7241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Warren Buffet build wealth by investing? on: January 14, 2020, 12:09:44 PM
No doubt that he's a legend in investing and also a hardworking person when he was a kid. The life story of successful people like him is motivating a lot of people to get out of poverty through working wise and smart.
I can't reach what he has reached but at least I'm hoping that I can have a decent life by investing to bitcoin which he is against of.
7242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End to the Craig Wright FUD in less than a month - 3rd Feb 2020 on: January 14, 2020, 11:06:02 AM
Due to these hearings most of the Bitcoin Forks are all pumping. Bitcoin SV pumped almost 100% recently due to this news and it doesn't stop there. You guys probably forgot about the smaller bitcoin forks like Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Diamond, they are also up this week by 30% and 25%, respectively. All of them are even outperforming Bitcoin Cash.
So, this was the reason why we're seeing these forks pump lately. I thought that it was a normal pumping for most of them but this kind of event is really taking care of the pump.
Waiting until Feb 4 and we'll see what's going to be his next speech.
7243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 cryptocurrencies to invest in 2020 on: January 14, 2020, 10:27:33 AM
I think this was the nth time that I've seen this kind of topic. Like the concern above, don't let us go through another link to gain views for your articles.
You can easily quote the content of that article and just simply share it here.
There are so many topics about top coins and I really can't trust any other people predictions because the current market depends so much on the value of Bitcoin. Of course I will still see that article but certainly will not trust because these are old options and not many people interested in this time. In addition, I prefer investing in new projects because these are projects that have the interest of so many people.

I think one way or another, we need to guarantee profits this year because any investment is at its own risk.
You just have to read the coins that they are suggesting so that you wouldn't be taking the risk that they are passing to their readers. If the coins they are suggesting are good enough for your appetite and choice of coins, it's still you that will choosing it at the end.
As you have said, risk is there so profit isn't guaranteed. You have to sell at the right time.
7244  Economy / Economics / Re: Halving is approacing: HOLD YOUR BITCOINS AND NEVER SELL THEM (129 days left) on: January 14, 2020, 09:40:13 AM
I understand the message of what op wants to send us. It's very plain that we just have to keep our bitcoins until the right time of selling it. Be it @$20,000 , $50,000 , $100,000 or more than that. Set a target price that you want to sell and hold it until it comes.
when is the right time to sell? it will be a waste of time, why not just trade the Bitcoin you have? great potential to get profits will be higher
I can trade if ever I want to buy I'm not good on it and this is more precious than the alts that I have. I don't have to sell it for the moment and if you want to trade it and you don't get rekt, good for you but this isn't a good tradable coin for me. I have other choice to trade rather than bitcoin.
It's not a waste of time to sell at the right time, it's effortless and worth it.

$35,000 for its marketcap and with a $1 for the daily volume? Are you seriously asking if you want to proceed with this coin? if I were you, I will avoid this coin and just move on.
Are you hunting these "gems"?
7248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still or altcoins on: January 11, 2020, 09:24:26 PM
Using my pattern as an example,. Nothing beats balancing your portf.

Bitcoin definitely must be 60%
Then valuable altcoins follow suits.

Do not pack altcoins for storage sake
Invest s in value always
60%+ is a wise percentage of the total bitcoins you have in your portfolio. I think it's more than a safe haven for your portfolio if ever the market pushes the price down because bitcoin will always be the less affected if we're not anymore in the bear market.
You can made bigger profit on altcoins in less time and then you can buy Bitcoin. Consider if it is not better to buy cheap altcoins and later exchange it to BTC.  Wink
This is considered day trading but risky for not practiced traders.

7250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did the first miners mined bitcoin? on: January 11, 2020, 08:05:07 PM
bL4nkcode is right.
After a few days, bitcoin was running pretty stably, so I left it running. Those were the days when difficulty was 1, and you could find blocks with a CPU, not even a GPU. I mined several blocks over the next days. But I turned it off because it made my computer run hot, and the fan noise bothered me. In retrospect, I wish I had kept it up longer, but on the other hand I was extraordinarily lucky to be there at the beginning. It's one of those glass half full half empty things.

