721  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Readability but inability to put in practice becomes investors challenges on: April 09, 2024, 07:43:32 AM
This forum is a fountain of knowledge and anyone with an interest to learn, increase their knowledge and apply what they've learnt will becomes their personal choice, although our levels of understanding might be different but if any member is determined to apply what they've learned, then it's very possible. I understand that people have this challenge or attitude of being carefree, even when they learn something valuable they'll not put it into practice, and before long they'll probably forget how to utilize what they've learnt, this is not a good habit. Everybody needs to be proactive in this forum, receive knowledge from experienced members and give back to newbies, then try to practically apply atleast one aspect of what we discuss in the forum, either in the areas of investments or trading.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The outcome of merging traditional finance and decentralised finance. on: April 09, 2024, 06:40:32 AM
Would not decentralized finance lose its core value by merging with traditional finance? Even though some people might be into this idea, i know for a fact that a lot of people would not feel comfortable participating with a supposedly decentralized finance but authorities have access to the system it might also just be too confusing to people decentralized finance is already confusing to others as it is but to merge centralized finance with it it begs the question of why not just make it entirely different or separate? Both has pros and cons but merging it would not attract more people, i believe
Merging decentralized finance with traditional finance will not make financial sense because they're two opposing sides, one is centralized while the other is centralized, they serve different purposes, and merging them both will remove their core values. If this is done it'll bring more confusion than good, so they're better off serving their purposes differently, cryptocurrency is better off being decentralized and banks activities are traditionally centralized, that is the way they were created to function.
723  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The Birthday of bitcoin founder. on: April 08, 2024, 04:54:32 PM
As Satoshi Nakamoto, choose to remain anonymous, I no think say im birthday go get any relevance for Bitcoin matter, because e no get any effect on di price, im no go throw any bash or give away BTC rewards. But I no go mind if we go get one special day every year wey we go take de celebrate this entity wey don touch many lives with dis Bitcoin wey im create, so dat di memory no go die, just like christians de celebrate di birth of Christ for Christmas, evendo say no be December, 25th, dem born am for dis world. E de good to de celebrate people wey don make impact for dis world, weda dem de alive and wen dem don die.
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your top performing altcoin this year so far?? on: April 08, 2024, 04:14:10 PM
Ethereum has been on the number one spot in the altcoins ranking and it's mentaining the lead, but now Solana, is the new toast that investors are gaining so much trust and everybody in the crypto space are talking about it, so for me it has to be these two. Solana, is gaining a lot of reputation because of the many projects in it's network, plus it's relatively fast transaction time and low transaction fees, it comes highly recommended in this bull run. But the bull run is just getting started and any altcoin can still step up their game and become the topmost in their hierarchy.
725  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: April 08, 2024, 02:48:34 PM
This goes to show that ideas and visions are not enough to create wealth, they're foundations to start the journey of success, so what really creates wealth is the available tools or resources to actualize the ideas or visions. This is like the story of the guy who has written a book on how to become reach but is looking for money to publish and promote the book, very ironic, so despite his ideas on how to make money, he still needs money to print and promote his project. This is why the richest people are not the smartest people, they sorounds themselves with smart people, collect their idea, implement them and become richer.
726  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull has Started But Not Yet ATH. on: April 08, 2024, 02:05:50 PM
Bitcoin bull run has obviously started and we're still in it's early stage, we're looking at a massive bull run in this season because of the Bitcoin ETF that has propelled price to surge, hopefully we're going to see a new ATH at a peaked price of $200k. For the first we have already withnessed a new ATH before halving, this is majorly because of the ETF approval, therefore the previous halving patterns didn't apply where new ATH happens after halving. It's not late to continue accumulating Bitcoin, because we're going to see a massive ROI before bear run starts.
727  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How far can BTC go before halving? on: April 08, 2024, 11:34:32 AM
Halving is just some days way and I am not interested in the price of bitcoin before halving before the next halving. What I am looking for now is the price after halving and I am expecting the price of bitcoin to increase. As for the price before halving, I do not know what it could be but I do not think bitcoin will go more $73000.
The halving is almost at hand and I think that it'll make more sense to be looking beyond it as it relates to Bitcoin price, what happens after the halving should be where price speculations focus should be now, although the Bitcoin ETF has changed most naretive of the previous halvings, example is seeing a new ATH before it. My speculation is focusing on what price can be at the end of this year, and I'm hopeful of seeing nothing less than $100k, and in the peak of bull run sometime next year to see ATH near $200k.
728  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel committing Genocide on: April 08, 2024, 10:45:08 AM

