7221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you have a prediction? on: March 07, 2019, 07:39:07 PM
I really wanted to see bitcoin be adopted globally. All others good and positive things will happen, but if governments around the world will bend and somewhat adopt crypto then I think the future will be bright for us not just in terms of the price, but people around the world can really take advantage like being used as remittances and of course being the main services as payment system. It doesn't matter if its going to happen in 2 or 10 years. As long as we can get to that point in the future, I will be very happy and hope that it will really occur.
7222  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-3-6]San Marino Legally Tests Blockchain & Cryptocurrency on: March 07, 2019, 07:28:21 PM
I thought that San Marino's economy is very very strongly correlated with Italy's. Doesn't that mean that if San Marino starts to test Blockchain and cryptocurrencies that Italy does the same? If this is true, then it is a huge step towards mass adoption because Italy is a core member of the European Union with a huge influence in other countries.

From what I understand, San Marino is quite stable and tourism almost cornered half of it's GDP. Italy and San Marino have bilateral relationships so I wouldn't be surprised if there's some sort of go signal from Italy itself although San Marino is a independent state. As per the article:

Quote
All the characters have recapped that this Decree is just the beginning and the launch of a regulation on the Blockchain technology and its applications which will be progressively augmented to make the Republic a comprehensive global hub for this nascent innovative technology.

Interestingly, they wanted to compete and be a global hub as far as blockchain technology goes, so let's see what incentives they're going to prepare to attract project similar to what the government of Malta is doing today.
7223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most prominent crypto investor on: March 07, 2019, 02:24:04 PM
Maybe you can check this thread The Definitive List of Celebs [et al.] Embracing Bitcoin/Crypto w/Links (proof), it's a good start. But as far as who have made tons of money here? hard to say as bitcoin address doesn't have names with it  Grin.
7224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino Affiliate Marketing Tips on: March 07, 2019, 02:11:41 PM
~ snip ~
A website is a must for affiliate marketing. You need to write contents regularly to keep your visitors active in your website. You need to find a niche which you are interested. It's a long process so without having interest in the niche you will find it frustrating to carry on.

When you start the website you don't just start pitching your affiliate links. Build up a community, build up reputation. Present yourself as someone who is capable of giving solutions and be honest with what you say. People will follow you. Once you will successfully build up a community then you can recommend whatever you want. You will know what they need.

I don't know if website is really a must though. Everyone started small so I don't think someone will really starts creating website. Personally, I tested the water but I don't think it's for me though that's why I didn't pursue. Maybe for others, a website or just a youtube channel or just a simple blog will make it for some or just even a signatures in this community will do.

7226  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-3-3]Millennial Investors Prefer Crypto Over Stock Exchange on: March 07, 2019, 01:51:55 PM
@kemarit, i get your point but crypto looks much more appealing than stock to me (millenials). at least the barrier to entry is relatively low and i can do it with only $10. maybe etf is an alternative for this but i do believe it's not really interesting because the return is relatively low compared to crypto. in the end, maybe it's a combination of crypto and traditional investment. no need to choose only one if you can do both.

Right, that's what I'm trying to drive at. I'm not millenials but during my time it was really the old and traditional stocks as the "it" investment. I know you guys may have a bad taste about stocks but if you can do both then why not. And I'm somewhat lucky though because there is some guidance, but how about millenials though, we have seen majority of them lost a lot during this bear market. Expensive lessons to learn but if someone can guide them, then they will have a positive experience. Instead of getting in, suffered big time and never comeback, IMHO.
7227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokens end ? on: March 07, 2019, 01:11:52 PM
However, it is still possible to buy a token from investors.

I'm confused, what do you mean buying token from investors?

But can it happen that tokens will completely disappear from the markets. Today their recession is on. Is it possible that the cryptocurrency will be forgotten by society and something else will take its place?

Disappear? meaning every tokens have been sold?  What we have seeing is a bear market, how will society forgot it when some of them have real life usage or most of them are still being patronized even if this worsening market conditions? Maybe some of the tokens will die, but I'm sure there are hundreds being born every month so the cycle repeats again.
7228  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nova Exchange - Started to Implement KYC to Users on: March 07, 2019, 01:01:16 PM
IMO, having level 2 would be nonsense if they will require to updrade to level 3 within a specified time. It shoud be optional/voluntary

This new rule is ridiculous, why don't they just do what binance did.
Damn, this made me think to not use this and just stick to my usual thing. Of course, it's their new SOP but I really hate dealing with kyc verification. I don't want my face to be in the black market, lol!

