721  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Improvement - My Wild Idea/Suggestion. on: September 22, 2022, 06:29:07 PM
Unfortunately, at a second look, it's no longer that good imho, since this ignores the fact that some smart and worthy people may have a life outside the forum and will punish them for that. Or it ignores the fact that forum users did and will pass away and it will look ugly/strange to see this or that user has became newbie again, somehow ignoring his achievements.

When I first saw the post these exact thoughts came to my mind. Also, a user doesn't post regularly doesn't mean he is not active. Many users came to the forum to read other people's comments on their interesting topics. Earning merits should be optional and gratitude for contribution. The demotion system will force many people to earn merits in an illegal way.

I do not know if you still track this topic reply or not but I am dropping two of my post here.

1. You win or you learn.

2. Mistake I made till now investing on crypto projects.

I am a little bit behind in getting my full member status. I do not like to beg for merits but I won't mind  Wink getting some if you think my post has some sort of quality for your appreciation.

724  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what will happen after 21 million bitcoins are mined? (in layman's terms) on: September 22, 2022, 05:54:17 PM
Earning by fees will be the motivation to run miners long before the last few Bitcoins are mined. The last block reward will be 1 Satoshi for about 4 years.

Just thinking about what will be the price of BTC by then. 1 satoshi for 4 years is insanely low if the price of BTC hasn't reached an insane figure of numbers. I won't be there by that time but I am happy with what I have right now and felt lucky to see the raise of giants which will change the economy of our society for the next hundreds of years.

My horse riding days are behind me. Getting older and don't want to risk a Christopher Reeve kinda situation. Safer to drive around the property on a 4 wheeler John Deere Gator. And can carry more practical load than horseback.

4 wheelers can also be the cause of a broken neck. Wink

Jamie Dimon saying that Bitcoin is a decentralized Ponzi scheme can’t be good for the price in the short term. Longer term I think this could be the beginnings of signs that we’ve reached bottom. Maybe not the exact bottom, but when you’re looking back on a 10 year chart it will look like the bottom where you should’ve started buying and stopped selling.
More buy order and less sell orders, stashing my Bitcoin portfolio for the long term we wish to see this bottom once again 10 years from now when the fuds get intense that is an indication that the lowest bottom has been reached.  When you hear such negative comments about Bitcoin in a middle of a bear market then that shows that the anti-Bitcoin crusaders are losing the fight and their hold on the price is getting weakened.

If this is not the bottom then I do not know what could be. BTC start rallying from this level where BTC is right now. It came to its previous bull cycle ATH once again which could possibly be the ATL of this bear cycle. Though I still believe there will be some market manipulation to wipe out future positions but this is the actual accumulation zone we are in right now.

I heard that recycling is a scam, and it doesn't really happen on the scale that we had been told in the 70s... so there are various differences in the kinds of plastics that would NOT have much if any "recyclable" value... so then which kinds of plastics can actually be recycled.. and then are they sortable.. or are we just being sold a bag of tricks.. and there is not much if any value in recycling a large number of items that we previously thought to be recyclable?

Heard about a new kind of super worm that feeds those plastic that nature can not dispose of. Recycling cost more money than the value of goods it could produce. The only thing govt can do is to force companies to collect their plastic and recycle those by themselves Or force them to use any eco-friendly materials.

The way our environment is polluted by us it will be difficult to recover from it that easily.

(Future) global government, yes. Otherwise it makes no real sense to save the earth in the US while China (as a stupid, simple example) destroys it.
FYI The vast majority of pollution in China basically are caused by western companies, while the same are currently trying to greenwash themselves in the US and Europe.

Would be cool if you could deliver "heard about" soures  Wink
EDIT: Are you even sure that the worm doesn't just shit out the plastic at the other end?

Superworms capable of munching through plastic waste. I am not sure what these creatures shit out after eating plastic but if they are real then they can be a solution and a threat at the same time. Just thinking about what will happen if these creatures lose out in a big city. Most of the materials we use nowadays have plastic materials in it. Huh

Only blaming some specific country will not solve anything. 3rd world countries is also a mass users of plastic materials which goes straight in the nature after being used. Developed countries at least has some sort of dump management system.

729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 1D Trendline, 18th Oct is Final Date on: September 21, 2022, 10:16:04 AM
many experts have also said that Bearish will end in October, of course if you look at the chart you made,
indeed the Trendline until October is the determining support and resistance for Bitcoin,
yes we don't know whether Bitcoin will go up or even dump, because market sentiment is still very bad for bitcoin

Crypto winter is coming. It is not going to go up that easily. We could see a big accumulation zone from the whale and then a sudden dump to buy more from the last of the remaining diamond hands. In the bigger picture I am always bullish about bitcoin but this year it will be a hard one for BTC holders. I will not put in more money until the end of this year.

