Forgot about one thing.

if I have 0.01% of winning 400x my bet, as far as there are enough coins on the jackpot the players still have a positive Expected Return.

After playing 10000 bets my expected return is 9992 bets plus 400 and this will give me 10392, so my Expected Return is a positive 3.92%.

So, still too shady for me.

Alright... we are at LEVEL 4

That was quick...

C'mon by!

I understand that the levels get high, so I will be playing with numbers here in a bit to see if we can do something around LEVEL 10

It's a nice idea but won't work for long. Nobody is going to risk 157 btc Tongue

Maybe if you could make the deposit amounts between levels smaller and implement a RANDOM reset.

I want to give each depositor 24 hours to find a person to deposit behind them.

Okay offer is off the table....

We had a LEVEL 1 deposit of 0.001

I followed up with a LEVEL 2 deposit of 0.0025 that we are waiting to confirm....

At that point we will be looking for a LEVEL 3 deposit

726  Economy / Games and rounds / FIRSTBANKofBITCOIN.com Deposit and Get 2x Your Deposit w/next Deposit! on: March 15, 2014, 12:36:13 PM

I created a fun little bank deposit game.

http://firstbankofbitcoin.com

Currently waiting for some confirmations and we will be at level 3

I am looking for advice, please don't tell me how bad my site sucks or how terrible you think it is.  If you have ideas to improve it, I'm all ears.

Here are the rules in a nutshell:

THE GAME IS VERY SIMPLE!
PLEASE SEE DEPOSIT LEVELS BELOW - A PLAYER CAN PLAY ANY AMOUNT OF TIMES HE/SHE WISHES

Anne deposits LEVEL 1 amount.  If no one deposits LEVEL 2 amount in 24 hours Anne loses her LEVEL 1 deposit.
If Bob came and deposited LEVEL 2 amount within 24 hours, Anne would be paid out 2x LEVEL 1 amount.
Clock resets due to any deposit.  If 24 hour clock reaches zero... The game ends.
If Corey comes and deposits LEVEL 3 amount within 24 hours of Bob's deposit, Bob gets 2x LEVEL 2 amount.
If David comes and deposits LEVEL 4 amount, Corey gets 2x LEVEL 3 amount.
Davis posts on the forum and twitter that the game is paying out and asks others to come double their deposit.
Emma and Frank come by and make deposits into LEVEL 5 and LEVEL 6 which paid David 2x LEVEL 4 and Emma quickly 2x LEVEL 5.  Frank with his LEVEL 6 Deposit waits.
Greg deposits LEVEL 7.  Frank gets 2x LEVEL 6 amount.
Nobody follows Greg, and sadly the clock drops to 0.  Game over.  Greg receives a PAYOUT LEVEL 7
That, in a nutshell is the game...  Anne, Bob, Corey, David, Emma and Frank all received double their deposits. They are very happy and even click the donate button.  But Greg  had nobody deposit into Level 8 within 24 hours of his deposit so Greg is the only one that didn't double his deposit .
THE GAME THEN STARTS OVER AS WE WAIT FOR A LEVEL 1 DEPOSIT.

First person who chats with "Ms. Bit" (she's a looker) and says they will be Player 1, will deposit 0.001 but be automatically a winner as I will go second.

Questions or concerns can be taken here or Ms. Bit for quicker access!

I'm missing something here.

The site is to shady for me, I think I need explanations on:

All I gotta say is, I certainly won't vouch for em yet but they  have now paid me twice.  First one took 2 days but I saw the payment they just didn't add a fee and it so it never got picked up on the blockchain.

But sir, just look at the site rules.... your next two comments are comical.

Quote

- You are saying that "Each time you win, we double your bet" and also "We have a low house edge of just 0.8%". How can this be possible? if you're doubling our bet everytime we win, in a fair random system your house edge is 0%. But yet you are giving 1% of the losing bets (50%) to the jackpot and also 0.1% to the referred players. This make you house edge -0.6%. I'm really sure you isn't a wealthy person donating your money to the poor players of your site, so, unless you can prove that your site is generating fair random numbers, you are just scamming people on your site.

They are giving 1% of losing bets to the jackpot.  I'm sure they apply the 0.8% house edge before the bet... right?  So in the 51/100 bets- which are losers they take 1% for the Jackpot.  And they pay 0.1% to referrals.  Your math is just wrong in regards to a house edge. If I said I had a 1% house edge and gave 95% of losing bets to my Mom... My house edge is 1%.

Quote
- You said here: "As for jackpots: the chance to win a jackpot is 0.01%". Wow, so this is a nice form to win easy money from your site. Well, the bitcoin jackpot is at 43 BTC, but the minimum bet size is 0.00001. Statistically if I bet a total of 10000 bets of 0.00001 (total of 0.1 BTC) I have 100% of chance of winning 43 BTC, niiiiiiice. You should be asking why I didn't try to win this jackpot before posting this here. because we have a saying in my country that says: "when the alms is big, the saint distrusts" or using a known english sentence: "it's too good to be true".

