721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another judge my portfolio thread! on: January 28, 2018, 02:36:27 AM
So I'm building a new portfolio, blend of stability vs risk, I'm a long term holder so my goals are more end of 2018, watching for pumps and dumps along the way and market corrections.

BTC - 10%
ETH - 20%
NEO - 20%
OmiseGo - 10%
BitBay - 10%
Oyster PRL - 10%
Elixir - 10%
Iconomi or an Iconomi BLX fund - 10%

Open to any suggestions,
Cheers!
Set goals for your money place barriers so not even you could touch until that time. A year goal of HODL is good enough make sure you won't touch it for a while even it takes the huge pump just wait patiently and who knows it might get better and better. If you have some extra money maybe put some of it into your HODL and also bring up XRP next time.
722  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Total num of unique addresses on blockchain graph - how can this be correct?? on: January 28, 2018, 12:55:43 AM
Looking at this graph/data from blockchain.info:

https://blockchain.info/charts/n-unique-addresses

How can only 600k unique addresses be the total ever  to have appeared on the block chain? (  I would understand if this was a graph of unique addresses in the past 24 or 48 hours or some period Like that -  but not unique addresses that have ever appeared on the blockchain?? )

(Also why would this number / chart line ever dip down , i.e. Look at a 30 or 60day graph- shouldn't it always be increasing or at minimum staying the same from day to day?)

I guess what is also confusing to me, is that the only way to get bitcoins into an address is to perform a transaction (short of mining a block) , so 600,000 unique addresses (total , ever)   Divided by $40 billion (about @ 2300$ Per btc) total value of all outstanding bitcoins equals an average address value of around $61,000 Huh

I'm just so confused by this graph and was hoping someone could shed some light -  wouldn't this also mean that less than 600,000 people worldwide have ever done a btc transaction ( because one person could of course have multiple addresses, but even if everyone only had one address it would mean only 600,000 addresses have actually been used in a valid transaction- right?)

Thanks!

Edit: maybe this means unique IP addresses ?  ( if so I really think blockchain.info should specify this, either at the top of the graph or on their "charts" page where they give a bit of a description for each graph/data set)

Consist of 35 different characters lower case and upper case of letter and combined with numbers if you ask me that is an incredible amount of combinations more than billions unique wallet addresses cam be made satoshi made it that way so that if you entered the wrong address and send some btc in there you won't have a problem taking back your money cause it won't be send even if you have type it correct but the last uppercase letter was lower case cheers to that so genius.

You can see my previous history. I have made payments. So there is no issue. About escrow i have a guy for that his name is Atriz. As i receive payments then i will give him. Otherwise there is no question i can make payments recently i have done.
Have not been contacted by them.
Bump . thank you for clarification sir.
They've just messaged me on Skype saying that I'll get Escrow funds on the the 3rd of Feb. So looks like they want to get 2 weeks of free advertising.

There is a high chance this campaign will not pay.

726  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: January 10, 2018, 01:49:48 PM
Would banks and governments actively work and implement countermeasures to undermine this process? Are the underestimating the potential of cryptocurrencies by investing in some of them?
Do you think there is a possibility of cryptocurrencies being banned in the future for the reason of being a threat to "normal" currencies?

Yes they will and planning to operate a large scale regulation about something like this. It is a matter of saving and earning yet the goverment want to hold and regulate the abnormal size of people who uses it and gain and incredible amount of money. If such counterparts were to be implemented huge value will surely be compromised.
727  Economy / Economics / Re: How would Bitcoin react to a global financial crisis? on: January 10, 2018, 05:50:53 AM
It has been 10 years since the 2008 financial crisis and there are a number of financial experts out there predicting doom and gloom to hit the financial world this year. To be fair, every new year brings new crazy predictions, so, although I am not reading too much into it, It did get me thinking - how would bitcoin hold up during a financial crisis.

We know gold is able to withstand a crisis, but with the price of gold very much being controlled nowadays, it might not be a good idea to use them as a comparison.

Interested to know peoples thoughts on the matter, what do you think would happen to bitcoin during a financial crisis?

