By mere curiosity, does the plastic bottle have the seal of approval by Greta?

No matter who could be Greta, I expect it's a normal plastic Coca-Cola bottle filled with wine. Especially in the evenings the unsuspecting eye will believe that one is actually drinking cola.
Come on, everybody who has been in college around here (Romania) knows that.
7222  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet.org - SCAMMERS CONFIRMED - Pending Litigation on: April 15, 2021, 07:55:30 AM
$100,000 in monero gone, stolen by these crooks.

I am still shocked how can people in the year 2021 still keep huge amounts of money in the custody of basically random third party.
Sorry OP and best of luck, you will need it.

7223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bloomberg predicting BTC reaching $400K in 2021 on: April 14, 2021, 07:45:19 PM
It seems that bulls arent really that strong

Actually it's even better that the price doesn't grow continuously. It makes the overall bull run take longer.
And I find about odd the talk about "bulls not strong" when 3.5 months ago the price was less than half of what's now.

An extrapolation would tell that if the price doubles (and more) every ~3.5 months, the price could get to 400k before the year ends.
Too bad that extrapolations don't always work.
7224  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BlockChain.Com Wallet - Why transaction FEE Is very HIGH on: April 14, 2021, 04:56:12 PM
Hi dear managers,
I have two wallets in BlockChain.Com web site.
When i want to transfer bitcoin from one of them situation is like this :
Money for transfer : $1000
Transaction Fee = Priority = $26
In another wallet situation is like this :
Money for transfer : $1000
Transaction Fee = Priority = $210
I am so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why does BlockChain.Com act like this?
How can i reduce second wallet's fee?

I can try to help, but you provided far too few information.
First of all, blockchain.com is a private company and we are not their support. Also, although they do offer a web wallet solution, web wallets are not advised because they are inherently unsafe.

Now, about your problem.
The transaction fee depends on how busy the network is - that increases the fee/vByte your wallet will ask - and the size of your transaction.
From the info you provided I think that the second wallet has a lot of small inputs and that makes it big hence expensive (analogy: wallet 1 has banknotes, wallet 2 has a ton of small coins and you'll have to hire a truck/lorry to carry them)

How... if you work from desktop/laptop you'll probably have to import the wallet into a smarter one and make your transaction only from the bigger inputs.
And the smaller inputs you'll use/consolidate when the network fees are lower (weekends).

However, until we get here, you should validate that this is indeed the case (you indeed have big number of inputs in wallet 2)
7225  Economy / Speculation / Re: OK my apology Bitcoin is not a PONZI but I still call it a huge bubble on: April 14, 2021, 04:04:24 PM
how much money do you willing to spare to buy bitcoin?

1. Like for any other investment, if you want to buy and hold, i.e. invest, never spend more than you afford to lose.
This is a main rule and it's different for each different person.

2. Keep in mind that you can buy even very small fractions of Bitcoin.

3. You seem to be missed the fact that bitcoin is also a coin, i.e. something than can be earned or spent for goods and services (i.e. you can work for it and at payday buy something nice)
7226  Economy / Reputation / Re: The shameful Romanian translation of Bitcoin white paper from Bitcoin.org on: April 14, 2021, 03:09:18 PM
Please be so kind and change the author as well. Thank you in advance.

I've made today a new pull request (this time for the web page) where I've put, as you asked, your name as translator and the link to your Bitcointalk profile.
And (drums..) the pull request was already merged (some minutes ago) by Cøbra to master repository.
So I expect that rather soon this will also be visible on the website.

Edit: It's all good now. And I guess that this thread can be locked. There's nothing shameful any longer in the Romanian translation for the Bitcoin white paper. Au contraire!  Wink

Link to OMNR?? Dunno why I failed to find anything related to it!

I am not certain, but he may be referring to OWNR.
I've noticed their announcement not long ago, if you scroll up a bit you'll find my post.
(I don't know how good they are, DYOR before putting too much money there.)
7228  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: STATIC ADDRESS on: April 14, 2021, 02:33:11 PM
Hi my apologies coz I am rather new in this community. Anyways here's my question.

I needed a STATIC ADDRESS where people sending me bitcoins would just use one bitcoin address from me and I won't have to give them a new address everytime.

I have both electrum in my cellphone and my laptop.

I went to RECEIVED page on my electrum (in my laptop) and click NEVER in the "expires at" drop down menu.

I am waiting to received my bitcoin then when I tried to check on my electrum on my cellphone, it shows EXPIRED on the receiving address that I mentioned that I've clicked NEVER expires.

Just want to ask if I would still be able to receive my bitcoin, coz I read in the net that addresses assigned to your wallet would not expire and is assigned to you for a long time and can be re used.

Please help and stay safe everyone.

Thank you.

1. Please move your thread to Beginners and Help. (bottom-left, move topic)

2. The addresses don't expire. Only the related receipts may expire, but that doesn't matter in your case.
So just use that receive address you've got, it's just fine and as long as your wallet exists it won't expire.
You can also do Show->View addresses and you'll see the current (they may be more in the future) addresses in your wallet. You can also copy one of those if it feels safer  Wink

3. Since you are new with Electrum, I also recommend you make sure you use Electrum downloaded from https://electrum.org and verified: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/

4. Keep your wallet and seed safe, anybody having the seed can spend your funds, so you better save it to paper and clearly not into mail, Dropbox and such.
7229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience with Trading Bots on: April 14, 2021, 12:34:27 PM
Has anyone actually had some good experience with (right set up) trading bots?
If so can you recommend any - that would be nice!
Or have you maybe some warnings about scams(which bots definitely not to use, or what to look for in a bot to avoid it beeing a scam)

I didn't use trading bots, but I've translated this website some months ago, I've found it pretty informative and, although I'm not affiliated with it, I recommend you give it a read: https://tradingbot.info/

I dont know VOD , can you send me his picture and address and mobile number to prove he is not the FED ?

