7301  Other / Meta / Re: Obliterate all Aridropped Merit Please @theymos on: May 30, 2019, 11:11:01 AM
There's a reason why it's called a privilege, you don't denial people of their privilege especially when they have done nothing wrong. I was against the demotion of jnr members who haven't earned any merit but that decision turned out great and considering earning just 1 merit isn't that hard even though you're just an average poster and not a spammer that was a great decision by theymos but demoting higher ranked users just because they're not impressing meriters isn't right.

A better solution will be demoting members with only airdropped merits who are caught spamming the forum with shitposts don't generalize the punishment just because of few members especially as earning the merit for those ranks (hero, legendary) isn't that easy.

To OP, just because you came in late doesn't mean the early users should get punished. Is just like the miners of today requesting for the same block rewards that miners during 2009-2012 got  Grin
7302  Economy / Reputation / Re: [need DT] using multiple account, trading merit, self-talking, trading trust on: May 30, 2019, 10:45:00 AM
I've been watching this thread from the beginning, and to be honest I want to believe wwzsocki.

I do too but they (DT member who have tagged him) can't based their judgement just on emotions, they have to work with facts and evidence and that's what they're doing until proven otherwise. My advice to @wwzsocki will be to continuing handling the situation calmly as he's doing and maybe over time he might get pardon and the tags will be removed but for the main time he should continue in his regular activities. Also don't over dramaticalize the situation to attract more tags if not you'll render the account you have worked hard ranking up useless.

I hate to see people that have put in some efforts into contributing to the forum get punished but rules are rules and we have to judge everyone equally.
7303  Economy / Reputation / Re: "Realish" time DT1 Change Log on: May 30, 2019, 07:19:28 AM
Kudos, you time off the forum truely paid off. Since the report updates every 10minutes, will there be an option to view the report of a particular day. e.g if I wanted to view the change log of today in 2weeks time will that option to fitter event by date be available?
7304  Other / Meta / Re: Please Do Something.(Ban Request) on: May 29, 2019, 05:32:16 PM
What's your objective OP?

OP's objective is simply, he brought the case forward so the user @mich will lose his slot on the Bitcasino signature campaign as he could not secure a slot himself. The whole requesting for ban subject title is just a distraction as he knows none of those offense will results to ban and considering he has committed similar offense don't think he was expecting a ban respond because it would had affected him too. He's just jealous and looking for a way to stop his partner in crime from enjoying the privilege he's currently enjoying.

7306  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the benefits of using Cryptocurrency as a payment method? on: May 29, 2019, 01:16:50 PM
OP firstly you have to understand none of the other cryptocoins you gave as example are currency and anyone accepting them as payment option are misusing them. Ethereum and Binance coin are utility tokens created for specific purpose inwhich been used as an currency wasn't one of those purpose.

Back to your questions, for personal benefits;
  • it eliminate the need for a third party system, which means I don't have to rely on a 3rd party system when carrying out a transaction using bitcoin although this benefit isn't constant since most merchant now employed the service of a 3rd party providers like bitpay etc.
  • Gives me comfort/satisfaction
  • Low cost of transactions
  • Borderless and faster transactions
  • Privacy/anonymousity

The list goes on and on but the most important which can also be classified under my satisfaction benefits is that it give me a sign of accomplishment that I'm contributing to the adoptation of bitcoin as a currency.
7307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telcoin ; a sleeping giant. on: May 29, 2019, 08:07:05 AM
we're moving towards crypto as utility and not only hype/speculation.

Exactly, the market is becoming more mature year in year out. Gone are the days investors rely mere on speculation and hype to decide on which cryptocurrency to buy or not to buy but now it's more of prediction (backed with analysis) and token utility like the likes of Binance coin etc. The shitcoins will all die out in the spam of 2-5years so before buying any token ask yourself this question, will this coin/token I'm about buying still be easily tradable in 5-10years period and will the utility of the token still be valued as to having an effect on the industry?.
7308  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which Mixer is getting axed next? on: May 29, 2019, 07:31:10 AM
Make your choice from the list before, anymore could be the next bestmixer and possiblities are some are already under investigation just as bestmixer was but nobody knew although if I was to pick the least favorite to get axed my vote will go to chipmixer (they appear more professional than the rest) I could be wrong though lol Grin Grin.