Likely go along the road to the crazy type of it. Bitcoin would not react to it rather it depends on the one thats using it. It is likely to be low if there was such as that. Gold is a different story it is a physical material however Bitcoin surpassed its value over just 10 years and gold have been going since ages.
728  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price fluctuation on: January 09, 2018, 11:58:05 PM
Will bitcoin price ever cease to fluctuate so hard? I mean currently it seems as if it's fluctuating just because of the trends among people who believe that investing into bitcoin, given some time, is 100% profit. But what if the so called bubble would burst, shouldn't the price get more stable?
Hard to say however this is for sure The users of Bitcoin is still at estimation about 15% the population in the world which might we think Bitcoin is at its prime mode haha. I do hope so Bitcoin would not be so much attractive cause it will cause some damage regarding from the governments.
729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to Buy bitcoin? on: January 09, 2018, 11:42:19 PM
Hi! ☺️ I just want to ask when to buy or sell bitcoin? I don't want to lose money.. I mean we can't avoid to lose if we're just beginner but atleast we can find ways to prevent it right?
Don't want to lose money but wants to profit?  I mean thats just it? you just want to hold without a hitch next time do your research before joining. There is no way you will never gonna lose money if you would hold it for a longer time.
730  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Developed trading skills on: January 09, 2018, 10:28:46 AM
I'm very new trading. Trading is art.please help me with bellow facts.

1. how to find better day trading coin pair.
2. which are good platform day trading (low fee, high accuracy and speed).
3. day trading tutorials.

Thank you very much.
1. TOP ICO hold just a little of them if youre unsure of your decissions. BTC is far greater than anybody elses coins but it has a high fee and more unstable than before. I prefer ETH and Ripple.
2. Im using mercatrox and Bittrex no problems so far.
3. Dont have that just read and speculate practice more.
731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading analysis, is it real or speculation. on: January 09, 2018, 04:51:14 AM
There are some signals that can make you some money but I personally prefer to just do everything myself. Some people are lucky with their guesses but the success almost always depends of the facts of the company, its not a controlled scam, if anything its the complete opposite with how crazy Cryptos numbers are across the board. Its pretty easy just keep up with the news and regularly read the forum, I day trade and make a good amount of money even when the whole market drops just as its doing right now.
Me too i want to do it myself than waiting for signals. They dont really give much informations and they are so sketchy and suspiscious. If you lose on trading it is good why? It can improve your mind to adjust in a more carefull set and that gives you advantage towards picking a coin.
732  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Road to 0.1 btc on: January 09, 2018, 03:45:17 AM
this is my new project this 2018
i got 0.004 btc and i just injected it to a trading site
so here's my strategy please help me decide Smiley
1. invest it in 1 altcoin (short term/long term)
2. putting  your eggs in different baskets
which means i will divide my 0.004 and buy at least 3 alt coin (short term/long term)

what do you think?
If it goes well keep it going and adding it later. Make your decission into one pick only one on each coin either its  short or long term to distinguish your profit on the go.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have only 200€ to invest on: January 09, 2018, 12:22:47 AM
Hello Im new on this forum, can you help me to choose good coin for me? I have only 200€ to spend, I was thinking about ETH/LTC but is it worth when I have only 200? Or should I try my luck with something cheap.
Ripple is going all out but its your choice if you want to invest in that. ETH and LTC are good coins has high expectations from them. But BTC is the best.
734  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading Strategy. on: January 08, 2018, 06:31:30 AM
I've posted this on someones post before, but I will post it again here for everyone to see. I can't tell you not to be not to be emotional when prices are fluctuating fast, because we've all had some kind of emotion when prices are volatile. This can potentially be an expensive process you will learn. The market, in most cases, will eat new fish alive. Let's just call it how it is. If you're new, and actively trading, you're going to get rekt sooner or later, over and over again, it's just a part of the process. You know not to put your life savings in, and go all-in on a trade, but, you do it anyways. AND you will learn from it, for the better or worst. Worst being high probability. Money itself is very sensitive to people. But try to understand, prices move up and down. If you're new in this space, and came in during the media attention hype, get ready for an emotional roller coaster. If you stick around, and actively engage in your investments consistently, for a healthy duration of time (about a yr) you'll have a better understanding of the market and how it works. You get to watch the new fish get rekt.
One of my trading strategies is geared towards swing trading.
You should somewhat engage in your investments, and you should have a disciplined strategy You have skin in the game, why would you neglect your investments? At least have an entry/exit or accumulate plan. This strategy can go 100 different ways, but I'll try to keep it simple. Like I've said before, this is geared towards position trading. This is one of my strategies to protect myself from harsh retracements. For this strategy, my plan is to preserve USD so I can pay myself, and take profits, hedge into other stable assets and so on. Take a look at the simple charts of Gold/USD and Bitcoin/USD on the 4 hour chart, Bitcoin's price volatility is obviously greater than Gold. When Bitcoin rallies over 20 - 30%, it would be a good, probable decision to hedge into Gold or any other stable investments with your BTCUSD, based on historical price patterns. Nobody knows where Bitcoin's price is going to be in the future, nothing is certain in crypto, but based on historical data, in a broad picture, BTC has gone parabolic, been through 6 bubbles, had nearly a 50% correction from 20k to 10k and gaining mainstream attention rapidly. We could speculate the "what ifs, how's and why's all day long, but at the end of the day, if your skin is in the game, you need to engage and protect your investments. You'll make mistakes, the market is designed to be unpredictable. Crypto is still new, insane and volatile. Bitcoin is up over 30% since New Year's, why not throw a little into Gold? I'm bullish on both XAU (Gold), and BTC, but BTC's retracements are more harsh compared to XAU. This is just a strategy I'm personally using. I'm not all-in, and out on this strategy. Do not blindly take my advice, and go all in. Consult with other people who are experienced in the the markets, verify, research, and come to your own consensus. Good luck to your investments and journey
A good looking perspective man nice work. Good job making it more elaborate and explanatory to newbies. Its sad we cant pin this idea to the one that is starting to do tradings in the future or for now.
735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for Paid signals telegrams on: January 06, 2018, 09:01:59 AM
hi,
.
l'm looking for Paid signals telegrams (specially with BTC daily technical analysis) . Any recommendation? Thanks

