7261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think that the price is fully manipulated? on: June 17, 2018, 02:09:12 AM
It is just a coincidence.
You are just trying to analyze way deeper than anyone.
Thise are billions of dollars that are out there. How do you think you could shake it without even a trace from amy industry. Banks and other financial services can somehow tell where it will come from if it is that big.

Right now it gets stricter. There is a limit into how much you can deposit and withdraw. So it will not be easy to manipulate it. You would need a big group to make it happen.
7262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty without manager? on: June 16, 2018, 10:58:24 PM
Why is the bounty still centralized? I think that it would be cool if the participants themselves moderated other participants.

The scheme is very simple.
1. A part of the bounty is allocated to moderation. For example, 10%.
2. Every day, bounty members receive random tasks for moderation the work of other participants. Tasks are randomly distributed.
Example of task. A member of the bounty wrote a tweet about bounty company. You need to read the tweet and rate it. You can rate tweet as good or scam. If tweet is scam you must write why
3. Every task checked by 5 - 30 peoples. Task marked as "well done" only if 70% peoples mark it as good. This mechanism is similar to the transaction confirmation mechanism in blockchain. The difference is that blockchain use 51% rule.
4. For every task members get stack. At the end of bounty stacks calculated and members receive tokens for moderation.
5. Accounts whose ratings differ from most people will very often will be banned. This is mechanism from blockchain too. This will remove members who want to reduce the number of stacks and get more reward.

All system must be transparent for all and based on bitcointalk accounts. What do you think about it?

UPD: Manager still needed but work only on content creation and news.

I dont think bounty hunterd would like to do that.
They cannot even finish the work for a week and giving them more task will just make it worse.

It is the bounty managers job. Although it will be a hard work they were paid quite good than what will bounty hunters get.

Maybe you should try to be a manager and do that kind of thing. I bet there will just little applicants that will want that kind of work.
7263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 16, 2018, 08:57:02 PM
If ever Kawhi really leaves Spurs, that's a big loss for them and they aren't a ring contender anymore not unless they will get Lebron James in exchange but if these two superstar team up in Lakers, sure thing Lakers will be back in Playoffs or if they choose both Spurs. They stand a chance against the superteam Warriors.

Okay.
Let us say that will happen. Kawhi is a humble guy and is not really for a superstar kind of view. I think this had been the issue within the Spurs team.
He can give way to Lebron but it is not really Kawhi who should change. It is Lebron. He should start giving the work of every position.
If one is a pointguard give him the ball to make plays. If he is a center let him be down there and do some postups.

Someone who is playing basketball will understand this. If you can hold the ball even just for a second it gives boosts to the player.
I do not care if he have large number of assists. It is not about the stats. Let the ball rotate.
7264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is a constant rise in the price of Bitcoin, important? on: June 16, 2018, 08:17:09 PM
Let's say you bought a bitcoin for $1000 in January 2018. <Just an example, not the real price at the time>

So you have to beat inflation and also the performance of other investments to say that your Bitcoin investment was a better investment, than other alternative investments.

Let's say your inflation is 5% and your best return on some other investment is %20 per year, then your Bitcoin price increase will have to be more than %25 to beat the alternative investment.

Let's say you hoard for 5 years, then you would need a price increase of 125% to beat your alternative investment returns over 5 years.

So we cannot have a price increase of 800% in year 1 and then a price decrease of %400 in year 2 and another price decrease of 200% in year 3 and so on...

Hope you get at what I am saying. Hoarding might be harmful to your profits, if you do not cash out SOME profit on the ATH.  Wink ..... You might end up with a bitcoin worth $100 in year 5.  Roll Eyes

Good idea. But who knows if that number is the all time high?
We have been in an amount of almost 20k per butcoin and yet a lot of people are making FUD's because they have bought at like 5 digits. They dont know. You cannot blame them too. They are not stupid. Just full of hope.

