721  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Faucet Business on: February 14, 2017, 12:21:48 PM
When google adsense stopped paying to faucets that business was over. Now only a few well known ones are making profit if you want to start new one it will definitelly fail.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cpu mining with office laptop - facts on: February 14, 2017, 12:16:24 PM
So basically if you run your laptop 24/7 for 30 days, after paying for electricity costs you are making 1-2$ profit at low power cost (0.06$/kWh) . So as expected it's not profitable at all and not to mention that laptops are not made to be ran 24/7 and that can seriously damage your hardware.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Advice on getting back into GPU mining on: February 14, 2017, 12:11:35 PM
Depends on your electricity cost. If it's low I would sell everything other than r9 390s and if it's high I would just sell everything. You can still get some money with that cards but efficiency is of course not as good as 470.  You can also look at it this way, if you don't care about electric costs you already have hardware so you don't have anything to lose really
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much $ can my laptop make on: February 13, 2017, 10:58:24 PM
Hey there,

i got a

- Intel i7 6700k
- 16 gb RAM
- GTX 980M

which altcoin (should be kinda stable too) would be preferable ?
electricity cost is negligible

As other said mining with laptop is not really recommended and not a lot of people do it so It's really hard to find some info online about mining profits for that hardware. Just download miner and get speed. Put that into some online calculator and you will see yourself
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoin Should I be Mining? on: February 13, 2017, 10:56:26 PM
First of all if you are mining for profit forget about it. CPU mining is not profitable with any CPU because basically electricity costs are going to be much higher than your profit. About gpu mining again, that GPU is very low end and I'm not even sure if just running your computer will be more expensive than what you will get. In short, if you just want to see how it will go without making some profit, you can mine Monero

Hey, thanks for the reply! I'm not expecting any profit with Monero or Ethereum, or I guess any altcoin really. I was just wanting to see (or speculate, rather) how long it would take to earn (ignoring costs here) around $5.00 or so. Just for fun, really.

Well I cannot really speculate what would hashrate be because you have well, not really popular mining hardware and no one is really posting info for that. Only option is to download miner see how much hashrate are you getting and put that into online calculator. You will see your earnings per hour/day/month...
726  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Sell] 2 Methods to make 200$ A day without any investment ! No scam ! on: February 13, 2017, 10:51:36 PM
I have a question , if you are really making 200$ a day why are you selling your methods for 30$ ? I mean please don't say that you just want to make more money because that is bs. If they are really working you would keep them private.

728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cheap litecoin mining asic? on: February 13, 2017, 03:13:08 PM
Has anyone found cheap (£30-£50) litecoin mining. I am new to litecoin mining and right now im using a gpu(ik its not profitable.) I can only find hardware for bitcoins. Correct me if i am wrong but i don't think that would work.

Litecoin is using scrypt algorithm. Scrypt miners are usually very expensive and even if you got one, almost every scrypt coin is more profitable to mine than litecoin
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which GPU , please help on: February 13, 2017, 02:16:23 PM
Nitro + does have better cooling. What I would recommend is that you go for 4gb version if price differece is high between 4gb and 8gb version.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC vulnerable to 51% attack? on: February 13, 2017, 09:51:21 AM
Yes it's true but the ETC CRIMINAL COIN supporters don't want you to know the true. Anyone hodling a bag of this shite deserves to be fleeced by the criminals.

Not really.By saying that you are saying that ETH is in fact criminal because ETC delivered what ETH wanted to do but failed on their promises
731  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining? on: February 12, 2017, 01:52:17 PM
Genesis is scam. yeah they are paying to users but what they don't tell you is that they have rights to terminate your contract if it's no longer profitable for them. So all that "forever" and x years contracts with small hash will eventually be terminated. And even if you purchase x amounts of hash (larger) it will take years to hit ROI
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crazy private mining software on: February 09, 2017, 06:33:41 PM
I have only been mining 6 months. The only private miner there is actually proof of sold to 1 private buyer. The miner gave around 34.5 hash on eth. As it was an eth miner. Now a month or so ago it may have been worth what the buyer paid. Now with the price of dcr, even this miner would be less profitable that dual mining. Congratulations to the seller. I would love to know the cost, just out of curiosity. Smiley
You can not code a gpu to have more cores, threads ect than it physicial has. But i know a hardware trick that does. Nanana Smiley That only work on a very few specific cards. Requires soldering and without a doubt voids any warranty. Wish I could share. Since, I am not a coder. That is all I have. SRY.
If you can really do this so you have just proved my theory...congrates Smiley
rx 480 can do 28-29 on eth so 34 is improvement but not 2-3 times faster as you say. I don't understand why is it so hard to image that someone can buy a warehouse and a lot of miners and get that high hashrate you see Smiley
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Large scale GPU mining, OS and miner selection on: February 09, 2017, 05:34:23 PM
I'm surprised, you guys are all favorable to Ubuntu compared to other options. I tough the community was more divided. Large farms represent many rigs and if they are mostly on Linux, then I don’t understand why Claymore is releasing his miners for Windows first and then much later for Linux. He would have more fees by doing the opposite.

Nobody have good things to say about windows?

