thank you, but i think i lost all hope. The hacker knew exactly what he was doing and probably cleared out the account because he got access to the gmail account. Just a broke college student got even more broke today...

Well no i didnt have 2FA on my google account. I was so stupid for not enabling it, never thought this could happen to me but i guess that will be my lesson. Ugh, i still have a little hope they can find my account and lock it somehow.
727  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My BTC-E and GMAIL accounts Hacked Please Help on: January 15, 2014, 07:52:39 PM
BTC-e support contacted me within the hour so I am happy. I am trying to do everything i can to get it back or atleast lock the account. I installed malwarebytes to remove anything on my computer. Hopefully none of my coins or $ was withdrawn yet since theres a 2 day lock after a password change. Ugh this is horrible, im shocked..
728  Economy / Service Discussion / My BTC-E and GMAIL accounts Hacked Please Help on: January 15, 2014, 07:33:47 PM
So today I got an email saying there was a suspicious log in attempts on my gmail account. Before i was able to log in, the 2 factor authentication was setup and the account was hijacked. Then i tried my btc-e account and it was also hacked. I submited the manual recovery through gmail but that will take 3-5 days. I emailed btc-e support as well. Anyone have any suggestions? I know I am very stupid, I didnt have 2FA. Ugh I don't even know what to do with myself Cry

735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make some bitcoin without mining (BitCoin game) on: March 25, 2013, 08:00:45 PM
Would not it be more accurate for this thread to have title "Lose some bitcoins that you have just mined"?

No it wouldn't because if you look at the history on the site, 10 people were successfully paid back + 10% profit on their initial investment. Once again, if you don't like this or have nothing nice to say please keep it to yourself, I'm not forcing anyone to go and play. Whoever wants - can, whoever doesnt-can look away. Thank you.
736  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make some bitcoin without mining (BitCoin game) on: March 25, 2013, 02:40:15 AM
It's just a game whoever wants can play, whoever doesn't can choose not to play. Simple. All people received their money back and the cost is still really low.

"A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to its investors from their own money or the money paid by subsequent investors, rather than from profit earned by the individual or organization running the operation."

It's a kind of pyramid scheme. It's not a ponzi scheme because the operator isn't claiming that the investment is earning anything.

As long as the operator pays as promised, it is just another gambling game. Some people will make money, some people will lose money, but you are likely to lose money if you play enough.

Thank you.

no silly, lets say the current price to buy the bar is .16. The buyer that paid .16 gets .176 back when someone buys it from him after it. Thats 10% increase.

sorry I didn't see your post above about all the ponzi scheme trash talk. I said "Yes it is" to it being similar to the games mentioned above by the other person. Call it what you want, its a simple game that is all.
