its not a micro wall anymore ... it just grew x5
724  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] Hosted-Mining (revenue shares) / BTCT.co on: August 24, 2013, 02:05:40 PM
The value is a decent contract that will start immediately. The plan to split the shares and have a higher priced second offering for early investors.. Its right up your alley. The ability to host the rigs once that is needed. A dozen more reasons that we are writing up but didnt get added to the original offer due to a urgent need to get this up and active.

The staff I have has exceptional connections both politically and financially that we plan on leveraging. The list is long indeed.

Well now is your one and only chance ... do tell.

We're listening.

Everyone knows about Alydian, pointing to posts about them is not going to help your IPO

They are overpriced, and you are overpriced

LOL - that Labstick usb miner is fake BS

Unbelievable how fake crap can make the market move. People fell for it big time.

A simple look http://labcoin.com/presentation.html - which appears in the image, doesn't even show usb miners.

Just LOL
728  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] Hosted-Mining (revenue shares) / BTCT.co on: August 21, 2013, 04:06:25 AM
5 million shares at .0028 = 14000 BTC
20,000 shares at .28 = 5600 BTC

With this new contract you propose to more than double the amount needed to be raised in the IPO when there is already next to no interest? Shouldnt you have gone the other way around?

We dont think so. We think there is interest but we did not allow enough room for movement.

Please stop deluding yourself.

After a multiple days you have yet to sell 10% of your IPO and you believe there is enough interest to fill an even larger IPO?

Yes, because we believe our price point was too high.

And how has your price point changed now?

You changed the share price from .28 to .0028 - then increased the number of shares 250x to 5million - trying to get 14000btc instead of 5600.

So, you believe your price point was too high ... so you made it higher?
729  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] Hosted-Mining (revenue shares) / BTCT.co on: August 21, 2013, 02:58:06 AM
Ok, so the only thing you have changed, is that you want MORE btc ... nothing else has changed???

More shares, at lower price, for nearly 3x the amount of btc you were originally asking.

Wow!

And the underlying details, ie. how you plan on getting the 10TH hasnt changed.

I'm sorry, but this is a lesson to all people out there how NOT to do an IPO.

This will be the 3rd time you have changed the share structure, and you can change it another 10 times - there is no point playing with numbers when the underlying reality of what you are trying to do is floored.

You need to come up with a better plan of how you are going to mine, and get returns for investors - not tinker with shares.

I'm staying out of this one. Sorry

It is true that bitcoin users are smart and dont represent the average consumer, however, a lot of buyers will be pursuaded by the marketing gimmicks. BFL is destroying ActM in their presentation... The site is terrible right now, the product images, the logo (which looks like a cheap 90s wholesale site), the product description, product titles. Butterfly Labs by comparison is Apple level professionalism, simple, know exactly what you are getting, modern... I think it is very important and shouldnt be underestimated, there are a TON of fools who are going to buy the monarch because of it.

+1gazillion
731  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 20, 2013, 05:55:52 AM
Agree with both above.

I would take it a step further though.

Complete new products and names need to be focused on.

I have mentioned this previously, but the names of the product line, and the way the products are mentioned/advertised is way to complex.

I like the modular approach for big investors, but for small guys, who want to buy simple machines, have a simple name. BFL has Monarch, KknC have Jupiter, VMC has 'Fast-Hash-One 256 GH/s Module' and 'Pre-Order Fast-Hash-ONE 16 GH/s Chips (20,000 Lot)' (which doesnt even advertise 28nm).

The product marketing and design is a major problem
732  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: August 20, 2013, 05:10:44 AM
But, the conversion of BTC to USD ... why in the world would that be in the NDA? It has nothing to do with eASIC. Ken CAN and SHOULD let shareholders know what the situation is there.

Because knowing that someone is planning on selling $1M USD current worth of Bitcoins and when this will happen will affect the prices that they can be sold at.

Complete BS! - there are millions upon millions traded daily.

Over $5mil on MtGox in last 24 hours
Over $2mil on Bitstamp in last 24 hours

What is selling $1mil over 4 weeks ... nothing!

And we simply need to know this - has the BTC been converted yet or not?

