It's doing exactly what it was doing before both in terms of available liquidity and price.

Thats a good thing. They are both creeping up but they were anyway (and anticipated to).

Thats what I thought last night about a >100 buywall. Then it ended up getting filled.

Now what I think's happening is that BTC whales are starting to consider the prospect of another coin acquiring Bitcoin's valuation. Why else would anyone plough such a huge amount of risk into a single order ?

It's never happened before but for a while now I've thought that DRK was the only one I've seen that looked like it might do so. The prospect is real due to a confluence of several factors - brand, technology, survival in a firestorm of competition, originality, genuine commercial value as well as trade value, transparency of the devs, strong market, low coin supply, weakness of Bitcoin, not making mistakes, not having been killed of my pumpers.

When you look around, that happens to be a right rare combination of qualities.

BTC whales are getting nervous.

They've been waiting patiently for the price to come down and it isn't coming down.

Now they're starting come out of the woodwork in desperation. (I don't know what you would call placing a 133 BTC order in a market this illiquid other than desperate).

Lets see if they get any. The next phase of action is about 45 minutes away as the 5 minute wave turns around.

Think I might have to bring that forecast a bit closer. Someone's getting sick of waiting as 133 BTC buy order has now appeared right at the top of the bids. Unlikely to be fake that high up the list.

4hr MACD histogram has put in its first clear bar on the lee-side of the downwave with crossover projected in about 12-20 hours. 1 hour already flipped slightly wide after glancing off the signal line following Evan's little market 'fright' yesterday.

Analysis is further endorsed by the fact that last night's 2000 sat order book spread has been closed to 1000 by the bid side.

Bitpay now adding ONE THOUSAND new merchants per week - that was back in January, who knows what it is now. (It took them a couple of years to get to 10,000, now they're doing that in a couple of months according to this article).

Fortunately, with this coin it's not trollers that are driving the price.

Don't get me wrong - I've bought a lot of clones, but only so I can sell them again. In that type of market you're always hawkishly looking for the top with one finger permanently on the ejector-seat button.

With coins that I bought because I read about them and actually thought they had a future it's totally different. You invest because there's some real work going on that can't be reproduced. I know the technology can possibly be reproduced but it also takes people, organisation, brand recognition, investor loyalty. Only the originals really have all that and thats what your investing in, so I don't pour over the charts so much with those coins. Just buy and leave it alone.

My 55 + or - seems to be holding at the moment but I wouldn't mind if it dropped because I've seen the panic that ensues when it starts to go up and leaves people out of the market. The order book is shuffling like crazy. It's clear that there is massive demand - everyone just wants to know the optimal time to get in thats all.

Well there was an interesting exercise watching that flash crash after Evan's little "fright".

A lot of hands got shaken there. Talk about taking the pain quickly.

Also, people now know that if they dump below 55 it's just going to blow right up in their face, so that should shut all the fudsters up who've been saying it's over valued.

It clearly isn't (unless you want to argue with the market which quite a few on here do appear to want to do ).
 

It's funny how people have different perspectives on this.

I'm a software developer.

When I heard he was delaying the launch I thought GOOD ONE !

It was too good to be true that a beta test go off like clockwork with no problems and issues to be gone back to think about and recode. It was sounding to start a bit unreal.

But now that this delay has been announced I feel comfortable again that there's something real going on here. Ironically that's put me back in the market for more coin. Stuck an order in at 48 and got it filled.

In addition to that, from a technical perspective (as opposed to price which is meaningless at this stage in a project like this) you've got:

[1] - the developer being transparent and having the bottle to come on here un-anonymously and participate in often adversarial exchanges

[2] - the fact that they are full-time employed by this project and

[3] - the fact that he's announced (albeit informally) that ring signatures are on the roadmap

This coin's got it all for me, at least as far as any crypto project could have at this stage in the game. I don't see what else they could be doing.

Dumpfest.

Ba careful with your coins. There are birds of prey hovering over that order book.

They will wait like hawks circling at 1000 feet, scouring the ground, allowing liquidity to build at the slightly lower price levels.

Then out of the blue - BAMM. They'll fold their wings, plummet like a brick built sh*thouse onto those asks and leave behind a stonking green candle for every other buyer to cry onto.
