721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are best sources to learn trading on: July 10, 2017, 03:30:26 PM
I feel like i miss the boat or missing the even bigger one.  Huh As i want to develop new skills on trading i would like to know more about trader sources. What sites they use or which news sources they follow. And is there any book e-book you can advice? Thank you all answers!

I would like to give some links but unfortunately I didn't mark those threads and links.
But, you are on right side as there are many threads here discussed about trading or give some prediction/suggest about good coins to invest. People who knows which coin will be pumped may not tell others as it could lead to loss but you will find some groups which share their knowledge in trading such as https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1944955.0
However, I suggest to learn about a coin before you invest on it, do not just buy some random coins which could ended to loss.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: July 10, 2017, 11:19:08 AM
In your white paper document, you say token holders with more than 50 DIM TOKEN (50+ tokens) will be eligible to receive profits of ecosystem. How will you distribute these profits to token holders? In ethereum or what?

Thank you.
I guess the simplest way to reward the profits for eligible supporters must be giving DIM tokens to same wallet addys. I believe devs will do this alone as now a days even ICO distributions also being followed this simple methods rather than maintaining some list and running batches of payments. In DIM token environments, I believe we cannot expect ethereum payments. If you want that, you may go for exchanging it, right ?
This must be an exciting feature of Dimcoin and I guess it would be more convenient if we will be getting those dividends into the same addys where we will be maintaining the balances of 50 Dimcoins or more. I too do not think for any possibilities for getting paid in ethereum as it might lead to extra burden to dev teams. Keeping things simple must be a priority goal for any dev team afaik.

Obviously, hold over 50 Dimcoin will be beneficial in the future and I'm sure that fees share will be distributed in form of dim tokens. It is a little bit confusing to purchase Dim: tokens and Dimcoin, and there is dim currencies as well. 100 Dimcoin worth $1.
"The DIM:Tokens will be made available to the public at ICOs, during which 10 million  will be available. One DIM:Token will be equivalent to 100 DIMCOIN, each being worth $0.01"
723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hard Fork - August 2 on: July 10, 2017, 08:37:42 AM
what happened for Bitcoin Unlimited? Once ever, I buy BTU on bitfinex, but bitfinex seems like an unethical businessman, merciful, and shortly after, BTU is gone away

even if BTU were to become the future bitcoin and gain all the support you shouldn't have bought it! because it is not yet anything! you bought a virtual promise at best. and the only person making a profit is the exchange themselves who get the fees from you.

to OP, i disagree with saying there is an urgency for a scaling solution. the spam attack is the problem that is pretending there is an urgency.

I'm not sure whether blockchain will split or not but I think we're really need scaling solution to increase adopters and merchants to adopt and use bitcoin as an alternative currency which could be used all over the world (as long as there is internet connection) just like people use PayPal to purchase goods right now. The spam attack could be prevented by increase blocksize, so miners could process more transactions every 10 minutes.
724  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: July 09, 2017, 11:58:29 PM
Op imagination were too far from reality, there is no chance that's gonna be happen. People in the world will always split into several parts of economics such as: poor, average and rich people. And the way to be rich isn't easy obviously, even not all of bitcoin holders may become rich, depends on how much bitcoin do you have.
725  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum and 1st of August. on: July 09, 2017, 11:33:44 PM
How about blockchain wallet and August 1st? Everyone who use that wallet shouldn't do anything but just export private key too?
Before all of that, is there anyone here who confident of blockchain will  split into two different chain?
Whether segwit2x will reach enough approval from majority of miners and be activated?
726  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold... Hold.... Hold.... Do not sell everything on: July 09, 2017, 04:28:46 PM
I believe in bitcoin in long term could reach fantastic price over $10,000 but that for few years later and not everyone will be patient not to sell any of their bitcoin savings, neither do I.
Sell bitcoin isn't a mistake if you really need money or get profits through fluctuate price as long as you could buy back and save more bitcoin. Usually, I sell small amount of my bitcoin to cover my expenses if I don't have any other source income to extract some cash.
727  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins are all down, so how do traders make their earnings? on: July 09, 2017, 03:52:57 PM
Hi still a newbie trader here. Just want to know. If All altcoins are down since last few weeks. How do traders maker their earnings during this bitcoin correction / retracement. All my polo coins are bought while Bitcoin is 2900usd in the past few months. Now I am HODLing like forever Sad All my coins are in bloody red, I have negative -20%  to -30% profit. Please suggest something.

