I just finished reading this on Fabrizio Romano's twitter and indeed Osimhen has again expressed his interest in playing for one of the English league clubs in the future. Two clubs that are quite interesting to Osimhen are Chelsea and Manchester United, these are big English league clubs and we all know they all have a very great history. Surely any player would be very excited if they could have a career at one of these clubs.

With the current conditions of course I would prefer Osimhen to go to Chelsea because this team is trying to improve after the previous season they reached a dead end and even though currently Chelsea's performance has not improved drastically but with coach Pochettino who has experience coaching big teams this should be the case. could be the right path for Osimhen. If we compare it with Manchester United, of course it is not much different from Chelsea, but Manchester United is worse because since Sir Alex Ferguson left him, who retired in 2013, this team has not really recovered and is still having difficulty maintaining its performance in each season. Moreover, changing coaches repeatedly did not have a full impact on the team's performance. So yes, if Osimhen wants to have a better career in the English league, he should go to Chelsea.
Both Chelsea and Man United are big teams, but both of them are not at their best at the moment. So I think if Victor Osimhen prefers to move to Chelsea, it's still not a more promising option than a move to Man United because if we look at the position of the two teams, Man United is still better than Chelsea. Apart from that, Man United also still has progress on the European stage. If only they fail in the Champions League, Man United still has a chance in the Europa League. It's not the most prestigious league but it's still better than Chelsea, which doesn't compete on the European stage.

But what is a good reason for Osimhen to go to Chelsea? The only good reason I can think of is a big salary, but other than that I guess he would not be able to play in the Champions League or even in the Europa League. He should really know whether that is what he wants. I think some of the players that signed contracts with Chelsea recently definitely thought they would soon be playing in the Champions League again, but now they are missing out on playing there perhaps for several years in a row. It is still not the end of the world as they earn loads of money, but still if a player is highly ambitious, not playing the Champions League is a waste.

There are lots of important games waiting for Leverkusen after the small break. Every time we have these breaks I hope that it doesn't do any harm to a team like Leverkusen as they are in such a great condition. They are playing against Dortmund and Stuttgart before the winter break and I hope they don't fail in those games. I wouldn't mind if it's Dortmund or Stuttgart to compete with Bayern, but from all those teams Leverkusen is really by far looking to be the strongest and most consistent. Dortmund is weird. They get celebrated one week just to play bullshit the next week.
Of course Xabi will use the international break as best as possible to analyze their future matches and fix the shortcomings in his squad. I hope they will continue to provide competition against Bayern Munchen this season, because we know Dortmund is unlikely to be expected to do so.

Dortmund and VfB are the real tests for Laverkusen after most importantly Bayern, but we have seen that Xabi squad was able to hold Munchen to a draw at the Allianz Arena previously, so I think Laverkusen will be able to overcome both of them later.

In the end Dortmund had to give up third place in the Bundesliga standings for VfB, their performance was very far from last season. I really didn't think that they would have to lose to VfB before, and on the other hand Tuchel squad must be fully alert if they don't want to lose their dominance this season.

These breaks usually interfere more with strong phases that teams like Leverkusen is currently having. These breaks are either good when a team is not doing very well or when it means some more time to recover for players who actually get a break. But most of the players are also on tour with their national teams and don't usually get additional breaks.

The game that Dortmund lost against Stuttgart was not only a bad result, but also a lesson that Dortmund should stop underestimating any team from the Bundesliga. They had only one shot on target in the game. Stuttgart had 22:5 attacks and 10:1 shots on target... You would think that Stuttgart played against some team from the 2. Bundesliga.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - 2nd Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 13, 2023, 01:35:48 PM
to be honest. these two results from yesterday do surprise me . that the promoted team elversberg wins in gelsenkirchen is a bit of a surprise.
i thought that schalke 04 with the new coach would win against the promoted team. at home and in front of over 60k fans ! but no.
they lose another important match and stay far down in the table . and congratulations to hannover . the one point is okay.
normally st.pauli should have won the match. st.pauli was the better team. but if you don't score goals you can't win. let's see if the hamburger sv can win in kiel today .
it will be difficult. if hamburg wins the hsv will be level on points with st.pauli at the top . but let's wait and see. today at about 3 pm we'll be smarter