Of course if you're not confident to submit your KYC then by all means move out of this exchange and withdraw all your funds, problem solved. I do hope though that Nova Exchange will learn from Coinbase, never ever hire a third party to handle your KYC procedure, if you're going to get a company then be sure they are trusted and legit and won't have the tendency to sell all our personal data.
7229  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please be CAREFULLY using trading polish platform Bitbay.net (OWN me 3000Eur) on: March 07, 2019, 12:51:37 PM
This situation clearly shows that exchanges can do literally everything with our money and use all kind of excuses as their weapon.

There is no need to ban BitBay because we have negative reputation feature and our members will be warned thanks to OP.

And that is the scary part, they can confiscate our funds anytime they want without any justification or something. The sad part is that we are users are going to accused of everything in the book. Again, this is like a one way street, you deposit your money and then when you wanted out, you can't because of their 'suspicions'. Just a suspicions and all your funds are gone and worst part of it is that the exchange is going to keep it, so it's blatantly stealing.
7230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price on: March 07, 2019, 12:40:51 PM
Well as far bitcoin is concern, I do not agree that it is only demand and supply that affects the price. If we saybis only demand and supply , how come we experienced a crash in early last year after we had the ATH. I think fud and the bubble story are also part of what affects price.

You also need to understand that the market works in cycles, last 2017 was the last great bullish cycles and eventually everyone was caught in the hysteria and thinking it won't go down, unfortunately a new cycle risen that up to this point, we are still experiencing it and no one knows for sure when it's going to end.

I can understand bitcoin prices are very fascinating but crypto is a long term asset where you can see a big Impact only after 2020, Market value has been continuously manipulated by big investors also the supply and demand seems to be low that's the reason the value is not moving up. The value triggers every time we need to wait patiently until the bull run appears.

Not all crypto investors have that kind of mindset, majority of them are still living in 2017 and thinking that they can make loads of money here and didn't look for long term. Manipulations, FUD are some things to consider. If you're going to look at the bright side, bitcoin block halving in 2020 maybe what we all have been waiting for as a catalyst to push the price where everyone will be happy.
7231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin stimulus 2019 on: March 07, 2019, 12:28:20 PM
It's a different ball game right now. We have a lot of good news in the pipeline, but still the questions remains, are they good enough to push the price again? I believed that institutional money needs to flow into the ecosystem to get the price going, but I don't know what catalyst those guys needed if could be the combination of those aforementioned by other posters and not just a single event to trigger the price to build up again and reach another all-time-high.
7232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Cheat Sheet Collection on: March 07, 2019, 04:48:57 AM
This is really a great article and it is invested a lot of time. thank you for this. But personally, I don't really want to apply these strategies in my real portfolio. These are just basic theories for people to better understand how the market works and it cannot give traders significant profits. We need to flexibly change in different stages and difficult situations.
Stereotyped investment will be the worst I've ever known.

But at least for noob crypto traders, their eye will dilate seeing those chart patterns. How many of us started here totally noob and we don't know what those guys in this community are talking specially if they're discussing technical terms in trading? I guess this charts will really help them if they're hearing like H&S (head and shoulder), specially if you go to Speculation thread, so this is very useful. At least they can have a understanding of what basic charts are and from there they can formulate their own strategies.
7233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 07, 2019, 04:31:52 AM
~ snip ~

Yes I remember this well even though I was young at the time but I remember watching this with my grandfather and we thought who is this young Women beating the best Women's player in the world at the time and now Serena would have to be the greatest Women's tennis player of all time. Osaka will be hard to beat in this tournament and I think she will be hard to beat all year, can Osaka win all four Grand Slams this year? I think she can go close, what does everyone else think?

Good question. I think we should look at the top 5 ladies right now and see how she gauge against the competition.

2. S. Halep
3 P. Kvitová
4 S. Stephens
5 K. Plíšková

I think with that competition, she definitely had a edge right now and the thing with here is that she is still very young, just like Serena did early, Naomi will continue to dominate the tournament and the odds are very high for her to win all four Slams this year.
7234  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-3-3]Millennial Investors Prefer Crypto Over Stock Exchange on: March 07, 2019, 04:21:56 AM
This is very interesting statistics, though I would still be careful in assuming that this is completely non-biased, because it is after all commissioned by eToro.

