wallet not syncing,is there any on going issue?
regards

It may have something to do with seed nodes needing to be reset but I wouldnt try to transfer coins or do anything until further notification in case there has been a fork.Your wallet should still be staking though so try to keep your wallet online as often as possible with some coins staking. If it isnt staking open the console and type in  repairwallet
great now back to staking.
Thanks

Repairwallet won't get you back on the correct fork if coin has forked which I dont think it has. All it does is repair your wallet by removing orphans and fixing mismatched coins. The other thing that might be happening, also if you generate blocks before being synced to the network, you might get stuck. The last block is still over 10 hours behind so until things catch up you probably still wont sync so dont use your wallet to send coins yet.

Getting 7 connections today so there looks like we have a few new wallets out there.

ive got 3 on one and 4 on the other.  fyi

How many connections are you getting and is your wallet staking and synced because last block was almost 24 hours ago?Do the seed nodes need to be reset? There are 2 still online so maybe its just the times not matching??Block count is 99346 but nothing found since yesterday.

Does anyone know if there is an issue with the cointopay daemon?Has anyone had any contact from them??

I noticed a tweet about something but I dont have any contact from them

Nothing on the general contact email either.

I looked at it again and there are lots of similiar ones referring to almost every ticker on there

Guys on another note I will withdraw from the signature campaign I was using to raise funds for buy support as these things seem to attract unwanted criticism. After shopping around for the best rates recently I suddenly received negative feedback from someone claiming the signature campaign was some type of ponzi scheme and even though I withdrew immeadiately they still have some negative rep left on my trust rating.

It is more hassle than its worth by the looks of things and after over 2 years supporting the community and depleting almost all my funds helping out here all I really have left of any value here is my account.

If you are thinking of signing up for a signature campaign while posting on this thread then do some research first etc.

I tried getting some guy look at the code and see if can help us out with some upgrades but he seems to have disappeared.Wonder if he contacted anyone else here because I told him to pm any of us?

No one has contacted me.  lets get everyone and skype it sometime this weekend.

Just a reminder for everyone... I asked busoni to hold all of the coins in the hot staking wallet so that we can build up the community stake.

I got a message this morning from him and he thinks its beyond his skill set anyway so we will move on here.Anyway he wouldn't accept our coin as payment at this time.

I agree with you on the point of holding the community funds on staking and it helps the network of course.

733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: January 11, 2016, 03:27:56 PM
I dont there is any safe method to gamble apart from taking precautions that would include understanding the game you are playing and things like how much you can afford to lose.Precautions like wearing a crash helmet or condom would be pretty much useless though
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: January 11, 2016, 12:02:11 PM
Poker and horseracing and taking a look at binary options now and again
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] BitClick on: January 11, 2016, 11:59:40 AM
Isn't there already a coin called like clickcoin or something like that out there already.  I think it would be cool if there was  coin that the more you click on your mouse the more coin you get like proof of click.  That would be awesome and that was I was expecting from this coin since its called bitclick but it looks like from what you have said it is just a normal POW coin.

I think now that the thread has a few posts its time to start thinking about taking off the self moderation unless any of you have objections. Is this possible??

I don't have any problem with it being switched off because I don't think it was ever used anyhow. It should be possible to switch off the moderation at the first post somewhere.

I borrowed this from another thread but its interesting stuff and shows the possibilities for XBC since its open source.Take a look..

Sneak Peek at Bitcoin's upcoming killer app - Open Bazaar

Many Bitcoin developers and investors, including some the most powerful Venture Capitalists of our day, have stated that Bitcoin's long-awaited "killer app" could be a decentralized marketplace that uses Bitcoin.

Open Bazaar may well be that marketplace, a peer to peer network that isn't controlled by any company or organization. Instead of visiting a website, you download and install a program on your computer that directly connects you to other people looking to buy and sell goods and services, and the only payment option is bitcoin. Earlier this year Union Square Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz gave the Open Bazaar developers US$1 million in funding.

That's very interesting and doesnt seem like a whole lot of work to implement/integrate

Well we need to start working on new ideas because its getting fucking boring around here lately.Even simple stuff that gives us something to work at and look forward to getting done or else we are going to get fat and lazy or die from boredom etc etc etc
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin adoption on: January 10, 2016, 03:49:18 PM
What is wrong is the banksters adopt bitcoin in their system? I also do not see any problems of other coins to be used in banking system.

The whole point in the beginning was to break away from the banksters and any form of centralisation.

740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The altcoin topic everyone wants to sweep under the rug on: January 09, 2016, 08:59:20 PM
Cross-referencing and wondering why no one wants to rationally discuss this topic?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1218269.0

I would make that list on the OP a bit simpler for simpletons like myself. The questions look too formal/sanitised for the majority of peeps who tune in and I have looked at a few of your threads and they are interesting but some of the points I would compress a bit.Maybe something like

question= is it illegal to premine a coin and sell it through an ICO/IPO and then run off with all the raised funds and do no development leaving the buyers/investors/community swinging in the breeze?

answer=yes and if not it pretty much should be