This game accelerated their demise by quite a bit. Now they are slowly but surely getting stuck at the bottom of the table and the only positive outlook they have is that Braunschweig and Osnabrück are so much worse than Schalke. But really what can they expect with the second weakest defense in the 2. Bundesliga. The loss against Elversberg wasn't because Elversberg was lucky. It was a game that Schalke deserved to lose and I believe that they lack quality players. This isn't just some bad few weeks and a bit more training to solve these issues. As you said, losing in front of their own 60k fans is horrible and they can't leverage that great environment to play successfully.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 13, 2023, 01:14:54 PM

A quite meaningful win for Leverkusen because they managed to maintain their best form to stay on the winning track. Union Berlin is certainly not a difficult opponent for leverkusen because these two team have had quite different rallies this season where Leverkusen is at the top of the standings and Union Berlin is at the bottom of the standing. 4-0 is quite an ideal score considering that in this match Union was completely unable to threaten Leverkusen goal, Even from their play in this match of course Leverkusen did not provide space for Union Berlin to score.

Leverkusen possible target of winning a trophy this season was not their initial plan, but the match after match they have played makes us assume that Leverkusen will be a team competent enough to win the trophy this season. Bremen and Dortmund will be their opponents in the upcoming match and perhaps Xabi Alonso hard efforts to maximize his chances of getting 3 points will be tried to be stopped by these two team.
Xabi Alonso is really serious about competing with Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title this season, he's really trying to make sure his players remain in good shape and try maintainimg their winning streak every week,Union Berlin might be at the bottom of the league but sometimes most of these underperforming teams can't be so tough and take a strong team by suprise if they underestimate them, however Leverkusen did a good job by maintaining their position with a 4-0 victory,  they're getting stronger every week which is very necessary if they really want to win the league trophy.

So far they've been very impressive and they have to maintain consistency cause if Bayern Munich gets ahead of them it might seem difficult for Leverkusen to get ahead of them again, in their upcoming matches I think Werder Bremen might not be a challenge but the main challenge they'll face is from Dortmund which is another big team in the Bundesliga.

Another round with a few “strange” results, but I’m happy that at least for me there wasn’t a crash like in the last round  Grin
I'm happy for Bayer's record and amazed by Union, which finally dropped to last place. The distance to 14th place is only 3 points, but it is already difficult to believe that Union will get out of this situation. Fans of this club probably experience interesting feelings - playing in the Champions League and last place in the Bundesliga.

This time it paid off for me that we adjusted the scores for draws or otherwise I would less often go with a draw in those games. I think the strange results you mentioned are Gladbach-Wolfsburg and Stuttgart - Dortmund maybe? The other results are not really that surprising to me and to be honest, I went with Dortmund because I was sure that majority would pick Dortmund, but I thought that Stuttgart has a chance to win it.

But apart from the result I think the strangest game was Bayern - Heidenheim. The results are ok for Bayern, but really when Heidenheim ties the game in Munich in the 70' minute, something is still not going well. That should never happen.

Eigentlich ist es unnötig deswegen einen neuen Topic zu eröffnen.

Die Email ist eine Scam masche und es handelt sich um den selben Typ der auch schon bei Cryptopia Rescue dabei war.

Maybe it's because I'm a Liverpool supporter but I think Alonso has a huge part in this unity -- he displayed some of it as a player in La Liga, even before that with the Reds. Personally, I think it's a great sign of the times. Just don't be too hopeful, and I hope they assume rational because, as you say, they don't have a deep squad so results will get tougher to obtain past January (injuries, tiredness).

That's what I mean, the whole "construct" called Bayer Leverkusen is calm, concentrated, consistent and down to earth. In contrast to teams that can take the lead for a week or two or have a strong streak like Freiburg last year, Leverkusen seems to be in a more consolidated state. They also have their game against Dortmund at home, which gives them the big chance to play a perfect first half of the season.

