Ill be honest, I managed to use pgp to access the OTC but I still have no idea how to sign an email.

You don't need to sign the email you can sign a plain text message (just like in OTC) and just paste the signed message into the email.

File attachments work better for validation

183  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: PHP Bitcoin Development Kit | Dev. Phase v0.0.45 | BitcoinDevKit.com on: March 16, 2013, 03:16:03 AM
When the BDK for PHP is completed (as in beta) and pre-orders for videos/tutorial/scripts pack is available, upon pre-ordering (and when purchasing is available), when payment is received you will get a Bitcoin digital receipt for your pre-order.
You will tangibly receive a "Message", "signature", and "Bitcoin address" so you have verifiable proof that you have purchased the digital download pack of goodies. This Bitcoin address to verify the signature/message against will be known as the official BDK for php address and thus will be "static"(non-changing). This way if by some means that the "purchase list" in the web site database is lost or destroyed then the customers can give me their signatures/messages and I will verify against the Bitcoin address and then validate the amount of Bitcoins received.

The website has been updated and there should be absolutely no broken links and no more "redirects to HTML pages".

http://BitcoinDevKit.com

Also I purchased http://BitcoinWebKit.com and in the future that BitcoinWebKit.com domain will redirect to the PHP BDK and the Bitcoindevkit.com will redirec to a "centeral" selection website to pick which Bitcoin Dev Kit language you would like (BDK for C++, BDK for Qt, BDK for JS, BDK for Jquery, etc )

Just don't do this ...

http://xkcd.com/1181/

Visit the site to see the bonus mouse over message.

so funny and I believe that is true, nobody is going to "verify" signatures of messages on their own. (or out of band key verification haha)
187  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Programmers/Designers wanted for new bitcoin project on: March 12, 2013, 10:15:23 PM
email me at cuntsrus@tormail.org

Looking for the cream of the crop, eh?
Wow, that's classy, Mr. OP.  I'm sure that you'll get really expert programmers emailing to CuntsRUs.

Sometimes I wonder why I linger onto new threads.... hahah

I understand encryption, I'm just wondering how it works posting it on the forums. Is it basically just a type of public key encryption, the public key is provided, and is used to verify the characters given?

I guess you wouldn't post encryption on forums unless it is within a "known" group or a "single" recipient like Private Message. other than that its just funky for forums open discussion.

If you use windows you can use GPG4Win I hear thats pretty useable and the interface looks easy on linux there is Kleopatra and lots more. I'm working on a P2P Crypt device that incorporates not only gpg4win/kleopatra encrypt/decrypt functions but also provides easy secure messaging to one another.

192  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bit Rookie | Social Network on: March 10, 2013, 02:27:20 PM
I find that I haven't seen anything worthy of noting as "awesome" with out an "work" to show but still interested in your project. There is another website attempting to do the same thing called www.uptweet.com (Bitcoin talk username: Flippro) I don't think its social yet but I'm pretty sure that is the goal eventually.
193  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] TorShops | Create your own .onion store with full bitcoin integration on: March 08, 2013, 06:14:04 AM
Now why didn't I think of this for my Bitcoin Development Kit

Sounds like a great idea.
194  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price stagnate or drop because of this issue? on: March 07, 2013, 05:49:00 PM
I mean we only have the potential for growth of 10 times the current price then.

I think you mean growth of 10 times the current "transaction rate".
195  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [solved] http error from json-rpc in php on: March 06, 2013, 08:07:32 AM
Perhaps my PHP BDK library might help http://bitcoindevkit.com
196  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Will lawyers ever band together and defend bitcoin in the name of freedom? on: March 01, 2013, 01:25:18 PM

I use Bitcoin because I am already subject to the whims of misguided legislation and regulation. Bitcoin is a tool I use to protect myself from such things.

You want to play nice with a system that has slowly, yet consistently, eroded our freedoms, in the hope that you will end up with some crumbs? I prefer to opt out entirely. You can call that ignorance if you want.

That is exactly why I use Bit-coins. I might add because the legal/Bank system is like a 2nd job & big brother, I don't need that stuff around to live or survive its just too much mental stress to worry about if my "accumulated work" will be swiped right from under me for things that are breaking my Sovereign Rights I don't do anything illegal why should I have to feel like I"m being punished for working legitimately.
197  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [FOSS] P2P Crypt - Encrypted text, voice, & video communications - Turnkey on: February 28, 2013, 11:17:58 AM
Pre-alpha testing "take 2" will be happening this weekend.
Stay tuned for the Change list on Saturday.

EDIT/UPDATE POST:

After much discussion this project will be guided like the following/
*Get the protocol & a white paper of the protocol+system standardized with the current "C" only language.
*Convert to C++ code after everything is finalized.

The goal is to start a C++ client in 5 months and be completed with the re-write in another 5 months after that point.

EDIT/UPDATE POST:
The table definitions for the "messages" database.

199  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Using bitcoin for software activation on: February 27, 2013, 01:17:11 PM
I'm going to leave off with, I think that if it doesn’t cost any perpetual resources, customers shouldn't have to fork out money in a perpetual manner, however if there is on going costs for the service/product then it should cost. In my opinion it only seems right to give out free open source client stuff (even though it may cost in time/electricity) and to only charge for the services that the client/servers provide. However I will admit not every model could benefit from this, like single player games, photoshop, after effects(Unless of course they allow you to use their (theoretical) services/servers for "cloud rendering" and allow photo shop tools to be open and free... Hmmmmm.... )
200  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Using bitcoin for software activation on: February 27, 2013, 12:47:18 PM
In retrospect it sounds like:
Now:
We buy software.
Submit a "unlock" code.
Software decides weather it needs to the internet for activation or not at all or must connect online every X interval, etc

In the future
We download software.
Software connects to internet asks for BTC address from the central server.
User "pays" for requested amount.
Software connects to internet again asks for "total" received balance from multiple servers.
Software unlocks software by decryption
Hackers just save the decryption key and replay and distribute at will.