I think that is why I do not use a password manager. I keep my password in the safest place on earth(My mind). Though I do use an external device to keep my password safe in case I forget them which usually does not happens.
If your mind is your safest place than you are just a time ticking bomb waiting to explode, and it's impossible to remember hundreds of passwords, but maybe you are using one more revolutionary (bad) thing - one password for all websites  Tongue

It's not the same for all but a few have a similar password and I can remember all of them because I made them in such a pattern that only I can figure out what that password could be.

FUCK OFF with this institutional FUD.

This is the wrong place to push that line.

Take it positively. Bitcoin's bloody season makes investors rich. More opportunity for DCA.
732  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is Merit Gotten? on: August 26, 2022, 06:00:10 PM
This section of the forum is full of topics about how to rank up and get merits. You still haven't found how to get merits!!! I think a lazy ass like you doesn't deserve merit as an appreciation.

Do explore the forum and figure out the quality of merited posts and comments. Smart people do not ask for the way they created them.

734  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: in debt but want to invest. on: August 26, 2022, 05:48:08 PM
Do both. Split your wages for paying debt and invest as well. Totally stopping paying debt could anger your lender and totally stopping investing is not a good idea as well.

Another piece of advice does not sell your BTC to pay the debt. It's not a good idea to sell your assets this way. Instead, invest your assets somewhere to earn some passive income and use that income to pay the debt. In my opinion, assets should only be sold to make more assets other wise you are just wasting your assets.
735  Other / Meta / Re: Making a backup of this website with HTTrack on: August 26, 2022, 05:41:22 PM
I do not think we need every thread of this forum to archive. This forum is too big to do that anyway. Also, there are many threads that are full of spam and useless or not necessary for the future (bounty thread, altcoin section, gambling, speculation, etc).

You can archive sections like bitcoin, project development, and economics if you really think those will be useful in the future.

HTTrak is a great tool by the way. I have used it several times and works fine if you know how to do it.

$SPX 2W Timeframe - 2008 vs 2022

2008:
- 7 MA crosses 25 MA, market drops towards 100 MA.
- Retests 25 MA before further falling down 50%.

2022:
- 7 MA crosses 25 MA, market drops towards 100 MA.
- Retests 25 MA (Currently) with a very bearish candlestick.

Waiting for another 50% dip. These will be the best entry of my life.

Eventually all CEX exchanges will end up like this. You can't avoid KYC/AML laws. Best one could do is be based on some tax haven and hope they aren't forced by some supranational entity, but the way I see it is that even tax havens will be a thing of the past within the next decade or two. All exchanges that get big enough will get forced to comply. Add in the fact that they will remove cash. Basically you'll have no way out to the fiat world without KYC.

I think right now you can not get out of the fiat world without leaving any trace. You must have to jump into the crypto world through a fiat gateway that has your KYC. We are still forcefully connected with the fiat world.

Fiat has its limitations and crypto as well. There are many problems that crypto is solving that fiat can not but most of this has been done by some individual companies and users have to switch from different service providers or crypto companies to do some staff. The Crypto world is like a messed up unguided place with tons of projects. This unguided territory also makes this place boundless which speeds up the rate of new ideas and innovation.

Here is list of top indebted countries of the world.

Almost all big economic powers like USA, Japan, China are prominent in this list.

If whole world is under debt then who is the lender Huh

Source: VGraphs Facebook Page

Most of these loans are from their own people. Like the countries take loans from their people primarily selling bonds. Insurance companies and pension funds lend money to the govt by collecting bonds. Other countries, IMF, the world bank, and JAICA are also some sources of funds for the under develop and developing countries.

Is that only me or there are some other people who need to read your post a few times before clearly understanding the meaning of what you are talking about? The construction of your sentence is not readers friendly.

You are talking about banks and whales but why do they care about you? They will help you if you can show them the way to make more money. Your idea is that you can sell to them.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: PI Network! A huge trap[Warning!] on: August 13, 2022, 06:49:16 PM
I'm a bit surprised that pi has existed since 2 years ago, now in my country it's still booming, and many pi collectors are valued at $0.5 even though they haven't been listed on any exchange, for those who want to sell pi mainet can contact me via dm to get a candidate buyer.

I saw some people are buying at 0.6$ to 0.8$ in my country. I am not sure why some people buy it at this high price. Most of the PI coins has already been mined and its total supply is massive. According to its supply 0.5$ is an unrealistic value but if you want to really buy at that price then I have some PI coins for you which I mined early. How do you want to make the deal?
