721  Economy / Economics / Re: Farming and it importance to the economy on: March 21, 2024, 09:31:52 AM
The agricultural sector is the most important of all the other sectors in an economy, because we must eat to survive as human beings, and if the sector is neglected, then there won't be an active work force. Nowadays people prefer more convenient works like white collar jobs or just go into buying and selling of goods including agricultural produce, because nobody wants to do the tedious and dirty work of working in the farm. But what they don't understand is despite the fact that farm work can be hard, farmers are not hungry people and they make a lot of money during their harvest seasons, infact mechanized farmers are very rich and influential people in the societies.

My landlord is into fishery, he's has big fish ponds and he's making a lot of money from the business, infact more richer than most entrepreneurs that I know. I look forward to going into agriculture in the near future.
722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Everyone" is all wrong about Bitcoin... on: March 21, 2024, 08:31:53 AM

Almost everyone is wrong, and only because; Bitcoin is not at all about all the deep dips but the stabile growth with the high peaks. That's it and that's all of what most of them just don't get.
Bitcoin is not just about price. Bitcoin is not just about ups and downs.
If almost everyone is wrong about Bitcoin, it means that very few are right about Bitcoin and I think you are also part of the people who are wrong about Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is more than just a price and more than all the perceptions of its ups and downs because Bitcoin is an innovative payment network. We call it a well-known digital currency as a decentralized asset.
If many users use Bitcoin as an investment asset, that is another advantage that cannot be regulated by any party.

I don't blame you for your thoughts because the small number of people who are new to Bitcoin only look at Bitcoin in terms of price.

Yes, You're absolutely right about me. I have no clue what so ever this is the only value never ever to be ever any much more to get more of in the end, just because there's no way of producing any more. I'm the one not understanding, probably due to my age...  Smiley=)=))

I think that you're just complicating things more for yourself, obviously you're new in the crypto space and lack experience of how Bitcoin bull and bear seasons works, and you're in the right place to learn, I'll advise you not to reply any more comments except you have something meaningful to say. Don't be discouraged by the criticism that you're getting in this your topic, it's because you're not constructive, perhaps you need to focus on starting  threads with quality posts, or just make comments on other member's threads while you're increasing your crypto knowledge from experienced members in the forum and making research from other notable crypto sites.
723  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin and ghdarfi lybia situation on: March 21, 2024, 06:55:04 AM
The similarities between Russia and Libia, is that they both have rich natural resources that is sought after in the world today and Ghadafi was anti American, same with Putin, other than this, as far as warfares goes, you can not compare Libia with Russia. The fact is clear, Russia, is not a walkover in terms of warfare, you cannot attack them and go to sleep, they have deadly weapons in their arsenal, like the nuclear weapon, so that's where the big difference between these two countries lies. I think that it's dialogue and reaching a compromise that can end the Russian, Ukraine war, not not planning to attack Russia, because the aftermath will be disastrous.
724  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quick Curiousity!!! on: March 21, 2024, 06:04:53 AM

If you need percentages for understanding: with the total network's chance is on average 100% to find on average a block every 10min with roughly 600EH/s, our fictional solo miner's chance is only 0.0003333...% per block on average. If you only have one ASIC of above (which is already high-end) your chance is ten times less...

Bear in mind: mining is a totally random process. You could find a valid block in the next minutes or you won't find a block as solo miner in the next year(s), depending on your own total hash power. We can only calculate statistical probability to hit a valid block on average.

You just simplified it in your maths, even a layman will understand that joining a mining pool is better off than being a single miner, so there's power in synergy than being solo in mining. I've considered mining, but the epileptic electric power supply in my country is a discouraging factor to me, so let the OP consider factors that might not be favorable for a miner in his country, before embarking on the journey, otherwise let him stick to Bitcoin investment.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling BTC for Alt Coins? on: March 21, 2024, 04:43:13 AM
I think that investing and hodling Bitcoin in the bull run is the best investment decision a person who's into crypto can take is Bitcoin, because it's the safest and most reputable crypto coin, it might not give you what altcoins can give on the short term, but it won't scam you like most altcoins will. Except for top altcoins, investing in most other altcoins is a gamble, they have the potentials of giving you massive returns on the short term, but the problem is picking the legit ones among many scams, so learn how to carry out research, so your fund will not vanish with a shitcoin.
726  Other / Archival / Re: Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ? on: March 20, 2024, 02:40:50 PM
Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ?  Is there chance of major correction from here as prices have already peaked now.

