I am saying the logic of account membership for example when a person has 10+ feedback or no negative feedback shows he is trustable, but when the account is buyable everyone can sell his/her account easily meaning that selling trust

Don't forget that when an account is sold, it usually gains some nice red negative feedbacks by trustworthy members that remember us it was a bought account.

That doesn't happen as much as it used to unless the account looks like it's going to be used nefariously. Some people used to leave account sellers negative on sight as well but that doesn't really happen either now.

I just tried to use your site for the first time and it says not avalible in Australia, are you planning on opening this up to us in the future?

It's due to legal issues there, so use tor or a proxy or something.

Does this mean that Australian players using the site could be at risk even if they use a proxy? I haven't read anything about bitcoin gambling laws in Australia?

There is a small risk, but it's more PD covering their back against potential legal action more than anything else. Users are likely safe, especially if you use tor or a safe VPN etc.

It has been proposed before but it would unlikely work, though it would be an interesting experiment. It's easily figured out and once it has been and then the whole process will be largely futile.
7264  Other / Meta / Re: Can we get nubie jail back please. on: December 19, 2014, 01:50:18 PM
Again, as above, that probably won't stop the persistent trolls. They'll likely get around it someway. Hopefully there's a better captcha system on the new forum and that might cut bots down, but I guess even they can usually be bypassed somehow. It's a never ending battle with one side always trying to outsmart the other.

Does it? Feedback doesn't equals trust; it means they've (allegedly) done a successful trade. People can also fake feedback or buy it easily enough. I could create an alt account leave a load of feedback for fake trades and would you then trust it? No. The feedback is there as a guide and you should make your own mind up about the individual user but don't just blindly trust someone as you can easily be deceived.
7266  Other / Meta / Re: selling bitcoin accounts on: December 19, 2014, 11:01:27 AM
The logic is we can't stop the sale of accounts whether it is banned or not. Most accounts are bought and sold for signature campaigns and not used for anything nefarious (though that of course does occasionally happen), but if you wanted to scam you can just easily create a new account and do so.

There's no amount of restrictions that we could put in place that would stop the worst offenders. The determined ones will bypass anything to continue their trolling or spamming but we just deal with them as they come and are reported.

7271  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SEGVEC CONNED ME OUT OF 14.09 BTC on: December 18, 2014, 02:53:27 PM
Hello!

Few weeks ago i made a deal with Segvec for custom painting for him.( He wanted a replica of this painting below).
I was like,i will try it,no problem).
1.I thought he might like it,and did not ask for advance,we just set price around 500 usd + 90 usd shipping.
2.He said "Yes,im ok with it"
3.I made a first version of painting ( dirty),and after that a second final version of painting.
4.He began to avoid ending of deal, and after few days he refused to pay.
5.I didnt know what to do,so i said he act like a scammer and i am gonna report it to admin.
6.He was upset,he said the painting looks like a garbage, ended and told me" Eat shit and die,Zoran"

I was in shock, something like that never happened to me.
(Immediately,I deleted my PMs,have not sent negative trust, and forget it.)

Always take a deposit or if you don't expect things like this to occasionally happen. I'm sure you can sell it to someone else here. Oh, you shouldn't delete PMs especially when there could be a problem like there is now.
7272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Changetip & Tipping tuesday on: December 18, 2014, 08:11:56 AM
Too bad this forum doesn't have a tipping feature.

Wasn't there supposed to be a 1 million dollar redesign? I wonder why we aren't hearing any progress on this?

There's a whole subforum dedicated to the new forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=167.0

And at least one thread requesting changetip/a tipping feature to be implemented: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=849071.0
7273  Other / Meta / Re: Why is my post getting deleted ? on: December 18, 2014, 07:54:49 AM
I saw someone had marked your recent reports as bad for those and was wondering why. There seems to be some confusion over the issue, but maybe it's because you don't know for sure the accounts are hacked (as likely as they may be).
7274  Other / Meta / Re: Why Does My Signature Link Get Removed? on: December 18, 2014, 07:38:16 AM
Ha, that's what I thought. Was going to delete the post for a reported necrobump but thought at least he bothered to search (and we all know how bad the search is here).
7275  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SEGVEC CONNED ME OUT OF 14.09 BTC on: December 18, 2014, 07:34:05 AM
Great, thanks.
A scammer would never send anything, not even a penny.

Not really. Even scammers can have a change of heart or feel guilty, or maybe this is just you attempting to buy some time. $100 might be enough to make you feel a little bit better and it's nothing compared to the amount owed that you could and should pay back instantly.
7276  Other / Meta / Re: Why Does My Signature Link Get Removed? on: December 18, 2014, 06:32:27 AM
That's because this is an old thread with the old rules. Signature restrictions were changed. You need to become a Jnr Member to have links in your signature now.

- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 50 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 150 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

Of course I wasn't being serious, but asking in here every couple of days isn't going to make it come any faster and people just need to wait for Stunna to make an announcement when he's ready.

Hilariousandco, a suggestion: zero or very low credit for posting in this thread.

That will discourage the idle chatter and endless speculation that makes this thread virtually unusable.

Besides, it would be like preaching to the choir.   Wink

I agree if adding specific threads can be discounted via the bot.

I think posting to any of the primedice thread should not be paid but it does serve the purpose of bumping the thread to the top of the marketplace or gambling section so the posts have some value for primedice when they are not spam posts.

People will still post in them, they just won't get paid by PD to do so. There's other people on other campaigns that will still post in there as well.
7278  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: December 17, 2014, 02:24:37 PM
You are correct, I only quoted what Bitmixer said, I don't know why Theymos doesn't accept Bitmixer's add but I would speculate it has to do with the fact he thinks they are a shady business that could disappear overtime.

So could every other company that advertises here and some are far more shady than Bitmixer (like they said their ads are also on google). Jumbling bitcoins probably isn't even illegal either, but exchanges and gambling websites are more likely to be so I don't really buy this argument unless he knows something we don't.

Everytime someone posts in this thread asking when it's coming Stunna pushes it back by another week.