And the first coins were sent by satoshi himself to Hal as test.
I think I was the first person besides Satoshi to run bitcoin. I mined block 70-something, and I was the recipient of the first bitcoin transaction, when Satoshi sent ten coins to me as a test. I carried on an email conversation with Satoshi over the next few days, mostly me reporting bugs and him fixing them.
7251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: KEY (Slelfkey) good to invest ? on: January 10, 2020, 11:37:08 PM
IMO.
I would avoid buying coins like this for now. It's better to focus lately to BTC/USDT pairs because bitcoin is moving like a beast. Drops fast and recovers fast.
But anyway, good luck to your trade.
7252  Economy / Economics / Re: Question about inflation and debt. on: January 10, 2020, 11:11:48 PM
No, it won't be a decent way to pay debts. If that's literally a good idea then most of the countries did this already but there's an inflation each year and if a country prints more money, their economy will be negatively affected.
Law of supply and demand can also be applied to this, think of what will be the effect of too much supply of printed money in the circulation.
7253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High price but no volume on: January 10, 2020, 10:51:38 PM
How to sell if there's no volume?
That's the problem with these coins that has good price but never seen a volume and if there will ever be, the price would be lowered and the quantity of what the buyer wants is pretty low.

maybe this is just the strategy adopted by most projects that do not have a strong team so that they are able to target high prices on the tokens just to attract the attention of investors, but ultimately the project cannot be developed to the maximum so that the tokens cannot enter the exchange market
High price but with no volume possibly means that they don't have much supply. And they are stuck because no one is willing to buy their token and that's a very hard part for them. It's hard to attract investors if there is no longer a good volume for a coin and it is a sign that coin is about to die soon.
7254  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have a good domain name, but looking for an idea or partner... on: January 10, 2020, 10:29:24 PM
Anc like 'a news channel' for cryptocurrencies or coins. So it's going to be like that. What do you think about that idea? But if no idea comes to be feasible to you, I think with that .com and few letters of domain name can give you a nice profit by selling it.
7255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing in crypto? on: January 10, 2020, 10:01:26 PM
Thanks for those articles mate. I've heard about it with Litecoin but for bitcoin I didn't. And that's why I'm asking for some sources and thank you for providing it.
me too, as crypto users and we must keep update with the latest news about that. I'm also very interesting to see bitcoin mimble wimble and just hope mimble wimble for litecoin will be going smoothly and we will see mimble wimble protocol for bitcoin. after that say bye to the mixer in the future
Do you that it's really going to be applicable to bitcoin very soon? The test should be successful with Litecoin and if that happens then the core team should apply it then, however, I think we're still far looking from that day that MW will be applied to bitcoin.
It's more of the altcoins for now but we'll see if the core team will be focusing on it someday.
7256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Incase of any change in bounty. on: January 10, 2020, 09:38:30 PM
I think the twitter campaign. Twitter became strict with the accounts that's associated with bounties, they are banning without notice but regardless of that I think all of them will stay as long as there are projects that are willing to conduct such marketing.
7257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coin answer needed asap on: January 10, 2020, 09:14:21 PM
I think the thread has already provided you the right details op so there's no need for you to worry about it. If you're worrying what chain is right, you just have to follow tips given to you.
And since it seems this thread has served the purpose, can now lock it.
7258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance CEO finally admitted shilling both BTC and BNB on: January 09, 2020, 02:49:19 PM
It's bitcoin and BNB so no big deal for him. He's the owner of BNB so it's an obvious call for him and BTC, everybody is saying that "buy bitcoin" so how can it be shilling?
He's a marketer and it's normal for him to that and what I like from him, he does support bitcoin so we do.
7259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex no longer asks for verification of new users on: January 09, 2020, 02:07:43 PM
Can you send a copy of their email? they are sinking and probably noticed the drop of their users and found out that it's probably one of the reason.
Good job on their part as most of the users doesn't really want to rely on KYC and don't want to comply on it, they can limit each accounts as an option for both users and their end.

- Mimble wimble litecoin and bitcoin
Where can we read more of this?

https://medium.com/@LitecoinDotCom/litecoin-project-developers-begin-work-on-mimblewimble-implementation-893da7dd07b

That article is about the implementation of mimble wimble and as far as I know mimble wimble can be also implemented into the bitcoin as it fits litecoin chain. Some people have already expected if the litecoin supporters are also interesting to put this as off-chain development for bitcoin.

Thanks for those articles mate. I've heard about it with Litecoin but for bitcoin I didn't. And that's why I'm asking for some sources and thank you for providing it.