It's not foolishness to keep accumulating Bitcoin now, it has surpassed it's previous ATH before the coming halving, and the bull run is just getting started, so buying Bitcoin now before it reaches the peak of a new ATH is a good investment plan. My prediction is that Bitcoin will reach $150k in the peak of bull run, that will be nearly double of it's current price now, so if any investor is hodling for the long term, then I believe that they should still go ahead and buy, and that'll be a smart move as far as I'm concerned. Currently Bitcoin price has slightly dipped, and it's a good sign to buy now before the halving, when price will start to surge again.
727  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Where do you stand on: March 20, 2024, 01:33:38 PM
Where I stand for di matter be say weda price de surge or e de dip before di halving, di important thing for me na to continue to de hodle on di long run till we reach the peak of new Bitcoin ATH. Unto say analysts wey sabi crypto matters de predict say Bitcoin price go reach $150k or above for new ATH, that na di reason wey I no too bother about di slight pump and dump along di journey. Aldo personally I for no mind if di price go dip a little more before halving, so dat more investors go buy, because after halving, scarcity go naturally make price to increase, so I de encourage everybody wey de do DCA method say make dem never tire, massive ROI de come for new ATH.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investment a necessity or a want? on: March 20, 2024, 11:58:06 AM
Nobody should pursue investing in assets ahead of their own health. What is the point having lots of money if you’re very ill or worse, dead. Buying cryptocurrency is great but I would not do so if I couldn’t afford healthcare. Your friend needs to sort out his priorities, especially if he has a family.

The key word here is priority, so it depends on what every individual will see as most important in their hierarchy of needs, if anybody unfortunately picks investment over their health conditions, then it'll be a very unfortunate choice, because they might not live to enjoy the returns on their investments. Investments falls into the category of secondary needs, so the basic primary needs has to be taken care of first, like food, healthcare, shelter, transportation to workplace, before you can talk about savings and investments. People need to think smart and put first things first.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Minimalism in Bitcoin would slow your accumulation process on: March 20, 2024, 10:56:50 AM
Not every person dare to use all of their money to buy Bitcoin at once, even people already use DCA strategy to minimize the risk, but they're still sold Bitcoin when panic and not able to hold for long term. Moreover not every people are rich i.e. have a lot money and can do anything that they want, most people are an employees which get paid every month, so if they buy Bitcoin for every month, they're using DCA strategy.

I believe in the OP theory that your Bitcoin profit is proportional to the amount of Bitcoin that you have, meaning that the more Bitcoin you're hodling equals the profit that you get when it's price is pumped. Most average income earners knows this and they'll have the willingness to pump their incomes into the investment, but the it's easier said than done, because they have other financial obligations, so the best way to attain huge accumulation is through DCA method. By taking out a fixed percentage from their earnings periodically, maybe weekly or monthly that they can be able to attain a huge accumulation of Bitcoin, that'll guarantee a massive ROI in bull runs.
730  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic growth and it effect on the standard of living on: March 20, 2024, 09:52:39 AM
For a better standard of living in any country, there has to be economic growth, both on the micro and macro levels, if individuals are productive and their government provides basic amenities and enabling environment for commerce to thrive, them there'll be prosperity in that economy. But in a situation where there's no enabling environment for businesses to grow, example is where there's conflicts and wars, where there's corruption in government and they don't provide basic amenities like electricity, accessible roads and empower small businesses with easy access to loans, them there'll the standard of living in such countries will drastically reduced.
731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New trader's must remember it. on: March 20, 2024, 09:12:06 AM
Thanks to the OP for sharing these important tips to guide traders to minimize loses, without aquinting oneself with the knowledge of trading and applying this essential tips that are shared in the OP, then the trader is good as gambling their trading capital. Due to the economic hardships that are being experienced in many countries, people are looking for alternative means of making money and they hear about crypto trading, thinking that it's a get rich quick scheme, and enter without adequate knowledge, then they'll lose all their money due to inexperience, so it's very important for new traders to understand that trading is hard and they need to learn essential tips like the ones that are shared in this thread.
732  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Democracy or Oligarchy? on: March 20, 2024, 08:03:35 AM
I believe that electoral fraud is more pronounced in developing countries, where a few individuals will determine who comes to power, they'll choose who will suit their unpatriotic agendas, and the country will go into election in the name of democracy. I believe that unless these evil cabals are flushed out and the best candidates that the people wants are elected into leadership of affected countries, then we'll never see true democracy.