He's trying to pick up more cheap shares before the big announcement on Friday Smiley  Let him.

Announcement?
734  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] Hosted-Mining (revenue shares) / BTCT.co on: August 20, 2013, 04:56:55 AM
Ok, so after reading through 9 pages, here's my take on things:

1. You have no idea what you are doing.
You so desperately just want to get something going, that you are all over the place. Credit to you for listening to the community and being willing to adjust, no problem there. But you are going to extremes. Started off with 250,000 shares, then changed to 20,000. Trying to offer more and more to get people interested, and still no buyers.

2. The price is too high
I get what you are trying to do, but the price is simply too high. That is why you are trying to squeeze more and more benefits in, yet no one is biting. No matter how you work it, the price is too high for too little return ... not to mention, that figures aren't actually being made available to begin with.

If the price is too high, very little else will compensate.

3. Too much 'trust me, I can do it', and not enough realistic varifiable data
Yes, you are keen and ready to go. Great. But 'trust me' is not good enough. Not with such a high price and no concrete data.

All in all - too costly, too vague, too much jumping around and too risky for too little return.

My 2 satoshis

UPDATE

It's time to regroup and radically rethink ACTM's best course of action in light of the Avalon/NRE disasters and overwhelming, credible competition from Hashfast and Cointerra.

If you can't beat them (in the race to 28nm and >1GH/watt) join them.

We must stop burning money on possibly neutral but probably negative ROI engineering and hardware, IE write off the Avalon and 20GH chips.

We must halt the BTC conversion process, and split available financial resources between Cointerra and Hashfast bulk chip orders.   Both companies accept BTC and offer miner protection plans (difficulty insurance) in case of negative ROI.

I know the 20GH chip was Ken's baby and it really really sucks to have to cancel it, but in Bitcoin time we are eons past our initial assumptions.

We must also disband the Cult of ACTM cheerleaders now known as the Board.   Their groupthink is beyond pernicious, it is deadly to shareholder ROI and nimble, creative strategic agility.

Adapt or perish.

It appears that eAsic hasnt been paid the NRE yet because the NDA hasnt been lifted.

Just wondering, why does it take so long to get them paid? Dripping btc into USD does not take this long.
Exactly my point - and why I am asking for an update directly from Ken himself!
737  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: August 20, 2013, 04:16:29 AM
Regarding a statement from eASIC, is it speculation at this point to assume that eASIC are simply waiting for the NRE to go through in order to release a statement? I ask because I feel a good chunk of the perceived validity of this stock hinges on such a statement. We've already seen that ActM gets left out in a lot of talk about 28nm chips. I'm not too concerned about that in and of itself, but I would like ActM to be seen as a serious contender and mentioned as such in discussions on Coindesk and the like.

So what are we using to found the idea that the primary thing keeping an eASIC statement from being released is unpaid NRE? That's obviously a good starting point, but are we under the impression that it's the only hurdle?

Other teams are taping-out,  but at meantime eASIC are waiting for the NRE to be paid for by ActM.  It's one month ago when IPO finished and fund for NRE raised.

There are no big news other than laggy NRE payment and non-full-speed running Avalon clones since the IPO finished.

I think it is VERY important that we hear from Ken as to whether or not the NRE of $1mil is paid or not!

It's been weeks now, and the first step to a 28nm ASIC is paying the NRE - if the NRE still hasn't been paid, its a BIG problem!

Either way, investors need (deserve) to know.

Paying the NRE is part of the deal with eAsic and therefore under NDA. Ken CAN'T say anything about the conversion or payments without breaking the NDA and jeopardizing the deal with eAsic.

If a couple of weeks without news is too much for you to handle, you should sell your shares and move on.

EDIT: right as I posted that the board was announced in the main thread - go have a look!

True - paying the NRE is probably included within the NDA

But, the conversion of BTC to USD ... why in the world would that be in the NDA? It has nothing to do with eASIC. Ken CAN and SHOULD let shareholders know what the situation is there.

This isn't strong enough now. Soon it will be again 0.0016-18ish. Hard decision. To sell, or not to sell...

it was a nice ride while it lasted, but definately on the way down now Sad

maybe you're right - sell now, buy again when it goes down to .0016
