7201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone should read this Bitcoiner's story on: July 11, 2020, 03:48:09 AM
I'm sure there are a lot of heart hearted and inspiring stories similar to what the OP has said. In this community alone, I believed that it help a lot of people, thru hardship and overcome their problems financially. And that is the beauty of bitcoin, although he mentioned that it was 2013 that he was introduced, it is not late for people to discover bitcoin and the potential to help them change their life for the better.
7202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 5 cryptocurrency exchanges where you can stake cryptos & earn rewards on: July 10, 2020, 11:14:29 PM
Everyone should be reminded that having huge amount of money in an exchange is not a good safety practice. Because of an event of a hack, regardless if you are Binance of just low level exchanges, all the funds can be drain in matter of minutes.

@kolyrahman23 - did you know that there have been lots of phishing attempts on,

1. Trust Wallet
2. Atomic Wallet
3. Guarda Wallet

So it's really very dangerous, so please be careful and weight the risk and reward ratio.
7203  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Keeping it's limitaion Between 9--10K on: July 10, 2020, 10:49:43 PM
My experience from the last time this happened it went sideways for very very very very long.
Low volume, no enjoyment whatsoever.....

I agree, but we don't need to be bothered by this long sideways and somewhat boring trend. This is just the normal cycle of any assets, bubble then it will be burst, and that's why there are those people who says that bitcoin market has a 4 year cyclical pattern, although this can be disputed as there are no big data to support this theory. This is just a consolidation to me the post-halving.
7204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Who should Ryan Garcia fight? on: July 10, 2020, 10:26:23 PM
Looks like Ryan Garcia has chosen his opponent and it would be Campbell. Tagoe is now out of the picture since the camp of Garcia is abandoning talks for WBO Eliminator In Favor Of WBC Interim Title Fight.

Quote
BoxingScene.com has learned that the unbeaten lightweight contender will no longer proceed with negotiations for a title eliminator as ordered by the World Boxing Organization (WBO)

This Garcia vs Campbell will boil to youth vs experience, interesting one for sure. I'll go for Campbell here if the odds is tempting  Smiley.

Easy fight for Garcia,  Grin and I'm sure he will be the favourite against Campbell, possible that it will end up in a KO. Another good fight to showcase Garcia's youth and power. And I say that stylistically, this is a cherry pick fight for Garcia by his trainers and promoters. No offense to Campbell, but he is just a B-level fighter.
7205  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs. Lopez Jr. on October 3 on: July 09, 2020, 11:19:32 PM
Yeah, I know the fight is still far, and there are chance that the date might change again because of the pandemic. But I can't help it because this is going to be one hell of a good fight. We already know Loma, but Teofimo Lopez Jr is also getting into his prime and this light weight unification could be one of the most anticipated fight for this year.

https://www.boxingscene.com/lomachenko-vs-lopez-now-targeted-october-3-says-arum--150057

I think Loma will be the favorite here and it will be really another test for him, but I think he can survived a close 12 round decision against Lopez Jr.

What's your take on this fight?
7206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is likely to reach $ 10,000!!!! on: July 09, 2020, 10:53:56 PM
Lets hope. Volume is still very weak....

Yeah, volume is relatively weak, not enough to speculate that $10k is within striking distance in the next couple of days. As you can see it face a big resistance around $9400++ and wasn't able to get past through it as the price goes on a decline. So to the OP, $10k would be a long way to go and your TA needs some adjustment because of the current trend and indicators like trading volume.
7207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEWEST Bitcoin rap - Just released "Buy Bitcoin" - (NFA) on: July 09, 2020, 10:27:28 PM
I used to be appreciate rap music like 20 years ago,, when I was still young with some old school rappers.  Smiley. So I really love your music here, it's one way to really promote BTC specially for millenniasl. And I think this is not the first time that we hear some rap songs regarding bitcoin but I would say that this is the best so far. Best of luck to you if you're going to pursue your career as a rap artist.
7208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Who should Ryan Garcia fight? on: July 09, 2020, 09:57:51 PM
He should first fight ODLH, Lol, I don't know if you guys know, but they have some media wars prior to the pandemic, specially on how ODLH was pushing for Ryan Garcia to fight Duno back then, but we all know that Garcia destroyed Duno in one round.

No particular order, but I think he can beat  both Tagoe or Campbell and then go for the money fights Davis, Loma.
7209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Demand for Remote Workforce, Surges Telecom Tokens on: July 08, 2020, 11:53:51 PM
I do believed that there are 'could' be correlation between stocks and traditional markets now. I'm not familiar though "communications-related tokens". If they bring something unique to the crypto sphere, regardless if we are in a pandemic, it will surely attract crypto investors. But we will have to see if this trend will continue, or if this kind of tokens have value to bring in the table or not.
7210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 08, 2020, 11:26:13 PM
Can we just discuss the market size not the gambling addiction or anything related to that?

Online gambling is a billion dollar industry as well, (fiat/crypto).

https://www.statista.com/statistics/270728/market-volume-of-online-gaming-worldwide/

It's in the tune of $40-$50 billion, so that's a huge amount of money, of course it is still dwarfed as you compare it to land base casinos, but still online gaming is really getting popular and there are predictions that it can swell to double figures in the next 5 years.

Looks like Micree Thingy may have completed his oust.

I know many of you looked to Jihan for guidance and leadership in the dark years. If he comes calling on you for succour then you know what to do.

Micree has the balls and it's really turning ugly and becoming a shit show. I'm waiting for Jihan to response (if he hasn't responded yet), and if you are a board of directors, you should really pick a side here. I think Jihan has still the influence but Micree has the legality.