There are many of these services, please note that not all of them are good and that not all of them will provide good signals. Because many are just doing pumps and dumps and can use you in the process. There are also some discord groups around these signals so you could even search on Google I think the website is something like discord.me where you can search for discord groups. I never tried telegram ones tbh.
Yeah it is not,  if you can do it yourself or join a group with traders not a half assed signals. They sometimes turned out to be bad. Its ok to be scammed through trading just by yourself with a medium knoweldge on trading cause experience is the best teacher.
736  Other / Archival / Re: Ethereum Will the Next Bitcoin? on: January 05, 2018, 09:55:31 AM
In my opinion bitcoin is not comparable to other coins, it has it’s huge value because it’s the first crypto, everyone know bitcoin, many less know ether and others cryptos. Tecnically bitcoin is outdated, it’s slow and it has expensive fees. Ether is much better but it’s not very known and in the future it will have to fight against all the new smartcontract ready blockchain that are following his road
You do know that Bitcoin has been going on for a decade now and yes it is the first but you do know what smartphone is and what its capable with.  Eth might have the price of Bitcoin while it is on a long run because of Bitcoin again. It was inspired and used by bitcoin investors to just try ETH on how much will it grow.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO die in 2018? on: January 05, 2018, 06:47:15 AM
I hope the ICO craze will end soon.
I don't think cryptos should be mixed with startups/kickstarters. Cryptos should be trustless, transparent and decentralized, ICOs are none of those things so using a blockchain platform doesn't really offer any benefits to them, in fact just giving a bad name to cryptos.

I dont think by the same way as you, icos are a good thing after all.

Maybe without them, there would not even be a quarter of all the altcoins that are on the top 20 at the moment.

At the moment my friend maybe ICO will be dead in 2018 just an opinion by the way. But OP is kind of an idiot. He didnt know why crypto's is created it is sometimes just to make profit and its your fault to not know the disadvantages of that and lack of knowledge leads to scamming. It benefits them this OP doesnt know where he belong please ignore.
738  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to know when to sell? on: January 03, 2018, 09:59:10 AM
Can i anybody put me through the basics of knowing when to sell and when to hold?...
I actually don't know much about market rise in demand and supply and it's affecting me in daily trade of cryptocurrency.
If you know whats the right price for you or the good enough profit for you. It all has basis and this one is yours to decide. You wont know if you wont read or speculate dont rely too much on suggestions be realistic and make decissions for yourself to improve yourself.
739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Neutral Coins to Hold Currency on: January 03, 2018, 07:54:48 AM
what would you say would be a good coin to use for a neutral hold that doesn't gain or loose much at all?
some where that I can save my gains from something like LTC and take my gains while market goes red and put them into a certain coin that doesn't move,
suggestions thanks
Maintain a Value that does not even grow and low. Coins.ph is the right app and or wallet for you. There are two varities of this wallet the PH wallet that does not increase or decrease  and The BTC WALLET that Bitcoin normally does.  It is like a trading platform but doesnt require fees only you can lock your funds on the PH wallet with nothing to lose.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest way to gain 1% daily profit from trading? on: January 02, 2018, 11:50:45 PM
I think bitcoin is the king, so holding altcoins (even ethereum) is high-risk method right now, if bitcoin hits 25-30K many altcoins will drop 100% at latest, so trading is the safest way for me!

in your opinion what is the safest way to gain 1% daily profit from trading?
There's no telling what would a an altcoin will do to your money it might be good or bad and all you have to do is accept whats done and learn from your mistakes. Theres no safest way on trading unless you have some deep insights.
