I think you made a fair point Herbert2020.
Such as "Ledgers" or simply charades..
It has gotten way past pathetic around here.

The ICO shitcoin within another ICO shitcoin is mind blowingly stupid bullshit.
It's shitcoin inception.

And all the little kidiot investard chucklefuck shitbird profiteers can say is...

722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest in ICOs without working products. on: July 21, 2017, 08:43:18 AM

723  Other / Meta / Re: Should ICOs without blockchains be removed from Alternate Cryptocurrencies forum on: July 21, 2017, 07:30:41 AM
I sort of agree but would rather see all ICO's separated from the real currencies.
And currencies vs schemes too !

This topic makes me think of ledgers.

theymos will have to comply with US govt request(s) whenever they are submitted.
And i have propose lots since 2013 loudly some of the forum hacks and down times here may have been time for the owner to back up the entire database and hand it to the fed's.

Remember this ? (it mentions "a forum")

724  Other / Meta / Re: Banned because of not adding quote tags on: July 21, 2017, 07:20:52 AM
plagiarism is a crime ?
So is staff here advocating using Paypal with crypto which violates the PP TOS.
And worse puts you at extreme risk of getting ripped off.

I don't think it's about plagiarism so much as it is about garbage posting.
Just guessing though.. i am not staff nor would i ever want to be.
I said that before on the topic where the guy above me said he volunteered to be a mod for the Altcoin section.. which i voted YES for that because it sounded like lots of fucking LOL'z  Grin

You'd kind of have to be on your best behavior i think.. and who wants that ?  Cheesy

But i think 90pt RED color font should do the trick Wink
725  Other / Meta / Re: Multi account user spotted on: July 21, 2017, 07:13:07 AM
Multiple accounts are allowed. This person is breaking zero rules

Yup unfortunately.
I seen staff here say they advocate it actually.
When i read that i was sort of disgusted.. it should be disallowed or at least limited.

Oh and i might have it bookmarked but i have a thousand BCT Firefox Bookmarks so i am not sure i can find it.. and i can't recall which staffer said it.
They said if "you have something controversial to say" for example.
726  Economy / Reputation / [POLL] Does VOD have a "good" reputation ? on: July 21, 2017, 07:10:05 AM
I am genuinely curious people.. think of this as a survey.
I know a lot of scammers the guy exposed will say NO.
But what does the community think ?

And aside from the idiot yammering on about pedo crap again say what ever you want.

PS:
I voted NO for a variety of reasons.

Oh and by the way.. i am taking over this section so all the little VOD's and Lauda's can sit down and STFU now.
I am in charge and this is my section know chucklefucks.
I will be here 24/7 now ruling with an iron fist  Grin
What the fuck are you gonna do about it pussies ?

..call the cops  Cheesy
727  Economy / Reputation / Re: whistle11's extortion attempt - delete thread or else! on: July 21, 2017, 07:05:48 AM
Gettin' a bit off-topic but yeah i did neg that guy and LEAVE it on.
Not that it matters.. it was not long after that i had a band of assholes trash my rating.
When i negged the Paypal guy mine was neutral.. like +2

My story earlier was a tornado cluster fuck of deceitful shenanigans from the PP scammer.
He knew what he was doing was wrong.
He admitted posting on the forum that PP keeps catching him and closing his accounts.
He said he simply abandons his account + money and makes another one
..and keeps selling on the forum.

I pointed out then what happens if he all of a sudden he can't cover the seized funds by PP ?
You all shouldn't be doing that because it is in fact against their TOS.
If and when they catch you you will be in a lot of trouble.
So dealing with those people are extremely high risk.

They all here don't want you to know that though.
The behavior is sanctioned by staff too.. they have known since at least 2012.
728  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda Is a Stirrer and wants the bitcoin community to be fragmented on: July 21, 2017, 06:59:16 AM
I really get a kick out of this topic title  Cheesy
I keep coming back for the LOL'z wondering what will happen next.