We can make this kind of analysis once we saw it already. But that is done. Have anyone really withdrawn at that price or just like any that is still looking for more then suddenly regrets came.

I dont think someone could make a perfect trade. It is just pure instinct.
7265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 15, 2018, 09:23:50 PM
After the  NBA finals. There were a lot of rumors that lebron james will be moving to other team. If this really happens what are your predictions? Where so you think lebron will transfer and can it be the key for his success on the next season?

For me i would love if he is going to lakers for a different taste

The discussions about that are already in this thread after the finals. Don't want to go back on our past conversations here so just wait if there's a new updates and progress in the rumor since we can't really expect to see updates for that because we are still on post finals phase where trades are silent. My forecast is early to mid August before we can see such big trade happenings.

Kawhi Leonard wants to leave San Antonio Spurs amid 'uncomfortable' situation, reports say.

At last Leonard now slowly admitting it. if Im on the Spurs management, if this guy demanded for trade then give it to him. There is no need to him to stay on Spurs if he is not comfortable. And besides, Spurs are used to play without him mostly on this year's season until to their last game in playoffs.

Yes. Something is really fishy happening within the San Antonio team. Now here it is. The proof that it is not really about the injury by now. There may be some bad things happening inside.
I hope he finds the right team that will really suit him.
A humble guy like that. An MVP should get a better team. When this man recovers I am sure he will reign the NBA again. It can be seen on how good he could play. He just needs some break and some time in game.
7266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 15, 2018, 04:31:07 AM
Player Option
A player option grants the player the power to decide whether to stay for another year or become a completely unrestricted free agent. In either case (team option or player option) if the option is refused, the player is completely unrestricted and free to sign with any team.
I see thanks for the link, this is very informative. I see that most of the superstars are on PO which allows them to choose to stay or go from their current teams.

Oh, Carmelo Anthony is in ETO (Early termination option).

Mostly superstars are given with that playet option. It like their incentive for being a good player.
But there are management that wont let go.
If ever the other team management offers a better price then they could go way higher just to bring back a star back.
We should remember, management have different goals than players and coach.
It is the fans who will pay tickets which needs to be pulled.
7267  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy going up and up everyday on: June 14, 2018, 10:54:17 PM
It is not that easy to just take out the traditional money which had been going on for ages.
Yes that paper will go on. But, have you seen how payments are being done now by average and middle class people?
Credit cards. No paper. Just plastic and yet used by a lot of people.

What is the next thing that people always carry when they go out?
Smart phones with internet connections. Yes.
That is the key to changing this world.
I believe next time we wont be needing any plastic cards. Just our phones could do it all.
Now that is change.

A little help for those who wants to see the free agents of 2018.
I just fixed it to see clearly instead of going in and out at ESPN website.
Here is the link though to see the 2018-2019 free agency.

Here we go. Enjoy guys.

Code:
NBA Free Agency 2018

Key: UFA = Unrestricted free agent; RFA = Restricted free agent; PO = Player option; TO = Team option; ETO = Early termination option

Free Agency Terminology
Unrestricted free agent
An unrestricted free agent (UFA) is free to sign with any team, though some unrestricted free agents have options on their existing contracts that, if exercised, may impact their choices.

Restricted free agent
A restricted free agent (RFA) can sign an offer sheet with any team, but the player's original team can retain him by matching the terms of that offer. The original team is said to have the "right of first refusal."

Team Option
A team option grants the original team the right to keep a player for another year.

Player Option
A player option grants the player the power to decide whether to stay for another year or become a completely unrestricted free agent. In either case (team option or player option) if the option is refused, the player is completely unrestricted and free to sign with any team.

Early Termination Option
An early termination option gives the player the right to end a signed contract. The option cannot be exercised before the end of the fourth year of an existing contract. If the player declines to exercise the option, he remains with the original team. If the option is exercised, he is free to sign with any team.

