725  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recent changes to MtGox withdrawal options = piece of shit. on: October 08, 2011, 06:58:50 AM
sorry for hijacking this thread but do people ever use both mtgox and tradehill? Because it seems the prices vary a lot, like when the bitcoin hit $3.80 and tradehill stayed around $4.10. By switching between both, can I somehow maximize my profits even more?
726  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is a 5770 vga of gigabyte different from the same one from msi or powercolor ? on: October 08, 2011, 06:56:37 AM
All 5770's should have about the same Mhash/s. The tricky part is that if you overclock them, some cards overclock better than others and it's pure luck.

I'm not really sure about the underclocking, but from what I've read people like to keep the mem clock to a minimum (around the 300-600 range) and OC the core clock. Not really sure about these facts, so can somebody confirm them for me?

So is it okay to use mt gox? I've heard so many bad things about it and I'm consdering using tradehill instead.

Does cgminer go faster than guiminer?

So did you ever get your money out?
731  Other / Beginners & Help / Best way to mine? on: October 07, 2011, 09:29:10 AM
I currently use guiminer and I'm no hardcore miner as I only have a hd 6870 and a hd 5770 mining for me (about 500mhs). There are so many different pools to mine for, what pool could I profit most from? Does my choice of mining program matter because I don't like dealing with command line.

Also, if I were to build a mining rig (thinking about 3x5770) would it be profitable? As in would it pay for itself + more over time? If so, how long would that take?
732  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://btcrow.com/ legit or scam? on: October 06, 2011, 09:24:50 PM
I would love it if this works. The problem I have with Bitcoins is that it's way too easy to get scammed. But with a service like this, it should work perfect

734  Other / Beginners & Help / How to backup bitcoins? on: October 06, 2011, 08:06:27 AM
If I were to reformat my computer and I wanted to keep all my bitcoins in my current wallet. How do I transfer them onto my next computer? Like is there a file I backup?
