Hi mods,
There's a lot of threads beyond "Newbies" I could contribute to. As you can see by my posts I'm not a bot or spammer.
Could you please white-list me?
Cheers

I've done quite a bit of research on bitcoins and am curious to get started. My friend used to take in over 1 bitcoin a day with his rig a few months back, now he says it takes 5 so it's not worth it. I'm on a laptop and I know better than to stress a laptop like that. Even with my cooling pad underneath I'm sure mining would destroy my laptop. I definitely want to get out of the newbie status early because, hey the total time logged in isn't even working for me It's showing far less than what I'm actually at. Also are there stats of who takes in the most bitcoins/day. And has folding@home's participation decreased now that you can use your rigs for money? I can't imagnie an 8 core system with 2 of these running. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131438.

Hello there, I originally found this forum by way of makomk. He's made this wallet recovery tool, which I have used, unfort I am stuck and need help with the next step, I would like to be whitelisted for that particular thread: Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Development & Technical Discussion > Bitcoin private key/wallet.dat data recovery tool! Even if I cant be whitelisted, maybe someone here can help solve my problem... I have followed all the steps, and got my "recovered-wallet.dat" file on a USB drive, the next step is... "and load it up in the Bitcoin client as usual (not forgetting to start it with -rescan)" Not sure how to get the bitcoin client to open a specific file. I'm using the Windows client version 0.4.0 beta. Thanks!

asking for access outside. I have some legitimate tech support questions regarding my dual card setup and as to why certain miners mess up with VNC

I'd like access to the forums, but to be honest this one post is about all the effort I'm willing to put in for it. I've lurked a bit and rarely find a reason to reply, when I do I'm blocked and have no interest in putting in extra fluff effort in the newbie section just to use an internet forums.
Thanks!

What he said. I just wanted to reply in the slush's pool thread since I can't connect to his pool since the attack even though its apparently working now.

Hi,
Can I please be whitelisted too? I've wanted to add to the slush-pool thread too, and it is a bit annoying to not be able to. Mostly I read, and find most things I want to say have been said, so I don't post much, for example a few months back when mtgox was hacked, fortunatly I didn't suffer (much) in it, except not being able to trade, but that was annoying as well.

What he said. I just wanted to reply in the slush's pool thread since I can't connect to his pool since the attack even though its apparently working now. And I've since found that the problem was that peer block is blocking his new ip address, which I would post in the pool thread if I could since it might help some of the others that can't connect.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48136.msg577080#msg577080Nerp. Uhm... I am a liberal libertarian that believes firmly in peer to peer floated currencies as a response to regulated financial markets and unchecked fiat currencies. I'm a pretty solid geek with practical (working) knowledge of electronics and absurd (obsessive) knowledge about components and peripherals. I have posted the link above as an example of the amount of time and energy I've put into bitcoin before becoming involved. Long time lurker (months at least), cryptocurrencies have become a pretty big part of my long term hedge strategy against inflation with the USD. I'm also a small business owner (printing and marketing) and I generally know a bit as a result of completely obsessive research and study on anything that catches my interest. For example, I know an inordinate amount about steel manufacturing due to a wild hair. :edit: oops, 4 hours huh? I guess lurking time doesn't add in? t-minus 3 hours of spewing dribble into the newbie forum.

Dear Mod,
I signed up to discuss about ARS pool giving me too many "Warning: work queue empty, miner is idle" messages.
Please whitelist me so that I can post in that thread.
