tryed pad new fw...getting the same gh/s as i was before...but it's nice not having to ssh into it and reset the clocks n vrm all the time Smiley thxs pad for your hard work

Thanks for the note..

I sent it to maybe 10 folks as a favor to them and I have seen no less then three of them trying to sell it on ebay, direct, or otherwise.. It's a sad look at how a number of people in the community try and exploit someone else's work..

There is a small minority of stand up guys but they are definitely a minority..

just had to power down units, hmm still had to ssh back into it to run vrm.sh Sad so great if ya don't have to shut'em off Smiley

724  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] KNC Miner - Saturn 280Gh/s on: May 16, 2014, 02:41:21 AM
Hello,

I have for sale a bitcoin miner from KNCMiner. It is a Saturn running consistent at 280Gh/s and just arrived from KNC.

I am selling this machine because the hosting period as ended and I dont have a place at home to keep it running 24x7.
The machine contains the latest firmware and it is in its original state.
It does not come with a power supply. At least a 600 Watt PSU with a minimum of 2x PCI-E adaptors is recommended.

It can be delivered in hand in Zurich (Switzerland) or it can be shipped anywhere if you pay the costs.

Offers accepted at a minimum of 1.6 BTC.

Thank you

hate to break it to ya but nobody will buy it ant S1 x2 is like .84 btc and 400gh/s

728  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] 10 TH/S of Bitfury 48 H-Board Rigs, Available Now!! on: May 13, 2014, 04:34:18 PM
he lowered the price to 3.25 but i don't think i'll get support for it Sad oh well worth a shot

Only a couple of his points are valid at this stage, but you're right; always worth a shot.

imho i think all his points are valid for any miner, and i also believe the diff. rate will settle down/smooth out soon...even if all these asic companies pump out as much as they can, they still can't keep doubling the diff. rate...at least i hope so cause i just bought another jupiter Cheesy

I'll give this thread a few more days, for hope, then delete it...
729  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy #5] ASIC chip design funded for the people to keep BTC decentralized on: May 13, 2014, 02:09:55 PM
sounds like a great idea to me, I've had a thought of a miner company run by miners for the people...not to reap all the benifits selling to the ppl...thought AM was doing a good job, but then they just got blown outta the water and couldn't keep up...I'd invest in it because i believe the way its going right now is if your not hosting these huge machines it'll only be ppl with tons of money to buy these mining machines that will be mining and us little guys will be pushed out, but if you pushed out a great working chip and sold it cheap...then what? are you going to follow thur and make a full miner outta it? or just sell the chip to ppl that will make a full miner outta it and raise the price sky high?
730  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] 10 TH/S of Bitfury 48 H-Board Rigs, Available Now!! on: May 13, 2014, 01:48:49 PM
another price drop...but still looks like i have zero interest Cry
731  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 30TH - Available Instantly - $3.25/GH on: May 13, 2014, 05:28:08 AM
Actually my analysis was far more cruder but effective.

1 TH @ your price: 3500$ all inclusive.
1 TH will mine ~5.09 BTC in a year so far with current increases in difficulty.
5.09 BTC is a lot less than 3500$ so investment doesn't even ROI until BTC/USD goes to at least 700

Regards.

Everyone has their own projects on difficulty, unfortunately most are wrong. A ~50% increase in difficulty/month for a whole year isn't sustainable which is what your calculations tell me you are using.

You are basically saying difficulty will go up to 151 Billion by December which is 17x the Hashrate currently. ~1200PH or 1.2EH. This will never happen at current pricing.

We're going to see a steep decline in hashpower going online percentage wise if BTC stays at the same value. If BTC goes up then equipment retains it's value longer and you can cash out to USD for more but you will also see more miners come online.

My Calculations show at least 9 BTC being earned by a TH today within a year, however I do love when people use the genesis/trade block for their calculations keeps more people out of the game.

I like this Cheesy and hope your right....I also wish i had an extra 100k around to buy this Sad

Going to try and start a GB for this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=602245.0 this is to gauge interest if we can get this done...Would be escrowed through Danny Hamilton, If he accepts to do this, I pm'd him and if not, I'll find another escrower with rep to do this through so no coins would go to me at start and if we don't get enough escrower will release the funds back to everyone. Here is Danny Hamilton profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=60820

Equipment would be hosted at where ever Bargraphics has them at now...As for shares, I'm thinking 100 shares to make is easy as possible for math, each share would be worth 100 gh/s and he wants $3.5 a gh/s would be $350 a share, plus hosting (but dunno if he is firm on that price or not) so that would be around .79 btc a share...depending on price he wants and i dunno how much hosting would be either. This is all up in the air right now.

Why you should trust me?