@Lauda
YOU STIRRER YOU ! hahahahha

Next we will see topics bashing people because they put Milk in the Coffee and don't separate their whites while doing laundry  Cheesy

What i see around here is reaching.
I see people reaching sooooooooooooooo hard to post neg ratings..
..they are willing to use any half-ass stupid excuse.

WHY ?

Seems to me there must be some sort of INTENSE motivation.

730  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Leroy Fodor has gone Full-Delusional! StakeMiners Confirmed .100%[sic] Insolvent on: July 21, 2017, 06:49:46 AM
Just a recap..
I decided to neg Cyberpinoy because of the numbers crunched here on this topic by suchMoon.
And the data presented by Gleb Gamow solidified the whole deal.
I didn't want people to think i simply followed around blindly agreeing with him. (Bruno)
I made my decision independently.
Ultimately it was because of all the data we had at the time.

Whether it's his financial errors or just horrendous grammar he makes mistakes.
And that is in fact important.
Does he own up to them ? rarely.
He tends to get dishonest about them.
Hence he is untrustworthy.

"He" matters because he is running a cloud mining operation.
And worse considers himself to be a pioneer in them.
Lets put that into perspective.

JollyGood on the Cryptsy topic asked if there was a list of scams.
There was a large one updated Gleb Gamow posted for him that i looked at briefly..
At the top of the list a few types of services were noted as EXCLUDED !
Why ?
Because they are all pretty much scams..
Tops on the list ?

Yup.. cloud mining services.

So yeah.. they are so scammy that if one is identified as a scam it's not even noted.
That should sum it up i figure LOL
731  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YuTü.Co.in: SCAM ICO - The Unlocked Thread Version - Have at it! on: July 21, 2017, 06:37:42 AM
He's not in hiding.. but you know, in hiding LOL

I sometimes wonder what the rest of the forum though thinks of the saga that is Bruno vs Leroy that has gone on for years.
732  Other / Meta / Re: Signature Adblock Script [0.5.0] on: July 21, 2017, 06:34:01 AM
Just downloaded this. I had no idea of what I was missing. Reading through this forum is much more enjoyable now. But I mainly go on this thread on my phone, so I'll have to install the slow and laggy tampermonkey browser Sad
Firefox for android is also an option. I packaged the script as an addon for it.

I missed this comment and was curious about FF on Android but never tried it yet.
I take it Greasemonkey works on the Android version then ?

And the script seems to work really well still.
Thanks  Grin
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: July 21, 2017, 06:26:04 AM

The mistakes i made were a stepping stone.. they taught me things and gave me character and experience that is invaluable.
But i never made any HUGE mistakes trading or fat fingering etc LOL

I would do it all over again the same.
Although it would have been better if i joined earlier..
I kept hearing about Bitcoin but kept putting off looking into it all.
I regged here back when BTC was sub $50 (maybe around $30)

By the way..
I tend to scroll past and ignore people with out an Avatar.
Advertising ? LOL
It means you are a dumb ass and i should keep scrolling.
And thank god for grue's GreaseMonkey script that blocks SIG ad campaigns  Grin

734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alts fall, Bitcoin falls ... where is the money going? on: July 21, 2017, 06:21:46 AM
Thread title says it basically.

The price of bitcoin is the last price someone paid and someone sold for it. Nothing more, nothing less.

When someone who got in early sells and makes $300, someone who got in later loses $300. It is a zero sum game. For everyone who makes money, someone loses money. This isn't stock where there is a business behind it with profits, losses and reinvestment and where people are employed. This isn't a bond (loan) that generates interest.

And it isn't a dollar. A dollar is what things are priced in. It is not a speculative asset. You can't compare the "value of the dollar" against an asset value because the dollar is what things are priced in. Nobody holds dollars. They hold stocks, bonds, real estate, etc. And most people are short dollars, they have borrowed dollars and bought assets (mortgaged homes, financed cars, etc.).

Additionally, money is taken out by miners in terms of coins mined and transaction fees. Every time an exchange is made, money goes to the miners. If the transaction fee was 1%, after 10 transactions, the miners own 10.46% of the bitcoins transacted.

