Gox wants to break out, but keeps getting slammed by +100 BTC sells, lol.

there people must be really cheesed, and scared. Think about it, first to announce the problem last to fix it lol.

Stopping USD, SEPA and JPY withdrawals wasn't enough of a hint I guess.

SEPA was not stopped.

I spent THREE MONTHS trying to get my fiat out of poxy Gox through SEPA and gave up in the end, had the cash returned to my account and bought bitcoin (at a 20% loss), which I then withdrew,  in order to get out of the place.
 Just in time too.

The sooner the Gox disappears up its own ass, the better for everyone.

Can't see anything on live bets page...can't put sports bets on...can't delete old bets that weren't put on.
Nightmare.
Cleared cache, logged out then back in again...tried different browsers.
Nothing works.
 Huh

726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I thought Ebay were implementing a Virtual Currency section today on: February 10, 2014, 11:49:29 AM
Just checked...it has been implemented on the .com and .co.uk sites today  but it has to be listed as a classified ad and as user msc said, you can't use PayPal to accept payment. (Someone tell the clown who's listing I just posted)
Useless.

I definitely read a few weeks back that they would have a virtual currency section from 10th Feb.
I can't see it anywhere on the site.
 Huh

LOL. You can say what you want about us yanks, but tonight, the line was held by Americans at Coinbase. I probably hate my government worse than you do, but I've never been more proud of my countrymen.

Are concepts like national pride and patriotism really needed in Bitcoinland? I don't think so.

while this will rise the profile of bitcoin in the UK, and it is good to see that Barclays look like they will let them use pingit to do so,   you always could buy bitcoins for cash......  its called localbitcoins.com  , and it looks cheaper to me.......

I have used localbitcoins to buy, but using bank payments, not cash.

I am reluctant to meet a total stranger while carrying lots of cash.

I take this guy with me to carry out cash transactions through localbitcoin.com:

Nothing would please me more than to see GOX crash and burn.
I sold 4 BTC at around £500 a while back and then spent 2 months trying to get the money into my bank account here in England. It was a nightmare and in the end I asked them to return the cash to my account and I then stupidly bought just over 3 BTC at £650 each thereby losing almost a whole coin.
They are worse than useless.

Have you stopped your affiliate programme?
I can't find my referral figures on the site any more.

Yep, +1 to them, they indeed are very prompt. Just traded .02 btc for testing it out and their system is really great

I agree.
An excellent outfit.
I am now using them regularly after the prolonged nightmare of trying to get fiat out of MtGox into my European Bank.
Highly recommended.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone know of a secure online Litecoin wallet on: January 29, 2014, 01:23:27 AM
Steer well clear of Instant-E.com.
A total scam site run by a *******  crook.
I have contacted Google about the site but they have done nothing.
Still being returned on page 1 on any search terms entered looking for an online litecoin wallet.

Has anybody been able to bet at livebets tonight?
A lot of soccer  and I could not get the live page up once  all evening despite many attempts.
