7181  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Reach $100,000? on: May 01, 2019, 03:05:31 PM
Yes , maybe after 50 years . I saw some article that stated last time that it's possible for Bitcoin to reach $100,000.But who know if it's really happen, every hodler would be happy.😁😁

Nope. It will happen much sooner. Although I hope that Bitcoin survives for another 50 years or even 100 years, I realize that it is close to impossible. Technological innovations normally have a short life-span, before being replaced by advanced alternatives. But don't worry about it... BTC doesn't have any competition for the next 5 to 10 years.

Shane Watson played all the 13 matches for CSK so far in this season and scored just 251 runs (average of 19.30 and S/R of 127.41). It sums up the attitude of the teams during this season. They want unchanged squads and will never drop any of their star players, even if they performs pathetically. Watson is 38 years old and he must think about retirement.
7183  Economy / Economics / Re: Craig Wright sues a podcaster for saying Craight Wright is not Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 01, 2019, 02:51:47 PM
Craig Wright is defame by a podcaster and sued him? Then how the heck he can't sue John McAfee saying the same to him, man he's got no balls. Ambitious Craig S.W is a bully and needs to be disciplined at all cost.

I agree. Craig S Wright needs to be taught a hard lesson, that he is not going to forget anytime soon. But at the same time, I have a feeling that we should leave BSV out of this discussion. A lot of crypto-users have invested in that coin and almost none of them have anything to do with CSW. Let's keep the hatred directed at CSW and not towards BSV.
7184  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine plans to impose a tax on the operations with cryptocurrency on: May 01, 2019, 02:48:14 PM
I don't know how they are going to implement this proposal. I understand that the current Ukrainian regime is desperate for money. They lost the coal fields of Donbass to Russia and the gas transit revenue is dropping. The national currency has lost 70% of its value during the last 5 years. They are in difficult times.. but then taxing crypto operations is not the solution. It will just result in more revenue loss and may also force some of the crypto businesses to shift to other countries.
Ukraine is really struggling between their economic shortcomings and their political turmoil with Novorussia being a continuous thorn in their side. At this point, all they can do is hope that more taxes are enough to add money to the failing government's treasury because there will almost certainly be not enough revenue otherwise. Despite all the military assistance being poured into Ukraine, there seems to be little done by the coalition forces to help their economic situation.

Taxes on crypto likely won't be the solution to this issue. The revenue from it would be far too small to supplement the Ukrainian economy and if anything it might hard remittance payments coming back into the country. I don't know why they think it's a good idea because it will do nothing to help them. It'll just harm their country more.

If the NATO is serious in helping Ukraine, then they should offer work visas to the residents there. Despite being a rival nation, Russia is home to more than 3 million migrant workers from Ukraine. What prevents the EU from giving preference to the Ukrainians over all those unwashed hordes from Syria, Nigeria and other Sub-Saharan African nations?
7185  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia to replace USD reserves with Bitcoin on: May 01, 2019, 02:44:04 PM
I don't think that we'll gain anything by posting fake news. All it can do is to tarnish the reputation of this forum and that of crypo-currency in general. It is true that Russia is selling the US treasury bonds in its possession. They are selling the bonds and purchasing bullion and other assets. But there is no indication that they are even remotely interested in crypto.

Its logical to find an alternative and not depend on USD. If the future says crypto is getting much attention, it shall be considered an alternative not just for the Russia. They'd rather be looking into it than dependent to whatever is on the table. Fake or not. Look into where this market is going, it just can't be this way for the rest of its existence.

A lot of alternatives to USD exists as of now, and crypto doesn't rank among the top 10. And it is beyond stupidity to say that Russia would sell its remaining forex reserves to accumulate an asset, which has lost 85% of its value during the last 15 months. We need to be realistic and remain patient. Else, the crypto community will become the laughing stock in front of the rest of the world.
7186  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Cryptobanks Future? on: May 01, 2019, 02:40:44 PM
I am not sure whether cryptocurrencies are compatible with the banking system, with its current size and shape. Since cryptos such as Bitcoin are protected against inflation, the banks can't offer interest on their deposits. And it is so easy to store crypto-coins, that you don't need a bank account to trade or store them.
7187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: May 01, 2019, 02:37:05 PM
Right now DC is on the top, only because they are having a better run rate when compared to the CSK. That means that in case they lose the match today, then they'll be relegated to the second place once more. Neither teams can afford to be complacent. In case they finish on the top, then they get two chances during the playoffs.
We will find answers in the next few days for sure.

By the way, does anyone have the finalist in mind? I think one will be CSK and another one will be DC. So today we are going to see a warm up for of the final match if indeed these two teams make the final.

I am very bullish for CSK even to win the season title LOL

I am 100% confident about Delhi Capitals qualifying for the final. The other team can be either CSK or MI, with CSK having the advantage as of now (despite their recent bout of bad form).

DC made some very interesting changes today. Boult in for Rabada, and Jagadeesha Suchith in for Ishant Sharma. And interestingly both of them opened the bowling for DC. CSK now really reeling at 2 without loss after 2.0 overs.
7188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano will destroy Ethereum! on: May 01, 2019, 02:14:30 PM
Lol there was a couple years for Cardano to destroy the ETH, but seems it not happens.. Eth is much more powerful and popular, they are both old and true:)

Completely agreed with your post. The technology behind Cardano is definitely much better than the one behind Ether. But after the developers got filthy rich in 2017, they forgot to take care of the bugs and deficiencies. And that is the reason why ADA is now 95% down from the peak valuation. Now it will be the turn of some other crypto to challenge ETH.
7189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There should be a wikipedia page of casinos that accept bitcoin on: May 01, 2019, 02:07:29 PM
why should there be any?!
wikipedia is not a place to advertise businesses, and i have never seen a list of any other businesses there either so i don't know why you think such list for "bitcoin casinos" should exist! there already are many other websites that list them with feedback, ranking,... which i think is more than enough.
I think we should not abuse Wikipedia to promote the bitcoin casinos. All players want it, so the platform they are using may not be noticed by too many people, so limiting promotion on popular platforms is a great thing. Gambling is not a great thing so don't recommend it on Wikipedia.