Developed countries like the USA and england are role models and upholders of democracy, whom developing countries should look up to and learn how democracy is practiced, but I was really saddened during the last US presidential election, when Donald trump, alleged that the US election was rigged. Being an African, I thought that countries like the US has gone past that stage of alleging electoral malpractices, it was a very big blow for me, because I thought that if a big democracy like the US will still be talking of election rigging, then what do we expect from emerging democracies.
733  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help a newbie with links to useful threads on: March 20, 2024, 06:55:34 AM

Hello users, I was registered today and I don't seem to find my way around the forum because everything is confusing to me, I see a lot of boards for many countries, should I stick to my national board alone? this place is also like an organization right? And in every organization there are rules, do's and don't's guiding the organization right? I have a lot of questions and I don't want to stress everyone with my many questions hence the reason why I am asking for  links to useful threads. Thanks for your help.

About where to start, I believe that you're in the right place in this beginners and help section, your local board is another good place to start, feel free to ask questions in any thread that you don't understand and experienced members will guide you through. 734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most investors keeps off from AltCoins because they're not good crypto analysts. on: March 20, 2024, 06:14:37 AM

But investors who doesn't know about this AltCoin analysis would always have that wrong impressions towards AltCoins. Although AltCoins differs which could grantee you profits and reliability.

The fact is that investing in altcoins is a gamble, because of the risks of not really knowing which one that'll really fly and give you that massive ROI, because there are more scam projects than legit ones, so as you've said, it'll take an experienced crypto analyst to research and figure out if a project is scam. A crypto investor needs to learn how to research projects thoroughly before buying, if not they might see a hyped project and believe that it'll profit them as promised, then they'll lose their funds in a scam. I wouldn't recommend a newbie investor without experience to go into altcoins investment, except for top altcoins that have gained reputation, but it's always safer to start with Bitcoin..
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All of us are more important to Bitcoin than Satoshi! on: March 19, 2024, 05:46:18 PM

I'd like to hear your views on this issue:
  • Will the outcome of the lawsuit involving Faketoshi Craig Wright affect the value of BTC?
  • Does Satoshi's true identity matter to your BTC investment?
  • When will the community stop searching for Satoshi's identity?

Craig Wright, is just looking for cheap popularity, atleast if it's not for him impersonating Satoshi Nakamoto, I probably won't have heard about him from a faraway continent in Africa, and as far as I'm concerned whether he wins or loses in the lawsuit, it'll have little or no impact on Bitcoin. I also believe that Bitcoin has probably surpassed what Satoshi, envisioned when he created it, and it's doing just fine without his presence, so Craig Wright, saga won't affect Bitcoin.

As it is today, Satoshi, is better off staying anonymous, and his anonymity signifies the privacy that makes Bitcoin to be decentralized, with all due respect to him, I don't think that his presence can significantly change anything about Bitcoin now.