7309  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitCloak Mixer - Important Feature Proposal: Blacklist Addresses on: May 29, 2019, 03:05:28 AM
Very interesting feature although the possibility of this working effectively is minimum as it can be easily abuse and considering some decent amount of coins that get mixed has fraudulent origin, I can't just help but wonder how beneficial this idea is to your business operation.

Morally: The idea is perfect,
Business wise: Not that much.
7310  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some suggestions to future merit giveway thread starters on: May 29, 2019, 01:30:13 AM
I haven't seem merit giveaways lately in the forum after quickseller and OGnastys merit giveaway thread. It seems that most users are hoarding merits?

That's not the case, the lack of merit giveway thread doesn't mean people are hoarding smerits, infact we have more users awarding deserving post without creating a merit giveway thread (it isn't mandatory to create a thread to merit posts) also if you're in search of merit giveways you should look more in the off topic board because most giveway recently have been moved to the board.
7311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can anybody explain these term to me in crypto? on: May 28, 2019, 07:39:55 PM
Scalability is the problem bitcoin faces, on-chain and off-chain are type of bitcoin transaction while other terms you asked for description are the possible solutions to the scalability problem. For more detail information read the below links.

Read for scalability:
The bitcoin scalability problem refers to the discussion concerning the limits on the amount of transactions the bitcoin network can process. It is related to the fact that records (known as blocks) in the bitcoin blockchain are limited in size and frequency

Read for block size:
The block size is simply the maximum limit a block can be filled up with transactions. For example, the Bitcoin block size currently stands at 1 MB

Read for On-chain and off-chain transaction:
On-chain transactions reflected on the public ledger, visible to all participants on the blockchain network while Off-chain transactions, transfer agreements between two or more parties

Read for Lighting network:
The Lightning Network is a second layer off-chain solution for Bitcoin’s scaling problem. The goal is to technologically support Bitcoin mass adoption while keeping the coin useful, affordable, decentralized, and censorship-resistant. It does this by opening payment channels between 2 users/peers that (normally would) have established relationships and don’t require trust

Read to understand first and second layer protocol and how they can be used to solve the scalability problem:
Bitcoin’s first layer, or base layer, is a protocol proposed in 2008 that has reached a global state of consensus as it approaches its tenth birthday.

7312  Other / Meta / Re: Giving out merit to people you know, acceptable or not? on: May 28, 2019, 05:00:51 PM
Well just to point out, that post you linked in your OP was actually worth meriting irrespective of whether you know the OP or not. I did merit the post myself because it was a honest question that other users could relate to) so you didn't do anything wrong.

About meriting friends, I don't see anything wrong with that, especially when you did find their post won't meriting although you shouldn't abuse that privileges in regards to meriting spam or posts you won't have merited if you didn't know that individual personally because if you do it'll come back to hurt you.

Merit are met for quality contributions therefore irrespective of who the posters are, (be it friends, trolls, members of ranks we presume don't need merit etc) you're free to send them smerits with exception to yourself (alts).
7313  Economy / Reputation / Re: LFC_Bitcoin - Reputation Thread on: May 28, 2019, 02:43:32 PM
<***>

If I have been spamming just for some BTC dust as you claim but have ranked up from member rank to almost Hero member rank in just 5months (jan-may) of actively participating/contributing to forum discussion in the little way I could then the merit system have failed.

But guess what the system haven't failed since my contribution have been highlighted worth reading and truely they're (you can skimmed through my merited post to keep yourself busy instead of wasting your energy attacking a third world country dog as you describe).