Two-way Free Agent
A Two-Way player (other than a first round draft pick whose third or fourth year option was not exercised) will be a Restricted Free Agent at the conclusion of a Two-Way Contract if he was on the NBA team’s active or inactive list for 15 or more days of the NBA regular season in the last season of such contract and provided that the team makes a Qualifying Offer to the player.

7269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it good to invest in ETH? on: June 13, 2018, 10:55:56 PM
I hope everyone here in this forum is noticing how Ethereum fluctuates in a sxale of $100-150.
Yes. Right now may be the biggest dip of it and a good time to buy.
It is just my speculation though that is why I am betting on it and will buy like 5 ETH and maybe I could come out with a profit og 500 to 750 dollars.
It's been 2 months of monitoring it and I hope I am right.

Quote from: Baoo
2-Stay away from media news:

Media are always manipulating traders through some false news and even the social media (Twitter, Facebook..), They may even control what happens in the market (crisis, jump), in order to achieve the interests of some (the capitalists) and regrettably, many believe the information and fake predictions.
" Do not be a sheep and act like a wolf "

This.
When a beginner learned about this then he becomes a cryptoman already. Grin
Too much lies in media and it is the possibly work of the government or whales trying to manipulate the price.
If you know where the whales want it to go then good. But, I doubt someone will tell it. It will just be a group of whales who will know when and when.

Make your own decisions. You are alone but you have your instincts as always. Trust your choice and make a stand for it. You lose, you get it back. You win then trade more.
7271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell token too early on: June 13, 2018, 07:59:51 PM
As a Bounty hunter I once made a mistake by selling tokens from Bounty that I received in a small market for $ 250. After 20 days the price of tokens that I sell is worth $ 1200. So the conclusion if you want to wait you will get maximum results. Believe every ICO project will prepare a good market in the future.

Not every ICO could do that. You must stay updated with the results of their efforts. The marketing efforts of the team behind that company, that is what makes it more valuable.

If they can do that, then why sell? It is a bounty payment so if you have a job that pays for your necessities then why sell it? Let it bloom for a while like a flower. They pay right after the ICO and the roadmap is not yet completed with that. It takes time as always. It is an investment so it is natural to take long.
7272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 13, 2018, 07:15:02 PM

The Golden State Warriors have a good line up now and there's no need to change or trade. They swept the NBA finals with the current roster that they have, so I don't think there's a reason for them to change it. Let the other teams trade or change their line up to match the current roster of GSW. Those 3 that you mentioned are there first before KD and when won the 2015 Finals championship.

Management have different views compare to ours. If you have enough space and have chances to acquire another big role player, you can market a potential player anytime.

Pointing to Anthony Davis rumor, let's just be clear that if the rumor is true it will not happened this season because AD is under contract and even he will opt-out his contract early, he will just be available on 2020, so yes on the next following season. And there are lots of happening around that year in GSW as Thompson and Green will hit free agency next season and the other season respectively so it means, some cap space can be changed on the way because we don't know how much contract will Thompson and Green will take. Take note also that Kevin Durant, now that he gained 2 Finals MVP will continue to be generous and accept a salary that is below to what he should earning.

That is just my own view and people here can free to comment about this.

Yes, this guys have different way of thinking.
They want money flowing and they want players who can fill up the seats of their homecourt.
No, not Anthony Davis. Let him be there and they just need a wingman for Rondo.
As Durant says, he still wants competition with the Game. If this superstars will go to their team it will not be as good as it is. It wont be a happy championship anymore. But he will still stay with GSW.

