7161  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ✰ WhaleMixer.com ✰ Mixer That Dispense Freshly Mined Coins on: July 13, 2021, 11:52:14 AM
The letter of guarantee is on the website
Your customer said that he never saw any letter of guarantee so it was his confession not mine, so I can't verify that on status page.
You also don't reply to any of his emails, like he said before.

how do you know that the user did not manually deleting the logs ?
He said that he didn't deleted anything manually, so it's his word against yours, and he is complaining.
I also don't even know how and why should manual deleting of logs be possible.

We send out fresh coins thats been aged and mixed before dispensing
There are NO fresh coins at your service, and that was proven several times.

I'm curious: how did you find out logs were deleted? Isn't the whole point of deleting logs that you can't find out anymore?
He is using gipsy fortune teller that was probably looking at the palm of his hand  Cheesy

7162  Other / Meta / Re: Do You Believe a New Forum Software Will Attract More Users to Bitcointalk? on: July 13, 2021, 11:18:39 AM
Simple redesign won't bring much change or new quality members and we talked about this subject so many times that it sounds a bit like broken record repeating.

7163  Other / Meta / Re: [Stats] No. of Users Registered on BitcoinTalk Every Year on: July 13, 2021, 09:37:25 AM
You would get more precise information if you look at the number of active users, but I am not sure if you can get that stats for each year.
Lot of accounts are dormant and inactive and we have many examples of banned accounts, that all paints much more realistic picture compared to raw total number of registered members.
Is number of active users growing? No, I don't think so, according to DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard, number of posts are in constant and gradual decline for some time, and quality is also declining.
7164  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Lost bitcoins in a hack from bitcoin.com and bittrex.com on: July 13, 2021, 09:25:47 AM
Lost bitcoins in a hack from bitcoin.com and bittrex.com. Can I get them back? I tried to contact both of these support channels/emails but they say they can't help me. Can anybody help me? I am ready to share some of the money after you get them back to me. I am ready to share the wallet address and transaction ids over chat.
I didn't hear about any hack of this two exchanges recently, so if anything was hacked it may be your personal account there or you sent them your login details with some phishing link.
You need to post more details and transaction, contact customer support of those exchanges, but I doubt anything could be returned to you.
7165  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ✰ WhaleMixer.com ✰ Mixer That Dispense Freshly Mined Coins on: July 13, 2021, 09:18:04 AM
Whalemixer is lying and doing so many shenanigans that situation is getting out of control, first it was fake fresh coins, now claiming that people are manually deleting codes.
There is no letter of guarantee like it was confirmed by their customer but they claim that they have letter of guarantee, and I say it's all a bunch of bollocks.

By the way, there was no letter of guarantee. Just Whale Code and Whale Pass and referance ID.
7166  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Specter DIY hardware wallet on: July 13, 2021, 09:02:04 AM
To me the STM32 board without the camera would basically serve the same purpose.
I purchased cheap ESP32 from China that is similar with STM32 and it cost around $10 or $20, there is even one with camera that is a bit more expensive.

I could be underestimating the Coldcard. Like I said, I've only used ledgers so for me anything to get away from those buttons is a step forward, and I couldn't justify buying multiple more expensive ones. I also really like the approach to entropy on the Specter
I don't care so much about big buttons on big devices and I prefer smaller size for device that can be placed in any pocket or hidden easy.
7167  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ✰ WhaleMixer.com ✰ Mixer That Dispense Freshly Mined Coins on: July 12, 2021, 04:31:53 PM
I think you miss calculated as there is only ONE person claiming not received their funds
No it is not miss calculation on my side and like everyone can see in my previous post I clearly quoted reply from two guys who complained they didn't receive their coins.
One guy later claimed it was a bug, so I wonder what bug was that?

Please also mention the number of people that has successfully used the services without issues.
I can't mention exact number of people who successfully used your service because I don't know the real stats.
Website was also not working so anything is possible with your service.
7168  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ✰ WhaleMixer.com ✰ Mixer That Dispense Freshly Mined Coins on: July 12, 2021, 02:57:31 PM
I saw them asking to buy ''fresh'' Monero and Litecoin few days ago, and I asked them how they imagine to do this but I never received a reply.
It was always a risk dealing with them, we warned several times, and I see two people now complaining that they didn't receive their funds, so that deserves negative feedback.

Willing to buy fresh Monero and Litecoin to add to our reserve

A problem of not getting half of funds.

Sent a significant amount yesterday. Mixing - 100% to one wallet.
After 12 hours I've got only one half of the amount.
They gave me Whale Code and Whale Pass to track the status of mixing on their site, but it says there are no such records.
Mixing was started 13 hours ago so 1) money should come to me 2) the information on the website must be available.

Contacted support using website, requested the info Looking forward to getting the answer from them.

ps used a Clearnet address
whalemixer.com

I will let you know after the problem is resolved

Please solve my problem.

I still didnt received my coins.
It wasnt a small amount that I sent to the mixer and the support still didnt responded to my email.

