Bitcoin was electricity.  Difficulty has not increased significantly since their announcement so after the halving, the cost per coin for electricity would be ~ $400 and the total cost per coin ~ $640.  Bitcoin is still worth more than that.  Also, KNC would have been the most expensive miner out there with the cost of living in Sweden and the electricity costs considered not to mention their taxes are through the roof.  Consider also this:

422107 (Main Chain) 2016-07-24 16:59:14 KnCMiner  000000000000000001b63fcce1fa4b54bdf35971ac553ed7d50f97777d2963fc

Who is shutting down!?  I say it's just an anomaly and is simply an extended bout of bad luck that is indicating an apparent decline in hash rate even though all the equipment is still mining.  I don't believe it is caused by miners shutting down (at least not yet).

Guys, I got a few of those GPU shirts in the mail.  For the wife and me !!!!   Awsome shirts. Too bad I ordered them before my wallet was compromised and that QR code is to that wallet !!! None the less, walking advertising.  Nice shirts, Im impressed with the quality.  Thumbs up.

Can someone quote this, I'm just a noob who must wait 360 seconds between posts, and aparently my IMG links don't work.

Nice looking shirts Wink  I'm going to have to get one.
As an aside, maybe you should get a black fabric marker and add a couple extra bits to the QR code just in case anyone ever tries to use it.
Sharpie® makes them and they are available at walmart
Personally I would prefer to shop elsewhere and there is an awesome store in the big smoke called Above Ground Art supplies; the have a myriad of options for fabric markers/paints
Above Ground Art Supplies fabric paints
Make a little square stencil of the appropriate size and use the Tee Juice™ medium point (1.2mm) or even better the broad point (12mm) marker to make it look professional.

Are you dreaming or what, you intend to send men to space and the world beyond with just $100,000?

Not men.  Digital representations of men on chips inside tiny solar powered disks littering the cosmos.

It's a sleeper account.  Someday, russian governement will activate it to spam the hell out of bitcointalk forum using the most obtrusive signature ever.  We will rue the day.
7170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Advice needed] Account balance was reset to zero without notice on: July 23, 2016, 12:50:58 PM
Does anyone have any reading comprehension skills on this board?  OP did not risk $370k!  Op never specified hs initial deposit; merely his first successful withdrawal of $500 and his subsequent attempts.
If OP would share the inital deposit amount, we would know how much of his own money he actually lost, if any.  The $370k was obtained using an exploit; I doubt this exchange ever had so much money go through it.

I can also confirm its mr White

Just got a question to the other holders..
A coin dev without coins cant be a very happy dev.
Maybe some of the holders should consider a donation?
We all know this coin is going somewhere Smiley

What about using the hard fork technique employed by Etherum devs for the the DOA conflict resolution.  I'm not saying I agree with what was done but if it could be done in such a way that only the transactions containing the stolen 1.8 million coins could be wiped, it would appear seamless.

What percentage of the total supply does 1.8 million coins represent?

edit: fixed spelling

BCT staff have removed the malicious links and locked my old account until I can satisfy them it's me.

Apparently this stuff happens every day around here...

It does but it is nonetheless worrisome since you are the dev of GPUcoin.
Have you managed to get your own computer secured yet?
Do you fully understand how your personal computer was comprimised?
What steps will you take to ensure this doesn't happen to you again?

Thanks

Good question.

My own computer is shut down.

I understand something was running on my pc that copie wallet.dat files and collected passwords I typed in.  The only things that were affected were things I signed into that evening.. bct, my Gmail and ccex.  Everything else I entered was remember me, auto login I didn't have to type anything it was unaffected.  I have set up 2fa and no more remember me

I bet the fact I was so open with remember me on my pc saved alot of trouble.

I'm not at liberty to divulge the security practices of gpu coin in detail.  But there are major changes already happening and in the works over the next couple days.  I can share with you the following.

Cloud fare and advanced hack alert/malware monitoring has been implimented for www.usedgpus.Com

2fa has been activated everywhere possible

2fa is coming to usedgpus.Com

I need a computer for 4 main purposes.  GPU coin, my business, personal use and the kids.

I have bought 2 new computers and another Internet connection.  The new pc are Linux based.  Everything will be compartmentalized.  I will not use the gpu computer for personal use.  I will not use the business computer for gpu coin, whichever way you spin it my business and gpu coin will be on their own PC on a separate network from personal and kids

These computers will only be running when I directly need to use them, not from my home network.

The wallet links, source, and android/IOS files will be hosted by www.usedgpus.com.  the links will be locked in an in editable thread.