It would seem to me this is a new stage of the escalation against the people in Gaza who are fighting so they won't starve, if international voluntaries are getting killed this way, it will only exacerbate the famine as nobody will be willing to take risks to bring food to those who are most in need of it.
I'm very saddened about what is happening in Gaza, how innocent civilian lives are being lost everyday, and the war is not looking like it's going to end anytime soon, the IDF and Hamas, are probably not much affected by the bombardments like the unarmed civilians that are being killed as collateral damage. This resent incidence where innocent aid workers were killed is very uncalled-for, they were neutral in the war and were going to cater for the basic needs of the innocent civilians in Gaza, and I won't blame anybody that thinks their vehicle was not hit by accident, because they definitely alerted the IDF authority of their mission. The aim might be to discourage helps to get to get to Gaza, we'll never know.
729  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful about some messages to your DM on: April 08, 2024, 09:58:25 AM
Reading through the quote looks genuine, but then almost all scams will look genuine or legit from the start, so it depends on individuals preferences, if they'll like to explore further or just ignore the link. In your own case you don't want to take chances to open the link and actually get to know if the sender has a genuine interest or if it's a scam, so you're staying on the safe side and I wouldn't blame you for taking such a decision, however the project might still not be a scam, since you didn't explore further and there's no proof of it being a scam. I'm skeptical too about clicking unfamiliar links online because of scams and hacks, so it's ok to be cautious.
730  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Do you be in reincarnation? on: April 08, 2024, 08:48:21 AM
I was told after death people do travel to another place that they are not been known there to live before rapture. I want to know if there is any sure thing, because I don't believe in such.
Because if you do not remember your previous life, then in the next life you will not remember this one either. So what is the practical use of believing in reincarnation?
I ask myself this question too when I think of the concept of reincarnation, I wonder what it's essence is if we can not get even the slightest glimpse of a previous life, atleast to guide our faith in the belief of a future reincarnation. As far as I'm concerned we don't need to worry about whether we'll reincarnate or not because there's no proof of it, there's so much to worry about in this present reality.

In my tribe in Africa, they believe in reincarnation, mostly the elderly ones, because the modern youth are discarding the belief, my late father used to sometimes call me the name of his late uncle, he said that I'm the incarnation of his late uncle. My tribe believes that dead relatives always reincarnates and comes back to the family by being reborn into the house of any extended family, so when a child is born they consult oracles to know which dead family member that has reincarnated.
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arcblock - anyone else get in early? on: April 08, 2024, 07:41:20 AM
Arcblock continues to rally and has just reached new all time high of $2.88.

It is becoming very tempting to start taking some profits but as we are not even at the halving yet I have to remind myself this can go a lot higher over the coming months and not to cash out too much too soon.

It's impressive that archblock, has reached a new ATH and as we're entering Bitcoin bull run that drives altcoins to also bull, hopefully this project can pump massively, I hear that it's price surge could be as a result of their expected airdrop. It's also good that you've recovered your investment capital, so you're in it for the ride and not much to loose if it suddenly starts to dip, that's a smart move. Projects like this restores hope in the altcoins division, that they're not all scams.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investment a necessity or a want? on: April 07, 2024, 06:07:24 PM
It is am obvious fact there are a lot of coins coming in to the market and Bitcoin halving is so close and alot of people are also diving in to the  market, but some thing actually triggered me creating this thread which is where I got the attention from, some one very close to me has been prioritizing coins involvement other than his health care. What are your option on this?
This should be balanced, and it should be based on your financial capacity.nvestment is a want of course, and if you really want a better life then you might consider to do some investments or even have your own business.Health is a necessity that we should not ignore while we are aiming for our dreams because health is wealth and your money is useless if you are not healthy anymore. So before you invest on any thing, make sure you invest with yourself first.
Very true that health is wealth and your savings and investments are useless if you're not heathy, therefore you must prioritze your health and basic needs to survive before you can think of investment, otherwise you might not be happy or alive to enjoy the ROI of your labor. For an easy investment plan it's important to have a plan of DCA method where you can take periodic fund from the budgeted amount for your investment, in that way you must've mapped out an amount for unforseen expenditures that'll go into savings, remember that savings and investments are not a do or die affair.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network: A failure? on: April 07, 2024, 05:29:48 PM
Lightening network is yet to become popular and adopted in majority of Bitcoin transactions, despite it's existence for many years, the major reason that I hear regarding it is that it's complex to understand and people needs a simple transaction process for their Bitcoin. Couple of months back when transaction fees were so high I was expecting lightening network to get a massive adoption, but it didn't and I'm concluding that it has failed to a large extent, although we can't write off LN yet, hopefully their dev. teams will hopefully upgrade it to be less complex, because that's the main reason that I hear from the average crypto holders.
734  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be cautious when copying wallet addresses on: April 07, 2024, 01:41:17 PM
I think that the best precautionary measure someone who is sending Bitcoin from one wallet to another is to double check to confirm if it's actually the correct address that is being sent. It's quite a task to do this but the benefit of being sure that you're not sending to a wrong address is worth the stress, because if your transaction is confirmed, then there's no going back, meaning that the Bitcoin is lost. You'll not know when your phone has been compromised and totally relying on clipboard to paste your accurate wallet address can be quite costly.
735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC to Tether for percentage gain on: April 07, 2024, 12:33:08 PM
So you basically want to sell for fiat and then if bitcoin goes lower you buy it back. You use the same amount of fiat but you buy more bitcoin because its cheaper. Sure this is a great way of doing things as long as we are in a bull market. But what will you do if you sell, and the price keeps going higher and higher? Or you sell and it goes lower and lower?