Everyone is busy with increasing their post-count and no one seems to have noticed my post. Let me clarify:

1. Wikipedia articles are constantly monitored.
2. Although you can make edits to the existing articles, these edits will be reviewed (especially of you are a new user)
3. In case the reviewer finds that you are indulging in promotion or advertising, then he will revert the edits and ban you from Wikipedia
4. If you are creating a new article instead of editing an existing article, then most probably that article will be nominated for "quick deletion" after review by the moderators
5. Your account, as well as the IP that you used for making the edit will be banned.

7190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have experience betting in a spider fight? on: May 01, 2019, 02:02:36 PM
Here in our countr, betting is one of the common forms in gambling and that include spider fight.betting. Spiders could be easily spotted at night in the mountain areas where they will going to make their spider web to catch its prey.

Now, since spider do fights when meet, gamblers take this chance for.betting. Do you have experience on spider fight betting?

Note: Not all spider's fight for it will depend on its classications and some are too poisonous if got bitten will result to death.

These spider's are the common spiders that are not poisonous.

Very interesting topic. This is the first time I am hearing about spider fighting. I have witnessed cock fighting events near my village and have heard about dog fighting tournaments (although both are illegal in my country). This one is particularly interesting, and I think that the current regulations and laws does not outlaw it.
7191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: May 01, 2019, 01:59:49 PM
Indeed they have solid lineup of batsmen. If somehow England reach the World Cup Final and manage to lose then I would like to see Michael Vaughan, Nasser Hussain and Micheal Holding reaction Cheesy
If England manages to reach final, I doubt they will lose if the opponent is not Australia. Australia is likely to be the champion this time.
Alex Hales will miss the world cup due to taking drug. It's sad for him and team England as well.

English players do have a problem with discipline. Ben Stokes was involved in a brutal fist-fight in the city of Bristol, which left at least one individual severely injured. And yesterday, county cricketer Alex Hepburn was jailed for 5 years for sexual assault. These guys need to learn a few lessons from the old generation players, who were known for their gentlemanly behavior.

7193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Bounty hunters on: April 30, 2019, 06:02:39 PM
I hope Bitcointalk will start caring about its people ,there should be new moderators that can fish out bad projects on here to avoid wasting time of bounty hunters ,and about KYC ive come to think of it as many bounty hunters don't like KYC I'm sure if Bitcointalk is the one asking for KYC so as to limit frauds and multiple accounts bounty hunters won't complain, we will follow the rules ,but first 'SAFE US FROM BAD SCAMMY PROJECTS' ,no matter how wise we investigate a project they end up been scam ,scammers are getting wiser as well.looook at desico for example Shocked Can anyone tell me if he/she knew Desico is a scam from day one? I guess not

Scammers are very innovative nowadays and the moderators will find it extremely difficult to identify the fake projects. There is only one reliable method to stop these scams. It should be made mandatory that the promoters should keep a certain amount in escrow before they can create an ANN thread here. But whenever such a measure is proposed, it attracts opposition from a lot of people.
7194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 30, 2019, 05:43:50 PM
It's already 11.04 pm IST and did not start the match yet. It is already 2.30 hours passed from the starting time. So now have any chance to start the game if rain out?? or match will be abandoned now?

11:26 pm is the cut-off time. If the match starts by then, we'll be having a 5-over match. But looking at the weather forecast and the conditions as of now, I think that the match will be abandoned. And that can effectively mean that RR is out of contention for the playoffs.

7197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON - worth investing? on: April 30, 2019, 04:05:00 PM
TRON is one of the most controversial coin top 20. It is something like Ripple, you either love it or you hate it. With this controversion comes a big risk because too many people avoid it, that means that they will never buy this coin.  Wink

That also means that there can be big incentives to invest in this coin. I still remember how XRP went from outside the top-20 to become the third biggest crypto (in terms of market cap). I was one of those guys who hated XRP. And in the end my hatred cost me quite a bit of fortune.
7198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can ETH reach $200 after the upgrade on: April 30, 2019, 03:56:02 PM
In my opinion, Ether is one of the most under-priced coins as of now. The current exchange rates represent a 90% drop from the ATH which was achieved in 2018. The main reason for this drop is the pathetic state of the ICO market. I don't expect the ICOs to recover anytime soon, but ETH is doing enough to dissociate itself from the ICO sector.
7199  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Reach $100,000? on: April 30, 2019, 03:26:35 PM
Theoretically, it is possible. Back in 2017, Bitcoin had around 100 million users and it reached a peak valuation of $20,000. The market cap at that point was around $340 billion. The number of users continue to increase, but at a smaller pace. Maybe by 2025 or 2030, the user-base may increase to 500 million, and it may be possible to have an exchange rate of $100K and a market cap of $1.7 trillion!!!
7200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trader Brutally Tortured on: April 30, 2019, 03:23:17 PM
In my country, BTC deals are under investigation and traders may go to jail for this

Hmm... that is a very difficult situation. In countries such as Nepal and Bangladesh, Bitcoin is banned altogether. Anyone caught trading in Bitcoin will be charged with money laundering and sent to jail (Bangladesh arrested a few traders only last week). Under such circumstances, what are the options that a trader is having in case he is abducted and tortured by criminals?