There is no money "in bitcoin". Bitcoins are exchanged for a price. If there are no buyers at the current price, you can't sell. You can only sell to another buyer. And there is nothing behind it. Saying "there is nothing behind the dollar" and trying to compare it to the dollar doesn't make sense. Things are priced in dollars. People don't buy dollars and hold them hoping for a gain. They buy homes, stock, bonds, real estate, clothes, food. They get a paycheck each week and either pay down borrowed dollars, buy assets with it, put it in an interest bearing account (which is a loan to a bank, it is not dollars), buy stock, etc.

So, where is the money going.. money is being taken by miners and early buyers and money is being lost by people who bought in recently.

This.  A big amen.  The essence of crypto is here.  A zero sum game, a pump of value from greater fools to earlier fools and those having their business around it (like miners and exchanges).  Which doesn't mean it cannot be played, if you think that there are still a lot of greater fools, that will pump their value your way, of course Smiley

As you point out, it is not even a zero-sum game, because mining makes it lossy.  Value has to be destroyed continuously by bitcoin and every other PoW coin, in order for it to keep on running.   As long as this was compensating seigniorage, this could have a good effect (creating coins wouldn't be pure seigniorage as you have to waste most of it, the inflation tax doesn't go into anyone's pocket (= seigniorage) but is burned into heat of mining equipment).  But in the long run this is not sustainable: you have a zero-sum asset with a value leak in it.

I am just curious if you believe what you said..
then why did you vanish from the Altcoin section ?

You have been gone ever since the great hype started and prices hot up.
Before that you used to run around the alt section defending Ethereum and trashing alts with "Zero sum game" commentary.

It's been what months since i seen you in that section ?

No one cares..
Gimme money.
Fuck you.
Fuck honesty.
Fuck integrity.
Fuck class.
I need to get paid.. i have my mouth to feed dammit.

I see the 3 guys with me in the Altcons section *STILL*
And Dino you are no one of them.
WHEN you went into hiding is the key point here.
Makes me wonder WHY.
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Survey] Who controls the Altcoin scene ? on: July 21, 2017, 06:00:17 AM

Think of it this way.. If this site and Github vanished with out warning it would be a massive blow.
Or if theymos implemented coin release rules or banned posting scam coins.

If .. this site and Github vanished, it will be replaced immediately by another forum. So yes, you can expect a massive blow for a few days ans then back to normal.
Who controls the Altcoin scene ? The financial institutions. Guys with lots of money in Wall Street, the City, etc. Those guys are expert in making money.

Not quite naive noob.
NOOBS i have heard that before  Cheesy

What makes this place what it is and.. popular.
..is theymos himself and what and how he implemented the features and rules.

And then the staff he has etc and how they are.. a balance of rules personalities and features etc.
This place will not be replicated ever.
Cut the crap.
I have heard that before and many have tried.. and all have failed miserably.

Further more if we get into it deeper those two hold a vast wealth of invaluable data.
..which would be gone.

And no, mirrors that exist for Bitcointalk wouldn't matter either.

Hell this forum is an economy all it's own.
I have seen a LOT of slimy loser dipshits claim this is their job and business.
This as in.. this forum.  Roll Eyes

So those idiots would be out of a business / job.
How ? SIG campaigns.. Paypal traders.. Coin dev's etc.. out of work over night.
Meanwhile chucklefucks you are govt controlled.
theymos said he has called the cops on people before and he is by law required to comply with US govt LEGAL requests.
Like all of the services i already mentioned such as Github or Reddit etc.

You dumb fucks are working for the 3 letter agencies of the USA.
And apparently you are fine with it.

Problem is you are shady losers.. all of you.
You don't care that the ideology is raped and left for dead.
theymos does.
He has said he supports a better way instead of this forum.. something decentralized instead.
Do you care ?
Fuck no.
And if you don't care then it's not going to happen now is it ?

And shouldn't we have already moved on to non govt controlled centralized exchanges already ?
The answer is yes Investards.. it's been 8 years already.

Consider your stupid little NOOB retort utterly decimated.

Spit shine & polish your crypto-ROI's-charade profiteers  Cheesy
I GOT BITCOINS TO MAKE !
NO TIME TO TALK HODL !
I GOT MA MOUTH TO FEED DAMMIT !
I NEED TO GET PAID !

