721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Main disadvantage of Bitcoin and the others on: July 20, 2012, 04:03:25 PM
You could have a friend(or a trusted entity) pay for something for you, and then pay your friend the BTC amount, problem solved just make sure your friend doesn’t say anything Tongue

I'm working with someone that will allow such anonymous trust transactions with other users like the bitcoin-otc but more intuitive and in my opinion more practical.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Anyone else get a random Bitcoind crash? on: July 20, 2012, 04:00:16 PM
Anyone else get a random Bitcoind on their server? I'm guessing the block chain hit 2gb?
723  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: bitcoind is too heavy on: July 19, 2012, 12:11:14 PM
What if you uploaded the blockchain to the server? that might work... but then again when you get some btc sent to the server it will crash because you sound like you have low amount of ram anyways

About the whole "QR can't read this or that debate"
QR code readers usually set everything black and white and then read the data Smiley

728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][Beta]Cheaper In Bitcoins | Pretty URLS released on: July 17, 2012, 11:10:08 AM
I didn't receive that, as I don't think it was one of my stated prizes?
The first 4 winners were supposed to receive Bitcoin key chains however I didn't want to promise something I didn't have in my possession yet, but no that was not in the stated prizes sorry for the confusion.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][Beta]Cheaper In Bitcoins | Added Categories on: July 17, 2012, 11:06:59 AM

731  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [IDEA] Bitcoin community center on: July 17, 2012, 05:50:28 AM
Nightly Bitcoin training and exchange.
Interesting
Could you elaborate what kind of training would go on? Maybe like a projector or perhaps everyone brings their own laptops and can follow along or something like that?

I like to do things right or not at all thanks for the advice mates I defiantly want an authentically sounding one so I can meditate with it, I'll just wait till I can afford it.

I completely understand. I spent a few weeks looking and testing till I found the right one last time. But I learned with anything long and tubular - long cardboard rolls, a vacuum cleaner tube (you get some good effects from bendy bit), pvc pipe (with gaffer tape on the edge to prevent cuts), and a metal pipe. Then when I went on to a real one I could really tell the difference and listen for it.

If it's just the breathing, concentration and meditation you're after, try any found object and practice on that. Anything at all that's the right shape and size. Then you'll know what to look for when it comes to buying a good one. I'll be happy to give you any advice you need should you change you mind about getting one.

One such piece of advice is ask your significant other first Wink
Haha that last part cracked me up,
I think the constant breathing and just the noise it makes it self(when i listen to high quality recordings) just puts me in a peacefull place.

Hmm we could also have some BTC company start a Bitcoin Paper money thing and some how incorporate it so there is an offline way to check if a piece of paper is valid....Users would download an app that could scan QR codes and verify that the piece of paper is valid some how offline. wait idk if that would work

What would prevent double-spending in this model?

Another great point why i wouldn't do offline transactions Smiley
