721  Other / Off-topic / Re: How long have you spent on-line today? (Daily Thread) on: December 27, 2015, 06:12:54 PM
so far only abut 2 hours, had a late sleep in lol
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Radeon R9 NITRO 380x Better than a R9 290 on: December 27, 2015, 06:05:24 PM
If you do not pay hydro, and stick with X11-X15 coins, you may one day (in the far future) reach ROI of the purchase cost. However, as stated above, GPU mining is damn near dead at this point. (unless you have the ability to code a gpu miner for a cpu coin...)

Ouch. I know.
Just asking if r9 380x is better then r9 280x/290.
It's a rebrand, but same hashrate and low power consuming.

Then I apologize for misunderstanding Smiley Ya it seems better IMO simply due to a lower TPD (total power draw)
According to http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-380X-vs-Radeon-R9-290 theres not only a good difference in TPD and clock speeds, but the 380 is actually ~150$ cheaper at amazon Smiley
723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: abnormally high number of blocks generated on: December 27, 2015, 06:00:51 PM
Ok, so, reading through this thread, theere doesnt seem to be much of a consensus here on what is causing this. Some seem to believe it's a new farm/chip being tested, while others say its simply an expected anomoly.

Both, seem to make sense, or at least be theoretically true.... so which is it?
724  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Codacoin.com - Bitcoin Tools on: December 27, 2015, 05:53:11 PM
Very nice design Smiley I can't think of anything else specific that you might need! Maybe direct links to the core wallet? Even that though isnt reallly necessary, well done !

So it's a lending system, without the worry of payback, where the membership fee is to be a lender at least one time?
727  Economy / Speculation / Re: Quitting trading and doing btc info blackout again. on: December 27, 2015, 05:45:43 PM
Based on your description (lost sleep and productivity) you've definitely made the right choice, and keeping a portion of BTC just iin case..... another wise move IMHO

731  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Physical Bitcoins & Litecoins for sale – UK Based Seller on: December 27, 2015, 05:29:08 PM
I would also like to know the cost on the 1-5 LTC loadable coins.... any proof. If youd prefer to do it through PM that would be fine, also, how much for the red aluminum BTC ones?
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of burn addresses for altcoins (provably unspendable addresses) on: December 27, 2015, 02:18:54 AM
Interesting.  What is the point of sending coins to these addresses in order to destroy them?  Is it to boost the value of the remaining coins?  I'm not sure I understand the purpose.  It would seem to me that if you loose too many of any given coin, it would limit adoption somewhat though I do understand the "scarcity" argument.

I'm in the same boat here, I don't quite understand the use of this? maybe in a situation like XPY where stakers 'accidentally' had the wrong rate and other such blunders, or possibly in the interest of controlling the supply?

It may be better to explain to those not familiar with these things exactly the use of destroying coins, instead of whether or not 1/2^128 matters? (which really, it doesnt with current computing powers, unless using a qc as stated above)
733  Economy / Economics / Re: This is how 0.037 Bitcoins looks like in Venezuela on: December 27, 2015, 01:55:40 AM

734  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Guide to absolutely PASSIVE income, no coding no hosting needed, setup in 30 min on: December 26, 2015, 06:55:38 PM
what level of 'passive income' are we talking about? 1$/day? 10$/day? Is it US, BTC , PayPal?? I'm very intrigued, but do too being screwed many times here on BCT I'm slightly skeptical. 10$ is a fair asking price however if it works.
735  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My set-up to heat house using bitmain S7 on: December 26, 2015, 06:47:36 PM

736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ❤❤ BUNNYCOIN | Active Development | Community Charity | New Events ❤❤ on: December 26, 2015, 06:45:08 PM
Love the graphic, and all-in-all a very 'cute' coin. However in the future you may want to think of re-branding to a less 'cute' and more fitting name/logo. Can't personally see myself asking to be paid in 'buns' lol

That being said, it looks like the dev team and community are very active, and have some neat things on the horizon. Also, judgin by some of this thread, they have no problem standing up and speaking out against trolls for their work Smiley

Will be watching for sure.

740  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] Petition To Delete The ANN Section on: December 26, 2015, 03:38:10 AM
I agree 100% about the influx of sh*tcoins in the past 1-2 years, however, I think a full removal of the ANN section is way too extreme. Granted, 1/1000 coins are actually good ones..... but is that not the same with damn near anything on the internet? Dvd's, Mp3's, jailbreaks, rooting software, anything cracked, windows iso's, driver file, etc, etc, etc. Anything online is a crapshoot. The point is to allow that 1/1000 developers to actually have somewhere to release their work.

The idea of charging a fee for listing (as most exchanges do) is a much better way of slowing the spread of this scamcoin virus. Make it any amount, 5$ or 5 BTC, just don't stop the creativity of new devs and enthusiasts.

Yes, we will have to ride out this sh*tcoin wave, but IMHO thats a far better fate then having a stagnant community that does not accept/facilitate change and new development.
