In your AsiaCoin wallet, go to File > Sign Message. Then click on the address book button next to the address input field and select your address. Then, enter your Bitcointalk forum username in the text box and click the sign message button. Finally, click the copy signature button next to the signature field and paste it in the message for Step 3.

I would do the MintPal freeze as they are the first to do it before Cryptsy.

And another thing.. the clock is ticking on this.. in order to save/preserve blockchain you need to freeze blockchain, that is: agree on a certian block N, after a certain block, all transactions are invalid until the fixed wallet and/or blockchain is rereleased.

Otherwise the premine is still working its way through the network, as we speak.. The network is still live right now.  So the "bad" premine is making its way through to new accounts I'm sure, making it incrementally harder to repair it.

You guys don't need the dev to come back. Let him rot in hell. Asiacoin can still be saved. Create a new blockchain that destroys the hidden premine and have people exchange their coins to the new blockchain. It happened with ADT and with Federation Credits.

Get a bounty together and contact the developers.

This is great news, now we can safely move on to other things, and I should be able to have some time soon for the next round of updates.

As for Mintpal, yeah it's not that important, but it does matter, so if there's nothing for somebody to do, logging in and voting is at least something that they can do to participate.

For those who are holding AsiaCoin, we need to come together and talk about this. If the Dev doesn't do as promised in the next 24 hours, we will have to come together with solutions.

I now understand what happened.

Just my opinion: I have seen several 51% attacks in other coins, which finally survived.
The 51%-attack isn't the problem if the developers create a checkpoint and handle it appropriate.
And exchanges even re-enabled such coin for trade afterwards.

But the huge premine is a new problem never seen in any other coin, as much as I can remember.
The survival of AC depends on whether the devs can handle these premined coins in a approriate manner ....
We will see what the announced AC ver2 will bring to us ....