But I still think, as you also indicated, that Bayern ultimately decides who wins the title. If they don't show any weaknesses this season, it is not like I am convinced that Leverkusen can go for 90 points whereas it is not impossible for Bayern.

No Osimhen = no party, sadly.
I knew he was out but I was thinking that Union Berlin is to weak, and Napoli decided to play to safe  Tongue
Congrats to you for making a brave move with playing against Barcelona, I saw you didnt play the same pick in Supebru  Wink
Well done mv1986 for taking the first place this round in Superbru with 28 points and six exact result predictions.

Thanks @notblox1! I did the same with  the picks on RB Salzburg in the odds-based pool and went for an Inter Milan win in the Superbru pool. I understand cryptofrka regarding putting up some own money for the sake of making more reasonable, rational decisions. But I disagree a tiny bit here because that is why it's good how the pools are separate pools and the Superbru pool is still the one where it comes down to making decisions that are much closer to what can realistically be expected. The odds-based pool is definitely an experiment and I am trying my luck there as you guys can see and it did work for Hhampuz. It is a format in and of itself. What cryptofrka said could actually also become a format, but you'd probably not fully eliminate the issue that some people do care less about putting up their own stakes than others.

We still don't have the final results yet. Maybe someone with a solid 20+ average per round will be the winner eventually. And it also gives an extra thrill to the pool. It's kind of an element that you don't get anywhere else, putting all your stakes on rather exotic outcomes and being able to win big in exchange for a reasonable upfront paid fixed fee.

Important Update

Dear Cryptopia Account Holder

You will have received recently an offer from Cogito to buy your coin holding in Cryptopia. Following a few questions through our help desk we have put together a few key answers to questions.

1. The agreement to purchase your coins for C500 Cog is a purchase regardless of your coin value under $500. So if you have $499 worth of coins you get C500, if you have $2 worth of coins you get C500. So you have nothing to lose.

2. If you have more than $500 worth of coins , you will receive C500 straight away and then a top up of Cog once we get the reconciled value from the liquidator.

3. You don't have to have successfully completed the liquidator’s verification process to be able to accept the offer.

4. Cog is a digital currency that can only be used in the Cogito economy. It is not able to be converted to fiat or moved to any exchange. The Cogito Metaverse is growing every day with many opportunities being developed all the time. Shortly there will be investments available; and in many countries there is a growing number of businesses accepting Cog.

5. The Cogito offer is specifically structured for those people who may have such a small amount it is not worth the effort or the verification process was too hard for a variety of reasons.

6. We are in court in New Zealand for four days starting 13th November to sort the distribution of coins and get some clarity on the process of the Cogito agreement. So time is against everyone, if you are going to accept now would be a good time to do it.

7. We believe now Cogito is the single largest coin holder by value and so we do have strong standing in the courts in New Zealand.

8. If you accept the offer and change your mind you have a 7 day cooling off period.

The link to selling your coins is here : https://principalityofcogito.com/cryptopiaform

The game constellations are becoming very interesting so early. Schalke - Elversberg is an important 6-points game because Schalke could make a huge jump forward and also get closer to the promotion zone, whereas a loss would increase the gap between them and another relegation zone candidate and it would bury their hopes again for a while to make the impossible happen regardless.

Holstein Kiel - HSV is of course another nice derby, if anyone favors the teams from the North and likes to watch 2. Bundesliga. Good to see that there is also something on the line in that game.

Well, draws only get you so far, but little by little the bird builds its nest Wink

It also depends how the draw ended. I feel a 4-4 is still alright, like I had last round against darxiaomi. But when you score 7 points and you don't get 3 points for that round, it is annoying.

Curious about your answers and whether we have a lot of equal ones. Hopefully lots of differences. That would ensure we'll have to look forward to a lot of sports action this week.

It's annoying indeed, but it's worse for my opponent Slissy I bet. He had advantage with 7-6 but Juventus really saved my ass.