I will change the ANNs to exclude links.  The only link will be to www.usedgpus.com

I will only compile wallets from source on my personal pc or mine directly from pool to exchange.

This has been a real eye opener.  Thank god it wasn't my online banking for personal or business.  Thank god they didn't steal all my porn o those funny pictures of my wife flashing her tits....

I would like to thank the hacker who reads this and who has most likely posted in the thread.  It cost me only 1.1 million gpu for a hardcore lesson in security.

Fool me once shame on you.  Fool me twice.... shame on me.

Thanks for the detailed reply.  I am by no means a security expert but it sounds like you're covering your bases.

7173  Local / Minerit / Re: Sursa Single Rail sau Multi Rail? on: July 23, 2016, 02:32:36 AM
Nu conteaza care alegi.  Sunt amandoua bune cu privire la numerul de rails.
As alege numerul 2 pentru ca este mai eficient si are o capacitate mai mare.

What about the ANNs in other languages?
Have those links been comprised?

Okay I see they are all the same URL but in most, the direct links are broken so the text would have to be copied and pasted.  It might prevent a total newb from getting hacked.

Final Edit:  The links in the other language ANNs point to the original download whereas the link in this thread was changed to point to a different URL containing the malware.  I originally thought the file at mega had been replaced.
This is a bad situation, Dev lost his bitcointalk account, had his personal computer compromised and lost his personal stake in GPUcoin.

7176  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Full TeamViewer Access to a Windows 8.1 PC + internet connection on: July 22, 2016, 02:32:20 AM
This is a bad idea overall because people will do nothing but perform illegal activites on your internet connection.

While I can see your point in reminding Patrick349 that there are bad people on the internet, I resent the implication as I would not perform illegal activites with anyone's internet connection.  We're not all out to take advantage of our fellow computer nerds.

I'm not interested in the internet connection beyond its ability to connect me remotely to the computer.  It would be nice to have some computing power when travelling as a tablet just doesn't cut it sometimes; especially this android tablet that would rather track everything I do and say so it can serve me with ads for products I have not yet realized I need with a good portion of its processing power rather than actually operating efficiently or effectively with tasks I want it to do.

7177  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Government Spending on: July 21, 2016, 11:10:03 PM
Imagine if all that Russian government money spent here on trolling, making jew hating conspiracy posts and other low quality entertainment would have been spent on feeding all the homeless on the Moscow streets?  Smiley

They want vodka!!! (Some have fallen to heroin and end up ruined (like with Vodka)... Vodka is dangerous!!! A better way to not spend ruble would have been not to support Assad and so no need to intervene!

Yes.  That would have resulted in Russia losing their only Mediterranean naval base and allows the US to box them into an ever-shrinking space.  Compared to the USA, vodka is a pussy.

7178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you recieved random BTC, would you return it? on: July 21, 2016, 10:48:23 PM
Let's say you wake up some day and you get like 1 BTC. For me this is a lot. What do you do? You return back the BTC to the owner, do you keep it? and why.

I don't know what I would do to be honest. I mean who knows if the guy that just sent you this is a criminal or a good man? Very tough decision. For someone like me that has a small BTC wallet and is trying to make as much BTC as possible before its too late due price going too high, it would be hard to return it, but I would feel bad to keep it too.

i dont think so ,, if any one was that good and return it to its owner it will be only after investing it and making self profits

Come on.  You can't think ouside of your own tiny box believing that everyone in the world would act as you would.  This is simply not true.  Readers Digest did a "lost wallet" test to check the honesty of people around the world.  Of the 192 wallets "lost"  90 were returned.  This actually requires some detective work and still 47% were returned.

www.rd.com/culture/most-honest-cities-lost-wallet-test

Interesting results.  Mumbai was a big surprise for me.

Hey Guys,

I am selling a Teamviewer access to an Windows 8.1 computer. He is connected to the internet per LAN and can run 24 hours a day. Smiley
I imagined a price about 0.01 BTC but we could talk about the price.

Just fresh installed on the computer is:
-Mozilla Firefox
-Java
-Electrum - Bitcoin Wallet
-and much more...

Thank you,

Patrick Smiley

Are you the owner of this computer?
How long would I get access for 0.01 BTC?

Yes, I am the owner of this computer.
(If you are interested I could show it you later.) Cheesy
First I imagined about 1 day... would it be okay?

Best regards,

Patrick Smiley

I'm on vacation so I won't be able to do anything right now but thanks for the offer.  I have a couple more questions.
What is the processor?  Do I get the use of all cores?
What sort of video card is in it?  Would I get the use of that as well?