Satoshi Nakamoto, has become a myth in Bitcoin story, so modern day explorers will keep digging dip to unravel his identity, and I really don't mind it, because it'll make us not to forget the exceptional genius that created this valuable asset that is impacting lives positively.[/list]
736  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How are you doing it. on: March 19, 2024, 01:56:38 PM
From my understanding your first question be say you don de for di forum for a long time and nothing to show for it, maybe na in the area of merit and ranking up you de talk about? Frankly I no think say di merit system for di forum de fair, because na fellow members de merit each other and e no easy to please everybody with your posts, maybe members wey for see your post as quality fit no open di thread wey you make posts. So make you no relent, just try to de improve on more quality posts de go, hopefully di right members go see am and reward you with merit. Check for beginners and help board and you go see thread where you go de apply for your quality posts for merit support.

Your second question be wetin we de do to earn BTC rewards for di forum? You no suppose to ask dis kind question because no be today you join dis forum, anyway we de earn from signature campaigns, and you fit to apply too, for campaigns wey de accept member ranks.
737  Economy / Economics / Re: The Prices of Labour. on: March 19, 2024, 11:49:52 AM
We shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, sometimes looks can be deceptive because you can see a person that is shabbily dressed or driving a rickety car and you'd think that it's because they're very poor, you wouldn't know whether they have money but they're denying themselves of certain luxuries inorder to save enough to start a business or investment. On the other hand, you can see a person that is living a luxurious lifestyle, without any savings, in their old age you'll see them living in poverty , then you'll be wondering if it's not the same person that lived in riches years back.

As far as labor goes, if a worker's salary is not enough for them, then let them think outside the box, either get a better paying job or learn a skill to earn money by the side, then invest in a valuable asset like Bitcoin.
738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: March 19, 2024, 10:35:19 AM
Gambling is a place to make money, although it's not mostly the players that makes it but the bet and casino companies that takes it from the players, if it were not so the gambling companies will go bankrupt and the industry will die. So the few gamblers that will win at a perticular time, will be beacons of hope for the multitude of loosers to keep believing that gambling is not a scam, it's actually not a scam because every gambler knows that there's no guarantee that they'll win. This is why it's said that you should gamble with the amount that you can afford to loose, so that can have fun engaging in it, despite the fact that there's a higher chance that you can loose your money.
739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself on: March 19, 2024, 09:04:58 AM
3. Find a mentor, whether offline or online. You may not be close to this person but always study his trade

I will pick the third point and talk about it. With regards to finding a mentor. I'd say if anyone can pay for it please do. But when it comes to this, you have to find an accomplished executive trading coach who you will pay to learn. I tell you that your time with an accomplished executive trading coach will be worth every penny. In addition to an accomplished executive trading coach, you can add to it, a trading mastermind group which is actually a group of trading peers who meet to give each other trading advice and support. The become like your accountability partners. and making your learning journey to be easier and faster.

I don't have a problem about paying for something that is worth the amount, if I see an accomplished trader who has experience and can mentor me for a fee, if I can afford it, I'll personally don't look at the money that I'd have to pay, instead I'll focus on the value that I'll get for being mentored. Although a newbie trader needs to research and find genuine professionals who have years of experience that can impact them with the correct knowledge of crypto trading, if it requires payment, then pay and get the correct knowledge. The problem is that we have scam coaches who will collect your money and make you think that crypto trading is a get rich quick scheme, this is why you must try to find out the reputation of tutors. But if you can learn for free, then it saves you money.
740  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can divorced couple reunite?? - please share experience on: March 19, 2024, 08:14:36 AM
It's possible for divorced couples to reunite and probably remarry, although I've not witnessed it personally, but I know that it can happen, maybe in the case where they've tried other relationships and come to understand that they're more compatible and getting divorced was a mistake. I believe the reason why it's not popular for divorced couples to reunite even when they realized that it was a mistake to divorce in the first place is due to pride, what will people say when they see them together again after publicly going their separate ways. So I believe that even when they realize that they shouldn't have divorced they'll still want to move on, in the hope of finding someone else that'll fill the vacuum that the divorced partner has created.