I also hope that we have many different answers, ideally 5 or more Wink Cheers mate!

Hey mate, I think this evening put the nail in the coffin for you in this round. It started quite well for you as Brighton won against Ajax Amsterdam and I was quite sure that Ajax was about to improve not only in the Eredivisie, but also in the Europa League. But I was wrong. I think these "yes or no" selections when it is 1/X vs. 2 (win+draw vs. loss) are very often underestimated when there is an underdog playing against an apparent favorite. That's why I went with a couple of "no" answers. Though I thought that Fenerbahce is also going to be close, but I expected Ludogorets Razgrad to perhaps tie that game. They won it 2-0, which now gives me a 4-1 lead with only one different answer remaining. The question now is whether I will make you take another hit to your goal difference in the LOL question.

CasperBGD is also set to defend his 0 loss record against LTU_btc.

Snip

I believe Real Madrid still put Mbappe in their target list, but they are reluctant to pay the amount of money that PSG demand, because Madrid are desperate for a new world class striker as the replacement for Benzema. PSG use this Madrid's desperation to get the fee as high as possible, PSG also know that they need to sell Mbappe soon before he become free agent that makes PSG experience a big loss of money.

I dont think Jamal Musiala can be an alternative option over Kylian Mbappé because they have different profile between them.
Yes, you are right that Jamal Musiala is not the best option for Real Madrid to replace Kylian Mbappé. Musiala is a deep-place midfielder, Kylian Mbappé is a perfect striker, and Real Madrid needs a solid striker in the midfield. Already, Jude Bellingham has taken over and left no stone unturned, but Real Madrid's strike space is empty for a perfect striker, and I think Kylian Mbappé will do his best. So, Real Madrid should not make a mistake by signing Jamal Musiala, but should try to complete the transfer as soon as possible by adding Kylian Mbappé to their signing list.

Doesn't it depend on whatever goal Real Madrid is pursuing with a transfer of Musiala? I don't think they would sign Musiala instead of Mbappe. Real Madrid is probably trying to explore the market and see what high potentials there are for any position. Real Madrid will lose a couple of midfielders in the near future and while they are already set up quite well with younger players, I think that Musiala could still fit into the squad. However, I think there would be significant risk involved in a transfer for Musiala and not so much for Real Madrid. If they have him as a super talent sitting on the bench, it may not even cost them that much because they could sell him at a decent price if he can't make the breakthrough. But for Musiala it could mean tough times to leave Bayern Munich where he is fully integrated as a main player.
737  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-11-02] Infowars Host Alex Jones Lost 10,000 Bitcoin in Max Keiser's Quiz on: November 09, 2023, 07:29:34 PM

Particularly if you know that you are going to be discussing bitcoin, why wouldn't you at least bone up on some basics?  Or perhaps it was just an opportunity for both of them to get some press without having to actually do anything.

Did Max provide answers he would regard as correct?:

How many total bitcoin are there ever going to be in existence?  20,999,999.9769 , so slightly less than 21 million.
How often does the difficulty adjustment adjust? Every 2016 blocks, or 2 weeks, roughly
What’s the core hashing algorithm called? SHA-256
How often, on average, do new blocks appear?  10 minutes is the goal.
Is Craig Wright Satoshi Nakamoto? Lol.  No.

I am not so sure if someone like Alex Jones wants a lot of press these days when it comes to money. He is completely screwed since he is denied to use bankruptcy as an emergency exit out of the mess he has created for himself. I also don't know whether Max Keiser benefits a lot from being associated with offering 350,000,000 USD in prize money for a Bitcoin quiz to someone like Alex Jones Cheesy

Whatever the case is, I guess the idea was that Alex Jones would fail at the Bitcoin supply question I guess, Max Keiser would have probably come up with some different answer that he deemed right or wanted to hear (rounding error or whatever).
738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 09, 2023, 07:16:19 PM

Yes he is a key player and Muller is getting old so naturally Bayern needs someone fresh player and Musiala have been starting games for Bayern and has been getting used to it. I think Bayern needs a bit of depth at second striker or and attacking midfielder option. Anyway according to https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1722648503380230484, Musiala's return is to be expected around this month's end so not a big worry for Bayern.