Best is just to hodl if you think it has more growth long term. This type of scalp trading never works out. Especially for new traders. You might get lucky once or twice and get a better average of your bitcoin holdings but eventually you will sell at the wrong time and buy at the wrong time.
The method sounds very profitable in theory but in practical it's not quite easy, because as you said, what if you convert your Bitcoin to stablecoins and price keeps going higher, that means that you're not going to miss out on the increased price profits, but I guess the method will be more profitable if price keeps dipping, because when you sale you'll have more Bitcoin. If it's an investor that's holding the Bitcoin, for long term purpose, then it's better just hodl the Bitcoin, knowing that on the long run, the price will always hit new ATH.
736  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Would Anyone Be Against Self Defense? on: April 07, 2024, 11:43:07 AM
Self defense is important when it comes to protecting oneself from attackers, because your safety and staying alive can depend on how you protect yourself. When it comes to protecting oneself with firearms, it then becomes a sensitive matter, because inasmuch as I advocate for self defense, I wouldn't support that everybody can handle firearms, there must be strong rules and regulations that will guide the use of firearms and holders must be made to understand the consequence of violating such laws. If everybody carries firearms to protect themselves, some will abuse that right and use when they're perhaps having an argument with another person, I believe that killings will be on the increase. Holding firearms will necessitate in areas and communities where there's constant attacks by criminals.

738  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Bringing brilliant ideas into reality on: April 07, 2024, 09:34:59 AM
Today I am happy to share the result of 3 rolls of shawarma and two educated minds. I worked with my gym coach and the relentless bright minds at Bromuno and we came up with Macoach. It is our very first product to reach the production stage.

What do you think of it?

I don't understand what "Bromuno" or "Macoach" is, nor how you got to the stage of production, looks like you're still under the influence of the drink!!!
I neither understand what either of them means but the point of the thread is that great things starts from small beginnings which means that sometimes thoughts that seems insignificant can end up being solution to a problem and we shouldn't just discard any innovative ideas that crosses our minds. Before Satoshi Nakamoto, created Bitcoin, I'm sure that the concept was just a thought until he began to see the potentials of it and how to invent it to become a reality, also the geniuses that thought about the possibilities of creating electric bulbs, aeroplanes and computer, it was all thoughts until they eventually made them to become realities. The human mind have so much capacity to make almost everything to happen, but most of us are too lazy to put in the brain work.
739  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: School fees hike on: April 07, 2024, 07:36:08 AM
...
Students they vex how this man go just come one day increase school fees reach the amount of money way e reach to buy some piece of land for some local areas, abi e good like that?
I thought there was an approval for students loan that the government claimed to want to implement then, so what happened?
It is just sad how the youths gets to struggle for almost everything that are normally supposed to be a right and the government will still expect upon having a job to fund their coffers with taxes that they use to fund trips and vacations abroad.
Another annoying thing is the fact that the police don't even go by the law in trying to contain a riot or stop one from happening.

Does the Lagos state university not belong to the governing body of ASUU? Aren't fees supposed to not be more than a certain limit considering the economy of the nation?
I no even know how far about dat student loan matter, weda dem later approve am or not, because talk is cheap for dis country, dem go enter power and give us plenty promises and we go come get false hope, na implementations be di problem for di country. Di hardship wey people de face for di country no concern dem, and den no de happy say di children of di poor people de enter university to rub shoulders with dem children, and di only way to frustrate di poor students na to de hike school fees so e go de out of di reach of dem poor parents. Na only God, go help di poor masses for dis country.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MUMU the Bull, the next Shiba?? on: April 07, 2024, 06:50:03 AM
You’re not going to get a definitive answer here or anywhere else for that matter because nobody knows what the next meme coin is that will go parabolic & change lives until it does that kind of move. The fundamentals look good for MUMU but nobody can give you any guarantees. Invest a small amount in it, take a risk but don’t over allocate.
This is the crypto market and we can only hype any project but nobody can actually know the next doge or Shiba Inu in the memecoins category, any new meme that wants to step up it's game and take over will have to proof it and we'd accept it as the head. I'm hearing about this mumu token for the first time and funny enough it means foolishness in my local pidgin English, anyway it takes nothing from as it's fundamentals looks good like you said, so we'll just have to wait and see how it goes. Let investors remember not to get carried away and invest the amount that they can afford to loose, because memes are risky investment.