Jihan Wu isn't going down without a fight. He posted an announcement 16 hours later claiming the earlier document contained false information and that the WeChat and Weibo accounts were compromised. When TechNode contacted Bitmain about the incident, a Bitmain spokesperson directed them to the later announcement posted by Wu.

Without official legal proceedings, it's difficult to say who is in the right or who will maintain control of the company.

Yes, for sure we all know Jihan won't go without a fight, but we all know who the bully in this case, and in this kind of situation, regardless of legality proceedings, we always root for those who are being bullied and fight back, that's why I said that Micree has the steel balls to go up against the bully Jihan.

And I doubt that they will try to destroy bitcoin though, and with their company crumbling down, China has been benefiting from it so logically the government will not allow Bitmain or any other Chinese controlled mining farms to do it.
7214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain is very faithful on: July 05, 2020, 10:34:38 PM
It seems despite the gloom and appearance of scam projects, Bounty can be worth it if we join the right project

That is, if you find a project that it is worth to join because majority of bounty today are either scam or the project doesn't have a real life usage or the people behind are just going to use it as a pump and dump, so eventually it will die after the boom and bust cycle. I'm not familiar with the project that you are talking about, but if you find success then good for you.
7215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical Casinos Decoded : on: July 05, 2020, 03:24:46 PM
The first time I went to a casino, it feels like I don't want to go home and stay for a longer time, the lounge is very cozy , the staffs are very accommodating, there are a lot of freebies, feels like home to me,you are treated like a king especially if you are with a high bettor and high roller.

It's just a good casino, man. This is their job so that you can comfortably spend your money and enjoy the game. Time flies in the casino. That is why it is much more pleasant to play in a regular casino than in an online casino.

It's a job that raking them good money, so they will do everything on their power to put everyone as comfortable as you can get inside a casino, specially a good and well-known land base casinos. And this is what gamblers wanted to see and feel when they are inside, the atmosphere and the sounds of slot machine, people shouting when they hit big. But at the end of the day, you could be losing money in exchange of this experiences.
7216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hashrate Increases on: July 05, 2020, 02:36:23 PM
We had so much negative expectations before the halving due to the "Bitcoin mining death spiral" headlines from the so-called "crypto news sites". Funny how now we're only like 4 TH/s from the all-time-highs.

https://www.blockchain.com/charts/hash-rate
I realize it doesn't have direct impact on Bitcoin price or anything, but that's a good thing, right? I mean, if miners are willing to mine hard even though halving occurred just recently, it must mean they believe in the profitability for this activity in the long run. If miners think Bitcoin's worth it, this might motivate other users to feel more confident about it. However, if small miners are leaving and only mining farms are staying in business, this means even more centralized mining, which is a bit sad. I don't know if it's true that miners are leaving, even though the difficulty rate is not dropping.

Yes, bitcoin mining is really profitable in the long run and as how much they try to correlate mining to the price of bitcoin, in the end I won't say that it doesn't matter at all as the price could increase base on supply and demand. And I think by now, those who chooses to leave the mining business because they don't see any profits or simply they can't cope up because of the cost are all gone. And those who are left are big mining farms ready to play the game post halving.

7218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the market saturated with too many stablecoins? on: July 04, 2020, 11:59:00 PM
I think we have to look at what's the real purpose of stable coins in the market? Will it bring that "stability" or will it make us confused more with their usage, specially noobs in the market. And we all know that the number 1 stable coin today has a lot of accusations of manipulations in the past. Obviously, Tether and Bitfinex has denied and said. that this is baseless. But if this stable coins allegedly is playing the market around then we might need some alternatives.
7219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON 4.0: Boom or Bust? on: July 04, 2020, 11:38:01 PM
Lol, Justin Sun will not be known as 'Shill God' for nothing, he really knows how to play around and create hype around his projects, but behind you know that Tron has nothing to offer besides the usual money making scheme of his and his cohorts. And this will be a an ongoing battle on Twitter,

Quote
Like, from any serious point of view, any flaw that ETH has from the perspective of BTC community values, Tron has 10x more. And yet, ETH is often a mortal enemy, and yet Tron, at least psychologically, is viewed as a distant crazy uncle it's cool to be kinda friends with.

https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/1279058642684325890

I'm sorry but I will side with Vitalik here, So I will say that Tron 4.0 will enjoy some crazy pump when released but it won't be sustainable in the long run.
7220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any successful and relatively new casinos? on: July 04, 2020, 10:50:53 PM
I've been on this forum long enough to see perhaps hundreds of casinos come and go. They keep appearing and dying shortly afterward all the time, and I wonder why people still take such a high risk of opening a casino when there is a close to 100% chance your casino will fail. This got me thinking about popular casinos. Of course, we all know the names. But they are usually years old, not anything from 2019-2020. The one exception is Stake.com, but I wouldn't count it as an example of a new casino appearing out of nowhere and attracting gamblers because it did not come out of nowhere (it's owned by Primedice). Is it just me or are there virtually no recent casinos that got popular? Or can you name some examples? And in general, do you think new casinos appearing in 2020 stand a chance against those with solid reputation and long time on the market?

Good question, there are lot of casinos that recently pop up and the first thing we heard about them is when they have their signature campaigns here, but some of them just have like a 4 week campaign while some continue to go on. So we really don't know what happens to those who run a short campaign. Of course, if they have a campaign here, there could be boost in rankings but it is interested to know what happens after they end the campaign. Do they still enjoy the benefits or even attracted new gamblers?