Exactly, this reports came from eToro, as they're one of the leading social trading platform which includes crypto. I'm observing young people around me (families, and extended families) if they are indeed into investing, not just crypto but even in other investments platform, but so far I heard none of them. I remember I was exposed heavily on stocks because of the father's influence. At a early young age, started to read newspapers about our local stock exchanges. Anyhow, my point is that millennials are probably willing to invest, as long as there are someone who can guide them in the beginning as what I have experience from my father.
7235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: #Deletecoinbase - Agree or Disagree? on: March 06, 2019, 06:16:46 PM

I don't know, I just don't really participate with these Twitter hashtag movement thingies, so don't really have an opinion on it.

Exactly, I don't know if this so called Twitter hashtag will bring some effect. If you're really not comfortable then don't trade in that platform simply as that. I heard reports that Coinbase took a massive hit on this negative publicity. But at the end of the day, business will continue as usual and I'm sure they learn a expensive lessons on hiring company to handle their KYC procedures and a throughly process should be put into place to avoid this incidents in the future.
7236  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Coinbase's recent Hacking Team stuff on: March 06, 2019, 01:15:34 PM
However you can't trust these guys. Many questions remain unanswered. They admitted they sold data among other things, no clear answers.

This is what really turns me off. The fact that they have admitted selling our data, how can we trust them? They shot themselves in the feet with this admittance, so I don't know what to say about them except to stay away from this platform.

My advice is to stay safe, do not use exchanges unless the coins you deposit are from a clear origin you can prove. Most of us are good people but governments don't care and im sure they will be glad to take away your bitcoins when they can find the legal loopholes to do so.

And the scary thing is that once you withdraw them, and suddenly they freeze your account because it's under suspicions, then you can't do anything. Specially if you're going to withdraw huge amount of coins.
7237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter is Over - Spring has Come on: March 06, 2019, 01:05:32 PM
The growth of bitcoin in this quarter is still slow and there is still no significant rise on its price. The ice is not yet completely thawed for the bitcoin and it need more time to melt before warming up. The price of the leading cryptocurrency rose modestly in the past few days but only to decline again in the next day. The next quarter might be better if there are positive developments that will stimulate the price of the bitcoin to go up.
I think in the next year I am sure what you hope for can be achieved because in Bitcoin I see rumors that there will be halving so that from last year I observed when halving day like that would make the price of bitcoin very expensive and would affect all prices cryptocurrency.

That is not a rumor, block halving always occur every 4 years. However, halving is not the solution overnight, that is if you think that the price will go on a bull-run. The last halving effect was like 4-5 months. We never felt the instant effect, so you have to remember that. And we are still more than 1 year from that event, many things can happen, so let's just wait for it and let's work our ass off to make money out of this bear market and we will get to the bitcoin block halving and it effect eventually.
7238  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please be CAREFULLY using trading polish platform Bitbay.net (OWN me 3000Eur) on: March 06, 2019, 12:54:17 PM
How can you detect if the user has indeed fake his KYC? What steps? Are you looking closely at the documents being send if there's is some alterations? Or do you have a database to compare the documents? Because you tell us that you have 'suspicions', how did you arrived on that? Who decides if the document is suspicious to you?
7239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trader Brutally Tortured on: March 06, 2019, 12:43:16 PM
It could be that:

[1] the victim was proudly declaring to the world that he has tons of crypto
[2] he tells his friends about his crypto and then concocted a plot to steal them
[3] somewhat overheard him telling his friends about his crypto

Anyways, in the last few years we have heard similar stories like this. There was even a Norwegian man murdered after he liquidated his assets (https://ethereumworldnews.com/a-24-year-norwegian-man-killed-after-selling-his-bitcoins/). So my advise is just to keep quite about your crypto earnings. You will never know those criminals are just around and looking to target unsuspecting crypto enthusiast.
7240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why does Binance seem to fluctuate more than Coinbase? on: March 06, 2019, 12:33:47 PM
I Have bitcoin in both, on Binance and Coinbase.  On Binance it's volatility seems to be much greater.  I saw a $100 fluctuation on Binance where coinbase was around $30. What causes this big difference?

Obviously, It's because of Binance's trading volume. And it has been proven, well at least there was a report than Binance wasn't able in any wash trading (  https://www.blockchaintransparency.org/). And I don't see much difference though, statistically, just a small difference and there might be days Coinbase will be the volatile one, so I wouldn't put too emphasis on the fluctuations you have discovered.