This is simply you not reading the rules.  The max jackpot is 400x your bet.  So if you bet 0.00001 10,000 times it will have cost you 0.1, and if you hit the jackpot in there once it would have paid you 0.004....   So I don't advise you to do that.  The Jackpot is at 43 btc so yesterday I played a few flips at .1 which would have paid me 40btc.  Like I said.... I'm no willing to say they aren't a scam... in a month when they have 100 btc on their site, they could just close down...  but day to day with little bits, so far I'm up.

729  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Ponzimatic.com | Automated 130% returns ~3btc paid | Solid fast system on: March 03, 2014, 08:36:50 AM
So, just checking...

Now deposits and payouts will go in order?

I also did not realize that in order to be paid I'd need to only deposit what needed to come out...

So let me get something straight...because I donated more than was needed to pay out, that put me behind as others entered?  And then because I deposited so much,  would have had to wait till someone had enough to pay me out?

I'm lost... why wouldn't I just keep depositing 0.002 and I would move to the front and be paid out first?
730  Economy / Securities / Re: WARNING Cryptostocks.com INVESTORS SECURITY FLAW on: March 03, 2014, 08:01:05 AM
Hold up.

I can't understand what half of you are asking.

Nothing is decided yet.  We have stock holders, and they vote.

The 5000x idea is correct.  Our shareholders bought stock at 0.005 for a total of 8000 shares
The account was compromised (by us?  are you crazy?  how would this help us?)  The other 42,000 shares sold at 0.000001 each.
0.000001 x 5000 = 0.005

So that is the correct math.  Now if those stocks have since been sold for .00003 or 0.02 or 7 btc it makes no difference.  We don't set stock price, the buyers and sellers set stock price.  We first and foremost have to make this fair for the 8000 original shares. Everything else is secondary.  We can't just delete stocks or as you said, stop the sale.  That's not possible.  Welcome ideas

But again, we have shareholders, they will make the decision.
731  Economy / Securities / Re: WARNING Cryptostocks.com INVESTORS SECURITY FLAW on: March 02, 2014, 05:57:22 AM
All shares will be reissued.

Basically 8000 shares were sold at 0.005btc ea.
42000 shares were sold (due to hack) at 0.000001btc ea.

Therefore since the shares at the correct price were 5000x that of those at the lowest price, all shares purchased at 0.005 will be given an additional 5000 shares per 1 owned.

The price of stock is determined by buyer demand so yes, those are safe to buy however, with 40.000,000 shares coming aboard, everything is a little wacky and unless you see them at a great deal, I'd steer clear.

So far this is a no-go site.

Deposited and won a bit, and hit withdraw.  The system showed the trx and the amount as sent and say it coming in.... 3 days later... still nothing, went to look and they processed another payout 11 hours and 0 confirmations.  Also, how is the jackpot won?  Is it random?  You have nothing that says anything about how the jackpot is won.. all that can be seen is no jackpot has ever been paid.

I do appreciate the backing here guys, I really do.

Just want to set a few things straight because a few people are confused...

I'm Jeran, in charge of Customer Service.  I am also a stock holder who purchased shares like you all did at 0.005

The CEO is Seth, he has backroom access and is the account holder at cryptostocks.com

----  Someone here said that stocks were selling at 0.00001 or something.  I said no they aren't, and then went to check for myself.  I saw it was true and could not reach the CEO so I started thinking the worst that possibly Seth was selling off the remaining stocks. I had no backroom access and all I saw was the same thing.  I finally talked to Seth who said he had 2fA so there was no way that the stocks were selling that low and that there was a mistake.  He tried to log-in and couldn't and when sending service emails to crypto, was having all emails bounce back as spam.  He contacted me and asked me to email and see what had happened.

He then called me and said that there is a major flaw in the Crypto site regarding 2FA and overrides with new password.  It didn't seem believable to me, because he said someone must have got his email password, and I said surely it would take more than this.  So, I tested with my account which also has 2Fa, and all was proven true...

When clicking the link in the email and being taken to a new password screen, once you create your password, you are logged in, bypassing 2fa. The thief then went in and lowered the 42000 additional shares to about 0.000001.  The profit that he made was about 1 btc, he then withdrew it to a wallet.

Everyone should see the issue that a password reset should at least start a hold on 1. price change, 2. withdraw, but easiest would be, upon password reset, an auto logoff to where you must enter it all again including 2fa.

Thanks

campy ..

You're just scaring the 'sheep'
What's the point ??
You've just encouraged me to put in some low-ball bids on a couple of the 'deals' I like ..
If there is a 'problem' then CryptoStocks should just put a 'hold' on all trading until they can sort things out ..

No need to yell 'fire' in the cinema ..

So, what's the status of ALTSWAP at this point ??
I just checked and shares are still trading ..

Triff ..