Ok say i say i am a cocain dealer, i say i can supply 20 KG a month, should prove to every tom dick and harry that i can supply 20 KG a month, the location and all my clintele ??

You keep finding answers and ways to dodge the actual problem.
I can tell you that all these answers just show everybody that you are not ripe enough to properly handle a (any) business involving money.
7231  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards on: April 14, 2021, 09:37:20 AM
Same thing applies for Advcash, I believe they're planning to go worldwide soon.

AdvCash are planning that for about a year, I think.
That means that it can happen "any time now" or in years (unfortunately).
Also keep an eye on their new inactivity fees.
7232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transactions unconfirmed on: April 14, 2021, 07:47:53 AM
Yes it's being delayed because of the fee, since you mentioned fee 0.00001784 BTC ($1.15) which is far too low are per the current average.

The absolute fee is meaningless, please keep the discussion on sat/vByte.
And the 8 sat/vByte OP has been using is indeed too low. Just look at https://mempool.space/ for the current fees.

Here are some online links which claim to accelerate your transaction.

The free accelerator that indeed works needs at least 10 sat/vByte, so this transaction doesn't qualify.
But you're right with CPFP: if OP is in a hurry and he owns one of the receiving addresses, he can spend that (unconfirmed) input with significantly higher fee than the current average and he will get both transactions confirmed.
If OP is not in a hurry, he should wait until the week-end when the fees use to drop and maybe then his tx will get confirmed (last week-end they've dropped until around 5 sat/vByte).
7233  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Mycellium vs CoinBase?Whats the difference? on: April 14, 2021, 07:36:53 AM
Ledger OTG Kit

OTG cable or adapter is the same - well, if depends on the phone's USB type, but that's all - and can be bought from anywhere. You have to be only careful that the cable is data cable.
I've bought mine for about 50 cents from AliExpress some years ago, it's a tiny adapter I have to insert into the USB cable, hence I use it together with Nano S factory cable.
But, while it works with Mycelium, it cannot work with Electrum, simply because that part is not implemented in Electrum for Android.
7234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin, I salute your final ATH. on: April 13, 2021, 03:52:37 PM
Updated OP to account for another very trivial error.

I'm curious what will happen first: you'll reach the maximum post length with the trivial corrections or you'll be finally right Cheesy
7235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $1 million this cycle really possible? on: April 13, 2021, 01:56:19 PM
is the really possible what looks like a dream - $ 1 million for bitcoin this cycle?

I don't know and I don't care. And you shouldn't either. Bitcoin price is already more than great for this cycle.

On the other hand, people that may be smarter than me have been saying that this bull run will be longer and higher than the previous one.
The previous one have ran from under 1000$ to almost 20000$. The charts show exponential growth, hence "longer" can mean anything, sky is the limit. Common sense tells me that asking for 1M in this bull run may be too much though...
7236  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: transfer fee rate how much ? on: April 13, 2021, 10:46:41 AM
Also as an advice, since you use Electrum, make sure that RBF is ON, so you can replace the transaction if it takes way too long to get confirmed.
I am not sure about electrum on desktop, but the latest release Android versions (4.1.1, and now 4.1.2) do not have any feature again to enable replace-by-fee as it is now enabled by default. If the sender is about to send the btc, it can flag it final, which means it is not replaceable. But to enable replace-by-fee, the transaction should not be flagged final. I believe this should be how it also now work on desktop versions latest release, but I am not certain about it yet.

I don't use Electrum for Android since it doesn't support hardware wallet. So I don't know how's there.
But what you are telling is rather confusing imho. My desktop Electrum (not the latest, but close) has a setting in preferences called "Use Replace-By-Fee"; this is what I was referring to and this should be checked.

7237  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: transfer fee rate how much ? on: April 13, 2021, 09:59:41 AM
i dont understand for btc transfer, how much select for fee rate ?

The fee rate doesn't depend on the amount you send, it depends on the size of your transaction.
This means the number of inputs and outputs. Simply you will pay much more to send a truck full of pennies than a couple of banknotes (yes, it matters a lot how you have the money in the wallet)
Then, the fee rate fluctuates a lot by how "busy" the network is. You can follow https://mempool.space/ for a while and see what happens there.

Since you didn't tell the actual fee / vBytes I cannot answer better to your question.
As an advice, if you have the time to wait, follow that website and send the coins when the fees are low (it usually happens in the week-ends).
Also as an advice, since you use Electrum, make sure that RBF is ON, so you can replace the transaction if it takes way too long to get confirmed.
7238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non Fungible Tokens (NFT) on: April 13, 2021, 09:07:26 AM
that's my explanation from my perspective.

It's an simplified and incomplete overview of the situation, but I've awarded you with 1 merit for the idea.

This is a complicated question

I didn't intend to make it simple or complicated  Smiley , but the fact it's not clear/straightforward made me ask.
Thanks for the answers.

So the ice was broken. Great news! And the price seems to love this news too  Cheesy
As I've seen posted on twitter too: let's finally end this mess.
I'm curious how long will this lawsuit take and how many other will follow...

If the plans that are foreseen for the 3rd generation cars, foreseen for 2022, the strategy of the box will come into play.
It is planned, the cars will be more powerful and this will force you to make at least one stop in the box, to make a battery charge super fast.

Interesting news. Then there's hope. They are advancing, and rather fast.
I'll keep an eye, although most probably won't watch all the races, not yet  Wink