Management dont care about the chemistry this players make. It must be an inviting team as always to the crowd.
7273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Eid Mubarak Affect Bitcoin Value ? on: June 13, 2018, 05:59:34 PM
How come you went that way?
Far away from those who really affects the bitcoin price.
I dont really know what is happening except for one exchange being hacked. But if it is the End of Ramadan that will affect it then I guess you are confusing the crypto currency market.
It doesnt belong to that line. Look for other points. Not this.
7274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All in one crypto digital wallet! on: June 12, 2018, 11:14:59 PM
Have you ever thought that you might not just be the one thinking about it?
There may be a lot of technicalities for it to be done and somehow they stopped the project. Why?
How could you pull more investors with it to finance everything if you cant make it happen.
You will have to show them the future of it. Let them see it is possible then you can talk. Until now there is none and it is a good idea but a frequent one. So move on and think of something new.
7275  Other / Meta / Re: Don't reply to Trash posts on: June 12, 2018, 09:50:18 PM
Hey everyone, I just wanted to say. If there is a post that is of a troll like nature on this forum, the best way to make it go away is to simply not reply to it. Posts with a super unrealistic and or dumb title gets bumped back to the top when yo reply to it. I keep seeing posts that should have been dead months ago because people reply to it. Remember the people that want BTC to fail also post on this forum. When spreading FUD it's easy to start like 5-10 posts knowing that all of your positive replies will bump them all to the top.

Just looking out for us. Smiley

Correct. Stay away from negative point of view of others. Dont make it run until the 100 page where non sense is being said and posted.
Some people just love to fight over a talk which will not go any further than just what it started from. It will not improve amy of us but will just take us down.
7276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 12, 2018, 08:51:00 PM
And a meme suddenly went out in viral telling why is it that Lebron James is the most talked rather than the champions.  Grin

That is just too much. Maybe we all want this great player to have a championship but it doesnt have to go there. That is below the belt for me and Lebron might get hurt also.  Grin

We dont have to pity that man. He can get it and I know he will. I am not a pure Lebron fan but I really admire how he plays. He is really strong. He should not even be compared to MJ. He have a different kind of game.
Well Dirk and Kidd got their championship when they were old. If it is for you then I am sure it will happen.
7277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This market is unhealthy! on: June 12, 2018, 07:27:49 PM
You can say what you like but markets go down when there is no confidence!
If it crashes big time the media will make cryptos look worse than they already have!
Such is life!

That is true but should we believe the media?
They can say what they want but the truth is they dont really understand the market of crypto. Problem is those who will listen to them which also doesn't know what happens in the crypto market. Perhaps they wont care much about it. I hope so.

For me this will just be a normal day.
7278  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a Crypto day trader? on: June 12, 2018, 05:32:48 PM
What tools are you using to manage your daily trading? Which strategies are working best?

Just a spreadsheet listing all the altcoins that I have bought and how much I bought it.
That way I could see if there are changes already. Not just guessing when and how much I buy it.
It can easily be forgotten once you are holding a lot of them. Better to make a list.

Now after that, you will have to maintain. Monitoring all the prices everyday. It is hard work and 2 of them is being checked like every hour. Sure eats a lot of time. That is why some of the traders tend to make it almost like a job.
7279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Going Less Than $5000? on: June 12, 2018, 02:35:30 PM
I dont doubt those who have bought at a larger price for they must really stay to avoid a greater loss.
Day traders could be one of the culprits here but you cannot blame them for many of them have made it like their jobs.

There have been a lot of attack in the crypto world. Why? There is a lot money in it. Simple as that.
We can see more dips in the coming days but this I will tell you. They will never die.
This is a good lesson to make steps securing the crypto world more.
I am seeing ICO's now that will have something to do with security.

Hello Everyone, I'm very new to Altcoins, Cryptocurrencies In General. I'm Looking for someone's advice that has been around for a while to kind of give me some tips or pointers on how to spot legit coin's, what to look for before investing. Really just any guidance on a basic level would be greatly appreciated.

I think you really need to be specific here.
Have you find the right trading platform you will be engaging with?
Name it and we will see the legitimacy of it and also histories if there are scams that happened.

I dont think someone can teach you in an instant about trading. For some of them have differences. We need some examples of what you will trade and where.

Binance got a lot of coins listed with them. Recently, there have been a hack with one trading platform. So i suggest you pick one of them for starters.
