We are currently working on a BIG press release and we did an interview, both will be published in the near and I believe this is going to act as another mini catalyst as we're making the most out of this opportunity. You'll also learn a little more about the team as well. Just putting finishing touches on it before it gets sent out to our PR person.
Volume on cryptsy makes us #3 or #4 right now, price is what it is but a whole bunch of new people got introduced to us today and volume on coinex went from 18 to 60btc so all in all this should be a great week all around.

Dumpers leaving -> Death of the coin. I'm sorry mate, it's the same scenario for every coin that hits Cryptsy. Check the CMC charts. I would advise to sell asap. I'm on the way to transfer some btc from btc-e to cryptsy. Hope that doesn't take too long.
Finally i'm happy to invest more into EAC. And i'm even more happy that i was strong enough to hold my bag over the last days of going down down down...

This is not a tool for gambling, it is intended to make a difference and with the support already garnered will do exactly just that.

those 2 things Ok, I'd like to put in a bit of my perspective on this. First off, EAC, like any currency or tradeable commodity is and must be a tool for gambling! This does not negate the second statement. The two are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they can be mutually supportive. Here's why. Gamblers are speculators. They are the most basic of speculators. All other currency speculation "above" the level of the poker table is a nuance. All business, regardless of what you are trading, is gambling. Those who say otherwise are lying. The question is who they are lying to. If they are lying to me, they failed. If they are lying to you, you have to evaluate their success. If they are lying to themselves, which is by far the most common business "sin", then they have a real problem. And it will bite them in the ass. That particular self delusion comes from a common but wrong idea that gambling is a game of chance. In almost all cases, it is not. Lotteries, yes, but even then there is always one winner. The lottery operator. Poker is the game I most often hear described as a game of chance. Anyone who believes this has a standing invitation to play poker with me. I like winning. Gambling is a game of psychology. What do I know about you? What can I extrapolate from that knowledge about the hand you hold, the way you'll react to a potentially higher hand, to a bluff, to sheer intimidation, to a kind word? Business is no different. You are trying to entice people to part with their coins, so you work with what you know of their mindset. In currency exchange, you can profit MORE on a "panic" than on a rise, because in a panic those with a short time preference will dump their coins cheap just because they are risk averse. The long player will OFFER low and smile broadly when they fall for it. Same as winning the pot on a pair of fives, because the guy holding a full house couldn't tell and was frightened by your demeanor. Markets are based almost entirely on emotion. The ones who can control their passions win. Gambling gets a bad rep because people don't understand it. Most people, in my experience, are far too risk averse to be in any sort of business, let alone straight up gambling. Those who have the ability and the willingness to risk much, often gain much. Even more often after losing rather a lot. But If I were to gamble everything I could risk, lost half of it, then gained ten times that half, was it worth it? That's the way to look at it. Short term gains are nice. They really are. But if you are playing long, these little manipulations work in your favor, AND IN THE FAVOR OF THE COIN. In the specific case of EAC, I like the developers ideas, and their enthusiasm. If they can actually pull off their direct EAC/USD exchange, and can get some merchant processing that doesn't take the hour of six BTC confirmations, then they will dominate the alt-coin market. They might even make serious inroads on BTC itself. On the other hand, if all that matters to anyone involved is trading coins for other currencies, then it's just another flash in the pan. Gamble on! I greatly enjoyed reading this, and as an enthusiast of psyche/human behavior, can see how you probably do well with your plays, kudos thanks for your deep thoughts (more importantly the way you came across actually, this is what we need - proper insight explained well - even if the points are perfect or up for debate, so thanks for not just screaming or snarking your way through your points provoking everyone as many seem to enjoy, including some of our own supporters aka being overly defensive). |

Wait.
So being listed on cryptsy, which first you said you didn't want, then you did want. And now you don't care anymore, was "a few days away" for weeks now. Won't be for "months" now?
Why the lag? I think pretty much everyone wants it on a major exchange.
And everyone who's been harping on "we opened at 250, being at 220 now isn't so bad". Um start and end numbers don't mean shit without looking what's inbetween. Yes. 250 to 8-900, then back to 300. The problem is that it's been in a steady decline for the past week. No blips, no real signs of turning around. Pretty linear decrease. It looks bad to investors and miners. It makes it look like people are losing faith in the currency, and if you don't turn that around, it will be a downward spiral and end up being worth peanuts like DOGE and MOON and it won't have a chance to come back. Everyone will just say "yeah it sounded cool, but isn't worth anything anymore so why bother?"
That's the problem.
I'm sorry for not being clear. I was referring to the exchange that is being built, not Cryptsy. * We didn't want to rush it, and the only reason my tune changed was because we are now being held back on a few things internally that prevent us from finishing until we are added to Cryptsy. Enough time has now passed that it would indeed make sense to be there organically as well. AND no matter what 'we' feel, the majority want it there bad and we have no control as outlined by my three attempts to reach out to BigVern so far. I haven't once given a time or date, I haven't once speculated what will happen when we get there other than what you describe if we get listed too soon/prematurely. We will still definitely go through a new high(s)/stabilize, but more importantly, it simply opens up the coin to many traders with deeper pockets and the volume on Cryptsy does warrant growth. Re "If you don't turn that around" < If you really think it's up to us and us alone, time moves everything and we can't fast-track natural markets or simply pull magic out of our hats to increase value, it's 20 days old, if you need profit that fast you should have taken the warnings that this is a long term initiative (and we are not going to blindly hype it just to get a blip). EDIT: I'll try to end more constructively. Feel free to make suggestions as we're aware of the slow flux. |