I'll give Danny Hamilton all my info to verify and keep, I want this to work and will buy a few shares myself...I was a part of Soniq CT GB that ended horrific Sad I don't know what he did to make it so hard or fail so bad, but how hard could it be to have equipment mine and send out payments? I have some trust on here and want to try my hand in managing a GB.
- 100% positive feedback at eBay

Offering:

- 100 shares at ?? (to be determined if enough interest is shown)  BTC are available
- Each share entitles the owner to 1/100th of the BTC proceeds from the Bitfury mining 24/7 till no longer profitable or sold (less expenses and management fees) Would be voted on too..
- management fees are 1 % of BTC mined before  expenses are deducted.(expenses include but are not limited too, hosting, repairs, shipping, taxes) to start, subject to change but never more then 5% depending on how much work this really entails...
- payment will be made to the address of the share-holder weekly basis
- miners will be hosted at data hosting center of OP choice
- Pool will probably be Eligius
- Shares will be transferable once the GB has started, Make sure to use a btc address you can sign msg from as this will be used to prove you own the shares.

To purchase shares:

For now lets see how many ppl are on board...if this goes great, maybe we can increase to 20th/s or maybe even the whole 30th/s...

If I have forgotten anything or you require more info etc. Please feel free to ask/post in this thread.

Not my intention to shit on your thread, but $3.50/GH for used equipment is way too much.  You can order 1W/GH HW from Bitmain for $2.45/GH, or SP10's from RoadStress' GB for $2.13/GH.

Yes true, but he posted good points about that in his thread, which is...
Price reduced to $3.25/GH

If (when) you drop to at least 2.5$/GH I'd like to make an offer.

I understand,

There's a misconception about "Price per GH"

The following variables need to be considered.

Do you need anymore wires/psus? Add cost
Is the equipment shipped immediately or is this a "pre-order"? - Minus BTC from day you place order til it's shipped
What is shipping cost? Add cost
What is shipping time? Minus BTC made per day
What is setup time on a large equipment purchase? Minus BTC made per day
What is setup cost as a Datacenter for large equipment purchase? Add cost
Do you have to purchase PDUs? Some Datacenters do not include this in setup. - Add cost
Fine Tuning Rigs to remain stable - Minus BTC made per day
Is your electric bill double because you purchased Ant Miners? - Double Electric Cost per month
Does your DC Bill you extra for the AC used to cool twice the amount of power for the same amount of equipment because you purchased Ant Miners? - Add Cost to hosting

Now even at the end of this, how valuable is your time/stress in dealing with everything above? - Add cost

You can't really host 30TH (Or Really 10TH) in your house. Sure there are exceptions but for the majority of people this is true.

Since BTC is top loaded I think that all of the "Delays" I mentioned above would most likely pay for the higher markup price.

he lowered the price to 3.25 but i don't think i'll get support for it Sad oh well worth a shot

New: After hosting is done, we could opt to move it up here to WI where i will have a spot for it as i'm currently working on opening a small hosting center...but it would be 100% voted on whether that would happen or not...would be cheaper then paying hosting, cause we would only have to pay for power and it would be at a commercial rate...hopefully, guy hasn't gotten back to me yet on rate...

Escrow is available for these units. So far on here we have not had much interest. $ of these units sold elsewhere though.

At 3400$ no one is going to buy them. Not here, not elsewhere. Sorry.

so i just took apart my miner to put it in a window mount for summer time heat removal...noticed on the bottom of the pcb board dark green spots by the side vrms...even thou i've been running them on all 8...hmm well i put some heatsinks on the bottom where the spots are and i think my temps droped alittle bit Cheesy or maybe alot i dunno...but i'm on 291 now and temps are 33, 34 n 36 Cheesy the 36 one is probably da one w/o heatsinks cause i ran out...

kinda wierd that the sides would get dark considering that is the side with more air getting to it...but i dunno...its 1am and i'm tired

738  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6600Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB (New Thread) on: May 06, 2014, 03:04:02 AM
Can someone explain to me how the number of blocks my payout is delayed is INCREASING, instead of DECREASING??

I started out with a payout on a ~360GH/s address yesterday that was 16 blocks back... then it was 17... now it's 18...  wtf?

I'm an itty bitty miner. I don't need the Bitcoin. Yet even I'm starting to lose my patience with the (many) issues the pool seems to be dealing with lately.

Just makes me wonder... where is the NMC, anyway?

[ADD] In the meantime, since I entered the queue about 20 hours ago, according to my ability to count, the pool has found 15 blocks... yet I'm now 18 back.

It was a nice idea for a pool but a one man band working full time irl is never going to cut the mustard...

yes but he is all we got Cheesy and we love him...I'm still donating and will continue to do so til i stop mining if that day comes...I love this pool and want it to survive and thank WK on all his hard work to keep it going strong...I have faith that everything will be put right in time