It's easier to overclock and manage your rig on windows (if you have a few rigs) and most small miners are on windows. Claymore is intentionally targeting small miners. No one that owns a big farm is going to experiment with whole farm. He will usually use a few rigs to test new miner from claymore for example and then switch the rest of rigs and small miners wont do that. New miner is up, hell yes lets download it straight away. By the time he develop miner for linux he will earn big miners trust and he is good to go Smiley
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do with 3 free VPS??? on: February 09, 2017, 05:29:40 PM
Those specs are really low. You cannot mine anything on them (if you planned on doing that) so i suggest you either sell them or use them for something like running website. That might end up useful

Thanks eckmar. Sell them could be an option. Mining is not an option, I did some mine but just for practicing/learning purposes. Thanks
I wouldn't suggest you "practice" on vps. I don't know what is your provider but most big companies like google or amazon don't allow mining on their servers. Your account might end up banned if you are not careful (speaking from personal experience Smiley )
735  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1x฿it.com - Most Competitive Sports฿ook & Casino | ฿est Odds & Wagering Options on: February 09, 2017, 04:09:24 PM
How is it going h4ns, still can't login into your account? Hopefully your case will be resolve but 1xbit seems not active since 25th January. I've tried to look at your image evidences but it's not there anymore (page not found).
Just wondering how much you've won, last time of your bet? Was it triggered because you won so much?

Not a single step closer to a solution. They're simply not answering.

Here you can follow the case with all the details and relevant screenshots: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1775566.0

It looks like person that is responsible for Bitcointalk is back! Smiley
As i wrote before they don't check this thread often, but i'm sure that they will clear this situation.
I don't belive that with so many players coming from Bitcointalk, the only ones that have complains are "Newbies"
And i'm not speaking about you know, because you did correct thing - now everything will have to be resolved as it should to be.

Lets see how it goes, there are two open scam accusations thread atm and both are from "newbies" which you may think not valid accusation but both accusations ha valid proofs imho. Hopefully, it can be fixed very soon as they have been waiting too long time for their money.
Perhaps you are right, they dont check this thread often but not answering email is different thing and it is not good behavior. They should give better services after this issue is solved.

They just created the account just to reach out to 1xbit, since 1xbit have thread here and doing a campaign.  I only read h4ans accusation and well stated all the valid stuff about how none responsive their staff is.  I hope 1xBit will get more competent staff for the better services and that issue with h4ns will be fixed soon.

People here are too cautious in newbies to the point that it's too much and anything that is too much is not considered good but you can't blame them since the majority of them are just scammers but we should stop thinking that all of them are scammers . We should judge by the content .

The problem here is their lack of competent staffs . See here
I just spoke with the owner on skype and informed him of this situation. Hes supposed to get back with me in a few hours. From my understanding hes not support, he has agents hired for that job.

They should hire people here who is/are able to cater and manage all kinds of topic about 1xbit not just for promotion cause this is a forum.
I really hope that this will be solved .

Some people are ignorant to blame newbies to defame the website, but from yahoo's post, we know there is indeed the situation, not the fake one. People should be kind to new players, why high rank members treat new players like this? So many false accusations againt newbie, just because you guys wear signature?
No one is mean to newbies. But you have to understand that opinion of two members with different ranks are not treated equally and they really shouldn't be. It may be okay with you or not but of course if someone spend years on this forum and someone registered 5 minutes ago they can't be treated same.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Running GPUs/Rigs on Rent ? on: February 09, 2017, 01:00:24 PM
Hello Crypto Miners !

I live at a place where electricity is extremely cheap, almost free. I have just one personal rig with 4 cards running already.

I was thinking what if I could run GPUs or rigs for other miners - miners living in countries with expensive electricity, it could be a good deal for them as well as for me.

I wanted ideas over how could this be priced, as I will not be using any sophisticated software to manage Hashpower and sell it on a per hash / hour basis. So what other options could I have ? and how would I be able to build trust ? Do you know anyone who is doing this ?

Do you think this could work in a profitable manner ? All comments & suggestions are welcome !

I don't think you would be able to do that at this point. There were a lot of scams with cloud mining (i know its not the same) and people just lost their trust to put their investment into someone's else hands.

Well my plan is to buy the GPU myself, fixing a price for it. For example at the moment I am very happy with how GTX 1060 3 GB card is performing compared to its price. So I could provide the option to own a Card in the RIG, each card could mine directly to owners address.

I understsand your idea, but you have to understand that you are not the first one to think of that. Even if you don't want to scam anyone, a lot of people did with same method, that is the reason why it won't work. You can't get them to trust you after those scandals about cloud mining...
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: newbie need help :) - 2 x RX480 4GB on: February 09, 2017, 11:52:33 AM

That is quite high - is it in a case?

yes i a case with 2 case fans,i am using the powercolor rx480 with 1 GPU fan
http://www.powercolor.com/de/products_features.asp?id=622

if a have only one card in the system heat is at 74°C with 40% fan speed

[/quote]
Just bump up the fan speeds. Go to like 70-80% and stay there. Looks like you are in some hot area. Currently with my RX 470 (Nitro+) I mine and temperatures are about 54°C at 28% fan speed with 4 other cards. But my, well if you can call it a case, is open rig have good ventilation.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is Litecoin Worth Mining? on: February 09, 2017, 11:49:27 AM
I don't think you understand that you need ASIC now to mine Litecoin. You cannot mine it with GPU or CPU (technically you can but...) but whatever it's not profitable to mine in any case. If you support litecoin cause (yeah lol...) just invest in them instead
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What Coins are Worth Mining? on: February 09, 2017, 11:46:53 AM
I would say Monero and Zcash at the moment. Monero have stable price and I switched to this coin some time ago and much more satisfied than Ethereum (lower power consumption on cryptonight) and if you got Nvidia cards just go with Zcash, best one for Nvidia
740  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: any good payment gateway to suggest? on: February 09, 2017, 11:45:12 AM
I would suggest you Braintree. They have this awesome sandbox mode that will let you test everything while developing and they accept both credits cards and bitcoin (paypal too ). Maybe the fees are a bit high (don't know the price of your products really) but if you can manage it go with them
