Hi gimme_bottles. True to his word, evoorhees has sent me tracking information as he said he would. If all goes well we should see a modest increase in mining revenue from the new hardware on Tuesday and benefit fully from the increase on Wednesday. I will be working on running new circuits and adding a new network switch to accommodate the Avalons today or tomorrow depending on available time. I'll post an official news item upon receipt of the hardware.

Cheers.

Thanks for your explanation, but I know I'll have to do my research before buying any shares. Not trying to waste Creativex's time, I'm just trying to understand. That's why I said before anything else "Before I continue, I'm not trying to troll or anything, I'm just trying to understand."

Hi guitarplinker. The best resource currently available for bASIC-Mining is this thread, this forum, & our spreadsheet. I believe if you read through the available information you'll develop a better understanding of the workings of bASIC-Mining. I have limited time this weekend, but will try to address any remaining questions you have in detail.

Cheers.

The difficulty is killing everyone, including stocks such as bASIC. I read earlier today that any BFL device that arrives later than September 1st will be unprofitable with the current difficulty rising trend.

Unfortunately that isn't just affecting just BFL customers, it affects bASIC and all other securities or similar. I think the way they should be focusing on now, is using sites like Middlecoin, or multipool (when they implement their auto-exchange feature) and using GPU's for mining. I know they're highly in-efficient, but they can generate more profits mining than ASICs can, I never thought I'd say that, but I guess things change, aka the difficulty of bitcoin mining.

Hi guitarplink. I find this line of thinking questionable. Difficulty will go up until mining is no longer profitable for those with inefficient gear and/or high overhead. It cannot go up far beyond this point because many(most) will stop mining which will cause difficulty to fall. While the pre-order madness has created a market distorting force, it will not last forever. If you skim the forums here you will note a growing resistance to the risky pre-order model. bASIC-Mining is well capitalized and IMO well positioned to weather this storm.

We're mining with GPUs now on Middlecoin...they earn next to nothing. They're nowhere near as profitable as ASICs. This will not change in the near future.

Cheers.

I'm travelling today and as such have queued up a payment equal to pps output. I will settle any difference between this and actual output and add/subtract it from tomorrow's disbursement.

Cheers.

There have been some high profile IPOs that have absorbed a lot of capital recently. As these companies are not yet expected to deliver results their share prices are largely unaffected by the rapidly rising difficulty. This will change over time as they'll eventually have to execute or capital will flow away from them. Obviously this is beyond my control. I can only continue to deliver results and wait for market sentiment to change. Having a yield above 20% makes this easy for me, but you'll have to make your own decisions based on your own comfort level.

Cheers.

Nothing against John or his company, but pre-ordering mining equipment that has an "anticipated" delivery date more than eight weeks away immediately following a 35% difficulty increase sounds bonkers. What's the refund policy btw? Payment options? A few weeks late in this environment could easily be the difference between profit and loss. Has any vendor yet delivered product on schedule?

Expressing valid concerns = trolling?

This *IS* starting off like a bfl thread...

735  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: August 15, 2013, 05:17:06 PM
I ordered a BFL SC Single back in June of 2012 and did receive my order last week. It is not a scam but I would advise applying some common sense when investing into a new order today.

I was with you until you typed that. How do you figure it's not a scam when you were told you'd receive your order in October, November, December of 2012 and you instead received it in August of 2013...some nine months late?

Could you post the BTC address used for middlecoin on the spreadsheet?  Would like to see how is performs since that is how it is tracked on the site.

Hi djjacket. I sure can, I'm using the address in my sig( 1Hfp99tugY4H5FYEoM3hj4JDLzShzZ9ifB ). Also I've added middlecoin to the spreadsheet for easy tracking and will be including that information in daily updates going forward. GPUs are not very effective any more and if I didn't need a computer to feed the bfl gear I'd probably opt to just shut the GPUs down. The tiny amount of BTC they're producing isn't likely worth 1c higher temps being fed to the minirig and singles.

Cheers.

The silence is deafening here. I'm out until there's some solid info from management.

I don't understand why you would put BTC into LAGCOIN (which is GARDEN 2.0) in the first place.

I bought into this IPO because I thought it was attractively priced and had a good risk/reward profile(I did not feel the same about BTCGarden), but you cannot properly assess risk/reward without accurate and timely information and all I hear from management is crickets.
740  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 14, 2013, 05:04:49 PM
Same risks as an investment in BTCGarden, but at a more favorable price. The chips may or may not work, they may or may not be deployed on time, etc...

I left with a nice profit. That'd not have happened had I invested in that other IPO. Still I'd likely not have sold my entire position if management would just keep us posted. Hopefully they're all too busy working on those chips to even have time to let us know what's going on...though I thought that's what swede was brought onboard to handle. It's rather disconcerting.

Cheers.