Hey.. wanna buy some Altcorns ?  Cheesy

You are all gay ass lame pathetic little fucking douche bags spewing bullshit non stop.
and i laugh at you  Cheesy

EDIT:

Proof to back up what i said above..

He has several accounts all banned for ban evasion. It seems that the underlying offense which caused him to initially get into trouble (and often the thing which causes his alts to get noticed) is excessive multi-posting. But when he was warned and/or temporarily banned for this minor thing, he kept evading his bans. This forum cannot operate unless its few rules are followed, so ignoring the warnings and temporary bans that you receive and continuing to do the same stuff is unacceptable. People who do so are not welcome here.

His bans will not automatically expire, and any future alts we see from him will be permabanned. I may manually reconsider his ban if he promises to actually try not to break forum rules. The rules are not meant to silence anyone, but to keep the forum usable and fair. When someone multi-posts excessively, it monopolizes a thread in a way which harms everyone else's ability to communicate. Based on his posts in this thread, I think that he will just continue to break rules if unbanned, so I will not unban him at this time.

bitcointalk.org is not a normal for-profit company. Even if banning iamnotback somehow stopped all future ad revenue, he would still be banned, since his rule-breaking is disrupting the forum's mission of hosting free discussion of Bitcoin and related topics. (As explained above, "free discussion" is not "unmoderated discussion".) Similarly, I would welcome effective competition from decentralized forums, and I would be thrilled to be able to shut down bitcointalk.org in favor of a better-in-all-ways decentralized alternative. But although decentralized forums have existed for a long time (eg. Freenet's FMS is almost exactly what iamnotback keeps describing, and has existed since before Bitcoin), they have unfortunately not been widely used since the era of the semi-decentralized Usenet system, mainly due to vastly inferior usability.

Oh and i feel over all he has done an adequate/good job.
Although i wish he would revamp the rules a bit though.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BitcoinEXpress fork & destroy Ethereum after the ice age hurts mining? on: July 21, 2017, 05:47:24 AM
The NOOBS here have no clue who those people are.
But i hope he does what ever he can to bring ETH to its knees.

There's a reason we have "legendary" next to our usernames Cool

Yup.. and see the hacked news ? LOL

@BCX
Nice hacker cover story Wink
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum best for investment? on: July 21, 2017, 05:46:35 AM
if you talking about longterm investment then my answer is yes.

Did you post your comment before or after the hack news ?  Cheesy
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Can’t Cryptocurrencies Replace FIAT? on: July 21, 2017, 05:45:08 AM
Simple.. because they are not currencies.
The vast majority are hollow worthless pointless tokens that have no other use than to be traded on govt controlled centralized exchangers with teh profits coins you gots advices for fer teh ROI's.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins the new "Penny Stocks" ? on: July 21, 2017, 05:43:29 AM
Yes, you can say it penny stocks, but some times, a penny stock will be a big story in future. in 2009, BTC was also in penny stock category, but now it is a benchmark for whole crypto currency world.

That is the point I was trying to make.

Just like small penny stocks can be bought out when they go up in value; the same can be said of altcoins.

No.
Because Altcoins are not a company.. nor should they be.
These ICO's are scams.
They post a claim they will one day make something then declare they are now a company you are to invest in.

All they are..
Are a new way to run a scam.
They are hollow worthless tokens.

It is simply an evolution of scam.
And if anything it embraces the concept of scam that has always been within Penny Stocks.
So even if you did try and shoe horn that idea into crypto it is NOT a good thing  Roll Eyes
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ethereum $110 million hack; Will we see another rollback and ETC.2? on: July 21, 2017, 05:40:00 AM
another huge loss for ethereum owners when the parity wallet multisignature was hacked and the hacker stole 153,037 ETH which is nearly $32 million worth of ETH.

also another group of hackers took the opportunity to drain all the similar multisig addresses with the same vulnerability in ETH and similar tokens.
so far they have hacked the total amount of 379,999 ETH which is nearly $80 million worth of ETH