Until my problem isnt solved and until I dont receive my coins this is a WARNING for all users:
DONT USE THIS SERVICE

I will edit my post, when my problem is solved.
7169  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BlenderWallet phishing attempt? on: July 12, 2021, 02:32:06 PM
As a non-custodial service, we don't store seed phrases but with the help of this information, we are able to check the history of transactions and see how many of them have been performed through Blender Wallet.
Few days ago I asked a question in your topic if Blender service should now be considered unsafe, until funds are returned to customers and flaws fixed, but I still didn't receive any answer.
I will consider that not answering anything is a sign of confirmation.
7170  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Specter DIY hardware wallet on: July 12, 2021, 02:22:52 PM
...
Yeah it's not complicated to make your own wallet following instructions, and when I was calculating price it was a bit more expensive, but problem is that there is big shortage of chips and electronics now in market so prices are going up.
3d printing is only free if you have 3d printer yourself, if not you still need to pay someone to print the case for you.
For same price you can purchase ready Coldcard open source wallet with secure element, or Bitbox that is also open source, not to mention Ledger and Trezor.
7171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will taxes be imposed on Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2021, 02:10:06 PM
There are already taxes for Bitcoin in most of the world depending on country of residency, but some of them in South America or Africa still don't have any laws regarding Bitcoin.
In some countries you pay tax for Bitcoin only when you convert it to fiat, and others have much more strict laws with capital gains, so better check your regulations for more details.
7172  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Mjesečna Analiza za Hrvatsku Lokalnu Zajednicu (Bitcointalk Croatian) on: July 12, 2021, 02:04:24 PM
7173  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: trust wallet security on: July 12, 2021, 01:54:13 PM
Don't hold large amount of crypto on your mobile phone and as extra security measure add strong password protection for your phone and for your crypto wallet.
Instead of using trust wallet, I would suggest that you use open source wallets like Electrum and Blue wallet for your mobile phone, or purchase hardware wallet if you want better security and keep more coins there offline.
7174  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Specter DIY hardware wallet on: July 12, 2021, 12:02:23 PM
I was following Specter DIY wallet for some time and I like the idea of people making their own wallets from available components, but this is not for everyone and not for general public.
I think there was recently some bug found in their code reported as false trojan alert, and I don't like the fact that Specter doesn't have any secure element.
Good thing is that many software wallets including Electrum are supported as well as multisig option with other hardware wallets,
but cost of making this device is too high for me to justify making it for everyday use, but as a hobby project I think it is cool.
Here is Specter website: https://specter.solutions/
7175  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you miss buying games on Steam by paying with bitcoin? on: July 11, 2021, 03:17:49 PM
I never used Bitcoin to buy games on Steam so I obviously don't miss that and I don't play video games anymore because it's a big waste of time.

After doing duckduckgo search I found out that some places are still accepting Bitcoin for purchasing games, like Joltfun, Keys4Coins, GamesPlanet, Bitrefill, etc.
7176  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor selling screen protectors on: July 11, 2021, 03:07:41 PM
Lol, this reminds me of when I bought a new truck:  The salesman asked me if I want to add Paint Protection...  WTF?  Why the hell are they selling a $60k truck without automatically adding in a $300 feature that protects the $600 upgraded paint job?  Did they think I wasn't going to buy the truck if it was priced at $60,300?
Sellers are always trying to sell extra stuff for any items we purchase, for example smartphones are selling extra protective screens.

One note and funny thing is that you should not install both PanzerGlass Screen protection and Privacy Glass Protector because it will probably affect touchscreen functionality, according to Trezor team.
Both packages comes with cleaning cloth and manual, and here is video how it looks like in real life:

7177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Twitch secretly end payments with Bitcoin? on: July 11, 2021, 02:50:43 PM
I didn't know that Twitch is a part of Amazon but there is your answer why they are not accepting Bitcoin payments anymore.
Big tech is looking on Bitcoin as competition, they don't like it and I don't think it has anything to do with Bitcoin transaction fees that are not so high tight now.
One thing you can do to indirectly pay with bitcoin is to have debit card connected with Bitcoin that you can use for payments like this.
7178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Profile correct details? on: July 11, 2021, 02:28:38 PM
Again, what happens if I create links and fix all the profiles? Is there any good side?
You don't need to create accounts for that ancient communications platform that nobody uses today.

Should I use my own age, or the age of joining the forum?
Age and all other information are private information but you can write them if you want and if you don't care about privacy.

What location should I use? My country or current location.
No need for entering your location or country, you can even enter Mars if you want.
7179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Self-Proclaimed Satoshi Arrested Over Bitcoin Fraud on: July 11, 2021, 02:16:50 PM
I am not surprised at all about this news of arresting this Faketoshi Jorg Molt, and I hope that other scammers like Craig Wright will have the same destiny.
This is just one more proof that people are not using their head at all when they can believe clowns like this and their Bitcoin Pension funds.
Imagine claiming you are Satoshi and you didn't even own a computer when Bitcoin was invented  Grin
7180  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger fake device Warning! on: July 11, 2021, 12:10:22 PM
You should NEVER type your seed anywhere online or on any other program, seed words are only generated and entered directly on hardware wallet device.
Doing something differently means that you are at high risk of being victim of some phishing attack scheme, either by fake device or by fake software.