The rule still the same, buy low and sell at higher peak. If you can't make profit through altcoin-bitcoin, then just convert altcoin into another altcoins, but make sure it's a good coin to buy. If you are not sure to sell/buy altcoins, then just wait for bitcoin's price recover.
Normally, if bitcoin price decline, altcoins will follow to drop as well and vice versa, pay attention before buy and sell your coins.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: July 09, 2017, 07:57:56 AM
In my NEM wallet for Android, I have +1 xem for a Facebook bounty? I am in the Twitter campaign. I have definitely followed all rules. Soooo. First week hassles. No big deal. Consider this my bug report.
Twitter: @BTCpals
Qwaser109@gmail.com

Hi,

If you click on the 1 XEM, do you not see the DIMCOIN? Please double check as you have to click on it and see the description.

I just downloaded the nano wallet for my PC. I like it a lot. I even learned of some features that I did not know about. This project is getting better by the minute.

My question: I joined the Twitter Campaign using my Android NEM Mainet Wallet. Am I stuck with that decision or is there a way to import my android wallet into my nano wallet? Or change my address for the campaign?
I'm a visual confirmation kinda guy. Thanks for your quick response to my first inquiry.

Chris Butler, RunCPA.

I know you guys are busy. Having an ICO is a fast paced process. My question was not answered. Not that I could find anyways. I still would like to know if I can Change my Campaign address or preferrably, import my android wallet into my nano wallet.
Thanks Devs.

Yes, this question isn't answered yet as there are some participants which used android nem wallet.
I'm not sure if it could be synchronized with nano wallet but it will be great if participants could just change/update their information on spreadsheet. Hopefully dimcoin could give more information about this.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can bitcoin be used for regular transactions.. on: July 08, 2017, 11:59:31 PM
For now, bitcoin isn't suitable for regular transactions I guess, because people should pay high fees and wait for the transaction be confirmed. It is not make sense when you want to buy fruits and veggies but have to pay another $2, people will prefer use cash obviously. Micro transactions can be done (mainstream) if there is no fees and it confirmed instantly which seems impossible for bitcoin.
730  Economy / Speculation / Re: Experts! is it time to sell or buy? on: July 08, 2017, 11:44:55 PM
Last month, the lowest price of bitcoin was around $2315 and whenever dip occurs, it's a good time to buy bitcoin.
Current price at $2550 is normal as we know bitcoin fluctuate a lot within $100-$200 but mostly consider as stable.
Depends on your purpose to buy bitcoin whether for long term or short term investment, buy it before August 1st because if segwit activated, its price will increase significantly.
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bloody day trade on: July 07, 2017, 11:56:35 PM
I love it when some major coins decline such as bitcoin, ethereum, zcash and another top 10 cryptocurrencies.
People waiting for those prices to decrease, so we can purchase more coins then buy it at higher price but after several days its decreases. But, I see bitcoin already recover right now, not sure if it will drop further than this point.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do well know companies accept altcoin? on: July 07, 2017, 11:43:46 PM
I've never heard about companies accepted altcoins payment, there are some projects which used ethereum to collect their funds but they are not companies, just some ICO. But maybe after/if they are success with ICO, could be started as company but usually for trading purpose, they use/sell their tokens.  The answer is, all well known companies do not accept any altcoins even ethereum didn't met the requirements due to its volatility, or they just trust a reliable/safe medium of exchange such as fiat currency.
733  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 07, 2017, 11:24:48 PM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.

You can be one of those Millionaires if you believe in bitcoin, it isn't too late to buy bitcoin right now because for long term investment, bitcoin has been proven always increase. The problem is, entry point to buy bitcoin, right? Bitcoin won't decline lower than $2200 I guess, so whenever you find it within $2200-$2300 then just buy it and save it for long term at least 6 months until a year.
734  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where would you invest $100? on: July 07, 2017, 10:37:30 AM
You can buy anything that is in top 10 place in coinmarketcap.com because almost all alts are in correction phase right now so a pump after this correction is quite guaranteed.