Having more depth on the striker positions brings its own set of problems to the table. Usually no very good striker would want to sign a contract with a team that has signed Harry Kane. What is the chance of that player to play on a regular basis and there are rarely high level strikers who are fine with sitting on the bench. I think this is not really a problem that Bayern has because they can compensate for a missing striker for a couple of games. Bayern's problem was that they had no top class striker at all and tried to compensate for that by letting all of the offensive players give it a try. That's not a very conceptual approach to a fundamental problem that was screaming for a solution. I see more problems in the depth of their defensive player repertoire.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: November 09, 2023, 06:44:06 PM
Well done to the lot of you, enjoy the freebets. Disappointment in Der Klassiker and perhaps a sign of long-term deterioration but at least with Leipzig and Leverkusen this season we can tear up the old script of Bundesliga relying on Dortmund alone to stop Bayern.
~snip

Leverkusen plays as they can fight Bayern this season, but they are already known that they will lent down during the season
Leipzig already shows signs they can't winning week after week, and losing to Mainz is really disappointing

so, new title for Bayern is what it is expected, hopefully Leverkusen will prove me wrong, can't help not to remember Ballack generation looking at them now, but title is always too much to ask

Yes but I think what seems to be different this time is their steadiness and unity. The team is impressively well balanced and I think the only threat for them to experience a sustained downturn would be injuries. If they stay together like that and they are lucky enough to retain the core players in a healthy state, I believe that Leverkusen can stand up to Bayern for a long time. The problem is the difference in quality sitting on the bench. Bayern can compensate for injuries and suspensions on the highest level while Leverkusen cannot. At least not on the same level as Bayern.

Leverkusen also doesn't have a lot of luck, the wins are based on their performances and not on some lucky bastard 30 meter shots hitting the angle. That's when they can have a few good results and then luck fades and points along with it, but this doesn't apply to Leverkusen. It is exciting and hopefully we will have some title action until the end of the season.
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a “safe haven asset” on: November 09, 2023, 05:50:43 PM
A regulatory environment can be fragile, but Bitcoin is not fragile. People know what to expect from the network and the rules that are set in stone within it, but people can never know which party will be elected tomorrow, what their true intentions are for a neutral payment network not under their full control, and how laws that were passed yesterday will be interpreted by the judiciary tomorrow, and whether the laws will cease to exist because of a change in political sentiment or on behalf of executive order due to a changing political landscape.

I have nothing against regulation, but I think we can all observe in real time now how quickly consent on a topic, no matter the importance of that topic, can change.

But it's right that calling Bitcoin a safe haven according to the commonsense is maybe too early or plainly wrong for some people, while being right for others. It is definitely an asset class that plays a multifaceted role in our world now.

That's certainly true, mate. Bitcoin is resilient and impervious against government actions. Regulations are only meant to protect investors from scams and whatnot. They will only work on centralized exchanges and service providers, but not on the Blockchain protocol itself. If regulations become too tight, people will find other means to get access to Bitcoin. You can thank its decentralized and censorship-resistant design for that.

I think BTC will eventually become a "safe haven asset" as Gold becomes "a thing of the past". You'd just need to give it more time to mature. With institutional demand rising by the day, you can be certain BTC will be used worldwide during uncertain times. Who knows how far its value will go by the time this happens? Just my thoughts Grin

There is no action without a reaction ever in life. The question is how hard a reaction to an action will be and this depends on how much an action matters to someone in life or whether that action creates incentive for reactions. An easy example would be the creation of decentralized exchanges in response to overregulation and KYC processes for centralized exchanges. If regulation for Bitcoin becomes too tight and there is a market for privacy-preserving exchange of info, money, goods and services, those applications will be developed as there is sufficient incentive to go for it. That's why politicians are well-advised to think thoroughly about their actions before they shove regulations down the throat of the users.