If those i have labeled trustworthy (users in my custom trust list) have also labeled LFC_Bitcoin trustworthy and after going through his activities on the forum and have seen what he has been doing in regards to tagging scammers to keep the forum safe then off course he has to be a trust worthy/net positive user of the forum and have also earned himself a spot-on my custom trust list. (added).

7314  Economy / Reputation / Re: So you have DTs who do not want you to talk openly? on: May 28, 2019, 12:22:53 PM
You got exactly what you deserve, and it's just a matter of time before you get your main account tagged too, that's if it hasn't been tagged already. In as much as you have freedom of speech that don't mean you should use that freedom wrongly. You can't go around the forum accusing other members falsely and don't expect a retaliation since such act can be considered untrustworthy. You and your types are those making the forum uncomfortable and if there was a way to get rid of you all I won't hesitate to second that decision. We all can engage in the activities of the forum without getting red tagged by simply obeying the forum rules and learnings from mistake of other. If you don't engage in untrustworthy activities you won't get red tagged. It's as simple as that.
7315  Economy / Reputation / Re: LFC_Bitcoin - Reputation Thread on: May 28, 2019, 11:26:55 AM
I haven't encountered you personally and I won't based my judgement just on the fact you're a merit source (because these days anyone can be a source) but from the fact you're trusted by those I trust their feedbacks (custom trust list) and from the guidance of your trust feedbacks & also your role in bursting scammers and keeping the forum safe (DT member) I can conclude you're trustworthy.
7316  Other / Meta / Re: [Feature Suggest] Let disable multi quoting on: May 28, 2019, 08:14:31 AM
All what you just listed are the negative side of multi quoting now before you ask for that feature to be removed have you considered some positive side of the said multi qouting? In some cases multi qouting is useful, it can also help you understand the flow of a discussion (don't what to give full detail) but the only time the multi quoting feature is annoying is when it's misuse (mostly by newbies & spammers).

A more better solution would be enlightening them on how to use the feature instead of eliminating the feature.
7317  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ~ How Much Money Would you Need to Make to Stop Using Paid Sig Offers? on: May 28, 2019, 05:17:46 AM
Well I don't see any benefit in not having the privilege to wear a signature when you have reached the required rank but if I was asked to be paid off from joining any signature campaign (but can still wear a signature of my choice) my price will be 1 BTC

Not wearing a signature makes me feel like I'm naked lol so I can't give that up but for not joining a campaign that I can do.
7318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does Decaying sMerits will be healthy for the forum? on: May 28, 2019, 05:01:38 AM
Theymos might or might not implement that option anything soon, I don't think it'll have any impact because those who still don't want to participant in the meriting process still won't care if their smerit decay or not. Beside theymos has other options if he notice a sudden decline in circulation of smerits which is appointing new sources (which he just did few weeks back) or increasing the allocation of current sources.
7319  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hhampuz Reputation Thread on: May 27, 2019, 05:34:45 PM
Now I wish this was a self moderated thread so you could have filtered the off-topic spam off the thread so when interested forum users or projects hoping to hire you for future campaigns comes to read this reputation thread they won't be discourage (from reading the thread) because of all the nonsense off-topic spam I'm seeing from users their red tagged is like that of BTC during bear market.
7320  Other / Meta / Re: Post quality - evaluation on: May 27, 2019, 02:58:48 PM
Your second deleted post can be categorize as an irrelevant replies i.e replies that don't actually add any value or anything useful to the discussion at hand and most times this type of replies are used by spammers to boost their post count. (Note I'm not calling you a spammer but that reply of yours wasn't necessary) let your merits do the talking no need for irrelevant feedbacks.

As for your first post since it contains a question maybe the same question must have been previously asked and answered so maybe moderator saw it as a duplicate.

But after viewing both OP that your post were deleted from I can conclude none of your replies were contributive to.the discussion of the thread so moderators were right in deleting both posts.