My choices for you are etc, xem, eth

I will suggest the same thing if someone who don't know about cryptocurrencies want to invest.
But remember, there is no shortcut to doubled your capital. The most safe coin is bitcoin I guess and you can get more profit than $100 if you willing to wait for several months. Bitcoin has been proven as reliable investment which its price always increases over time.
735  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin Volatility Be Controlled? on: July 06, 2017, 10:49:43 AM
I don't think volatility of bitcoin can be controlled just by the increase of users as well as the price. Bitcoin is decentralized meaning no one has control in every aspect of this. And I think nobody wants a stabilized price for bitcoin?like it will just be flat rate all through out the existence of bitcoin. Nah I don't even imagine that, just accept the fact that volatility is part of bitcoin.

Of course, I don't think it could be controlled as volatile price is a part of whole bitcoin environment. Even though in 10 years later if bitcoins market cap increase significantly, it means people who have big amount of bitcoin could affect the market, not only one person who buy and sell bitcoin everyday, many people want to make profits through bitcoin, that's why its price always fluctuate.
Furthermore, if bitcoin could drop and rise a lot within days, then it is a good chance to buy or sell it.
736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st? on: July 06, 2017, 05:57:18 AM
So my initial plan was to invest more into bitcoin on a weekly basis but with the possibility of a split on August 1st I figured I'd wait a little. If there would be a split, there would certainly be a drop in price so maybe a good opportunity to pick some more up rather than doing it now. Normally I tend to make these kind of decisions for myself but since I don't fully understand what will happen August 1st I figured this would be the best place to ask.

Current prices are normal even though bitcoin fluctuate a lot everyday but still in the normal range.
Before August 1st become official, it's a great time to buy more bitcoin as we know after segwit activated, its price will significant increase obviously. $2500-2600 has been marked for today, don't be late.
737  Economy / Speculation / Re: Last 4 months of bitcoin on: July 04, 2017, 11:59:13 PM
Significant uptrend leading to the mother of all bullish pennants.

Can't argue with that. It's precisely how I see it too. Coiling, coiling...
____________

The 4 month chart is the first thing I show people who ask how Bitcoin's doing "these days". Then I show them the 2 year chart.

I would love to see last 2 years of bitcoin chart, make a screenshot and post it here.
Bitcoin has been doing so well in the last 4 months, whoever bought bitcoin at $888 and managed to sold it at $3003 are the lucky ones. At least, we know that bitcoin is still in progress and will continue to growing bigger than any other currencies.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people start up new cryptocurrencies? on: July 04, 2017, 11:48:50 PM
I believe that people start up cyrptocurrencies because they either want to make some money or maybe experiment with the internet. It's basically like when a scientist test run a new gadget. It still is amazing how these cryptocurrencies live though. What do you think?
Yes, they just give it a shot if their coins could survive and success in the cryptocurrency market, but the main purpose they created a new coin for profit/to collect more money obviously. Those coins will be used for trading and speculation to pump its price, whether it will works or not but in the end people would know which coins are worth to use.
739  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Milestone for bitcoin?? on: July 04, 2017, 10:08:18 PM
We will see whether in the next month bitcoin problem finally could be solved, then it would be the next milestone for bitcoin.
After those problem ended, we expect for more adopters and merchants use bitcoin as an alternative currency in various places which will increase demand of bitcoin. When it reach $10,000, that's another milestone.
740  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be Careful With Pumping Groups on: July 04, 2017, 03:43:38 PM
Lately, I have seen some promotions in Facebook on becoming a member of pumping groups for free. yes, it does not cost anything except registration and some push in the keyboard. Now, the question in my mind is if pumping groups can be effective in making me some money.

Searching on the same topic, I received some warnings that pumping groups are there to dry us of funds and that actually they don't care about us small players as we are actually the pawns they are looking for.

In other words, pumping groups can be a trap if you are not very careful. Why? Because those leading the pumping have already bought their coins ahead of the pumping announcement and when the coin has already risen they would immediately sell their holdings and if you are not watching you can have your bags empty.

I was just a newbie on this and I got victimized because just seconds after I bought my coins the value rose which led me to believe it could rose further but then the slide happened as fast as it rose.

Instead of becoming a part of pumping groups, I am now instead of a group which analyzed trends and give away possible coins to rise...and all for free.
Trading is all about risk management and your call to follow others or not. I know how dangerous pump group could lead to loss for their members but that's a common rule in trading : do your own research and learn before invest on a coin.
I just consider those groups as an addition for information and won't take seriously for random investment, simply put your money on trusted coins which always rise after decline such as bitcoin Grin
